"Here’s a second-level boardwalk venue with a view of the ocean on one side and the Stone Pony Summer Stage on the other. It’s more of a bar with high-octane cocktails as well as inventive mocktails, yet also sells snacks like za’atar fries, shawarma, pretzels and beer cheese, or skirt steak. If it rains, there’s also a handsome indoor bar with a fireplace." - Celia Buckley, Melissa McCart

The ambiance is good. The drinks are good. The service is good. Security everywhere. Nice mixed crowd. The music had some moments where you can get in a vibe, but I've heard a lot better dj's. I would definitely go back and bring friends

I hosted a Celebration of Life for my late mother here, and it was beautiful. Russell was amazing throughout the planning process. He and the staff provided great service with tasty food and delicious drinks. The space is open and comfy with the most beautiful view of the ocean, and the outdoor space was also great. I would definitely recommend this place for events, and I will be coming back with my friends for drinks

Nice place to hangout. Great ocean view. Wide range of drinks to choose. When we arrived, we were waiting to be seated. After a while we found out other people just went in straight and we followed. Must try the Fries. Really tasty. Tuna Tartare is also fresh. For the Meatballs, we did not have high expectation but they were also tasty.

Just had our wedding reception here after having our official ceremony in Vegas two weeks before. We wanted something that did not feel super stuffy and formal since we were not having a ceremony and were technically already married but still wanted it to feel upscale and beautiful. Russell and his staff exceeded all expectations. They are kind, attentive, and professional. Every single person working made sure to check on me (the bride) and made sure our needs (and guests) were well taken care of! The food and cocktails were exceptional and all of our guests reviewed it as one of their all time favorite weddings. If you’re looking for something more intimate and beautiful than a traditional ballroom setting this is place to have your wedding.

The view and upscale atmosphere almost makes you forget you’re in Asbury Park NJ until your wallet gets stolen out of your purse. Be very mindful of your belongs because there is not a big security presence on the outside rooftop area.

Great find . Upbeat bar/restaurant that appeals to a wide age range of people. Friendly and fun. Overlooks the Stone Pony so it's perfect for seeing and listening to the bands! Menu has great small plate options and huge cocktail/beer choices. The bartenders, servers and even security people are friendly and professional.

One of my friends and I got together and tried this spot out. I have been wanting to give it a try for a while. When we arrived we found parking not too far. Fyi you have to pay until 9pm daily. When we walked in the spot was super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors at first and got drinks. The bar moved fast and the drinks were affordable. I got a spiked tea and it was good. I then got a glass of wine and that was good too. My friend enoyed her drinks. We sat outside for the remainder of the time there and the views were nice. A DJ comes after a certain time also. We had a good time and I definitely will return.

We were there on a busy Sunday afternoon. Our server was attentive, the food was great and I highly recommend the fish & chips. Drinks were also reasonably well priced. Large outside patio and a very nice indoor lounge.

Yelp
Spent the day in Asbury with my girlfriend who needed some beach therapy after having a double knee replacement just a few weeks prior. We decided on Watermark for dinner after spending some time on the boardwalk. The only obvious way to entry were flights of stairs from the boardwalk or from the street, but we had read that it was handicap accessible. I spoke with a waiter and he connected me with the manager who went out of his way to show us elevator and then met us when we exited. He graciously offered both of us complimentary drinks which were well received. We loved the atmosphere of the deck area. Our waiter was very attentive even though he was very busy. We ordered four tapas as this was our dinner, but we would have been satisfied with just three. We had the Hummus Crudites, Falafal Bites, Boneless Chicken Bites, and the Coconut Shrimp. It was all fantastic. The Falafal plate was bigger than we had expected. Great service, food, drinks, and atmosphere. Everyone we spoke to on the deck was very friendly and we had a nice sunset to top it off. Perfect spot to wrap up a day at the shore.

Yelp
I didn't order any food from here, so I can't comment on the food. My boy and I came here for some drinks and conversation by the short. It was a great time. The drinks were pretty good. He ordered an old-fashioned and I ordered The Mermaid and the walrus. Both were very good. Perfectly made The service here was pretty good. I spilled some of my drink, and a waitress somehow saw and brought me a napkin to wipe my hand. The vibe here is so chill and nice. You get ocean views, cocktails, and chill music. Perfect place to have a drink after work. Come check it out.

Yelp
We were visiting from out of town. Enjoyed the well-balanced cocktails that we ordered as well as the great location overlooking the boardwalk. Friendly folks to talk with and attentive staff. We had a tapas plate each (hummus and the beef kabobs), and both were good. If we lived in AP, we'd be back!

Yelp
When you're looking for a nice rooftop drinks spot, this is the place to go! We've been twice now, and had the same great server every time. I've tried several of their cocktails and never regretted them (the drinks are tasty!). I'll definitely return if I'm in the area again.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews, but tonight calls for a review. The service at watermark was not acceptable. Specifically, the older Italian "security" guy that monitors the bathroom was way out of line. For starters, this is for the pride festival weekend. My cousin who is a tomboy, was rudely ostracized while trying to use the women's bathroom, so she decided to use the men's bathroom. While using the men's bathroom, there was a loud knock on the stall door, followed by a loud man's voice saying "you cannot use the bathroom". When she told them to shut up, thinking it was some rude guy just giving her an attitude, she was told she had to leave the bar. Come to find out that the loud and rude man was the 65+ bouncer that never identified himself as security. As members of the LGBTQ+ community, this did not sit right with us. We personally had a civil conversation with this said bouncer and we apologized for speaking to him in any rude way, but he did not care. His words were "I didn't like the way ya talked to me. Time to go." We were taken to an exit in the back with no instruction on how to actually exit the bar. I've come to this bar on multiple occasions, but from now on, I will not be coming back. This was so uncalled for and is completely unacceptable. I hope that management holds people like this accountable in the future and definitely should not allow individuals like this to work at a bar that is supposed to be LGBTQ+ acceptable.

Yelp
Love this concept. What a great location overlooking the asbury park boardwalk and ocean. Delicious food and delicious drink. Lovely relaxing vibe and nice service. Go!

Yelp
I love this place, I went for the Melanin Mixer nite .. it's my favorite restaurant to visit on the Asbury Boardwalk, has the perfect ambiance view of the beach. It's not a big selection of food, but the small bites have a big taste! The service is a superb, love them all!

Linda D.

Yelp
Great atmosphere!! It's a roof top with tapas overlooking the beach. We had a bunch of drinks. Our server was Rose. She was very good. We had sliders, a chicken flatbread , fried chicken bites. Everything was good. Most of all my Cosmopolitan's were great!

Mark R.

Yelp
Mike Leo is the Man. Ask for him you won't be sorry. Drinks, View what more could you ask for?

Jarrod G.

Yelp
What they do, they do well. Extensive drink menu. Cocktails were good. Great beer selection. Small bites menu but everything we had was on point...the beach view is an added bonus

Karminna E.

Yelp
Cozy cocktail lounge! Drinks were strong. Great prices. I really enjoyed it here! It's a stylish and contemporary environment . There are large couches so it definitely accommodates large groups too.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere Horrible cocktails Parking situation is ridiculous your lucky to find a space at all Younger crowd crappy music

Monique S.

Yelp
This review is based on customer service. No idea how the food is. I stopped by asking if I could buy hot water to heat up breastmilk for my child. The front desk stated she had to ask her manager. He stated to her while looking at me why does she need hot water on a beach? Tell her we do not sell hot water to go! If she needs hot water go to the coffee shop. Wow the attitude completely threw me off. I was willing to buy it or pay for something else in order to recieve the hot water. I would never come here again based on his attitude!

Yelp
Grabbing drinks at Watermark is such a great experience, it's honestly become my favorite bar in Asbury. The aesthetic at this bar is such a vibe! The couches are so conformable both inside and outside. Inside, there are beautiful white couches lined up next to glass windows that look out onto the ocean. Fair warning: the lighting becomes really dim once the sun sets. But, it's also such a beautiful place to watch the sun go down. You can get amazing golden hour pics here. Outside, you have a wide assortment of neutral tone couches and you can feel the ocean breeze no matter where you sit. This whole place is a rooftop and it gives you a birds eye view onto the board walk -- really fun for people watching on a busy day. They have multiple fans running at all times so you never really get hot - we also went during sunset so it was a little cooler during that time of day. There are no dining tables however, kind of just stools and small tables which is enough if you order a few appetizers. They don't really serve full on dinner food, but more like small plates -- which can make you full really fast if you get a bunch. I wouldn't choose this place for dinner, but maybe for a drink before or after! I am used to prices in Jersey City, where your most basic drinks are from $12 to $15, and here I ended up paying $16 FOR TWO DRINKS!! I thought it was a bargain, and for the vibes, it's super worth the price. The vodka soda really gets the job done -- $8 well spent! Service is nice, someone greeted us within seconds of stepping up to the bar. There's ample parking in the area as well, all of it is meters, so don't forget to add more time if/when you end up staying longer. The music here isn't too upbeat, it kind of just makes you want to sway as you enjoy your drink on the beach. It's a great ambiance and you're 100% going to end up staying longer than you wanted to here-- don't even try to fight it. 10/10 recommend! - It's a trendy, modern and fun place at a decent price, what more can you ask for!

Yelp
Watermark is still my favorite Asbury bar and they did not disappoint despite the current restrictions due to COVID-19. We stopped by after a day at the beach. The hostess asked for my phone number and I was sent the wait time and the menu via text. We didn't have reservations but were seated right away. The seating arrangements are spaced out and I felt very comfortable. The drink and food menu are limited. I was not able to get my favorite drink, the Asbury iced tea but I tried In The Buff and really liked it. At one point it started drizzling and the hostess handed every party a big umbrella and assured us that the rain should pass, which it did. I was really impressed by this. Can't wait until my next visit!

Malikah M.

Yelp
The Watermark is a great spot for drinks and to relax with great music. This is not the club to dance but you can have unique cocktails and hum to the music. Come to drink and chill in this modern, intimate club on the waterfront.

Katie G.

Yelp
Menu has 8 food items. Tapas style. No happy hour. Great views. $13 cocktails. Nice atmosphere.

Christian K.

Yelp
It was pouring rain outside sideways and we had been inside and spent $100+ and as we waited for an Uber by the doors, a doorman told us we "had to leave" because he "needed to lock the doors" as if 1:10 made a difference vs 1:20 when it's raining sideways when there's no awning outdoors. No people skills whatsoever.

J B.

Yelp
Food was very good. Ambiance amazing. Disappointed that there weren't any mock tails included in happy hour. Server was a little brash and she wasn't busy...wasn't the friendliest. We didn't understand the behavior. But everyone has off days.

Yelp
Doing a bit of research before we made it to Asbury Park, Watermark was one of the places we were definitely going to do. The bartender was friendly and made my wife an older drink that was online, but not on their current menu. When we were almost done with the glass, we noticed a crack along the back side. I'm sure we could have gotten a new cocktail, but we were already finished it and ready to move to the next location. The upstairs was packed, but we found a nice spot overlooking to boardwalk outside. My drink looked fancy, but tasted a bit flat. I think there was some ginger beer or ginger ale in it, but it just tasted a bit off. For a place outside, I was very happy to have an actual glass. yes, even though one of them was cracked... I just really hate drinking out of plastic cups now. I'll do it, but I just won't be happy about it...

Lauren S.

Yelp
We were at Asbury park for the day and I wanted to come here to grab drinks and sit on the outside patio before dinner. I looked up the menu online ahead of time to figure out what drink to get because I'm indecisive. When we got to the bar the menu there was slightly different than the one online though. The bartender did make the drink I wanted though. The inside looks really nice and sleek, but the outside patio is more beachy and casual. We couldn't find seats but found a spot to stand to overlook it the boardwalk which was cool. I ordered the cherry valance which had lemongrass mint bourbon, brandied cherries, cherry herring, ginger, and cinnamon syrup. I try to order stuff that's different and not always what I normally get, but I don't think it the flavors really worked together that well in this drink. Maybe the proportions were off. There was too much cinnamon in it that overpowered everything. My husbands drink also tasted like flat soda. My drink also had a crack in it, I didn't notice till halfway through. I was trying to finish it quick before it shattered. I expected better from a craft cocktail place that charges $10-$13 per drink. Some of the other drinks on the menu look really good though. But we didn't stay any longer to find out cause we had other places to go. If we got different drinks without the cracked glass I prob would have given 3 or 4 stars as this place seems like there's potential, but it was a series of unfortunate events. If we went back I would probably get a gin drink with fruit that's more refreshing.

Yelp
My favorite bar/lounge to go to in Asbury Park, and frankly, a favorite in general. (And I'm a New Yorker with high standards. ) Been here several times, three times during the pandemic, and every time the service is top notch, and so are the drinks. The people who work there are FUN, kind, and know what they're doing (shout out to George, who served us in October 2020). Most recent visit was last week (July 2021) and they continue to impress. The drink menu is varied and INTERESTING. You can tell whoever curates it actually cares and is into what they do. The music is always on point, especially when they play some 90s/early 2000s hip hop/R&B. Can't wait to go back. :) It's bougie and sophisticated in a way I like without being pretentious or overly scene-y.

Mary R.

Yelp
I almost hate to give this away but this is the absolute perfect place to experience a stone pony summer concert stage without actually going to the Stone pony concert! This outdoor bar overlooks the stage and you can hear the show perfectly. It's not super close so not quite the same but you can bring some binoculars and see very well! Or sit on the other side of the deck and watch the ocean! Limited appetizer menu but really awesome, especially for vegetarian and vegans! Seitan skewers were fabulous! Watermelon salad delicious! Casual & fun! Wear sunglasses, the sun goes down in your eyes for a while!

Timothy T.

Yelp
This place is all about atmosphere and it's all good. Whether you are sitting on the plush couches indoors staring at the ocean or the big fireplace, or sitting outdoors enjoying outdoor views of the ocean and boardwalk. We visited Watermark in February so indoor was our sole choice. There are no dining room tables per se so no dinners are served yet they do serve tapas like cheese platters, pizza, some japanese plates, etc. and use tables adjacent to the couches. It is dimly lit indoors and makes for an intimate atmosphere. Warning, you'll need your phone's flashlight to illuminate the menu. It's impossible to read otherwise. Service was excellent and the pizza, {we tried both varieties,} was very good. Beer prices are a bit elevated $8-$9 as I imagine the other drinks are as well. Certainly good and worth a visit, especially in warmer weather. I can't say I'm disappointed with sitting inside; a very nice experience.

Justin E.

Yelp
Love the staff, drinks, food, & atmosphere! Definitely an Asbury Park staple all year-round!

Angela N.

Yelp
Fun, trendy, great drinks and great food. Highly recommend! Would definitely go back

Yelp
Watermark stands above the rest for many reasons. Most obvious is the killer view of the Asbury Park beach & boardwalk from their second floor main room & two decks. The owner Russell runs a great business with a professional team who's goal is to provide a seamless & memorable experience. You'll feel like guests in a friend's home here. That rocks. Watermark's support of the local community is admirable as they quietly contribute on multiple levels towards making Asbury a great place to live. Cheers and thanks to the good folks here.

Yelp
Went here for their "Beach" event to enjoy a seafood dinner and drinks with my girlfriend. I will say that the way they advertise the event is not exactly what we got. It's advertised as sunset views and tons of lights, but the sun sets on the opposite side of the city and there were very few fairy lights. Anyways, the food was pretty solid, I'd give it 4 stars. The lobster roll and the lobster Mac were super yummy. The crab cake sliders were just okay. The drinks were also solid. Fun time!

Uneka H.

Yelp
So at first, this place was trending for "3" stars at the most! When we first got here, it wasn't as many people here and we ordered our food pretty early however, it seemed like people that ordered "after" us was getting there food!? We waited for about 20-25 mins until we finally said something and then somehow the food magically started coming out- so needless to say we were not happy. The food itself was mediocre at best, we ordered the "Tuna Tartar" and the "Spinach Dip" which wasn't really anything to brag about. What turned this place into "4" stars is when we decided to sit inside towards the back and enjoy the ambiance and music. There was a nice fireplace in the back with good music and GREAT people! The waitress in the back? MUCH MORE ATTENTIVE then the waitress in the front and it seemed like it could've been more people on the back. The drinks were flowing, everybody was dancing and having a good time and the DJ was playing great music. Word of advice- make sure "all" customers are paid attention to and not just the ones that "look" like they give tips. To be honest, it was really only one waitress who gave us poor service out of all the staff with a short cut (can't remember her name) however everyone else was nothing short of amazing! We even tipped the guy that was cleaning the tables (he said it was his last few days there) but he was extremely attentive and super nice. Overall great place- I would totally come back.

Natty C.

Yelp
Classy bar with a rooftop. The atmosphere here is everything! I came during the day to enjoy the view. There's an inside and outside bar. Drinks are reasonably priced at around $10-$11 for a cocktail. The sangria was very good. At night time it's more clubby and crowded. I can't comment on the food but someone ordered a cheese plate that looked good.

Rob R.

Yelp
Great happy hour spot If you want to drop in and grab a drink by the water. Cocktails were tasty. Benches could use some cushions. Only had coconut shrimp appetizer and wouldn't recommend that. Some other apps I saw looked good.

Gretchen S.

Yelp
Where do I start...Thursday night out with great friends to have some cocktails...very expensive evening, drinks were delicious and bar staff very attentive and spot on. Stone Pony concert sounded awesome from up there too!! Closing time..website states 11pm. One more round of expensive and delicious martinis and then not 5 minutes later lights go on inside the bar and told it's time to go. No 10 minute warning from the Bouncers. Rude, rude, and more rude. Management note Bouncers need customer service training.

Rosemary V.

Yelp
Although I've been here twice for drinks, I got married here so must of my review will focus on my wedding experience. Management: Russell was amazing and professional and flexible with me. Food: If you have ever been married then you know that you don't get to eat as much as you should at your own wedding but the dishes that I did get to taste were amazing. I had like 4 lobster rolls and the tuna dish and steak and mashed potato dish was just amazing. All of my guests raved about the food which is one of the most important thing for me. Drinks: They make specialty cocktails for your event and I love that they had Brugal (Dominican rum) inspired cocktails. Space: Super spacious and modern. We did not have to worry about decorations or choosing the "perfect napkin". Although not super warm the day of our wedding, I loved the fact that our guests had the option to go to the rooftop area as they pleased and we were able to capture amazing pictures out there! This is ideal for people who want a stress-free wedding and want to focus on the bigger picture (celebrating and sharing your love!). My husband and I are going to make a it point to go to Asbury at least once a year for our anniversary and Watermark will definitely be one of our stops! Last but not least, this place is a awesome choice if you are just in the mood for drinks with an awesome view of the beach. Final Verdict: Will keep coming back!

Xananisha P.

Yelp
Drinks were great and all of our food came out hot and fresh! Super tasty bites. DJ also had a nice mix of music.

Chris A.

Yelp
this place was really nice. you walk in up the stairs and it's a rooftop bar with views of the beach and asbury park. there was no cover which is always great, we just wen to check it out. there's also an inside which is like a lounge area with also a bar. Definitely a chill spot

Adam D.

Yelp
Watermark's the spot. I've never eaten here, so I can't speak for the food, but it's got to be the best bar - and one of the few bars - along the Asbury boardwalk. The outdoor patio offers a great view of the ocean and all the action on the beach. The cocktails are excellent and served with prices you would expect to pay in a place like this (in the $12-13 range). Very classy ambience indoors as well, with lounge seating that makes it kind of awkward to eat, which is probably why the menu is limited to lounge-ish food. (I wouldn't want to be cutting into a filet mignon on the leather furniture). If you ever meet Russell the owner, think about which celebrity chef he reminds you of, or I'll just tell you here: Gordon Ramsay. While he might not talk like him, he sure walks like him and looks like him!

Tony P.

Yelp
Having late afternoon lunch here at Watermark. We ordered Cracker Crust Pizzas, Tulum Chicken Fingers and Grilled Cheese with Black Forest ham. The pizza is delicious, the lobster is well cooked and blended well with goat, jack and smoked mozzarella cheeses. The chicken finger was not a typical American chicken fingers. It's sort of an Asian fusion chicken fingers, not fried but steamed. Sliced in cubes with lime, cilantro marinated with heart of palm salad and cumin aioli on the side. The chicken is moist and juicy. The heart of palm salad blended well with the chicken specially when you dip it in aioli. The grilled cheese is well done, not burnt and the ham is delicious. Moderately priced menu and drinks offset the beautiful view of the beach from their gigantic windows, also their wide outdoor patio and the Stone Pony rock music, sound you can hear from their summer stage concert behind Watermark. Staff and servers are nice and respectful. Great ambiance, with leather couches and metal bar stools all over the place. Clean upgraded separated Men and Women's bathroom. Take note, flip plops not allowed after 8pm.

Maria V.

Yelp
So after a day at the beach, we came here to check out the drinks cause we heard they had good cocktails. Happy hr is 5-7 - so it was perfect when we happen to stroll in. Located above cubancon and near the Korean taco truck right on the boardwalk. There is a comfortable outside rooftop bar as well as a sexy inside bar/ lounge. Service was on point- had several waiters check on us and our waitress was lovely. The cocktails were amazing! The type of place that made me want to try drink drinks . My favorite was the " punch up" with home infused blackberry gin, lavender syrup and lemon juice. Sweet with just enough alcohol to leave u happy by the end of the drink :) Happy hr cocktails were like 9ish vs 12 dollar when it's not happy hr. We tried the artesian grilled cheese as well as the lobster/goat cheese pizza and they both were very good! You don't necessarily have to dress come here . We were in beach clothes . But majority of people will come somewhat dressed especially as the night progresses . Will def be back

Diego M.

Yelp
Bottom line: great atmosphere, fast and friendly service, meh prices, great mixology, awesome view. Gluten line: oh snaps, gluten free dip with tortilla chips! Long line: didn't expect much upon first arriving here, but I was really impressed with the place. The vice is clean and modern. Our waitress was very nice and helped us order the dip. Mixology was on point and prices were as expected for the area. Great place to hang out with some other young adults ie 26-36 crowd (guesstimate). Would return.

Lisa O.

Yelp
If i could give a 0 i would!!!! It is July 2nd, 2022 at 7 pm, i traveled out of state with a group of friends (we are all 30), and the security guard was the BIGGEST asshole ever. He didn't believe our IDS were real because we were out of state and was ridiculously rude and made us leave. If u are from out of state DONT GO. They are rude to anyone traveling!!

LooeyT T.

Yelp
This place is on the Asbury Park boardwalk! Commanding view. The view is extraordinary from both the rooftop, as well as from inside. Watermark was bustling but we had no trouble getting an ale and mixed drink (we happened to get drinks from the inside bar); the bartender, as well as the people assisting in the indoor bar were friendly, mellow (read unrushed), and explained everything about their beers and mixed drinks. I asked for a taste of one of their ales, (in most places, given the upturn in beer variety, I was given an ounce to taste...¡no problema! The beer/ale selection was very good, but I had wished there were more draft beers to choose from, but I am picky and have widely varied tastes. Anyway, no one will be disappointed with the selection, and what was available on that evening was not easy to choose from. (We did not order drinks from the rooftop bar as we already had drinks in hand.) We took them out to the rooftop area and had a SUPER view of the ocean...whitecaps and boats coming into Belmar or Point Pleasant. Wind from the south...(Asbury has quite an asset being on the coast!) After a bit we went inside for some food; our waiter (George) let us know exactly where we could sit ---which was anywhere! Very comfortable seating inside...couches and many throw pillows, with nice small tables where the food was placed. The inside was perfectly air conditioned and the view was as good as on the rooftop. The places to sit were super comfortable; we did not sit at the window, yet still had an unrestricted ocean view. My daughter ordered a pizza looking dish, thin crust, with toppings that were on the healthy side; not your usual pizza parlor fare. Excellent. We shared that. I ordered a cheese dish (labeled for two), and shared that as well; when the food server delivered it I could not tell which cheese was which. (I had to ask the waiter.) Hey, not really a problem, but I hope next time the person bringing out the plate will tell me the names of the cheeses. The next I WILL get this cheese tasting platter again! They didn't have a big restaurant menu with two or three courses, but what they did offer, all looked good. If you happen to have a large appetite, you could order more than one item; the prices were reasonable. I felt the prices for the drinks and food were Very reasonable for the amount of attention and courtesy we received, and the variety and quality of food. Oh, Waterfront, PLEASE be open (at least for a two of months) between Labor Day and Memorial Day! Some places like the Waterfront, could be snobby...not at all here! There are many good places to eat and sip in Asbury Park, but this is one not to miss. Did I say the view was magnificent...?

Yelp
If I could give them 0 stars I would. The bouncer wouldn't let me and my friends in because our birth year is 1998...we are 24 years old. He was extremely rude and called us "assholes" and the manager could not care how unprofessional his employee was. I literally will never ever step foot back into this place. Stay away from the short bouncer who clearly has small man syndrome.

Yelp
I watched a group get kicked out for pretty much defending them selves. I followed the group to Porta and observed that they had no problems. I also realized how much better music was else where. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Yelp
I'd love to give this spot five stars, the view is perfect, you can hear the live concerts from the Stone Pony and the drinks are delicious. However, this evening, after paying for our $12 drinks we were abruptly and rudely told "the bar is closed you need to leave" around 10:45. We never even considered it might be last call because of the way security was yelling at paying customers to get out. My friend didn't even finish his drink! Understandable that it might be last call but security yelling at people to put their drinks down and get out is unacceptable. You announce last call and allow customers to finish their provisions you do not yell at them to leave. I'd expect better from a high end establishment.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and yummy and attractive food. Great for an after beach cocktail and light bite Seating arrangements could be better and cleaned/wipes down Reasonably priced food and drinks. We had watermelon cocktail, Bellini then ahi tuna and catch of the day .. really good! Don't take reservations Food orders can only be made at the table

Yelp
Spent a pleasant August evening on the rooftop patio. The drink selection was quite good and not overly expensive. The waiters were very friendly, although service was fairly slow on a night when the bar wasn't really that crowded. The patio seating appears to be welcoming but turns out to be not particularly comfortable. More frequent table wiping (like between parties) would also be advised. The only real issue we had was that the description of the appetizers is NOT particularly accurate in that they were actually quite a bit larger than we had expected. Not normally a problem, right? Except when you wind up ordering far too much food, which was the case for us. As far as the food itself, the grilled cheese was VERY good, but the ahi tuna and lobster cracker pizza were pretty disappointing. That said, I would not hesitate to go back and bring friends. Overall we had a very nice time while there. However, there are definitely some improvements that could be made. One final thought - Asbury Park has definitely become worth visiting, somewhat to our surprise!
