Water Taxi HQ

Comfortable & well run. Interesting to see the homes, hotels & yachts along the canal routes. Easy to hop on/hop off. And Kathy was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend.

The water taxi ride to Hollywood Beach was nice trip. There was a 30 minute delay leaving. We were told the time The boat would return to pick us up. 11 people returned before that time to learn the water taxi left 30 minutes early. Now we must wait 2 hours for the next taxi. One group of people had other plans. They had to call an Uber to get them back to Lauderdale on time. When we called the office Angela told us there was nothing she could do to help us.

Fun and informative way to explore the Ft. Lauderdale waterways. The guide shared interesting and funny stories about the luxury homes. We bought a pass for the whole day so we could hop on and off. The only challenge is that the online schedule was not accurate. We just showed up at a stop and hoped it would come soon. Definitely worth the experience!

Unfortunately, the water taxi experience was very disappointing. The trip was supposed to take around three hours, but it ended up lasting four hours in total. There was an unnecessary 25-minute stop due to “operational reasons,” which was neither properly explained nor communicated in advance. It felt disorganized and poorly managed. Additionally, the guide made the experience even worse. Instead of providing interesting and informative commentary, he spoke very negatively about almost everything and shared very little useful or engaging information. Overall, the tour lacked professionalism and quality.

I spent 2 yrs outfitting a boat in Fort Lauderdale (without a car), and the Water Taxi served me faithfully and true ! it's the marvelous people that crew the boats, that make it a great experience.. do look for my fav Captain's (Chuck and Greg), to take you for a super cool and fun ride ! can't say enough good things about the folks at Water Taxi ok, and blessings to Y'all. This company has potential and the ride was great and the first boat we were on had a great guide who was fun. The problem is you just don't know where each boat is going. We got on a boat at the It's Five o'clock somewhere stop, but it was an Express boat and it only took us to one place and then we had to get off and get on another boat and then that took us to another place and we had to get off and get on another boat. Very confusing. Nothing really on their brochure. I couldn't get service so I couldn't try to look it up using my phone so just confusing they could do better. Post maps ON the boat with stops.

horrible experience. way over priced and unreliable. waited at a stop for an hour and a half before a water taxi came going in the direction we needed to go. took it to 15th st fisheries and then was stranded there too, no taxis coming to take us back. it was only 8pm. i had to uber back to get my car to pick up my family. when i called the number on the website the person was not helpful and not friendly. what a waste of money. never again.

Fun water ride and tour of Fort Lauderdale area. Cool concept, plenty of seating, good tour guides and commentary while aboard. Captain and crew were nice and explained the stops and sights well. Purchased tickets in advance online with ease, quickly received an email with barcodes to provide for scanning. While on board there was mention of a cooler with a variety of drinks available for purchase. Our rides were smooth, and did not have any real issues. We did encounter differing personalities with the crew of different boats throughout the day. (Some were fun and relaxed, while others were snippy - we are all human, I get it.) All in all a fun experience and would try again in the future when visiting the area.
