Waterhawk Lake Club

We were seated outside per our request, which only had a few full tables, yet oddly the hostess seated a lady at our table. We have no issue sharing a table when it is busy but this is a bad policy or bad training of the hostess by management. We noted no future persons were seated similarly and they had switched hostesses. We ordered from the miracle menu and found the drinks a bit rich bit the yippee kay yay was okay. Their bartenders were able to make a very tasty mai tai and they have great cider. We enjoyed the winter squash starter, which was good but only one or two pieces were caramelized. The spinach dip was very good. We liked the braised short rib and thought the horse radish cream was a nice addition even for people who don't normally enjoy horse radish. It is a bit steep a price for the quantity. Overall a nice experience and we look forward to some improvements.

It's really nice for the Holidays with all the lights & fun drinks. I started with the loaded fries with pork and they were delicious. Not pictured was their chicken sandwich. I asked to make it spicy and it was like a sweet and spicy sauce. To drink I tried the Yippie Ki Yay, which was pretty strong for me but I don't really drink so I guess it depends on tolerance. Overall good food and good service.

Made reservations so got seating right away. Fortunately, got the side of the shaded table. Others who got seated after us, near us was too sunny so they moved. They had live music. The ducks were quacking ever so cutely. Food was good. Loaded fries were good, spicy. Server was nice. Place was busy outdoors, no one sat inside even it’s pretty nice indoors too. Parking took a lil while but ppl come and go so just have to wait. Wish there were more dessert options.

Great place to relax and enjoy. Food was overall good. Drinks were great, and when I had one that I did not like the staff were accommodating & switched my beverage choice. Great for pets and large parties. Staff very friendly & attentive. Great view of the lake, both indoor & outdoor seating. Look forward to going back!

Definitely can tell this place is related to Brewsters in Petaluma. Visited Dec 1st, and they, like Brewsters, go hog wild on the Xmas decorations. Slightly different food and beer and drink offerings, but along the same lines. Huge place really, and nice to be on the “lake”. Brewster’s has a more intimate feel whereas Waterhawk has the more laidback feel. I had the loaded fries, which were solid, and slice of their mushroom/arugula pizza. I appreciate how their pizzas aren’t the standard fare you’d get anywhere else. The loaded fries have a kick to them, so heads up.

Ok I’m really puzzled by the negative reviews. We used to come here fairly regularly when it was Bear Republic and this is definitely a step up. Lovely wood tables outside (inside is nice too), plenty of shade, amazing service and delicious food—soft shell crab BLT, burger and grilled summer peppers as an appetizer. Didn’t try any cocktails but they look fun and yummy. A three piece band was playing nice background music, a mix of classics and originals. Ignore the haters! We’ll be back!

Location by the lake is excellent, although could use a bit more shade. Our server, Anthony, was a pro. Very attentive and polite, and clearly wanted to genuinely make sure we were enjoying our time. While the food isn’t perfect (a touch more seasoning here and there), it’s still plenty delicious. This is a perfect place to grab a nice drink and have some good food along with it. We’ll be back!

Nothing special about this new restaurant’s food. Food is average, it seems that people mostly come for the waterfront view and the drinks. Service is excellent, friendly and attentive. The biggest letdown is the salad with the burgers… just a pile of plain lettuce. Great spot for the view, not the food.

My friend and I decided to stop in for lunch today. This restaurant has changed owners a few times and this is a new to us business. we decided to split their fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was nice and crispy and had a little bit of spice it also had a hint of sweetness, which balanced out the flavor. The sandwich also had crunchy coleslaw that enhanced the flavor of the sandwich. It came with fries that were cooked just right. We also split the brussels sprouts. They were good, but they weren't as crunchy as I normally like them. The staff we're helpful and friendly. They were attentive to our needs. The restaurant itself was quite comfortable, but the music seemed to be a little loud making it difficult at times to hear each other

Winter Wonderland!! Love the festive Christmas decor. Servers are very kind, attentive, and efficient. Very open and spacious. Comfortable seating. Clean and no wait seating. Tables for big groups. Food was served quickly, hot, tasty. I just wish my polenta with BRAISED SHORT RIB had better texture and flavor. Polenta was not good for $38 plate should be improved. Maybe adding veggies. Otherwise short rib meat was tasty. They have fun cocktails for the holidays! Only dessert is soft serve ice cream so wishing other options. Otherwise great place!

My family and I came to check out the festive Miracle: A Christmas Pop at the Waterhawk Lake Club. This is a very fun experience for families and friends. Every inch of the restaurant and bar from the inside out is decked out in Christmas decoration. Every detail is not overlooked from the movie "Elf" playing on the t.v. Christmas themed menu and drinks in specialty mugs. We had already had dinner so we came for dessert and drinks. Our party couldn't resist the menu and did order some food items on the side. The menu also looked very good so we will be back for dinner in the future. I ordered their Valley Ford vanilla soft serve but it could also be ordered as a salted caramel or you can get it as a swirl of the two. They also had add on toppings such as peppermint bark, coco nib, sprinkles and cookie crumble. The service was accommodating when we asked to switch from the heated patio to a high top table inside. Service was busy so it did take a while to check out when we were ready. But service was prompt delivering food and drinks as well as friendly. Parking can be busy so arrive a little bit early to secure parking. When making reservations note whether you want to sit inside or outside. We were lucky to move inside but it might not always be an option.

Just got back from the Christmas Miracle experience at Waterhawk. Lovely. The ambiance is awesome on the lake, the restaurant is roomy and comfortable. The lights made it feel magical. I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich with miso aioli and sweet sriracha. The burger was also solid. Fries were typical pub fries -- would have preferred something a bit special. We go to Brewster's in Petaluma a lot, so it's hard not to compare them. I think I still prefer the food at Brewsters... But the atmosphere at Waterhawk is fantastic. We are fortunate to have both in our area.

We celebrated my birthday at Waterbar's Christmas pop up and had such a great experience! The food was so good and indulgent. We ordered the mac and cheese, wings, Cobb salad, and braised short ribs and everything was really good. I was a bit weary after seeing the negative reviews. I had already mentally prepped to not be happy with the food because of what I had read. Glad to report that all of us were surprised with how good the food was - we reordered almost every appetizer. It was that good. The host station was also very accommodating with our party size and seating preferences, which we really appreciated. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, including Santa. I will say service was a bit slow, but that was completely expected since the place was packed with people. There were lots of celebrations happening and several large parties dining at the same time. Our server was clearly managing a big section so we just made sure to ask and order everything we needed when she had a chance to stop at our table. Slow service was not a deal breaker here since the food and drinks were good. Overall, this is the great spot for holiday dining! incredibly festive, lively and perfect for celebrating. 10/10.

What a gem!!! Right from the get go, we were welcomed with open arms. Ariana (Not Grande) greeted us with open arms and even offered to take our pics - rare to get that kind of service now a days. She didn't do this with the feeling of force either but out of kindness. We were in town for a girl's pickelball weekend and this place was recommended and we see why! CRAZY awesome spot by the lake. Our host was Aviv - Spring in Hebrew - and she was all smiles the entire encounter. She was just lovely in every way and such light about her presence. She had a sweet smile and eyes of wonder. The food - we shared 2 burgers and ordered the Brussel Sprouts - YUM YUM YUM. We had the cucumber tequila and soda water, Aperoll and a Hasey beer to compliment our meal. Cheers to the bartender :) I highly recommend this restaurant whenever you're in town. If you come in Dec - you will be pleased with their decor (enjoy the video) Everyone we encountered, staff and customers were really nice and we had a gentleman get in a few of our group pics. We of course welcomed him with open arms. 5 stars - deserving of each one! We will be back again.

My second time to Waterhawk, and wow, it is incredibly festive for the holidays! The decor is similar to their other restaurant Brewster's , yet there is more indoor seating here. We had a very accommodating server, Cody, who was pleasant to chat with. My friend and o shared the mushroom pizza which I found excellent! I liked the crispiness of the crust. My friend had hoped for some kind of sauce on it yet I didn't mind at all. As it was my friends birthday, I wanted to order her dessert. Unfortunately the only dessert option is soft serve. That would be terrific on a hot day but it was chilly today. I'd recommend adding another dessert option.

First time going to Waterhawk since it opened and the decorations for the holidays did not disappoint. Our son was enthralled with all of the lights and trees around the restaurant. The staff all were cheery and waved at him and gave us that holiday cheer. The drinks were delicious and the appetizers were good for keeping us settled. The heat lamps kept the atmosphere warm in the crisp night air. We will definitely come back to try their regular menu.

Fun place for holiday cocktails! They are totally decked out in Christmas decorations and have lakeside seating. Our server was prompt in taking our orders and checked on us throughout our time there. We enjoyed craft cocktails in adorable holiday mugs and had yummy appetizers. The soup and burrata were delicious. I'll be back!

The ambiance is a definite highlight, and includes PLENTY of outdoor and indoor seating, stunning wood grain tables, lake views, fully stocked beautiful bar, fire pits & heaters. Gives elevated but casual vibes. Service was fantastic - positive, friendly, efficient, completely professional! Our server's guillotine earrings made us smile! BACON BLUE BURGER $21 - The choice for cook is "pink or no pink" and I went with pink. There's no "medium" or "medium well." *MY* ordering mistake but it was just toooooo pink for me as it was soft textured. THAT SAID, all the additions were balanced, with no one flavor outdoing another, and the blue cheese/horseradish sauce had a nice kick with subtle blue funk. The fries were typical, with room for improvement to match the elevated nature of the burger. Maybe some sort of roasted garlic or any of their other current aiolis vs. plain ketchup. I didn't order drinks on this trip but the beer choices were plentiful and the cocktail offerings were intriguing and well-priced. When I want to enjoy a burger, overlooking a lake, listening to some live music.. Waterhawk would be a great choice!

The good: Location! and fun, festive atmosphere and decorations (thanks to Miracle). Reservations are a MUST for the holidays. Our server, Kristen K. was awesome! She was managing multiple tables but remained patient and unflappable when we had to return multiple plates, multiple times, due to improper cook and incorrect plating. The mushroom pizza was good and was not one of the returned dishes. The Miracle, holiday themed cocktail menu was "fun" but not the best tasting concoctions. Stick with traditional bar drinks or beer. The bad: the food! They couldn't manage to cook burgers any way other than RARE (despite requesting "well done"). TWICE we returned them because they were waaaayy too pink (cold) in the center! They also came without the desired accompaniments - although they were specified on the ticket. We were a group of 5 and 1 dish came a full 10-min before everyone else's. And ultimately, only 3 of us ate due to the aforementioned burger bust. I will return after the holidays and give it another try. Hopefully they will have worked out some kinks and improved the menu/kitchen.

We have not been here since it changed ownership. I retains it's great location and views. The outside dining area is great with a lot of heaters for the cool evenings. I started out with a Bob Barker bourbon drink that was great. We were not very hungry so the four of us ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, blue cheese burger with bacon and an order of fries. I really liked the spicy chicken sandwich, just enough heat to not distract from the chicken. The Burger was your standard fare for burgers, nothing stood out but was good. The fries were your typical fries. For the price, I was expecting something more elevated. It was NOT bad, just good. The waitress was fantastic and did a great job. We went on a Sunday night and it was not crowded.

There's a local mystery at 5000 Roberts Lake Rd. in Rohnert Park. It's a piece of prime real estate with a puzzling history of tenant instability. The location is incredible: a beautiful patio at the edge of a pond, situated a mile from one of the largest and newest casinos in California, in a town plagued by big box stores and chain restaurants. Its latest occupant: The Waterhawk Lake Club. I've visited a couple of times now, so a review is due. It's every bit as welcoming as its predecessors, but has a special something that I hope translates to tenure. The food is quite good, if standard in terms of offering (a burger, a few salads, etc.). On my first visit I got the fried chicken sandwich and sprang for the "spicy" version - though adding to the address mystery is the $2 upcharge for... actually, I am not sure... a tablespoon of sauce? My second visit brought me the Waterhawk Burger and it didn't disappoint. My only qualm, it was a touch dry. Could have used more of the pesto-aioli (cause that was delish!). I'm still waiting for the 5-star experience at Roberts Lake, but Waterhawk is good enough to stay. I say, either elevate the menu or lower the prices to hit the sweet spot. OH - But the Christmas decorations. INCREDIBLE!

Gorgeous location, and beautifully decorated for Christmas! My husband and I are locals, and have been meaning to check out Waterhawk Lake Club after trying a few of their cocktails at a local bartending competition over the summer. The food was good! I ordered a kale salad with salmon, which sounds unexciting, but was really delicious. My husband ordered a fried chicken sandwich that was great as well. We'll definitely come back! Only thing to take into consideration was that the indoors area was a bit cold as they had all the doors open and didn't seem to be running heaters. We had to dine in our winter coats because it was too cold to take them off.

Wow!!! What a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of the lake! We were welcomed by all the awesome Christmas decor throughout the restaurant including the bathrooms! As expected, the service was great and the ladies took really good care of us. We ordered the brussel sprouts, the waterhawk burger and the bacon Brie burger. All were simply delicious! We also had a couple of drinks - the aperol spritz and the ranch have. Both were delicious although the ranch hand was a big too strong for me. Definitely a "must visit" when looking for a beautiful restaurant with wonderful customer service and great food!

Over the weekend, my family and I caught up with our friends for lunch. We were welcomed by a friendly hostess. Since it was a warm day and we had two little ones with us, we chose to sit indoors to keep them cool. However, there was no AC or overhead fans inside, so it ended up being pretty warm and uncomfortable. We kicked things off with the loaded fries, and wow, that calabrian chili packs a punch! We also tried the Roasted Summer Peppers, which were really nice and refreshing. For drinks, we ordered a round of cocktails and beer, and both cocktails were pretty good. For our main courses, we got the Waterhawk Burger, Soft Shell Crab BLT, and the Fried Chicken. Everything was fine. I wish there was more variety other than burgers and sandwiches and salads. I'd give the place 5 stars for its gorgeous decor and the fantastic job they did with the outdoor area. As for the food, I'd rate it just 3 stars--nothing too special.

We gathered everyone together and checked out Waterhawk Lake Club's Christmas experience last night. First impression upon walking, in very impressive. They did a real good job decorating the restaurant for the holiday. I hadn't been to the site since Bear Republic had closed a couple years back. They did a good job renovating the place. I don't remember the old place having so many nooks and crannies that were filled with tables and seats. Service was good throughout. The holiday drinks were festive (they also had a very nice local beer list). The food was hit and miss (mostly a hit). We started with appetizers...ordering some Brussel sprouts, hot cheese fries and the spinach dip. All were good. For dinner, most ordered the burger. We also had a salmon order and I ordered the short ribs over polenta. The burgers were good according to those that ordered them. My one daughter who ordered the salmon enjoyed it. I should have checked some of the reviews on the short rib polenta. It was not good. That's just a huge swing and a miss. I'm not even sure that was polenta. It had no flavor and the texture seemed off. Others wanted to try the polenta and everyone agreed it wasn't good (or what they were used to). The beef that sat atop was so-so. So if you're considering this as an option, you might want to look elsewhere on the menu. Overall the experience was nice. It served it's purpose of going out to a festive, fun meal. One downside, we were looking for special places to take photos, like Brewster's has, but I couldn't find a specific area. That was a shame. We found some trees with decorations around that were near empty tables. Those tables were later filled, so they couldn't be used for photo ops again (or it would have been extremely awkward). Looking forward to visiting after the holiday season to get the normal experience.

WaterHawk Lake Club in Rohnert Park is such a beautiful and relaxing spot. Whether you're there for a family day, a quiet walk, or just to unwind by the water, the atmosphere is peaceful and well-maintained. The surroundings are clean, the lake area is scenic, and it's a great place to escape the busier parts of town. My friends and I had ordered burgers and fries and beussels sprouts which all tasted amazing! Their Christmas decor was up and looked fantastic! We sat outdoor with the lake view and it was very nice and relaxing. The staff and management do a great job keeping the area inviting and safe. It feels like a community space where people can enjoy nature, catch up with friends, or simply get some fresh air. If you're looking for a calm, enjoyable outdoor spot in Rohnert Park, WaterHawk Lake Club is a great choice. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a quiet and refreshing environment!

Came here for lunch today. I ordered their nonalcoholic drink eaglet as well as the burger from the menu. The burger was absolutely amazing. I honestly have to say I think it's one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I normally never finish burgers, but I was able to basically devour this one. The menu is a little small. I will say there aren't that many things to choose from but if you want something like a burger or chicken sandwich, I think the spot is good for you. The eaglet was bitter and it was not my favorite. I was expecting more of a fresh kind of sweet drink. But if you're into kind of bitter drinks, I think this is a good drink for you. The lemonade was really good. I like that they provide you fresh water that has ice in it. The view is honestly very beautiful. The tables all have a little umbrella on them if you're sitting outside and you can't really feel the heat, which is nice on a hot day like today. Service was really good. Our waiter was very attentive and was able to bring us ranch when we asked for it and would constantly check in on us. I think it's a cool spot to eat at, likely be back.

They couldn't have picked a better spot! Waterhawk near the water. I didn't realize till I pulled up that it was the old bear republic place :o. My buddy made a reservation ahead of time. Being a new place we thought it was safe to do it, but they got A-LOT of seating, and being a new place it was packed with folks wanting to see what it's all about. We sat at a long table outside. I was thinking the mix drink menu , looked amazingly tasty , but I was craving a good beer at the moment. My buddy got the fried chicken sandwich and I got the soft shell crab BLT . It was tasty. Both were served with fries and ketchup. Super friendly staff, and despite the hectic rally of customers wanting to try their food, they were on point and prepared to handle a mob of people. I would be in crazy mode, oof, but they're clearly pro's in the business . Such a great location - near the water. I saw they had a stage outside, so I'm expecting some bands to play in the future . I definitely want to try the cocktails and the other food on the next visit!

Went for a holiday get-together and it was my first time here since being a newer restaurant. We shared the burger, mushroom pizza and the kale salad with fried chicken. Three of us didn't like the cheese on the pizza, though one person really enjoyed it. Other than that, everything was amazing. Super friendly service and we loved the festive holiday atmosphere.

Food was mediocre, service slow and restaurant was cold. Was excited to try it but unfortunately was not impressed.

Long overdue! so great to have this location active again - and nobody better to do it than the folks who brought us Brewsters. Granted, we were lucky to visit during their soft opening- but you would never guess. Apparently they bright in some of their top talent from brewster so service was spot on. we tried a few drinks and food items and everything was on point. great to see an experienced restaurateur get it right out of the box! Welcome to the neighborhood - we will be back soon!

Took the family to dinner to check out the Christmas lights and enjoy a night out. I ordered the braised short ribs. Fyi- it was more like a 4oz piece of dry roast beef...very dry, chewy and small portion.$38 I asked waiter if I should try the friend chicken sando or the short ribs he highly recommended the short ribs...it should have had some flavor, & retained some moisture it lacked both. The polenta was bland with no flavor and very lumpy and clumpy. So over all very bummed on this choice. I shared it with the family so every one got a bite and agreed it was so dry!!!!! The Burger got a thumbs up from son, only complained that cheese was a big chunk of Brie, not melted. So he picked off all the brine. And he's the least picky eater in the family. Fried chicken sando ok from other son, room temp fries. Wife said salad bland with no veggies, just lettuce big pieces of lettuce she said very boring with no flavor(lite dressing) worst salad ever in Sonoma County ....ouch!!! Will go back for beers, but food lacking too much for my taste buds! Great beer selection!!!

We went to Waterhawk last night for our annual Miracle Pop-Up dinner with some friends. We normally go to Brewster's but thought we'd give this place a try since they're new and owned by the same people. First of all, the space is MASSIVE. If you need to host a large group, highly recommend checking this place out. Plenty of space and seating all over. We ordered a good mix of things. The food was pretty good. The menu is currently very similar to Brewsters with some minor tweaks (the fried chicken sandwich has different toppings for example). We had the artichoke dip and it was quite nice. However, I wish the menu would have mentioned there are red pepper flakes on it! Not everyone wants that. We also had the mac n cheese that was surprisingly really good. A bit salty with the "pork" but overall good. Curious what type of pork it was though. Menu just says "pork"... The drinks were good but seemed to lack the actual alcohol. We all had 3 drinks and it seemed like we were just drinking sugar. The miracle drinks are known for having a lot of liquor in them and ours seemed lacking. Lastly, the main reason for my rating was the service. First of all, let me say, our server was really nice. However, timing didn't seem to be a strong suite and it wasn't very busy at all. No one ever came by to collect our empty cups or finished plates until we started stacking everything up and moving it to the edge. We all had 2 of our empty cocktail glasses, plus the food was gone, and we sat there for awhile before someone came by. When it came to ordering our last drink, we almost had to chase down our server. We ordered as we passed by him to go to the photobooth. Anyways, I still think this will be a great spot. We can't wait to see what they do next year (we were able to hear a little sneak peek).

"The Waterhawk is stunning this time of year--fully decked out in holiday cheer with beautiful fire pits and a tremendous view of the lake. We were seated inside with a great outlook. Our waiter, Jacob, was very polite and took the time to ask about our preferences. A few things to note: it is very loud. It's a fantastic family spot, but I wouldn't recommend it for an intimate first date. Also, keep an eye on your drink orders; I asked for a dry Grey Goose martini and received a dirty one instead. The food, however, was a win. The Cobb salad was fresh and abundant. I had the chicken sandwich with honey-Sriracha sauce--the flavor was incredible, but it's a total mess to eat! I actually had to go to the restroom to wash the honey off my hands mid-meal. My advice? Skip the hands and use a knife and fork. Overall, a great seasonal spot!"

Great place for families! Specially little ones. Been here multiple times, and Staff is consistently kind and patient. There's a boat that kids can climb and get their wiggles out. Great vibes. Food is good, specifically the starters. Only issue during our last dining experience was that the kid's chicken tenders were hot on the outside and cold in the middle, and they don't have regular yellow mustard.

I really wanted to love this place! We came in to order some drinks and an appetizer with our kiddos. Great space, loved the open bar and the view of the lake is beautiful. We ordered their Samurai gin drink and the sun-kissed (their take on a spicy marg). Both drinks were delicious and fairly reasonably priced at $12. We ordered a lemonade for my toddler and it came in a small kids cup. It was delicious - obviously homemade. It went wrong with the food and figuring out the bill. We decided to split an order of the mussels. At $28, we were hoping for something pretty spectacular. We were disappointed. About 20 mussels in an extremely bland broth with an aioli drizzled over the top. Also the menu lists that it comes with grilled baguette but we were charged $4 for it separately and then an additional $4 for more when we asked. We asked the waitress about it and she was very accommodating and took off one of the orders but the menu should not list the grilled baguette as a part of the order if you're charged separately for it. Also, my kiddo's lemonade was $5- the price listed for the adult serving listed in the menu. Overall, I felt disappointed just because I had higher hopes. But there were some issues that we couldn't overlook.

Okay I went here because a friend who I work with told me her son works here, and that he had spent 3 weeks working on the Christmas decorations, and that it was just a magical experience for the holidays. I booked a dinner on Sunday with my family. I have to tell you that I believe my family was a little skeptical. They did it because I wanted to, and they could not argue with all the pictures we saw online of the incredible ambiance, and decorations for Christmas! We looked at the menu and we thought hmm that looks a little expensive and not a whole lot of choices. First off, we were concerned that they might not have a kids menu (they do, they have chicken strips/nuggets, a children's hamburger or a hot dog.) My granddaughter's got the chicken nuggets and they like them a lot. Second off my family was concerned that there were not a whole lot of choices on the menu and so they thought they weren't going to be very happy. So here was our experience: it is probably even more magical than I expected. I mean everything is decorated, even the bathrooms. We sat outside and they had the covered area by the lake, and there were overhead heaters that I was skeptical about providing enough warmth, turns out to be it almost got a little too warm. Our server, Ken, was great. He answered all our questions and was very friendly. I love the fact every server and busboy were all wearing ugly Christmas sweaters. I mean there's lights, outside and in, from the ceiling, there was a snow machine, Christmas music is playing, you just walk through the place and you can feel Christmas coming out your ears. I don't drink, nor does my family, so we didn't partake in any of the special drinks they have, but they had these amazing beverages all in these festive mugs and I'm assuming you get to keep the mug; they were so cute!! One of the things that I think was really neat and it made it so that my granddaughters absolutely loved the place, was they had this big fake boat that the kids could climb into with Santa on it. And Santa would dance from time to time. The girls loved it. They got in the boat and pretended they were driving. Also, the kids menus, on the back side have a place where they can write a letter to Santa. And then they had a special mailbox right there next to the Christmas boat for kids to mail their letters. I don't know if they're doing anything with that because they put their return address on it so that would be really special if they get a response. So now I have to say I would just have had a good time if the food was so so. Even though I would say it was a little on the pricey side, like $20 for a chicken sandwich or Burger, they were really good!! I got the fried chicken sandwich. It had a little bit of heat and I have to tell you, I have a gringo mouth and don't deal with spicy very well. But it was a honey Sriracha sauce and both my wife and I who normally don't care for spicy, lovedut. My stepdaughter got the burger and she said it was very good and it looked like it was a really big burger and very juicy. My son-in-law who does love spicy was able to ask them to bring him some hot sauce and he seemed very happy with whatever they brought him. I got fries as my side and my wife got the salad. She said the salad was good, not great, but good. But I really enjoyed the fries. They were crispy and very tasty. I ate every bite of my sandwich and truly enjoyed it. Probably had it been my choice. I think I would have sat inside. It's even more festive in there. We got there early at 4:45 and we're seated right away. When we got there, there were a lot of empty seats, but by the time we left, it was really packing up. Assuming this place keeps this up and does this annually, I can guarantee you this is going to be an annual destination for the holiday season! Everyone was so friendly. Oh and I have to add a couple extra things that they had. They had a photo booth where I think for $6 you can get photos taken which was fun. We didn't do it but I like the option. And then they had a fire pit with a bunch of comfy chairs around it and then they started playing Jim Carrey's, A Christmas Carol on a big screen there. You could have pulled up a chair by the fire pit and watched the movie. I looked around and everyone seemed to be having a really good time. So I don't know what this place is going to be like the rest of the year. But I enjoyed the food, so I will go back. But I can tell you for Christmas, this is a place you need to check out!

What went well? Well about the entire experience was fantastic from our server VIVIANA (hopefully got her name correct) who was very attentive to our table, a Live band that was awesome and ate some tasty hamburgers. We were visiting my son who lives locally with his wife and my adorable grandson who loved The Live Band outside where we sat; it was cold but they have many outdoor heaters so the weather wasn't an issue.

Was excited to finally try this place since I loved the area but could no longer return since Hana closed down. Usually for my dining experience, I go with my grandparents who are both mobility challenged with one requiring wheelchair usage and the other needing major assistance with either a walker or just having someone walk her. The moment we walked in, what I assume was the manager helped guide us to our table by blocking and guiding the way around other patrons leaving or entering. It was a kind service we have never received but definitely appreciated as it can be a hassle at times for us to maneuver. We were quickly seated and able to bask in the ambiance of the bright and airy space. Inside, even with the windows and doors open, was a good temperature that was neither too hot or too cold. Ordering was easy and we ended up getting the aperol spritz, the charred summer corn, and the eggplant caponata to start. For entrees, we mainly got the burgers and one fried chicken sandwich. When it came to service, it was something we could not complain about at all. However with the food, it was a different story. I understand that when we went, waterhawk was still in their soft opening phase which only means there is room for improvement. The aperol spritz was disgusting. It tasted extremely bitter and unbalanced which was disappointing to say the least as I enjoy drinking one on a warmer day. With the food, we ended up getting slammed with the appetizers and the entrees all at once which crowded the table and didn't leave us any time to enjoy each course. Maybe I'm a bit picky like my grandparents now but I felt the corn and the eggplant dishes did not need to be served ice cold and could benefit from being served warm or hot. The eggplant had nice flavor but the bread it came with was incredibly hard and tough and could have used a nice warm up in the oven. The corn was nothing to write home about but tasted like fresh corn. The burgers were also nothing great. You're better off going to jackson's for better taste and for the same price range. The fried chicken sandwich was also bland and lacking in flavor. To try to salvage dinner, I ordered two soft serves- one with cookie crumbles, and the other with olive oil and salt. Now I love a good soft serve and am a proud big back when it comes to it. I usually go out of my way to find a good soft serve like at Handline or at the Marin Cheese Co. The soft serve at waterhawk was equally disgusting and tasted almost like a custard from shake shack which isn't my thing. Again, the food and the drink were not our thing, but hopefully with time, this place improves and becomes a place that I can enjoy and return to with my family. Great service though which is incredibly important.

The location and ambiance is great. Always has been, but for some reason nothing stays here. Hopefully Waterhawk can succeed. The menu was a big limited. I wish there weee a few more main entree items that had meat. The burrata was tasty. Wish it had a little more of the fruit, but still quite tasty. The burger had good flavor. Could use a little more sauce though. Maybe also serve the fries with aioli instead of just ketchup. Service was fine, nothing to write home about.

I was so excited to check out Waterhawk Lake Club located right on Robert's Lake in Rohnert Park! This is a great spot to enjoy sunshine, lake views and company with friends or family in a relaxing atmosphere. They have a large amount of picnic table seating with umbrellas available near the lake in addition to tables located inside. The food menu includes a couple of different starters, salads, sandos and flatbreads. My friend and I tried the burrata with stone fruit, pistachios, balsamic and toasted bread. This was delicious and perfect for a summertime day! We also tried the roasted mushroom flatbread with confit garlic, teleme cheese and arugula. This was so good and they really packed it with a ton of mushrooms and the mix of garlic and teleme cheese was so creamy. For the drink menu they have house cocktails, beer, cider, kombucha, wine and non-alcoholic options. I ordered a house cocktail called the flotation device with vodka, Dolin blanc, strawberry and cucumber. This was very refreshing! They also had live music on a Friday evening, which was a great addition to the already wonderful atmosphere. The service was very attentive throughout our experience. I can't wait to come back and try more on the menu and to enjoy the experience!

My partner booked this restaurant for my birthday on November 26 as we had just seen an ad for it on Facebook! We were so excited as we frequent Brewsters in Petaluma especially around this time. Immediately upon entering we were impressed as to how beautifully decorated this place was! We got seated inside near the bar area and got drinks promptly, my partner thought the drinks were very good (I just had a diet cola). We ordered the artichoke dip to start: the tortilla chips were very fresh and the artichoke dip was not bad. It tasted more like a pizza than artichoke dip but overall it was not bad at all. I proceeded to order the mushroom pizza and my partner got the Warhawk burger. The mushroom pizza was not very good, it mostly just tasted burnt and needed seasoning or even just salt (the cheese on the pizza didn't have much flavor).My partner said the Warhawk burger had a bit too much going on and was also not his favorite but the fries were very good. We both give the food maybe a 2/5 and the drinks a 4/5. We only ate a little bit of the food and took the rest home but ultimately did not end up even eating the leftovers. I would reccomend to come here just for appetizers,drinks and of course to appreciate the decoration. If you are looking for the whole package Brewsters is a must. Our Waiter was nice, a pretty average experience.

Visited here this weekend and I know it is a new spot but Brewster's (owner's) should know what they're doing.... Ordered drinks and asked for light aperol; didn't get that, not enough umbrellas for a hot day out and we couldn't be moved. Food: burrata with fruit was the best thing- Crab BLT was weird, 2 thin fried pieces on a brioche bun with not much flavor, this should have been on regular bread. Burger was served pink, which is fine but the entire thing was COLD. Food came out so quick like fast food service. Plain almost burnt fries, no seasoning, no flavor or anything. No other sauces, no condiments on the table. Some tips: - order Jack Daniel's at the bar, for a full bar it was limited - Give some excitement to the fries! They were plain and almost burnt We hope to be back once they get a bigger menu and work out the new spot.

Had a lovely Saturday lunch with a friend at this location. We sat outside with view of indoor Christmas decor and lake outside. Not crowded. Kid and animal friendly. We split Cobb salad and fried chicken sandwich. Very tasty and big portions. Pretty regular prices

This place definitely has potential. The ambiance is fantastic, and the drinks were solid. Unfortunately, the food fell flat--everything was pretty bland, especially given the prices. With such a small menu, I expected the dishes to be a lot better. Service was friendly but slower than it should've been, especially since the restaurant wasn't very busy.

Tried this place for the first time after it took over the old Bear Republic Brewery. We came on opening day and surprisingly it was not as crowded as we thought. We tried a bunch of dishes and the babagonoush being the top dish. Staff was friendly and ambiance was just amazing. Would love to come back to try other food and drinks.

They did a wonderful job decorating the restaurant, they have comfortable seating in main dining area and picnic tables outdoors, very busy place. I felt bad for the bartenders because they were also taken orders in dining room and bartending. Maybe short staffed that night. The menu is different from their sister restaurant Brewsters beer garden, I beg you please to bring that awesome chicken sandwich to here! My boyfriend had spicy chicken sandwich (super spicy) and I had pork belly sandwich which was delicious and cooked perfectly, only complaint was the fat I had to take off, I know some folks enjoy it, I don't so no biggie! the bartender was so nice and friendly but it got crazy busy for them, so had to wait 15 mins for them to grab our check . We will be back for sure and hopefully they go all out for Xmas decorations. Oh and FYI, we are happy you have EV chargers, unfortunately two lazy thoughtless regular cars hogged both spots, so could not charge our car, maybe a suggestion is to put up signage and paint the parking spots so people will not park there. Great job on your new restaurant adventure.

To begin with, I support new businesses. Hopefully they take the information that is put out by reviewers to help refine their business. This site is one of my very favorite in Sonoma County. It is easily accessed by the freeway in Rohnert Park. It is next to a wonderful lake with all types of birds and they have restructured a fantastic deck. There have been multiple restaurants at this site in the past and I enjoyed going to them each time whether or not their food was amazing. That said, I would like to give a solid review of our experience inside with the food and staff. It was very busy when we arrived for our reservation. The front desk was pleasant, but didn't necessarily have control of the very long line that had formed. Others without reservations were seated before we were taken to a table. Once we were seated, we were given menus, and the server was very gregarious and desired an order immediately. We ordered our drinks because our friends were five minutes behind us. Once our friends arrived, the server returned and wanted to know if we were ready to order. We were on site for a celebration and still chatting, not ready to order. He came past the table several more times to ascertain if we were ready. The restaurant is incredibly loud, even with the doors open to the patio. First, there was really loud live music and then it turned to more house style music which I found odd for dinner vibe. Finally we agreed on ordering two starters. We ordered the charred summer corn succotash and the ricotta crostini. Drinks arrived, and we all enjoyed our options. When the starters arrived, we were all a bit surprised. The charred corn was a single cob of corn split in for an art fully placed on the plate surrounded by more corn and a little bit of "jus". It tasted like corn. Nothing about it was special and I would not recognize it as succotash. The crostini bread was over toasted and quite hard like a crouton. The bright part was the ricotta as it had some flavor as the tomato jam had a bit of heat. In both cases, the idea of ratios of ingredients became apparent and flowed through our entire experience. Our friends ordered the little gem salad with added chicken and thenFried chicken Sando. The fried chicken was very well received. The little gem salad also suffered pretty strongly from weird ratios of items. Like it had one or two pieces of apple in a full salad of romaine. My husband and I ordered the squash salad and their signature burger. My husband enjoyed the burger and felt that it was juicy and well cooked. We also both liked the fries. On the other hand, my salad was confusing. When it arrived, I was startled to see that the base of the salad was basically a can of chickpeas. On top there were three small blobs of ricotta, 4 ribbons of fresh squash in curls and 4 to 5 pieces of roasted squash. The ratios made no sense. The herb dressing was basically 5 to 10 leaves of different herbs hit with some lemon juice and a little olive oil oil. Frankly, it had very little taste, and I ended up using the ricotta and tomato jam from the appetizer to create some sort of dressing since it was so bland. In my view, they should've taken all of those darn chickpeas and soaked them in the lemon juice, olive oil and herbs to give the chickpeas flavor as they were quite literally out of the can bland. The chicken on top was fine and well cooked. The weirdest thing while we were there was that the table next to us had two different seatings of couples who came and sat down, waited 10 to 15 minutes without being served and then simply left. It seems like the front of house needs some work since our server stopped checking in with us after we finally ordered. Overall, I love this location and I hope that the new owners take to heart what people tell them so that they can refine it and grow their very limited menu. The food was OK but no more.

The ambiance was cool, the service staff was nice, the drinks we had were pretty good, but the food was pretty disappointing. I might go back for drinks and to hang out but would not eat here again.

Got here a bit earlier than my reservation time and was seated right away. The host/hostess was nice. While walking to our table we were in aw by how nice it was inside! The chairs are super comfy and cushioned. We were given water once we sat down and a water jug to keep at the table to fill up our own cups. We ordered the loaded fries and OMG! I LOVED THEM! I'm still thinking about them! Our cocktails were yummy, I got the lakecation and it was strong but good! I got the waterhawk burger and it was so good and perfectly cooked! My dad got the mushroom flatbread which was also soo yummy! My boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich and he loved it and my mom got the crab BLT which our waiter told us that sells out quick by the end of the night (tbh my mom wasn't a huge fan of it tho) Anthony was our server and was super nice and made sure to check on us and made sure we had everything we needed! Highly recommend coming here and I know we will all be coming back here! It's nice to have something different in RP!

Food... YES. Service.. YES.. Vibe and overall fun.. YES. Service is extremely on point. You can tell people enjoy where they work. Every waitress, every waiter, every busser.. they treated every patron with attention, and they are sooooo good at what they do. Our waitress Mikayla (sorry babe if I misspelled it).. she was AMAZING. She was attentive, sweet and so funny! We saw the co-owner running around ACTIVELY involved. Love love love this place!

Such an amazing date night spot! They have warm cozy fires and live music some nights. Drinks were reasonably priced and ambiance was spectacular. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

First visit to the restaurant. Reserved a table for 4 to celebrate daughters birthday. Place was very busy and we were seated in the back like sardines. Surrounded by long tables and big groups, couldn't hear ourselves think nevermind each other. Order appetizers brussle sprouts and spinich dip. Brussels were swimming in grease, dip was pretty tasteless apart from garlic. Ordered 3 main dishes, only two arrived, 3rd one arrived after everyone had eaten. Waitress was pretty inefficient and sat on the end of our table twice talking to the table beside us. We were not impressed, won't be returning. Seems like a money gimmick, don't waste your money.

This is a great location - I have been coming here for years ( latitudes / Bear Republic). So glad Brewster's ownership expanded here. There is so much seating both inside and outside and being right on Roberts Lake is beautiful, relaxing ( a very relaxing experience. We went on a Saturday afternoon 12:30 (with reservations) and sat outside. There is a hostess at the door who greets you and coordinates you getting seated. The wait staff brings menus right away and asks if you want water for the table. Order was taken as soon as we were ready and food arrived shortly. We ordered the hamburger, chicken sandwich and caramelized onion flatbread. You can order the hamburger either well done or pink in the middle, served with fries. Chicken sandwich is fried topped with all the fixings and andouille aioli, served with fries. Caramelized onions, creme fraiche and pancetta flatbread ( loved it), so flavorful. I would have liked to see a couple more meat choice appetizers ( sliders or maybe nachos). Several of the menu items come with fries, so ordering loaded fries on top of getting fries with your lunch wasn't appealing to us. Also, dessert is limited to soft serve ice cream with topping options. I do like dessert when I dine out so maybe one more option or even offer a cookie or brownie a la mode. I was excited to see a band all set up when we arrived, but they never started playing and we were there an hour. They did a brief warm up song but that was it. So, not sure the timing of live music over the weekend. All and all a great experience and beautiful re-model. I'll be back.
