"Water’s End Brewery (525 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg) is planning a 19,000-square-foot downtown Fredericksburg brewery with room for a taproom, restaurant, dance floor, two bars, and an owner’s suite, and no opening date has been set." - Stephanie Carter

Really enjoyed Water's End. It is casual and beautiful with a great mix of people from families, groups, couples and friends. The banquet style room is so perfect if you need an event location. The beer is good! There are soft drinks as well. Didn't try the food from chicken and waffles but it looked good and it was definitely enjoyed by those around me. Will definitely be going back. Staff works hard to keep the place clean and service was great.

Beautiful and historic property that makes you feel welcome and relaxed. The beer is terrific and I love the new offerings for October on the food menu. I highly recommend the beer brat served in a pretzel bun. Loved the Don’t Haze Me, Westridge, and Burton Ale Grand Cru. The venue is amazing and it’s located near parking and other downtown restaurants.

This is the newest microbrewery in Fredericksburg and I expect once they're fully up and operational it will easily be a five star review. Eventually there's going to be food (chicken), but right now just the brewery is in operation. They do have a good balance of brews available with a total of 7 on tap. That have IPAs, golden ale, wheat, and one stout when I visited. They do sell flights of 3 so it's pretty easy to try them all. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the brews with a couple of standouts. Specifically the Trip to Tahiti and The Stout. They have a great venue in the old Elks Lodge in downtown Fredericksburg. 8/26/2022: Unfortunately they have less brews available (no stouts or brown), but on the bright side the restaurant should be open at the end of the month. 11/5/2022: We'll still no restaurant, but good veterans day special and some new brews 3/32/2023:. I'm pretty late but now they have Hot Chicken Kitchen and the food I s great. I was going to raise this review to 5 stars, they're playing CNN on both TVs so can't do it.

Probably the fanciest brewery space I've ever visited, and I've visited a lot of breweries. Historic spot in downtown Fredericksburg, with decor to prove it. But the important thing is that the beer is good, with several styles to choose from. If there is a downside, it's that the tasting flight only allows for three beers.

Delicious beer at a beautiful historic location. What a great use of the Square! Highly recommend their beer and the fact that they have a good selection of wine too.

Bartender was very nice and it was very refreshing to stop on a warm day and get a great cold beer. We really liked our selections. The options are a bit limited but the ones they have are top quality.

Waters End is in a great venue in Fredericksburg Square (the building with the columns). Like many micro breweries these days, they tend to lean heavy on the IPAs and ciders. The 1854 is a very drinkable lager. Unlike many breweries, the food is not in a food truck out side. The hot chicken kitchen is also in the square and has a pretty good selection of bar food. The base cayenne sauce is recommended.
