I saw Water’s Edge on The Knot and thought there was absolutely no way I could secure it for my wedding. Lucky enough, we were able to nail down the last Friday they had available in August. Cynthia - the general manager - was amazing. She did not pressure us to make any decisions and gave us time to think it over when we were considering booking there. We also worked closely with Donna when it came to payments, planning, food selections, seating chart and the day of timeline. Donna is also a top-notch employee. They were easy to communicate with and available whenever I had questions. They worked with our vendors so I was also able to stay out of a lot of communication between them which was a huge stress reliever for me. They provide an insane package that includes 2 signature drinks, open bar, passed champagne, an unbelievable cocktail hour with more food than you could imagine, and a beautiful selection of entrees. The food was served hot to every guest and the portion size was plentiful. Guests were absolutely raving about the cocktail hour and the dinner. They served my husband and I a huge display of everything from cocktail hour up in the bridal suite so we could enjoy some time together after the ceremony. During dinner, my husband and I were served one of each entree as well. The bartenders on staff were clearly knowledgeable and experienced. They were quick with making drinks and super personable. Now for the stars of the show - My bridal attendant Shaye and our Maitre’D Charles. I have never met such hardworking and dedicated people. They were so on top of their game I felt like I didn’t even have to think for myself. Shaye curled and recurled my hair several times and always had my lip gloss ready for reapplication. She tightened the straps of my dress, helped with the bustle, helped me get my shoes on and off, took pictures, fluffed my dress and was basically by my side for the entire night. My drink was always full, my perfume was always fresh, my lips always glossy. More than that, she was so nice,supportive and encouraging. I didn’t have an ounce of nerves before the ceremony or reception. She kept saying how much she loved my family and bridal party - how supportive and happy they were for my husband and I - how much fun she was having while she was working with us (at the end of the night I was like you’re literally my best friend do you want to hangout next weekend? lol). I was just so comfortable while she was helping me and she just made me feel like everything was running perfectly all night. Shaye is an absolute star and a dream to work with. (Shaye if you see this I LOVE YOU GIRL) CHARLES!!! Charles was AMAZING and ON POINT!!! From our first meeting with bringing decorations to the day of the wedding - he knew what I needed before I did and it was already done before I could even think about it. He completely understood my vision for all the decor I brought in and he absolutely nailed it. We brought in A LOT of decor and everything was displayed beautifully and packed up PERFECTLY. He kept the pacing of all of the events on a perfect schedule and reassured me more than once that everything was going according to plan. We made our timeline with him and he helped set up our schedule so we could fully take advantage of dancing time. I felt SO secure with him by my side. He was so professional, so friendly and SO hard working. He did not miss a beat. What I loved most was that throughout the whole day, nothing felt rushed - and I credit that completely to Charles for being the king of the timeline and scheduling. Everything was absolutely perfect thanks to him, Shaye, Donna and Cynthia. They made the most amazing team. I can’t say enough good things about them. From the time we booked them to the very end of the wedding - I knew we booked the right place with the best staff. Please have your wedding here. The best day of my life.

We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for everything Water's Edge did to make our wedding day so special. From the beautiful venue to the exceptional service, every detail exceeded our expectations. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made the entire experience, from the moment we signed our contract to our last dance, stress-free and truly unforgettable. The food was absolutely incredible! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was and how much variety there was to choose from. Cocktail hour was to die for and having the 15 minutes to ourselves after our ceremony to decompress, spend time together and have our own spread of all of cocktail hour food was so special. A special shout-out to Charles and Shaye, we are so grateful for their hard work and dedication throughout the night. Shaye was beyond amazing: professional, personable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone all worked tirelessly to ensure no detail was overlooked and everything was just as we imagined. Where do I start. Venue shopping at my daughter’s favorite spots and then 1 more appointment she didn’t want to go to. We went. Best decision ever. The venue itself is the most beautiful place that offers an overwhelming sense of calm and expectation. The expert staff almost read our minds. The detail they put into our event was priceless. We had THE BEST EXPERIENCE and the feedback we are getting from our guests is that it was the best wedding they have been to. The ROI is unbeatable. Exquisite and perfect and beautiful. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The food; people cannot stop raving about. The service leading up to and the day of…impeccable. Cynthia, Charles and Shay..and everyone else who was on staff 8/15/25…THANK YOU. You all made my daughter’s wedding unforgettable in the best ways possible. ❤️

Water's Edge was absolutely incredible venue to photograph at. The grounds are beautiful and modern and there was so many options for photos. The staff was also really amazing and the food top notch. We had such a great time and hope to be back soon!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. You will see the word amazing many times throughout my review. From the minute you walk in, you know this place is special. The modern, clean white decor and beautiful windows overlooking the water give the place a welcoming elegant feel. We met with Cynthia who gave us the tour of the venue. One of my favorite things about this place is when you book it, the entire place is yours. Every part of your event is held in a different room and every room is tastefully and modernly decorated. Cynthia went over every detail with us and told us what to expect the day of my daughter's wedding. She gave us a history of the owners and the chef. We were a little nervous about booking because they do not do food tastings and my family is 100% Italian, good cooks who know good food. We booked it anyway because my daughter walked in and said this is the place I want. Cynthia was amazing to deal with, as was Donna. They were honest about everything - even telling us that we were ordering too many extras. They return every call and answer every question. They never make you feel like you are bothering them. As the wedding came closer, we met with Donna to finalize the menu. The bride and groom and many of the guests have gluten allergies or other dietary restrictions. Donna was very patient and went over every menu item to see what we can make gluten free or vegan friendly. She double checked with the chef and they were able to accommodate our specific needs. The day of the wedding, Elmer was the amazing maitre'd. He was right on top of everything and made sure everything was perfect, ran smoothly and to our liking. During the cocktail hour he asked me many times if I was satisfied. He had everything (the favors, the seating chart, etc) perfectly displayed. The foods at the cocktail hour were properly labeled so anyone with a food allergy knew what they could or couldn't have. The entire wait staff was amazing and attentive. Before I get to the food, I have to mention the bridal attendant, Shea. She was absolutely amazing. There is no way there is only one of her lol. I am still trying to figure out how she was meeting all of my daughters needs, my needs and my daughter's mother-in-law's needs even though we were sitting at three different locations. Somehow all three of us always had a fresh drink and our food was covered every time we were called for a picture or something. I cannot praise Shea enough. Cynthia told us that the bridal attendants are amazing - and she did not lie. Now for the food. Every single person who I spoke to during the wedding and after raved about how delicious the food was. Some of my family and friends even called me following the wedding to tell me how much they ate and how elegant the wedding was. There are many "food critics" amongst my family and they were all blown away at how much food there was at the cocktail hour and how delicious everything tasted. So many people told me they ate so much at the cocktail hour they didn't think they would have room for dinner and dessert, but when they came, it was too good not to eat. As I mentioned earlier Waters Edge does not do food tastings but their reputation speaks for itself. You can book this place knowing that your guests will walk away stuffed with great tasting food. I want to thank Cynthia, Donna, Elmer and Shea for making my daughter and son-in-law's wedding everything we all ever dreamed of. FIVE STARS AND TWO THUMBS UP for this venue and the staff.

10/10!! From the gorgeous venue, to the amazing service, great food and everything in between, I cannot say enough about Water’s Edge!! So many of our guests tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and rave about how good the food was! The venue itself is so pretty that you don’t need to go crazy at all on decor. Huge shoutout to Shaye and Luis for making the night go perfectly and smoothly - they really go above and beyond to make sure everything is exactly as you want it throughout the whole night. We had the best day ever all thanks to Water’s Edge!!

I cannot say enough good things about Water's Edge. Beginning from the first time I reached out, Cynthia was responsive, professional, helpful and so personable. She made us feel at ease and was clearly experienced and knowledgable about all things wedding planning. The venue is breathtaking. It's clean, new, classy and elegant. It was exactly what we were looking for, from the waterside gorgeous outdoor area to the sparkling, elegant ballroom. The staff on our wedding day, especially Charles and Shaye, were INCREDIBLE. Helped with every need, kept the day moving smoothly and made sure we felt comfortable and at ease. The food was AMAZING, no exaggeration. I was a bit nervous because they don't do tastings but it was easily the best food I've ever had at a wedding. Everything they did was just above and beyond, and truly spectacular. They made our day a complete dream and I wish I could relive it over and over. Our guests also can't stop talking about how amazing everything was. If you're considering Water's Edge, I'd say look no further. This is your spot and you won't regret it!

Water’s Edge is a beautiful venue; we absolutely love shooting weddings here. The outdoors with its amazing landscape, combined with a classic building design, makes for stunning portraits. The view of the water also adds a magical touch to the photos. The indoor is also gorgeously decorated; the elegant interior makes the perfect backdrops for pictures. Especially, the high ceilings in the ballroom create some amazing reception shots. Every time, the photos turn out beautiful! Here are some our favorites:

Water's Edge is located in Centerport and about 50 minutes from New York City. I was stunned by the beauty of this venue on a prime waterfront space of Long Island. It is elegant, luxurious with a Gatsby style charm. They only cater one wedding at a time in this huge space. Wedding ceremony was at 7:00 pm. Cocktail hours (open bar) from 7:30-8:30 pm with raw bar, meat carving stations, pasta, cocktail shrimps and so much food. I was pretty full from the hors d'oeuvres. 8:30-12:30 am was dinner and dancing! Bruschetta and Prosciutto for appetizer and fish or steak for dinner. I'll be honest that I can't remember what it taste like because I was busy at the open bar and the dance floor. I remembered that it was good. Needless to say - I had the most fabulous time. It was an awesome wedding. Exceptional service and venue!

The most stunning wedding venue that just came about in long island! Oh my! The design is absolutely stunning but most importantly the food is remarkable! Especially for cocktail hour, all options hit the nail on the head. The venue speaks for itself, i mean look at it. The staff were on point and my friends had the most amazing wedding! I highly recommend them to all!

The Food!!!! as others have said, plan on having dinner afterward. The place is so tastefully decorated and the view is amazing. The food is barely edible.

Went to a wedding here this past weekend. The venue was beautiful. Very modern with beautiful accents. I loved that it was right on the water. Cocktail hour had an amazing spread of food and a good amount of tables and chairs so you could put your food down while you have a drink. Upstairs in the ballroom there was a lot of room. I did find the dance floor a bit small for the amount of people in attendance which made it difficult to get to the other side to the bathrooms. The filet was cooked perfectly and the other food was tasty too. Loved the dessert assortment as well as the coffee bar. The bartenders throughout the night were a bit slow but they accommodated any drink requests well. It looked quite expensive but was a fun night.

i am the most demanding, hard to please person on earth. The team, staff and venue are WORLD CLASS. Our daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect, not a single guest said nothing but amazing things about the food, the service, the execution of every detail. My daughter had a "sky is the limit" budget and chose W/E. I was skeptical at first, but there wasn't one single thing that we weren't delighted with. special thank to Charles, Damesha, Cynthia, Elmer, Shay and Kevin, for making this momentous event, simply Epic. Value, quality and unmitigated service... although reasonable, I would book there again, regardless. Bravo, Team Water's Edge!!!!

I had my wedding at Water's Edge on Thursday and it was the wedding of my dreams. The venue was outstanding, we had our ceremony on sight at 6:30pm and said "I do" as the sun was setting on the water. The cocktail hour was beyond incredible with everyone loading up 4-5 plates worth of food and then going back for more. The reception was amazing as well. All would not be possible if it wasn't for our maître D Louis and bridal attendant Shay. They treated my (now) husband and I with such respect and attentiveness; we felt like celebrities. When picking up my things the next day, everything was packaged up exactly as I gave it to them the night prior. Water's Edge goes above and beyond for their clients. I would 1000% recommend having your wedding here! Thank you to all!!!!

I don't know where to begin to describe the phenomenal experience we shared with our 150 guests at our son/daughter in law wedding at Waters Edge last week. The venue and especially the staff, their attentive service and the food, far exceeded our expectations and even our dreams. Luis, the maitre'd is the epitome of elegance and efficiency. He clearly has a wealth of experience that enabled him to execute our elaborate affair with grace, precision and ease. Always with a friendly smile and with an abundance of humility, he was the master of ceremonies, the know it all and the take charge guy who left no detail unattended. He calmed our pre-wedding jitters in the hour prior to the ceremony and treated the bride and groom like royalty. Shea, the bridal attendant, was the fairy god-sister who attended to the bride like a lady in waiting. She responded to all our needs, even needs we did not know we had! Her smiling face, enthusiasm and energy supported all the girls from start (5pm) to finish (almost 1am). I am so impressed with her grace and ease in executing a very difficult and often demanding job. The food was so abundant and beyond compare. So delicious and beautifully presented from cocktail hour to the components at dinner. As the mother of the groom, I only wish I had more time to enjoy cocktail hour but I know our guests certainly did! We have been receiving rave reviews from guests ever since. The staff even thought of preparing for the bride and groom and their families trays of left overs from the extravagant cocktail hour as well as from the exit dessert station --an incredible array of pastries, petit fours and cookies. That exit station was a fabulous and memorable way to leave the wedding that no one wanted to end. The bartenders were so friendly and shared in everyone's excitement. You'd think they were guests themselves with how well they schmoozed with guests. Those cocktails were delicious and were prepared so quickly. Impressive. Even the dining room staff was so friendly. The venue is so gorgeous, glamorous and wonderfully represents Long Island's great North Shore Gold Coast. I can't say enough great things about this venue and I am SO GRATEFUL it was chosen for our son's wedding. Wish I could relive it all again. Maybe one day with another son or daughter!

Had my heart set on this venue. I looked at the pictures online and wanted to go and see it. I called 3 times and couldn't speak to whoever was booking the appointments. There was always a promise that she would call me back later but I never got a call. When I did speak to someone they asked how many guests I was planning to have. I said around 200 people. She said "oh well that's our minimum..." she was rude acting as if my wedding was too small to have there. Even had my fiancé call and he left a message and no response a week later. Take your business somewhere else where they appreciate your business and are willing to bend over backwards for you and not act like it's a chore.

I just got married here this past weekend and oh my god it was AMAZING!!! All of our guests were amazed at the beauty and elegance of the venue. During the planning process the team at Water's Edge went through every detail with us and they were open to our 'personal touch' suggestions as well! The night of our wedding our maitre d', Charles, constantly checked up on us and ensured our night was going exactly as planned. He even did things like turning up the air conditioning when I told him I was sweating from dancing! We received endless compliments from our guests about how delicious and plentiful the food was! All we have been hearing from our guests is how our wedding was the most fun and amazing wedding they have been to! It was a day my husband and I will never forget! Thank you, Water's Edge!

Just leaving a review if you are going here for a choice in wedding venue. My daughter and her Fiancé went here to look and get pricing. The young woman was not at all accommodating. She asked to see my daughters ring a sparkling beautiful 2 carat ring and looking at it throughly very rude. After this, she went through the venue very quickly rushing through everything. It just makes me wonder why would a beautiful venue have a person handling their events who is not nice and welcoming. They loved the venue but if this is how your event planner acts it does nothing for your business but have people thinking why have your special event there. I hope you realize in any business clients like to feel welcomed. There are so many venues but what stands out is how you are treated when you walk in. First impressions are what makes a business. Your event planner ruined that.

Food, service and drinks were awesome. DJ essentially plugged his phone into the speakers and disappeared - didn't see him after the first 20 minutes or so. The layout of the place was a bit odd - the location of the restrooms required everyone to walk through someone else's event.

Jonathan B is an professional and he is an asset to waters Edge! He is kind considerate and sensitive. Every nursing care/rehab facility should be fortunate to have an employee like Jonathan B!

Let's start witht the venue itself: They really did a nice job on the rebuild of this building. It was lovely; warm and welcoming. The staff at all levels; truely professional and friendly. The food, sucked. From the tasteles mac and cheese to the cold congeled lamb chops to the frozen and rethawed shrimp, etc.... I still haven't figured out why they asked how we wanted the steak prepared. I wanted mine rare, got shoe leather. I was hoping for it to be better as I was hungry after the poor appetizers, the watery sad salad and the crab? cake that was soggy bread that had some alleged crab in it. 11 of the 12 people at our table took one to two bites of each and tossed the rest. Similar results from the tables nearby. Overall, the reception was nice; the venue speaks for itself, and the staff was great. Just plan on eating somewhere else after the event.

I just had my wedding here on April 1st 2023. And I have to say it was truly amazing. From the very beginning the staff has been soooo helpful. My wedding Coordinator Samantha was always in contact and so accommodating. She helped me a lot in the months leading up to the wedding, in terms of having checklists, dealing with payments, and asked me all the right questions that I didn't even think of. Then there is the Maître D, Luis, who was nothing short of spectacular. He cares! He was so understanding and thorough with our meeting prior to the wedding. He went through every detail and brought it to life the day of the wedding. There were no hiccups during the wedding, and if there was, it was probably because the staff handled everything so well. Luis was always attentive, on the mark with all the details, always checked in with me and my groom. Luis, Thank you so much for helping me and my husband on our wedding day, everything was so spectacular and memorable. But it wasn't just the service, it was the warmth and care that I genuinely felt from him and his staff. My bridal attendant, Shay, was amazing as well. She was so attentive and always made sure me and my bridesmaids and family were comfortable and had everything they needed. Food was great! everyone raved about the porkchops. The bar staff was superb. cocktail hour was beautiful. OVERALL a 10/10! seriously don't hesitate to book your special day here. Plus the view will simply take your breath away.

We just held my daughter's bridal shower there and I can't say enough about the site, the food, the service and the take-your-breath-away ambience. Additionally, the personnel were equally impressive--from my first look-see to the post-party thoughtfulness when Charles (the Maitre 'd) saved the custom cake topper after we forgot to take it (he had it waiting for us--cleaned and bubble-wrapped--when my husband went back hours later). Staff personnel Cynthia, D'Amisha and Charles were professional, accommodating, and unspeakably tolerant (not to mention kind) regarding my manic, last-minute stress in pulling everything together. As my guests gushed over every detail of the venue and menu, they said "Why isn't she having her wedding HERE?" (For the record, she's having a destination wedding so it wan't an option). I've hosted hundreds of celebrations over the course of two marriages and two daughters and, to me, the difference between "good" and "great" lies in the staff who makes you feel welcome and indulged. While I've always loved this site (the old Thatched Cottage has a special place in the hearts of many Long Islanders), I can't imagine a better homage to its legacy than the natural beauty and mind-blowing elegance of Water's Edge. Long may it endure to host future generations of happy, satisfied revelers.

It's pretty.. but over done with the white! Besides that the food was horrible especially for the price your paying! It's ridiculous for the amount the charge per plate I under stand you need to make money especially after the renovations but if your going to be expensive at least have great food. The food was cold. Under cooked tasteless. We less than impressed! I would run if your looking to book here!

Had my wedding here!! Everything was incredible. All the guests raved about the food! The place is beautiful and the staff is amazing!

A beautiful place but that's about it ! Beware !!! Promised the moon and the stars but. No follow through! Had my granddaughters communion this sat afternoon 4/30/22. What a mess. Spent $7000.00 on extras. Cocktail hour and dessert table. It was so skimpy and not even out a half hour that included the passing of Orderves that was two trays with two servers passed out for 100 people ?? Service was terrible. Tables where dirty dishes left on tables for an hour ! I had to get the servers to clean it off. Staff had an attitude and then tried to charge us for two bartenders which was in contract when only one was there. So many things promised and just not followed through. Even told us we were upgrading so much food that they were giving us an extra half hour ! Guess the extra half hour was part of the hour and a half we waited for dinner after rushing the cocktail hour and never refilling a chaffing dish. So cheesy and cheap with the food , what if we didn't upgrade what would we have eaten??? Upgrades. We're totally ignored. So disappointed !

I'm not really sure where to start, from my initial interaction with the event planner it was nothing but issues. If my sister's heart wasn't set on having her bridal shower here, I would have absolutely taken my business else where. From a mix up with the date and no one at the catering hall catching it it (I booked 11months in advance), to all the back and fourth after that making sure all my i's were dotted and t's were crossed, they were not accommodating in the least. They make you pay in full 2 weeks before the shower which is a bit much for a bridal shower, even though their contract states, "payment is due in full 2 weeks prior to event unless other arrangements are made prior to event," when I was not happy and inquired about other payment option in light of all mishaps that transpired I was told there is nothing we can do. Then why include that line in your contract if there is no room for discussion? In this day and age to pay in full for a party is a bit ridiculous, I had someone cancel due to a positive COVID result and they still charged me for them! I had 7 people cancel once I gave them a final head count and then the day of the party they still tried to charge me for an extra person! Be sure to ask for an itemized bill and check it over with a fine tooth comb! I will never have another event here and I will be telling everyone I speak with about the terrible experience I had while planning this shower. I would think being a fairly new business they would want to ensure amazing customer service to obtain glowing recommendations and increase word of mouth, especially considering the Northport/Centerport area is such a tight-knit community. Would absolutely recommend taking your business else wear! Never again save your money, time and aggravation, hold your event at another venue.
