I went for the band, Innersoul, i love to dance n hear live music! Pizza was good, beer good. Lots of room outside (was unexpectedly cold) but dancing kept me warm...plus stay hydrated. Nice option they serve wine too! We reserved table early.

Had a fantastic date night. The woman behind the bar was so very helpful and sweet. She helped us find the beer we loved and even got a growler to go home. They have events that look very fun. They were having a paint night when we went and I saw they have a trivia night and karaoke night. The BBQ Flatbread pizza was incredible!! We will definitely be back.

Google
Loved finding this gem. Told all my friends about the great beer selection and happy hour munchies. Wonderful atmosphere to hang with family or friends. Excellent service.

Waterman brewing company is located in industrial parkway. Each beer was different and unique. My favorite was the double trouble. The pork quesadilla was delicious. They smoke the pork on the premises. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday afternoon. I would recommend games, trivia night or live music to keep the customers there longer. Also, the patio area should feel more inviting and less like you are an industrial area. It's not a great date spot, since there's nothing to do besides have a beer. It's a great place to enjoy a cold beer and watch a sporting event on the TV. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

Google
Great place. Pulled pork is very good and the Philly Cheesesteak is good. The beer is great! Really liked my lager and my husband liked the brown SLR was great. Definitely will come back. They have more beer I want to try. The service is fabulous!

Google
Got to say the beers are good, we’ve tried 8. Kolch/Cream Ale/Amber Ale/Belgian Rapture/El Guapo Mexican Lager/Hef’n Brau/ Ode to Czars Russian Imperial Stout/ Tropical Haze. All were excellent! Also met the owner Jeff a great man who brews his family’s favorites. Good on you brother. Had the chance to work with Brandon the new barman and he is attentive, friendly and easy going. The other barmen who tended to us were a little less social and actually looked like they don’t enjoy being there.

Google
Cool local spot, one small room that hosts maybe 50 people. We happened to come at the end of their trivia night, which they seem to do every week! Seems like a lot of locals go here regularly. Just shared an IPA, that was decent! Would come back for some of their local events

Google
The bartender was absolutely unenthusiastic, did not greet us, nor smile nor speak with even a hint of inflection in his voice - quite frankly just entering the bar made us feel like we were bothersome and there were only two other patrons at the bar. The brewery has a long list of beers on their menu and also scrolling on the TV - they had THREE options available. The bartender didn’t lead with this info, he ignored us until I had to ask for a beer and then told us one by one that the beer we chose were 86d. We had Mexican lagers which were good. Ordered nachos and received tots but they were also good. Bummer for whoever owns this place. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Excellent work, very efficient. Eli, AJ, and Elias were great! Would recommend their services!

Yelp
Ok, so I might have dropped the ball on taking pictures at this fantastic little brewery but they still absolutely deserve some love! We came in, hot, tired and hungry and left happy, full and refreshed! I really enjoyed their POG Sour beer and my husband liked their Kolsch. We had the All Meat Pizza, which was super good and LOADED with meat! We also enjoyed their pretzel bites (beer cheese sauce was a winner for sure) and their wings. Now, their wings were something special. They were smoked AND sauced! WOW! Some of the best wings I have ever had. Just amazing. The service was fast and friendly and the vibes were very chill and comfortable. This little hidden gem is a must stop in Elk Grove.

Yelp
Stopped in with friends for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. It was kinda quiet when we first walked in and had an older crown at first. But it got a lot more lively while there, which was good. Wasn't sure what to order, so I took suggestions from the bartender and ended up ordering a beer flight. So so I could try a couple of different options. Which is a good option when you don't know what's good and what isn't. As beers can be a hit or miss at times, and flights allow you to try a few from the menu. Surprisingly, the Mexican beer was my favorite, and the more popular beer was my least favorite; so the flight was a great choice.

Yelp
It's a great place to hang out. The alcohol line up is great. Great live music and lively people. They are also Pet Friendly. The food is great and shareable portions. We ordered pizza and sliders. I would recommend it.

Yelp
Love the beers! Tucked away in a light industrial area is a perfect fit. It's a little remote but certainly worth the little effort to get there. The food offerings are pretty strong. Started with food trucks but it's now a kitchen onsite. The trivia night is hugely popular. There's live music friday and Saturday as well which is so fun.

Yelp

Just shared an IPA, that was decent! Would come back for some of their local events when in town, not necessarily the beer itself

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place since i had their hazy ipa at todo un poco so i stopped by on the way home the other day so i could pick up some beer to share with a friend. They had about 4 different beers canned up togo. None of which were what i wanted so i just had their hazy. Sampled a couple other beers but didnt tickle my fancy at the time. Odd that they give samples in plastic cups tbh but sure.

Yelp
We came to see the Taylor Chicks perform and wasn't disappointed. Small venue with seating inside and a back patio with more seating. Lots of beer options they brew on site, ask for a tour. The cauliflower crust pizza was great, a welcome surprise for someone with dietary restrictions! Staff were friendly and service was good. Industrial neighborhood so don't be discouraged by the location. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
I had went to an event with my wife at this restaurant. When I came to the bar I was greeted by the staff person. The staff person was very polite and knowledgeable. I ordered the blackberry cider which was very delicious. I also ordered a Greek pizza. The Greek pizza consists of chicken, mozzarella, feta, red onion, spinach leaves, red sauce on cauliflower crust. The pizza was a nice size and cooked to perfection. The pizza had a nice flavor to it. The ambiance was customer friendly.

Yelp
I love the location, tucked away in Elk Grove. We came to listen to Inner Soul, band is great. Service is very disorganized. Food looks pretty good but we also had to stand in the same line again, line for tickets to event, drink line, etc... hopefully they re-strategize before the next event, many frustrated patrons. But music was phenomenal, good sound system and great attendees, the spirit was good.
google avatar

Marla W.

Yelp
The beer wasn't that great and was more expensive than most breweries. No much ambiance. Didn't try their food.
google avatar

Lily R.

Yelp
Cute spot, Nice and cool inside great music inside and live music outside which is always nice. I always appreciate a spot I can take my dog. The hazy options weren't as hoppy as I'd hope, however the Pineapple Express, Georgina fog and double trouble were the smoothest in my opinion still not as hoppy as i hoped. Didn't get to try the food. But not a bad spot.

Yelp
Buddy and I stopped by to watch the NBA finals. This was our first time visiting. It was a very slow weekend, so service was just fine. Went to order and 3 beer types were out. It's a brewery how do you run out of beer? Tried a couple other choices and they were just average. We ordered chicken street tacos which had no flavor at all, chicken was just boiled not grilled. Could have added taco seasoning at minimum. All meat pizza flatbread was just okay. Even the bartender agreed the food was blah and laughed along. I would not recommend coming back here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Smaller tasting room. A couple times the beer was out that we were interested in. It happens. But has happened a couple times now. Maybe remove it from the menu at this point. I don't remember that beer. 4 stars because it is small. Missing beer they say were available. All in all a good place if you are not looking to hang out but have a beer while your kid is at training in the area.

Yelp
I love supporting our local businesses in Elk Grove. This place has a wide variety of beers and ciders! Which I love because I have a lot of gluten free friends. My team is currently on the leader board for the Trivia night! Which is super fun and chill, I highly recommend it! Now that I've become a regular, it's nice seeing familiar faces and trivia teams that return. They have all the football games. Food And live music. Check out their FB page for current events!

Yelp
Wow! Came here for "Trivia Night with Mark" on a Tuesday evening. Arrived after 630P, found parking easily in their lot. Upon entering there was NO seating available inside, but luckily there was PLENTY of shaded with fans outdoor seating in the back (you can also participate in trivia in this outside area). Fun fact: Waterman serves Champagne and wine too). We had two rounds of champagne, met Mark (the Trivia host-cool dude); Cindy (an owner of Waterman- very chill laid back lady); Jessica (another chill laid back lady and a regular I assume); Derrick (nice guy and a regular I assume) and so many other inviting people! Had a GREAT time here and will definitely return to catch up with the Crew!

Yelp
They really need to start drug testing all the comedians, they all seemed very high. lol. Regarding the food I order a hamburger and it was cold and meat seemed as if it was done the day before . Beer is very good and place has potential to be better. I wish they would order the ufc fights as well and make this place more live and bring in more customers this way.

Yelp
Decent brewery with nice workers. Enter the brewery from the back instead of the front. They are open for outdoor dining. You must purchase food to sit down on their shaded patio. They have their own kitchen offering sandwiches, pizzas, flatbreads, and other usual bar foods. We ordered a vegetable pizza on cauliflower crust, it was ok. A bit small They have a nice selection of beers, but nothing stood out. We had their hefe, tropical ipa, double ipa, porter, Mexican lager, and red ale. I believe their all $7 pints. They have 16 oz cans to go. Didn't see any crowler or growlers Workers all wore masks. They provide water. Everything is served in plastic cups. They allow you to sample their beers. Bathroom was clean. It does get hot out on the patio. They have happy hour Mon-Fri 5-6 pm for $1-2 off beers. Overall a good experience, but nothing that wow'ed us

Yelp
Good food, great service, and the dj's are awesome! I love going to Waterman Brewing. The staff are friendly and attractive!

Yelp
Love all the samples to get to know their tasty beer, along with a sunny spot to watch the game. Cool local scene

Yelp
Food is average, Ambiance is great. Service? Great if the young lady is there, (forgot her name) she has great customer service. If the grumpy bartender is there, naaaah you would want ti forget going to this place unless he knows you. We qould go here atleast once a week. Everytime we are here and the grumpy bartender is the one behind the cashier it always feels like he would want us to get us out quickly. Bar clioses 9pm and we were tild he will close 8pm. We asked him we thought bar closes at 9pm or after foorball, he answered "okay you can stay till 830pm but I need to finalize and close the cashier. We looked at each other and just settled the bill even if we still ahve foods and drinks. That was the last time we went and played darts.

Yelp
*OPEN for Pick Up orders during COVID-19* I love this place! The worker here was super nice and accommodating. My family and I came here to fill up our growler. There's no entering the facility during COVID, but we were able to try around 5 different beers. Our favorite is their Snow Leopard Pilsner which was light and refreshing. We also picked up the Irish Red Ale, which had a great aroma! I like that this place also has porters, which is also one of my favorites--there's something for everyone!

Yelp
Check in for 20% off your first pint or flight! Very friendly and helpful staff that explained their beers very thoroughly. They were also very patient and attentive when allowing us to get samples. Menu is comprised mainly of IPAs, so I'm sure a lot of beer lovers would adore this place. I tried the Belgian Rapture Tripel: light-ish beer with strong hints of coriander and a light banana finish. Very particular taste that I found very enjoyable despite the strong coriander notes, mainly for the aftertaste that strongly mimics banana-flavored Laffy Taffy. Venue itself is small but has plenty of parking spots. It didn't seem too busy during Hoppy Hour, which is 5-6 PM. Overall, enjoyable and interesting beers. I do wish they had more options for beers and food.

Yelp
We were just glad that there was a brewery out here that was open on a Monday and served food! It's in an industrial area, seems a little out in the boonies. It's a lowkey spot that may be geared towards the locals. The strawberry jam cider was good, the food service was a little on the slower side. I got the tri-tip sandwich which I thoroughly enjoyed a little buzzed, plus the neat bag of Cheez its they added on. I tried my friend's meat lovers pizza, was ok.

Yelp
Just tried this brewing spot last night on 2-12-21 with a friend. We snagged a spot on the outdoor patio seating and were assisted by Adam as our beer connoisseur. Basically, put our stuff down on a table, went up to the counter to try either tasting samples or to put a card on file to purchase. We both ordered the jalapeno pear ciders and she had nachos, I chose the pretzel bites. Drinks + food were delish. Spot was vibin'. We discovered that you can in fact bring your dogs to join on the outdoor patio seating. I could see how this location might be hard to find. It's kind of in a warehouse type division. I knew where it was located because I've had my automotive windows tinted nearby, but you may want to plugin GPS just to steer in that correct direction. It's nice that they accept card payment and not just pay by cash. Yeah, I'll definitely be returning. It's local, tasty, gives a good buzz, and I can bring our Boston Terrier. Win/win!

Yelp
Waterman brewery has a excellent Bald Rons Irish Red. I have had beers from a lot of places and this literally is my favorite beer (ask my wife) lol. Also tried the El Guapo Mexican lager which was great. Cindy one of the owners along with her husband Jeff are very nice and personable. I would definitely recommend this brewery

Yelp
This issue started off as a DoorDash problem and turned into a Waterman Brewing problem. I ordered some beer and a pizza. I live literally 5 blocks away. Made the mistake of using my wife's account to order and was rejected because she's not present and her ID was needed. I decide to use my account (with an entirely different name) to order while that one is RETURNED TO THE STORE PER DOORDASH. I order the EXACT same thing. Different doordash driver arrives with a COLD PIZZA. There is condensation on the inside of this box from how long the pizza has been sitting in here--see attached picture. It's incredibly hard to believe that you didn't just resell a pizza to me that was just returned to you in a prior transaction--linked to someone else's name--with a new receipt slapped on the bag. Why else would a pizza be cold with a five minute delivery window? Just--for the record--before my first order was rejected, the pizza was hot. I could feel it through the bag before the first DoorDasher insisted that she needed to return the entire order. Great place for beer and to eat at, so bonus star. But apparently don't trust an online order from this brewery as they like to cut corners.

Yelp
Ode to Czars Nitro Stout was good, but not great. Likewise, the food (pulled pork sandwich, pretzel bites, and nachos supreme) were good. On a relatively slow Friday night, the $13 sandwich was served to us in 15 minutes, the $15 nachos took 35 minutes, and the $11 pretzel bites 45 minutes. It was difficult for my Beautiful Bride to fully enjoy her sandwich while we waited another 20 minutes for my nachos. Live music was mediocre, and to loud to permit good conversation. But that's pretty much to be expected with live music.

Yelp
Came here to watch the superbowl. It's a weird location to have brewery at. It's located in an industrial area which is pretty dead in itself. I don't drink beer so the drinks menu was minimal. The food was horrible. Ordered the chips and salsa. Chips tasted like it was from a bag. I also ordered wings which was overcooked and extremely salty. The food took forever to come out. I'm thinking there was only one person in the kitchen. The ladies who were serving were pretty great.

Ronald G.

Yelp
The food is hideous. The burger my brother had looked like it had been reheated from the day before. It was dry and grey. The hot wings were rubbery and totally inedible. Half of the pretzel bite's looked to be burnt. I looked into the kitchen on the way out, it was about the size of a large closet, and very filthy. The beers tasted good but seemed not to have been served at the right temperature or something. They lost their effervescence quickly. The bar area looked clean though since we dogs we had to sit out back. The saving

Yelp
See i came in for a kolsch, but i know there is some festbier left too. Also wanted a stout, but also wanted the.....scratch that Came in for a thirsty elk But then wanted the porter Now after thinking about it I wanted the Single malt single hopped ale"smashed" get it. Go for the blonde then you gotta balance it with a stout but also it just leads to the Irish red to end it Order a flight so you can eventually find out what you like. They don't post it but They do bottomless mimosas actually. IF If your nice to your bartender and its not busy they may make you a nice snake bite
google avatar

Alena h.

Yelp
The staff are really nice, parking is ample, the back patio is nice with the turf and the benches, and the food is good and the margarita slushy was amazing! The only reason for four stars here is because they only have one stall in the bathroom and so the bathroom gets too crowded. The bathroom was clean but they only have one stall. They need to have more bathrooms or more stalls.
google avatar

Lor H.

Yelp
Super unorganized, and bad service all around. Took an hour for chips and salsa, until we reminded them about our order. My favorite was the regular pretzel on their menu for $8, OR pretzel "bites" for $11. We ordered the bites thinking must be more. Just fyi, the bites are a cut up large pretzel hahaha, I had to laugh! $3 extra cause they sliced it up. The kid on register was sweet but so clueless and slow, place is a must miss.

Yelp
Such a fun brewery! They host trivia nights and on the night that I had come, they had a food truck right outside. It is a tight squeeze but they have plenty of seating all around. They also have seating outside! Their bathroom was nice and clean (this really does make the experience more enjoyable). There is also a huge tv screen on one end and another at the other end for sports and so forth. The service was really good and a lady was making rounds through the crowd making sure each table was doing okay. I was truly surprised with the excellent service provided. Had the Old Towne Porter and it was just fine. I have no complaints there but it also didn't have a memorable taste. Not sure if I'll be back any time soon but it was definitely worth a try for the fun atmosphere.
google avatar

Lee K.

Yelp
Waterman Brewing Company had ample places to park. When we walked in we had no greeting- Guy came out just kinda looked at us. Really no personality and it was our first time there. We ordered a few beers which were decent- price was average. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Too many breweries out there to go back to this one. Guy needs to be a little happier to be there. Bathrooms were decently clean.

Yelp
Hands down, one of my favorite breweries in Elk Grove area. I've never had a bad experience, on the contrary my visits have always been a great time! The activities they have on a weekly basis are consistent and everyone is always inclusive and fun to be around. They allow dogs inside and people are so friendly! The beer tastes great and the staff is fun to talk with ... If you're looking for a chill time and some good beer, this brewery is quaint, comfortable and hits the spot. Love the Tropical Haze IPA & they let you taste before you commit to a pint of whatever your choosing.
google avatar

Natasha S.

Yelp
Came here for the School of Rock night. Tucked away in the warehouse district of old Elk Grove, this brewery has good beer and great vibes. I had the Tiki Spice beer and it was fabulous. Neither bitter, nor too sweet and especially not hoppy or dark. There were several finger foods and snacks for sale at the tables. Cash only- should have known better. Thankfully the kind people allowed us to just Venmo them! It was however, a little disappointing that the band station was out in the back which had space for only a handful people. Overall, a good time.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
This place is hidden gem! The beers are great they have food trucks on the regular. They have live music and the people that work here are great! You need to come on down and and grab a few pints and maybe some grub if they have it they that day. You can check there website to see if a food vendor is going to be there. Cheers

Robert H.

Yelp
This is a great little hole in the wall. been there a half dozen times and quality continues to impress. I have been around and there are some real crap places out there but this isn't one of them.

Geotron V.

Yelp
Everything is mid. Tri-tip sando is okay, pass on the nachos. Pineapple Express hazy tastes okay despite not being hazy, my girl likes the cream ale (natch).

Delia V.

Yelp
Attended an event to celebrate my grandson engagement last Sunday. Slow food service to begin with. Later that evening owners were rude & disrespectful to my grandson & his mother. Poor management communication & employee support caused a horrible ending to our celebration. Shameful behavior as a Elk Grove community business. My first & last visit.
google avatar

Mariah S.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Almost every person in the place had their dog with them so that was nice! We'll bring ours next time! The beer was pretty good. I had the Hef N Brau and my honey had the Irish Red Ale and we both liked them! I am not an IPA person and not a huge fan of super hoppy beers high in IBU so I didn't try any of the other beer. There wasn't any food other than the warm pretzels and I was kind of disappointed in that. Staff was friendly. There are multiple tv's as well as a large projection screen which is great for football Sunday's!! They have a small selection of games which was nice as well. We live nearby so we'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
I have now been here twice and will never return. The good service is horrible and the food itself sucks! It took two hours for us to get our food. Each dish was brought out one by one so we couldn't eat together! And everything was ice cold and bland. How hard is it to screw up nachos, well for them, it's becoming an art! I warned my friend not to order them based on my prior experience but she thought I was being too picky (it's just nachos she says)! Ha. Each time I've been there (twice) they have had a sign up advertising for a cook. There's a reason for that. If you go there, pack a lunch/dinner. You will starve. The bar staff was super inattentive and ignored us for 6 minutes while they stood behind the bar chatting with eachother. When we were finally acknowledged they weren't helpful as far as what beers they recommended. We were there fir trivia night and tried to make it fun for ourselves despite the food and crappy service. There prices are stupid expensive for what they have - and they don't have fries or onion rings or burgers. At a new pub? We won't be back and we tell our friends to avoid this place snd save their money and spare themselves the frustration. Our date of visit was January 17 2023.

Yelp
The beers were good and they play sport games on a big projector. Good casual brewery, nothin amazing but nothing bad.

Yelp
Stopped by Waterman for the first time this weekend and I really enjoyed it! Great beer selection. I personally like IPAs and they have a few of them to choose from. I started out with a flight of the IPAs and ended up loving the tropical haze. They also sell cans and growlers for you to take home so we took a growler home so wehave some for later. Lots of seating and parking, that's a plus! Staff was friendly and they had live music. Very nice touch. If you are ever in the sac/Elk Grove Area definitely stop by Waterman Brewing. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
I Love this place. Best beer I've ever had in a while. Out door patio seating is super comfortable. Cindy our server is one of the best, who took care of us. We have nothing to complain, only compliments. Try it out. If you like beer, You won't regret it. Try the beer Called Pineapple Express.

Yelp
Waterman Brewing Company is my No. 1 destination in Elk Grove. They have a wide selection of very good microbrews and their food is delicious. The people are friendly. The restrooms are very clean. They could turn down the volume of the music a bit.

James V.

Yelp
Out first visit as a family with 1 toddler and an infant. Wanted to support a local brewery and it was down the street from us. My 3 yr old enjoys going to breweries with us. Beertender didn't seem too happy. I didn't hear it but my wife heard him complain about our kids when they didn't do anything. My toddler sat, ate, and didn't make any noise. My infant didn't cry at all. Really wanted to like this place and I regret tipping him. Didn't find this out until after we paid. We cleaned up after ourselves and we won't be coming back. Beers were just ok and food was mediocre.

Yelp
Come by any night of the week for incredible food, food entertainment and some of the best beer in the Valley.
