Super fun spot! Bartender was really great and helpful when it came to picking out which drinks to order. The cocktails and mocktails were great!

Emma

Google
One of my favorite spots in Savannah! Staff is very nice, some of the nicest bartenders in Savannah (shout out Miles). Best vibe!

Stephanie

Google
I’m in town visiting some friends and had the chance to stop in here. A great tiki bar with cute decor and vibes. The drink I got was something with lavender and it was absolutely delicious. Super nice staff and a nice atmosphere. Worth checking out!

Paul Bodis

Google
Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Had live music when I was there. Drinks reasonably priced and well made

Yohany Rodriguez

Google
I love this bar, it’s really nice, I love the decoration vibe, the drinks are really good, I love the way how they serve the drinks. The bartenders were really nice with us.

Heather Murphy

Google
One of the best places in Savannah! Staff is super nice and the atmosphere is great! Miles is the one who has waited on me the most and he is always great! The drinks are super good but I would love a bit more of a variety with some drinks that aren’t so sweet.

Daniel Navarro

Google
This place is amazing. Love the decor, Lane, our bartender, was really friendly and fun to talk to. Now let's get to the drinks. Prior to arrival, someone told us this was the only place to get cocktails, and he was not lying! Everything tasted so good, not too fruit forward like many tiki places. But like all tiki places, they have fun glassware. Defiantly coming back!

Really cool place. Amazing types of drinks

Yelp
I'm a tiki bar lover, so when in Savannah I sought this bar out. Street parking is available. It's a true tiki bar with great decor, solid drinks, and great branding. We left with a cool mug to add to the collection. Bartenders were super helpful and friendly. I love sitting at the bar to watch the action, but there is a variety of seating on two levels. They also have great bar snacks to soak up the alcohol. The second best part was the live music which was starting just as we arrived. A man named Noah was playing that evening and he was excellent. Super authentic tiki vibes and great bartenders make for a good night.

Yelp
This place has such a cool vibe and eclectic decorations! We visited on a Wednesday night so there weren't many people inside. We sat at the bar and our bartender promptly came over to offer us recommendations and take our order. Our bourbon drinks were tasty! We will be back as we want to experience it on a busier night! It would be a great place to hang out with friends in a casual bar setting.

Ivan C.

Yelp
Awesome drinks. Great Piña colada and the espresso martiki was phenomenal. Great music. Awesome service. Aiden was super nice and eager to provide a great vibe. Def a must go to place

Yelp
This is by far probably one of my favorite tiki bars from the ones I have gone to! The atmosphere was perfect, the decor was so well done and more of a modern/coastal tiki (not sure exactly how to describe it) but everything about it was great and I really loved the vibe! Our bartender was Brick and he had amazing flair! He really knew how to prepare all the drinks and it was fun to watch him! He was also super attentive! It wasn't busy at all, but we were also there on Tuesday (on purpose). We ordered a couple drinks each, and each one was super tasty: 1. La Noche Ardiente (my favorite - I love a good spicy tiki drink!) 2. Painkiller (classic!) 3. Jungle Bird 4. Isle of Hope Would definitely recommend and come back!!!

Yelp
A simply excellent tiki bar across the board. Bartender was fantastic for suggestions, mixing and commentary on some of the drinks they made. Atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect and what you'd want in a tiki bar. Drinks were well made and incredibly unique. Can't recommend enough.

Yelp
Water Witch is an amazing tiki bar tucked in the trendy Starland District. This was one of the first places we hit up when we got to Savannah and it would definitely be a regular spot if I lived there. It's super low key so great spot to have a drink after work, start/end the night, or just stay as your destination. Drinks were great and came in unique and fun glassware. Bar tender was friendly and gave us some recs for what to do in town so total win.
google avatar

Yelp
This hidden gem is located in the Starland district just a short walk from Starland yard, next a great Japan Street food restaurant and The Vault restaurant and street parking is available. From the sidewalk this hidden gem doesn't give much away but once you enter you find that it's actually a tiki bar. There are tall tiki statues, and theme mask along the walls and around the tables. It's dimly lit to make it feel cozy but still bright enough that you can see the menu and your party. I've been visiting twice. Once during the summer and I had a tropical fruit drink with rum and again right after thanksgiving. They made me a coconut milk eggnog served in a frosty mug which was fun and super cute and then a coconut milk margarita which was delicious. The house sangria is also delicious and made fresh. The staff have always been super friendly and knowledgeable on allergies and what is good to mix with what. I've never been great at being at to figure out what I want mix drinks wise. I like that they can whip up something base off my mood and my allergy's.

Yelp
Water Witch is a tropical getaway nestled into a Savannah neighborhood storefront. This tiki bar isn't a speakeasy - you can stroll right in sans password. The interior is well decorated, floor to ceiling, with island themed goodies and no shortage of bamboo. The bar boasts an impressive menu of tiki drinks, including a few larger, group drinks. They serve up a few small bites like nuts and pretzels and a couple appetizer type dishes. Their menu has guava cheese buns but when I ordered, they were out. Bummer. Got the spicy pretzels instead and they paired well with my relatively sweet drink. The bartender was friendly and helpful and the establishment was super clean. Fun bar, relaxed vibes, high alcohol content. Cheers!

Yelp
Water Witch does not look like much from the outside, but is a cool tiki bar once you step inside. It's a bit off from the downtown, which meant it wasn't so busy and we were easily able to get a table, despite a larger group. We ordered at the bar, the bar tender was friendly and good with his recommendations. Lots of drinks with fun names and in theme glasses, from sharks to lite barrels. Great spot!
google avatar

Tyler L.

Yelp
Water Which has extremely creative recipes in a really fun tropical themed environment, since it is further away from downtown, it is a great place for locals to frequent and when I go, I like to pick a completely random drink from the menu as I know that it will be Incredible! Even if they are ingredients that I will not try at other bars I'm happy to try them at Water Witch because they execute so well. The staff is always friendly! My only apprehension in posting a five star review is my fear that more tourists will make it to Water Witch!
google avatar

Ophelia M.

Yelp
We were wandering around the Starland District when we decided to seek out a cocktail bar. When I saw the Water Witch was close by, I knew we had to give it a try (4.5 star average tiki bar? Yes, please). We walked in and it's like you're in a different world. They definitely leaned into the tiki theme and I'm here for it. We sat at the bar but there's plenty of table seating as well. For my first drink, I got their pier pressure, which is a tiki-tinged version of an old fashioned. It was a delight. For my second beverage, I got their tiki-negroni, which was also great! The service was lovely throughout our visit. Amazing mixology + fun atmosphere + great service = an amazing evening at Water Witch! Get to it!

Yelp
I absolutely love this bar! The bartenders are so awesome and the vibe is super fun. My cocktails were delicious. They have live music too. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Water Witch Tiki Bar at Savannah, GA: a bit far from downtown, 80's music (not tiki themed), hipster modern atmosphere, insta-friendly. Unfortunate construction noise. https://www.waterwitchtiki.com/menu/ - Savannah Planters punch - El presidente - Edge of the earth* - winner - Hemingway slushie (very rum forward) Sleek decor, cool interest wall of mugs/plants/knickknacks. Bar, with open table seating next to bar, a few hi-top tables beside bar, and two comfy small-group seats near entry door. Unique glass float "chandelier". Food options weren't enticing but we did buy their cool octopus/barrel mug (which they gave to us in a bar towel cuz they had no packaging stuff on hand). Drinks were ok. Service was minimal. (Water witch was open on Mon, when bamboo room was closed)

Yelp
Had so much fun hanging with my new friends here! We ordered the drink served for two or more in a bowl !! Super yummy recipe very pretty delivery clip is below!!

Yelp
Excellent experience - thank you to Brick! Great specialty cocktails and ambiance. Highly recommend the La Noche Brillante.

Yelp
I LOVE the interior. Was walking from class on a boiling hot day and got a pina colada and it was so good and refreshing. A great escape from the heat.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful place, fantastic drinks and excellent people. I had a Piña What and my friend had a Banana Spliff. Both were really great. The decor is perfect. If I lived closer I would be hosting parties at this great spot. Did I mention that the bartenders are awesome? Friendly, attentive and they make killer drinks. This was the perfect antidote to this weekend's craptastic weather. You have to try this place!
google avatar

Caroline M.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much from outside, but once you step in you're transformed to another place! I loved the decor! They did a great job setting the tiki mood of the place. The bar area was hopping so we chose a table nearby and got two drinks. They came in fantastic glassware and were very delicious! Definitely do not miss this tiki bar, as it was our favorite on our trip to Savannah!
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
Really cute tiki bar! I loved the decor and wallpaper. The bartenders took extra care in making the drinks and garnishes. We had a great time and will be back when we are in the area! *visited in Sept 2020

Yelp
I was looking for a place that had "pretty cocktails" and was pleasantly smitten with the Water Witch. Friendly service (unlike many of the other places we had been prior), knowledgeable mixologists, and super fun drinks. I loved it so much that I bought a mug to take home to keep the memory going. The setting is cozy and intimate. Very warm and tropical vibes, great for pictures and setting the tone. A very chill experience, and we made several friends while there.

Ann J.

Yelp
A great laid back tiki bar with delicious cocktails and attentive and friendly staff who pour with a heavy hand.

Yelp
I popped in late afternoon on a Saturday just to check it out-I've just moved to Savannah from Boston and am looking for cool hangouts. I was really happy with the Water Witch. The drinks were great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and remained so even when there was a sudden rush and the place packed in. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a unique spot in Savannah!! The drinks were top notch, and bartender McKay was so conversational, friendly and makes a mean, mouth watering classic Piña Colada! They ran the bar and a couple of tables themselves and we still felt welcomed and got our drinks in a very reasonable amount of time. The vibe is casual, but the atmosphere is still very lively and fun! We recommend the classic Piña Colada, the Naked & Famous, Planter's Punch, Fun & Fancy Free -- and if you're in the mood for something a little different, McKay's twist on a Pineapple Fizz w/ spiced rum!! We weren't there very long, but we already can't wait to go back and try more of the menu and hang out at this neat tiki bar!! 10/10!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
I knew I was going to love this place when I saw pictures, but man did I love this place after going! I was one of 3 customers (5:30 on Tuesday) and I loved that I had the whole place to take pictures in! I was interested in the happy hour menu but never got around to trying it. I went with the Wicked Punch and the Pina What as my drinks. The bartender paid very close attention to detail and even let me choose the cup I wanted for my second drink. He also took a picture of me since I was alone! Great service, great atmosphere, and extremely tasty drinks. The Pina What was definitely my favorite out of the two because it was so creamy & rich with the horchata cream! Would love to come here again with friends when it is safe to do so!

Yelp
The only have bites but great drinks The service was good The ambiance was perfect for date night or hang with friends

Yelp
Such a cute spot. The cocktails were incredible & the scene was such a vibe. They had live music playing and several lounge/seating areas. Every cocktail came in super interesting glasses and they had tons of other glassware on display. A perfect lil spot to stop by and grab a cocktail while bar hopping.

Yelp
Not kidding when I say we had almost one of every drink here (see photos). This is a hidden gem right next to Squirrel's Pizza. The interior is like another world. Every corner it's decorated Polynesian and creates an amazing ambiance. Our bartender Josh was awesome and took the time to tell us about the drinks and even his love for Star Wars, same bro!!! To some, the drinks may seem pricey but the ingredients and effort going in make it absolutely worth every cent. Each drink is served in a special glass specific to that drink. Some are set aflame, some have eccentric garnish and some have very exotic ingredients. We had the ahi tuna and kalua pork. Both were served in the same style as the drinks, exotic and over the top. Both dishes were wonderful. The macaroni salad was perfect. Please if you are near this place, just stop in even if just to see the decor.

Yelp
After a long day at work, this was the perfect relove this place! I'll be back soon! Our bartender Brick was awesome!
google avatar

Alana R.

Yelp
It's a tiki bar in Savannah! With the yucky weather we've had it felt like I could've been at the beach. I recently was taken here by a friend and it was pretty empty so we got a seat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the very knowledgeable and friendly bartender. I started with Tradewinds which I loved. Look it up, if you love coconut then hmu. Or am I weird? You'll like it. Just go.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
Cool vibe, great drinks. Lots of nice rattan chairs and couches. Music was the perfect volume and mix.
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
Good vibes and pretty good drinks. One drink is roughly $13, but they also have happy hour from 5-7pm when some are cheaper. The inside has very fun decoration! It's tropical themed and it's very calming inside. It was also very empty when we went, granted it was a Tuesday evening, but we were the only ones there. They only have drinks, no appetizers which was a bit of a bummer. But the bartender was very nice. I got the cherry Vanilla Coke slushie which was good! The coke flavor was very subtle but it was good.
google avatar

McCalla O.

Yelp
Love the name, great vibe and atmosphere, fantastic cocktails. The mixologists here are truly artists who take their craft seriously. Go with their suggestion. I hate banana flavor but I like bananas and had I not asked I would have missed out on possibly the best drink on the menu, definitely the most fun! I don't recall the name but it both is, and is ON, fire... literally. They make all infusions and ingredients in house and the artistry with which they approach the flavors let's you know why they've made it to the top of several lists for "Best Tiki Bars in America".

Patrick P.

Yelp
Authentic Tiki vibe. Excellent selection of drinks, no food here. Bartender was nice, helpful, and engaging. Worth checking out.

Yelp
This review is from March 2021. We stayed at a friend's house in the area surrounding Water Witch. We had only ever stayed near the river and this was the first time we stayed more inland. We HIGHLY recommend staying further inland or at least exploring other parts of Savannah. There are a TON of restaurants, bars etc to go to that we had been missing out on! We stopped by for a couple of drinks and absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was very tiki but not tacky tiki. Every drink we had was definitely delicious. The wait was a little long but that was because everyone else seemed to be ordering the most elaborate drinks ever and the bartenders were swamped with those. The drinks and decor are very much insta worthy *I'm looking at you Bachelorette ladies* When we visit our friend again we will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Trust me, you'll want to check out Water Witch if you're looking for great bar theming and strong, flavorful cocktails. You feel fully transported to another place when you walk in the doors. You'll find the menu on a QR code at the tables/bar, they are a full bar with beer, wine and spirits. If you can't find a drink of your pleasure on the menu, they can craft pretty much anything with their spirits. I'd highly recommend the Queen of the Mountain ($9), its truly my favorite with Gin, Mount Rigi, Cocci Americano, Vermouth. It's strong like a dirty martini but sweet instead of briny. If you've never had a milk punch cocktail and like a spice forward punch (think Christmas), the Lion's Tail ($12) is a interesting choice. I tend to lean towards the stirred drinks but they also have a full list of Tiki drinks served in styled glasses with ice. They have happy hour from 5-7p with a special menu, but you can order off that menu in off hours with a couple dollars more.

Yelp
So first of all the bartender kept flirting with me which make me very uncomfortable. Second of all I ordered a Bloody Mary and he made fun of me for ordering such a crapy drink.....he kept asking me if I wanted something better. He finally made me my drink...which sucked! After I was done he gave me another drink and I definitely did not order it but was put on my tab. He kept flirting with me and would not leave me alone. My bill was over $40 including a drink I never asked for. I brought this up to him and he said "Not my fault you ordered a sh** drink". Would not recommend
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
I had been looking forward to trying this place for a long time. The atmosphere was an awesome tacky tiki but other than that it was a huge let down. It was not busy especially for a Friday night and they had two bartenders but we were completely ignored without any acknowledgement even tho we sat right at bar in front of them. After the 5th person who randomly walked up and got served before us we just left. I know I could have been aggressive and likely been served but I hate places (especially in crowded ones) that force you to be rude in order to get a drink.
google avatar

Clayton N.

Yelp
I had a good feeling prior to coming that I was gonna enjoy this place...I mean how could you go wrong with a tiki bar? We arrived at around 10:30pm on a Saturday night. It wasn't too crowded which really surprised me because this place was awesome! The atmosphere inside is super chill and quaint, they have separate seating areas for larger groups. I was with 2 friends and we were able to pull up a table and chairs by the tiki waterfall which was awesome. For our drinks we got the Bali Bali and it was super tasty. All drinks are insta worthy! The kitchen was closed but they provided free small bar snacks. The service was also terrific! I forgot the servers name but she was super friendly and attentive! I would definitely return here while visiting Savannah again!

Yelp
I do love a good tiki bar! I'm glad we could safely stop in while we were in town. (It appeared as though they had all the safety precautions in place, but we were able to safely distance because we went right when we opened and were the only customers there at the time.) The bar is very unassuming as you pass by it, at first glance it just looks like a regular storefront in a little plaza. Then you look a second time and you realize the windows are all covered in leaves! And behind the leaves, the tiki decor does not stop. Half the fun of a tiki bar is the tiki decorations! I will say, though, that I've been to a few tiki bars around the US and this bar was probably the least cluttered-feeling and the best lit. Par for the course for any tiki bar is an awesome cocktail menu! This one did not disappoint. My boyfriend had ordered a drink that was on the happy hour menu and it ended up being a canned beer which we were not expecting, but his second drinks presentation (a literal smoke show) made up for it! I ordered two cocktails that were also very well made and had all the garnishes. I also love seeing all the awesome tiki glasses different tiki bars have. I really wanted to see if I could pin point and order whatever drink came in the shark glass but I was unsuccessful. The bartender serving us was the perfect amount of hospitable-- checked in on us at the appropriate times and left us relatively alone after that! Plus, he turned on the Goonies while we were drinking, a fine movie choice! Would definitely return again next time we're in town!

Kyle A.

Yelp
Best drinks in Savannah, awesome vibes, even better service. If you're looking for a place with craft and consistency, look no further, you've found it.

Yelp
Oh have we been longing for a true tiki experience! We we so happy to have found it here is Savannah. The vibe was true tiki in a very clean and modern way. The drinks were very good and served in nice glasses. We had the Ting of Fire, the SS Ulysses and the Bali Bali. All were fabulous. The Baki Bali was maybe the favorite and packed quite a punch. The Pu Pu menu was also excellent. We had the tahini dip and the tropical shrimp cocktail which were fresh and delicious. Can't wait to come back!

G B.

Yelp
Simply delightful. Fun decor (understated tiki), delicious and creative cocktails, knowledgeable bartender. We search out tiki bars when we travel, this one has some of the best drinks we've found. We happened to be there at a slow moment, so had plenty of time to chat with the bartender and watch him at his craft.

Yelp
Water Witch, in the Starland District, will carry you away to a brief island vacay! You'll step into a faraway place with tropical foliage from floor to ceiling, wicker chairs, a gurgling corner waterfall fountain, candle lit tables and Jimmy Buffett or the sound track of South Pacific playing in the background. This tiki bar was appealing on this cold January night! Classic and Modern umbrella cocktails are the center of attention on their cocktail menu, but they have a full bar, wine and beer offerings, too. Our group happened upon this new spot, and we couldn't resist the draw of this tropical retreat. These cocktails are a mature, classic version with top shelf liquor and exquisitely garnished with orchids (yes appeared to be real flowers), mint and chunks of pineapple. Hubs ordered me the the Pain Killer $12, a similar drink to the Pina Colada but with orange juice instead of cream and served with grated nutmeg. Garnished with a chunk of pineapple it's served in fun Tiki glassware. Be warned, it will cost you $40 should you decide to take a tiki glass home. The birthday girl in the group ordered a Navy Grog, $10, a blend of Demerara rum, dark rum, fresh lime and grapefruit juice, club soda and honey. It was beautifully garnished with an orchid and fresh mint. Group "bowls" of libations are offered, too: Kamehameha Rum Punch, $22, or Scorpion Bowl, $25. If wine is your preferred choice they have a small variety of white and red on their cocktail menu and all French in origin. You'll find craft brew here too, $5, Pacifico, Pretoria Fields, Scofflaw, Tiger Beer, Tona, and Victoria. They have a limited "bites" menu of 7 items ranging from Ahi tuna poke, lump crabmeat dip to a pork offering, $10-$13. Feed your group and try an assortment PuPu Platter for $50. I'd love to see Water Witch add the historical Savannah original, Artillery Punch, to their cocktail menu. I believe they would do it justice! I look forward to a return visit!

Howdy Sugar 0.

Yelp
There's hospitality, and then there's "Southern Hospitality". #HowdySugar highlights the sweet spots in Savannah that make me feel special. Todays trip: Water Witch It was 44 degrees today. That might not sound like much to you northerners, but here in the south, thats colder than a witch's titty in a brass bra. Speaking of witches, I have been waiting for Water Witch to open with baited breath...and boy, they did not disappoint. I walked in out of the cold, threw my overcoat off and I am immediately transported to the Brady Bunch episode in Hawaii, Greg Brady wished he wiped out here. Before I can even order, Gilligans Island comes on.,.Hey, If Im about to go on a three hour tour, ill get stranded in this spot anytime...as long as I get to be Ginger. This place is truly special. It's camp (at its best), tiki, tropical, all rolled up into one fabulous surreal space. Miss Dani makes me a Monkey Float served in a most fabulous tiki vessel. While I am not a sweet, tropical drinker, I am suprised by its complex flavor profiles, including the garnish. Hello...Im tipsy now! I almost call it quits uintil I see the" Ring of Fire" on the menu. Really? Are you kidding me? (Now Y'all know I was raised on Cash, and open every Howdy Sugar show with Ring of Fire) I order it immediately (and thank you Mister Anthony for catching me on fire!) Holy S&^T! What a spectacilar cocktail! As Auntie Mame once said, "OK, everyone lit?" Um, yes. The menu is tight and light ("Witch" I love) A few classics, a few modern and a few bites. The cozy, creative atmosphere literally catapaults you you into an escape. Who needs a cruise honey, when you got this in your backyard? Personally, Ill be back every rainy day in Savannah. Thank you Madsion, Dani, Elise and Mister Anthony...Y'all turned a cold Tuesday night into something quite special...no, Spectacular! Y'all get ready for the Witch! She's about to cast a spell in Starland. Thanks Sugar, John-Earl #HowdySugar #VisitStarland #StarlandDistrict #VisitSavannah # #SavannahGeorgia #DowntownSavannah #HistoricSavannah #WelcomeToSavannahYall

Yelp
It's a cute neighborhood bar! It has unique drinks and the bartenders love to experiment!

Amanda G.

Yelp
Great hidden tiki bar in the Starland area. Fun cocktails and a knowledgeable bartender who wants guests to get what they enjoy. Reasonably priced, fun ambiance, and parking a plenty (although we ubered).

Yelp
Was down in starland district and had to drop in to visit one of the new spots. I was not disappointed. This is a gem in the city in that once you enter you aardvark transported to the pacific and you don't realize your in Savannah. They are a full up Tiki Bar with all the drink concoctions you can think of witty the different types of glass wear to boot. Think Polynesia and drink garnIshes and umbrellas galore. They have the entire Giilligans Island series playing on the tv which is a nice touch. II had their navy grog and it was excellent. I didn't have a chance to try their poo poo platter but will have to return to give it a try. If your wanting something different this is the place to try.

Yelp
Such a cool bar! Great vibe! Creative drinks and friendly bartenders who were so helpful in suggestions. A must go-to place when you are in Savannah! Definitely will be back. Thank you for a wonderful night out with friends!
