This Sonoma County Lakeside Property Will Live as a Brewery Again | Eater SF

"A team from a local beer garden is converting the defunct brewery space in Rohnert Park into a lakeside restaurant next to Roberts Lake; an Instagram post on Sunday, July 13 showcased the huge space that has sat vacant for two years. Co-owner Mike Goebel told Sonoma Magazine, "the vibe will be similar, though, with lots of outdoor seating and approachable food." In April 2025 the Press Democrat reported the beer-garden operator had taken the lease; the prior brewery location shut down after Drake’s Brewing Co. acquired the business and moved operations to San Leandro. A final opening date is still TBD." - Paolo Bicchieri

Location by the lake is excellent, although could use a bit more shade. Our server, Anthony, was a pro. Very attentive and polite, and clearly wanted to genuinely make sure we were enjoying our time. While the food isn’t perfect (a touch more seasoning here and there), it’s still plenty delicious. This is a perfect place to grab a nice drink and have some good food along with it. We’ll be back!

Google
Really great new restaurant and bar. It feels like a vacation on the lake. Creative and delicious cocktails for $12. Try the Lakation! Service a bit uneven but the ambiance with music more than makes up for it. Food was good especially the burrata with peaches.

Google
Made reservations so got seating right away. Fortunately, got the side of the shaded table. Others who got seated after us, near us was too sunny so they moved. They had live music. The ducks were quacking ever so cutely. Food was good. Loaded fries were good, spicy. Server was nice. Place was busy outdoors, no one sat inside even it’s pretty nice indoors too. Parking took a lil while but ppl come and go so just have to wait. Wish there were more dessert options.

Google
Great place! The place is perfect for a hang out with friends and family! My friend and I both ordered the Waterhawk burger and the flavor was amazing! We sat outside by the lake which was nice and relaxing! I will say though, I wish there were more options on the menu. I want to believe because this location JUST opened, this is just their “starter” menu and eventually there will be more options! Other then that, this is still a great place to come and hang out, similar vibe as their sister location (Brewsters)

Google
Service was great, food was good! Good prices for delicious cocktails. Only thing was wish they had more of a variety of options

Google
Excellent new restaurant from the Brewster’s team. The menu is both familiar and offers some new flavors. The space is beautiful and the service is top-notch. The soft shell crab BLT was delightful.

Google
We almost didn’t visit due to reviews. It was wonderful! They must have taken these reviews into consideration, the burger was great. It was definitely medium, on the pink option. The pork dish was great too! The cocktails sounded very different but were great as well, just trust your gut on your go to main ingredients. I wish I got our server’s name very sweet, polite & checked in just the right amount.

Google
The atmosphere and the place overall is very beautiful and nice, also dog friendly which I loved. The service was a little odd, quiet people and not super friendly. Each of us ordered a drink and after tasting we decided not to order any food.. the presentation is nice but the taste is not :(

Yelp
I was so excited to check out Waterhawk Lake Club located right on Robert's Lake in Rohnert Park! This is a great spot to enjoy sunshine, lake views and company with friends or family in a relaxing atmosphere. They have a large amount of picnic table seating with umbrellas available near the lake in addition to tables located inside. The food menu includes a couple of different starters, salads, sandos and flatbreads. My friend and I tried the burrata with stone fruit, pistachios, balsamic and toasted bread. This was delicious and perfect for a summertime day! We also tried the roasted mushroom flatbread with confit garlic, teleme cheese and arugula. This was so good and they really packed it with a ton of mushrooms and the mix of garlic and teleme cheese was so creamy. For the drink menu they have house cocktails, beer, cider, kombucha, wine and non-alcoholic options. I ordered a house cocktail called the flotation device with vodka, Dolin blanc, strawberry and cucumber. This was very refreshing! They also had live music on a Friday evening, which was a great addition to the already wonderful atmosphere. The service was very attentive throughout our experience. I can't wait to come back and try more on the menu and to enjoy the experience!

Yelp
This place has potential but it's a no from me dawg. Im gonna be mean and talk a lil trash on the hostesses crazy makeup job lol, she had a full clown makeup like TikTok tutorial gone all wrong.... This kinda set the tone for me for the whole experience. To be fair I am a makeup artist but this really caught me off-guard. Anyways we liked our drinks ok and the view and ambiance is nice. The place has a cool aesthetic for sure but the food was not that satisfying. To start we got the baba ganoush which was bland and served with a half of a round bun cut into 3 pieces. I really hate when places serve apps with uneven amounts of stuff that is meant to be shared.Whyyyyy? The bread is not cut in a manner to stack the mushrooms that it comes with on it. The eating mechanics for this app do not make sense.... Whos ideas are these? Lol Then I got a caesar salad with salmon that was bland, and my bf got a burger and loaded fries. The waitress said you can only order the burger temp pink or no pink lol.... Idk that annoyed us both .The loaded fries come in a bowl with all the stuff on top, they were sweating from being in a bowl and so they were soggy. Why are they serving the fries like that?! All that being said I would not rec this spot, it's expensive and lacking..... please add more options to the menu, get some mezcal at the bar and fix the appetizers? I know this spot opened recently so maybe Ill try again once they work some kinks out. Sorry for such a scathing review!

Yelp
To begin with, I support new businesses. Hopefully they take the information that is put out by reviewers to help refine their business. This site is one of my very favorite in Sonoma County. It is easily accessed by the freeway in Rohnert Park. It is next to a wonderful lake with all types of birds and they have restructured a fantastic deck. There have been multiple restaurants at this site in the past and I enjoyed going to them each time whether or not their food was amazing. That said, I would like to give a solid review of our experience inside with the food and staff. It was very busy when we arrived for our reservation. The front desk was pleasant, but didn't necessarily have control of the very long line that had formed. Others without reservations were seated before we were taken to a table. Once we were seated, we were given menus, and the server was very gregarious and desired an order immediately. We ordered our drinks because our friends were five minutes behind us. Once our friends arrived, the server returned and wanted to know if we were ready to order. We were on site for a celebration and still chatting, not ready to order. He came past the table several more times to ascertain if we were ready. The restaurant is incredibly loud, even with the doors open to the patio. First, there was really loud live music and then it turned to more house style music which I found odd for dinner vibe. Finally we agreed on ordering two starters. We ordered the charred summer corn succotash and the ricotta crostini. Drinks arrived, and we all enjoyed our options. When the starters arrived, we were all a bit surprised. The charred corn was a single cob of corn split in for an art fully placed on the plate surrounded by more corn and a little bit of "jus". It tasted like corn. Nothing about it was special and I would not recognize it as succotash. The crostini bread was over toasted and quite hard like a crouton. The bright part was the ricotta as it had some flavor as the tomato jam had a bit of heat. In both cases, the idea of ratios of ingredients became apparent and flowed through our entire experience. Our friends ordered the little gem salad with added chicken and thenFried chicken Sando. The fried chicken was very well received. The little gem salad also suffered pretty strongly from weird ratios of items. Like it had one or two pieces of apple in a full salad of romaine. My husband and I ordered the squash salad and their signature burger. My husband enjoyed the burger and felt that it was juicy and well cooked. We also both liked the fries. On the other hand, my salad was confusing. When it arrived, I was startled to see that the base of the salad was basically a can of chickpeas. On top there were three small blobs of ricotta, 4 ribbons of fresh squash in curls and 4 to 5 pieces of roasted squash. The ratios made no sense. The herb dressing was basically 5 to 10 leaves of different herbs hit with some lemon juice and a little olive oil oil. Frankly, it had very little taste, and I ended up using the ricotta and tomato jam from the appetizer to create some sort of dressing since it was so bland. In my view, they should've taken all of those darn chickpeas and soaked them in the lemon juice, olive oil and herbs to give the chickpeas flavor as they were quite literally out of the can bland. The chicken on top was fine and well cooked. The weirdest thing while we were there was that the table next to us had two different seatings of couples who came and sat down, waited 10 to 15 minutes without being served and then simply left. It seems like the front of house needs some work since our server stopped checking in with us after we finally ordered. Overall, I love this location and I hope that the new owners take to heart what people tell them so that they can refine it and grow their very limited menu. The food was OK but no more.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today. I ordered their nonalcoholic drink eaglet as well as the burger from the menu. The burger was absolutely amazing. I honestly have to say I think it's one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I normally never finish burgers, but I was able to basically devour this one. The menu is a little small. I will say there aren't that many things to choose from but if you want something like a burger or chicken sandwich, I think the spot is good for you. The eaglet was bitter and it was not my favorite. I was expecting more of a fresh kind of sweet drink. But if you're into kind of bitter drinks, I think this is a good drink for you. The lemonade was really good. I like that they provide you fresh water that has ice in it. The view is honestly very beautiful. The tables all have a little umbrella on them if you're sitting outside and you can't really feel the heat, which is nice on a hot day like today. Service was really good. Our waiter was very attentive and was able to bring us ranch when we asked for it and would constantly check in on us. I think it's a cool spot to eat at, likely be back.

Yelp
They couldn't have picked a better spot! Waterhawk near the water. I didn't realize till I pulled up that it was the old bear republic place :o. My buddy made a reservation ahead of time. Being a new place we thought it was safe to do it, but they got A-LOT of seating, and being a new place it was packed with folks wanting to see what it's all about. We sat at a long table outside. I was thinking the mix drink menu , looked amazingly tasty , but I was craving a good beer at the moment. My buddy got the fried chicken sandwich and I got the soft shell crab BLT . It was tasty. Both were served with fries and ketchup. Super friendly staff, and despite the hectic rally of customers wanting to try their food, they were on point and prepared to handle a mob of people. I would be in crazy mode, oof, but they're clearly pro's in the business . Such a great location - near the water. I saw they had a stage outside, so I'm expecting some bands to play in the future . I definitely want to try the cocktails and the other food on the next visit!

Yelp
Got here a bit earlier than my reservation time and was seated right away. The host/hostess was nice. While walking to our table we were in aw by how nice it was inside! The chairs are super comfy and cushioned. We were given water once we sat down and a water jug to keep at the table to fill up our own cups. We ordered the loaded fries and OMG! I LOVED THEM! I'm still thinking about them! Our cocktails were yummy, I got the lakecation and it was strong but good! I got the waterhawk burger and it was so good and perfectly cooked! My dad got the mushroom flatbread which was also soo yummy! My boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich and he loved it and my mom got the crab BLT which our waiter told us that sells out quick by the end of the night (tbh my mom wasn't a huge fan of it tho) Anthony was our server and was super nice and made sure to check on us and made sure we had everything we needed! Highly recommend coming here and I know we will all be coming back here! It's nice to have something different in RP!

Yelp
Long overdue! so great to have this location active again - and nobody better to do it than the folks who brought us Brewsters. Granted, we were lucky to visit during their soft opening- but you would never guess. Apparently they bright in some of their top talent from brewster so service was spot on. we tried a few drinks and food items and everything was on point. great to see an experienced restaurateur get it right out of the box! Welcome to the neighborhood - we will be back soon!

Yelp
Loaded fries were sooo good they were very spicy so if you don't like maybe ask for the chili oil to come on the side. The kale salad according to my friend was super good. I can't eat kale though but I friend loved it. We shared the burrata salad and it was very delicious. Neither of us drinks alcohol but the mocktails were very refreshing and the view was rely nice too.

Yelp
Four of us had lunch at Waterhawk on a perfect summer day. We all really loved how they transformed the interior space and think it'll be jam packed come colder weather. The outside patio areas are large and spacious and on Saturday they had live music. We split a couple appetizers (corn bites and grilled bread with eggplant. Both were pretty good. My friends and wife all tried different cocktails and liked them all. The servers were really accommodating and our orders came out quickly. Two of us had the burgers which were excellent. We also had the little gem and kale salad, both with fried chicken added. Each were given a thumbs up. We'll definitely go back and try their other offerings

Yelp
Visited here this weekend and I know it is a new spot but Brewster's (owner's) should know what they're doing.... Ordered drinks and asked for light aperol; didn't get that, not enough umbrellas for a hot day out and we couldn't be moved. Food: burrata with fruit was the best thing- Crab BLT was weird, 2 thin fried pieces on a brioche bun with not much flavor, this should have been on regular bread. Burger was served pink, which is fine but the entire thing was COLD. Food came out so quick like fast food service. Plain almost burnt fries, no seasoning, no flavor or anything. No other sauces, no condiments on the table. Some tips: - order Jack Daniel's at the bar, for a full bar it was limited - Give some excitement to the fries! They were plain and almost burnt We hope to be back once they get a bigger menu and work out the new spot.

Yelp
Went for lunch and sat on the outdoor tables. The area is nice with the small lake next to us. It wasn't busy so service and food was fast. The soft shell crab burger was good, it came with two fried soft shell crabs but it could have used a little more seasoning in the batter. The waterhawk burger was cooked great and flavor was good for a standard burger. The loaded fries were the best of the three. The fondue and Calabrian chilis were the perfect toppings to put it over the top.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time after it took over the old Bear Republic Brewery. We came on opening day and surprisingly it was not as crowded as we thought. We tried a bunch of dishes and the babagonoush being the top dish. Staff was friendly and ambiance was just amazing. Would love to come back to try other food and drinks.

Yelp
Ambiance is great - huge space and never a wait. Drinks are also a plus. Food is not bad, nothing amazing. Definitely for group outings with drinks and light bites

Yelp
Wanted to try this new place so stopped in before the Tower of Power concert at Sonoma State. With it being a Friday night I didn't time it right. I made a reservation and thought we'd have enough time but ended having to eat and run. The drinks and food were good. See pics of food. The only pic I didn't get was the Caramelized Onion Flatbread (my boyfriend said it was great). The outdoor seating was great with a lot of tables. Some of the tables are family style and was cool when a friend I hadn't seen in months was seated next to us. We got a quick 'hi' before we had to leave. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be back when we can spend more time enjoying the drinks & food.

Yelp
What a great new place to go! I've been here three times already. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and I mean it, every time! The location is so easy, right off the freeway and tons of parking. I took my dog with me two of the three times. I had the burger the first time I went and had a side salad, not only was the burger cooked perfectly but the side salad was not an afterthought, I could have ordered that alone and been happy. I don't know who they get their brioche buns from but they are never stale and taste buttery and soft and so decadent. The second time I went everything was great but the French fries were cold and not seasoned, and could have been cooked a bit longer they were not golden. And today was my third time and it again didn't disappoint, I had the Cobb salad and a glass of wine, service is fast and efficient, my salad was perfect and I do mean that. The ambience is relaxed and family friendly hence I could also bring my dog. All in all this is a new place so I'm sure they are working out the kinks but if this is how they are new I can only imagine how great they will be in a few months.

Yelp
The patio is huge, dog friendly, and boasts a gorgeous view of the lake. The staff even brought dog water without us asking. Appetizers were amazing. Baba ganoush was absolute fire. Crostini with the house made ricotta and tomato jam was perfection. The soft shell crab BLT was one of the most unique versions I have ever had. Crab was fried with small whole pieces of crab beautifully done with a light batter. The bacon was thick and not overly crispy. The caramalized onion flatbread was cheese heavy and did not disappoint. The crust was a bit doughy, although while I prefer a crispier dough, my wife liked it on the doughier side. Overall it was an excellent dish. The Balley Ford Creamery Carmel vanilla ice cream with optional toppings was to die for. We chose olive oil and salt. Amazing. We ended up getting another order with the cacao nibs. My only criticisms are the salad with the lemon vinaigrette was overly salty. The cocktails were on the sweet side but not intolerably so. The service was very prompt, but the main courses came immediately after the appetizers, making the experience feel a bit rushed. Overall, this is a beautiful venue and I love what they have done with the space. The food that we tried was very well executed, and the rest of the menu was very creative and intriguing. I wanted to try one of everything. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for lunch one afternoon shortly after their opening and we had a blast. The vibe is very relaxing as you are right on the lake. Even in one of the hotter weekends this year, the breeze made it feel 10° cooler and they have plenty of shade per table. The beer selection is decent, not a huge variety but something for everyone. The cocktails look delicious, but I didn't partake. The food was excellent and generously portioned. We did the loaded fries and onion flatbread. Had a little SNAFU with the flatbread but the server took care of it pronto and with zero issues. Out of the two meals, I liked the flatbread the best. Sweet grilled onion, bacon, perfectly cooked with just a bit of char. I'm sure we will see them again.

Yelp
Went for my sons 5th bday! On a Monday had a good crowd and great service! Delicious BLT soft shell crab so so so good!

Yelp
Tried this new spot that opened. I recommend to get reservations as they did not take walk in's till a certain time. The cider was great! It's 11% LOL. The hamburger had great flavor and cooked to perfection! I added ranch to the chicken sandwich and the chicken was tender and not dry. Outside you get the view of the lake. I was sat inside and it was very tropical themed.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to our visit at this new restaurant, the Waterhawk Lake Club. Learned from our waitress that the name was chosen because the owner is into birds and noted that there were osprey, also known as waterhawks, in the mornings overlooking Roberts Lake looking for fish to prey upon. The name made a lot more sense to us after we heard that story. The interior is minimalistic, yet inviting, with an outdoor vibe. The outside area has bench seating with umbrellas overlooking Roberts Lake. We ended up sitting indoors as the bench seating looked hard and uncomfortable with no back support, and it was pretty warm outside. I might bring a cushion next time for myself if we want to sit outside. We sat indoors with comfortable seats facing the lake and it was very nice. Our waitress came to assist us right away and we had lots of questions, which she was happy to answer. I guess the beef for the hamburger is locally sourced and butchered and the meat then brought to the restaurant for the making of patties for the burgers, which are flame charbroiled. The burgers were cooked as requested, and were very juicy. The bun was sufficient, but because the burgers were so juicy, they were slightly falling apart. The burger was good sized (maybe 1/3# lb?) had a garlic aïoli with shredded lettuce and a tomato and pickles. The burger came with a choice of either fries or a side salad and we chose crispy french fries. The french fries came with a side of ketchup. The french fries were delicious. I had the BLT, which was good, not excellent. I asked for crispy bacon. There was plenty of bacon and I was happy about that and cooked just the way I like. It was served with a bun with garlic aïoli, a piece of butter lettuce and one fairly small tomato slice, maybe 2" round. For $19 I thought the tomato slice could've been quite a bit larger, or at least two slices of tomato, to at least cover the size of the sandwich. I asked for one extra slice of tomato and another leaf of lettuce as there just wasn't enough lettuce on the sandwich. Again, I ordered the fries for my sandwich. I had one of the beers, which were appropriately priced and it was very good. Our waitress was excellent. We will be returning, especially if they enlarge their menu a bit. I think they could've had maybe one or two more sandwich options, such as a classic club sandwich on regular toasted sliced bread and maybe a stepped-up grilled cheese sandwich, and some more entrée sized salads. Next time I would like to try the corn appetizer, which looks amazing. I hope they get some seat pads maybe for the bench seating outside, which would make it a little more comfortable. Because the restaurant only opened two days ago, I thought there would be some glitches of some sort, but there was not, and we enjoyed our time there.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today. The ambiance was beautiful and the drinks were pretty good. Our food was beautiful but none of the burgers (3) we ordered were cooked properly (Med/well and med/rare - all were well done) and tasted burnt.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I ordered the Waterhawk burger. My aperol spritz was a 10 out of 10!! Our server took a while before taking our order..while we waited..I did take the time to take in the scenery. It was stunning. The weather was perfect so it made it that much more enjoyable. We are definitely coming back!

Yelp
For being open for just a few days the service and food execution was flawlessly impressive. On this first visit we had just a drink and the mushroom flatbread to share. The service is just exemplary - between being seated and our table service we interacted with a handful of employees and all were so nice and friendly. The outdoor area is both dog- and kid-friendly with a beautiful water view. We will be back many times to come to sample more of the menu and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

Beau D.

Yelp
Been twice and so far love this place! Menu is original and a breath of fresh air for the Santa Rosa/rohnert park area. Food was great to share with a group. Ambiance is pleasant and really enjoyed sitting outside on a warm day. Would love to see some tweaks to the beer menu and service was a little clunky but that's to be expected with new place as they work out the kinks. Overall very excited to have a new go-to spot!

Yelp
So nice to have the Roberts Lake patio view again. Overall good service and good food. Enjoyed the chicken sandwich. Nice brioche bun. Enjoyed the toasted corn. The side salad was just a bowl of lettuce, kinda plain. The Caesar with salmon was great. Good beer selection. I'm

Yelp
We got a reservation for opening day because we were SO excited to try this place!! It exceeded all our expectations. The entire place is amazing from the interior design to the beautiful lake view. Service was flawless, and the food and drinks were delicious and came out quickly. I was SO excited to see soft shell crab on the menu. Love the eggplant caponata too. I can't wait to see where this place goes. Definitely our new favorite local spot!

Yelp
Great food and service. The ambiance was fantastic and really loved the decor. Had the charred corn, squash salad and falafel burger. All were good. Great place to chill on a sunny afternoon.

Yelp
Walked into this place and was immediately impressed by how open and bright it is. We decided to sit outside by the water which was beautiful and so inviting. I asked for a lemonade (so yum)!! My friends ordered a couple of mojitos but weren't too impressed. (Way too much sugar) Our server was really cool and super gracious. She talked to the bartender and brought over 2 more mojitos. The outdoor vibe and music by the water was pretty chill. I will definitely be back. Check it out!

Yelp
Such awesome service and ambience ! Everyone is so nice. Second time here- loved the Sun Kissed cocktail (like a more flavorful mango margarita) and Burrata appetizer and loaded fries. Solid kids menu too (classics). Totally recommend.

Yelp
The food was 50/50, the entrees were mediocrer at best but the drinks and the starters stole the show. Especially the loaded fries that had a great spicy twist to it. The service was just ok? Not rude or anything but kept getting our order wrong. The best part of the whole place was definitely the ambiance and if you can you got to sit outside especially with the view of the beautiful lake

Jessica M.

Yelp
Ambiance: 10/10. Nothing not to like. Music, good. Seats by the water, great. Soft light, space heaters outside, pass through bar area, fire pit? So nice. Definitely perfect for date night, night out with the fam, or a celebration. Service: 10/10. Makayla was our server and she was so kind, helpful, and attentive. She gave her opinions and recommendations and was so great the whole evening. Our table was bussed throughout the meal, and everyone who came to our table was so kind. Food: 8/10. We got a few appetizers that weren't fantastic, but tasted good. Could have used a little more flavor (we got the corn pudding and the ricotta and crostini). The little gem salad was DELIGHTFUL! Buttermilk vinegarette may sound weird, but it was so light and fresh. My friend had the soft shell crab BLT and I had the caramelized onion flatbread. I tried the BLT and the tartar sauce stole the show for me. The onion flat dues was very creamy and full of flavor. Overall, definitely recommend going! Saw other people getting the burger and fries chicken sando. Those looked good. Their fries were PERFECT! Also, GET THE SWIRL ICE CREAM WITH COOKIE CRUMBLES! It was perfection!

Yelp
My wife and I tried Waterhawk Lake Club for the first time this last Saturday. Having been a fan of Brewster's in Petaluma, we were excited they opened Waterhawk in Rohnert Park. Very close to where we live, so very convenient to visit with ample parking. One of complaints about Brewster's is the lack of parking which makes it difficult for us to go there often, so this is a huge plus for us. We love the atmosphere and the overall venue, being right next to the lake. My only real complaint is their initial menu is a little lacking in food options. Hopefully they will expand it a little more. My wife had their cheeseburger and I had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious, however I wish the chicken sandwich was more like the one at Brewster's, which is my favorite. This one was delicious, however it lacked some flavor compared to the one at Brewster's. Overall the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We look forward to visiting often. We hope the best and hope they are successful.

Yelp
Disclaimer: This is written with the full knowledge that they've just opened and there are definitely bugs to work out. UPDATE: But on top of that, if they decide not to expand their currently uninteresting menu, I likely won't return. To me they are hoping that their nice view on the lake will be enough to get people to return. Went to Waterhawk yesterday for a double family birthday lunch. The Waterhawk folk have done a lovely job of really sprucing up the setting on the lake. Staff was upbeat and cheerful. Three of us ordered hamburgers well done: all three arrived pink in the middle and without the onions that were supposed to be on them: they ran out of onions. They forgot to put in my sister's order, but the manager stepped in and handled it perfectly. Given that this is a brand new restaurant they did fairly well. The only criticism I have is with their BLT: it was served on a brioche bun which threw everything out of balance, the bacon limp and not sufficient tomato or lettuce to make it feel like a real BLT. Hopefully they will switch to toasted bread for this. The mushroom and Teleme flatbread was delicious and baked perfectly. Looking forward to coming back in a couple months to check on their growth and progress.

Yelp
The food is just ok and the menu is very minimal. They messed up several items on our order, even brought out 3 BLTs when only 1 was ordered and tried to charge us for all 3. Took a very long time to fix order mistakes as well. The cocktails were fine but all in all, everything lacked flavor. Hope they get the kinks worked out

Yelp
The absolute worst menu for beer drinkers. This place is for wine snobs only. The food is horrible the menu is ridiculous. If you're a beer drinker go somewhere else this place sucks, beer is warm and the selection is terrible. The absolute worst place to have good food and beer. There are better places in RP like Old Caz. The only other menu like this one was Steele and Hops in SR and they have closed. If they keep this menu they will be closed soon. .

Yelp
I had no idea this place existed! What a pleasant surprise. I met up with my son's father to exchange my son. The fries were excellent as well as the soft serve with olive oil and sea salt. Carl the bartender was incredible and helpful with some random requests I had. Best of luck to you guys, the set up and ambiance is great. Will absolutely have to come back and try more things.

Yelp
We ate at Waterhawk Lake Club yesterday. I believe it was only a few days since their opening and it left a wonderful impression. The staff were efficient and personable, the food was excellent and nicely prepared and the ambience beside the lake was just delightful. They had cleverly arranged tables, umbrellas and heat lamps to provide comfort throughout the seasons. The place is ginormous though felt very friendly. I had the Burratta, stone fruit, pistachio dish with salmon added. A very moist tender fillet! My friend had a burger and said it was excellent. My only suggestion for improvement would be to turn the tables perpendicular to the lake. That way, no one had their back to the lake and missed the view. We will be going back happily as the menu is extensive and we wanted to try more items.

Yelp
Was here with a group of friends when a very intoxicated guest instigated a fight between himself and a server; the guest's dog was barking and biting at the server as he walked by and the guest blamed the server using several racial remarks and stated the server "had a funny smell" and "did something to [his] dog". The guest then leapt up from his table, unprovoked and rushed the server who was walking away. Bystanders attempted to separate the two (the server had done nothing to provoke such an aggressive reaction from the guest and was attempting to walk away) when the intoxicated guests wife shoved one of the men attempting to diffuse and separate the server and belligerent guest. The drunk guest began punching the bystander and shoved a female server. The manager was not helpful in any way during the altercation and trespassed everyone involved. The cops, other bystanders, and managers let an incredibly intoxicated man, his wife, and their aggressive laberdoodle assault and batter guests and servers with no reprocussions. The food was subpar, but witnessing the level of disrespect, disappreciation, and disregard by the managers at their own restaurant was even more of a disappointment.

Yelp
I find it very interesting and perhaps a little arrogant that management has not addressed any of the low rated reviews. ESPECIALLY one with a regarding food safety preparation. Just say'n

Yelp
Ambiance is great as is parking. They're new and working out kinks. We had to ask 3x to get child menu and water. Not crazy about the menu...I need wings n ribs - not soft shell crab BLT!

Yelp
Got the chance to attend the soft opening, and it was amazing! From the food to the service and the ambience, it was a wonderful date night. Wife had the chicken sandwich, I had the forever roasted pork, and both were seasoned great and garnished well (especially the pork). We will be regulars here. Also, great shout out to Marika, who gave exceptional service and seemed truly excited to be working there. Passion for your job makes any experience 10x better.

Yelp
First time we went, we were brought to a table where the customers had just left and they were plates all over of course, and we were surrounded by three tables that were empty. They made us wait in the hot sun for like four minutes so they can clear the table. As we were sitting after having ordered, I started looking around and servers were bouncing all over outside, so it's not like they had to put us in one particular servers section. I ordered the gem salad and it was delicious. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich which he was not real thrilled with. Having been a former server I am a stickler for service. I had a dish of lemons for my ice water and as we're eating our food, one of the bussers comes and tries to take the dish when clearly there were still lemon slices in it. I thought that was weird. We did not like them standing over us while we were trying to pay with a credit card with the little machine thing. They could've left for a minute. Now I go back the second time where my friend ordered the same salad I had the first time and hers was twice as big. I had the squash salad, which all of the ingredients could fit into one measuring cup. It wasn't much at all and for $18 I thought it was overpriced. Absolutely delicious but still nowhere near enough for an adult to have and feel satisfied with. Again the busser tries to take my glass of lemons. It's a very simple menu, but I understand they're going to change it as they get into the groove of being a newly opened restaurant. Both times our servers were very nice and attentive to our needs. I like that the outside tables have the umbrellas clamped onto the table itself, so a gust of wind won't shake it and startle anyone sitting there. We are happy to have another option for dining in Rohnert Park as it is very limited here. Both of the salads I had were absolutely delicious although I think they need to be consistent with their portions and the squash salad definitely needs to be bigger for the price that they charge.

Yelp
If I could give 6 stars, I would!! First off, this is NOT a beer joint...it's a restaurant and a place to chill at a lovely lakeside setting with a full bar, good beer selection, excellent food, and live music on the weekends. The menu is awesome, and I assume it will expand over time as the restaurant gets established. This ain't pub grub...no fried mozz sticks or chicken wings, lol. The menu selections are fresh, innovative, and provide choices for omnivores and vegetarians, with some value-priced items, as well. I am watching my weight, and I appreciated the non-fried choices on their menu that were full of flavor. Yum! They also make a superb burger, and a soft shell crab BLT. We will certainly come back to try the other selections. The service was attentive, also. This is a winner!!!

Yelp
Place was packed. I was excited to be there. Pretty good drink menu. Ordered a margarita with salt. Came out no salt and very weak. Then I looked at the menu. What?!! Are you kidding? Terrible. 1 hamburger, no bacon option. No frills but comes with fries. Asked for Meskim. Got medium rare. Very rare. Middle was uncooked. They should be cooking those to temperature so nobody gets sick. The burger was a mess. No tomato. Shredded iceburg lettuce. So much sauce and cheese that it was sloppy and dripping and falling apart. Horrible. Fries were ok. Oh, and thet mixed up the plates and gave my fries to our friends and gave us their salads. Had to get a second plate and scrape their salad off so they could have it. Didn't offer to bring more salad. I told them I do t want you scraping my fries off your plate, get me afresh order of fries. The menu is limited and horrible. No good choices. No pasta, no fish tacos, no steak bites or sliders. TWO choices of boring flatbread- onion or mushroom! no thank you. Terrible choices. Beer was good. Service was pretty good. Need more people to serve. Need a chef with some flare and a much better menu if you are going to survive at that location. I'm not going back until the menu gets better.

Yelp
The place is cool, love the views. The food is new...told my friend the burger just had no flavor besides charcoal from the grill. We sat at the bar and were served well. They have a selection of beer, cider, cocktails and wine. No this isn't a "beer joint" (like another man said no duh) it's a restaurant, but they still have a nice wide selection.
