Coffee was so delicious. My daughter never really finished hot chocolate and she was done with in less then 5 min. I absolutely loved my dirty hippy drink. And sitting outside to a beautiful view made it that much better.

Great coffee and great service. There are tasty sweet treats to go with your coffee as well. There is a good selection of whole bean coffee you can buy as well. I was personally happy to see Sumatra beans that I really enjoy! There is a big garden at the back with great views, which you can enjoy during sunny days. The indoor space is small but cozy.

If I lived in Bend, I would be here daily. Friendly staff, lots of drink and food options, fairly priced (IMO) and just the BEST backyard seating on the river. So sad I didn’t discover until my last day in Bend.

I had the Bees Knees with almond milk and an almond croissant! It was soooo great! Best cup of coffee and pastry I have had in a long time.

Is this...heaven? No, it's a just a coffee shop. But tell that to the birds and trees and views of the river and park. This was our first time visiting and it has definitely left a mark. The shop is cute and, when the weather is nice, the backyard is pretty amazing. The coffee was great as well! We had the Velvet Elvis (white chocolate and caramel) and it was heavenly as well.

Stopped by for a morning latte and a walk around Drake Park. I accidentally dropped my card behind their counter during peak times and the girls were so kind about the whole thing and worked together to find my card behind their counter and equipment. They worked hard to find it. I couldn’t appreciate them enough. Service was great. Coffee was great! Thank you ladies!!!!

This might be the most beautiful coffee shop I have ever been. It has a huge backyard by the river and a lot of indoor seating too. It serves fresh baked items from Sparrow bakery. We got dirty hippie, oat cappuccino and a poblano sandwich from sparrow. Both the coffee orders were immaculate and crisp. The sandwich was phenomenal. We might just come to Bend again for this coffee shop and glad we could visit.

Awesome views from the outside eating area and decent coffee. The dogs loved the backyard views of the water. Nice place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.

After living in Bend for a year and half I finally got to try Watershed Coffee Roasters (formerly Looney Bean), and I must say, I wish I would have tried them sooner! The ambiance is perfect, it is in what looks somewhat like a cabin so the feel inside during the Fall and Winter is absolutely amazing. Not only that, but they also have a great outdoor area right on the river for those good Fall days and Summers.. just a perfect ambiance for all the wonderful Bend seasons. Even better than the ambiance is the coffee though. Very quality coffee and the baristas all seem to know what they're doing (been there multiple times after trying it a few weeks back). Not only is it extremely good quality coffee, but prices are really reasonable for Bend.. especially downtown Bend. The only thing I dislike is I will say I liked the former name much better, but that's ok it won't keep me away ;) . I'll definitely be frequenting Watershed much more now that I've been able to discover it on my own. I suggest anyone around does as well!

Great coffee and ambiance. Their outdoor garden area is right on the river making it a great place to unwind and chat. Also have excellent Ocean Roll pastries. If you go late Wednesday mornings you can also enjoy a phenomenal farmers market right outside their cafe.

Great local spot down by the river. It's a little oasis inside from winter weather or a hangout on the back lawn during summer months. Operating out of a craftsman style mill house, the vibes are quintessentially Old Town Bend.

Stopped in for a coffee on Saturday morning and was great by a very friendly barista!! Kiara was very sweet and quickly took our order. The killer bee was one of the best coffees I've had in awhile and sipping it out back by the river was a vibe! Wish we were local so that I could visit more often!

Looney Bean Bend is an absolute find. We loved the riverside vibes and a laid-back atmosphere that screams 'chill.' We stopped by for the first time and couldn't resist the Dirty Hippie and Velvet Elvis--each sip was delicious. Pair that with an almond croissant and some velvety banana bread, and you've got a sweet symphony of flavors that's hard to beat. Afterward, we strolled along the river, soaking in the scenery If you're looking to caffeinate in style -this is the stop! Staff: Great service.

Who is out here giving this place less than 5 stars? Seriously this was one of my favorite places in all of Bend. Not only were the smoothies fantastic, and the sweets were good, but the backyard area with a direct line to the water makes you feel like you're in a private garden or at the back yard of your rich aunts. Seriously, I love bend and I love this coffee place. The service was quick and theres tons of places to sit. Even with how stunning the backyard space is we were able to find a table no problem. It was a great way to relax between a bit of shopping down town and its a bit tucked a way so it really feels like a find. Would definitely come back here every time I'm in town.

loved the coffee here. really cool vibe throughout the place and wonderful outdoor area right on the river. several amazing gluten free pastries to pick from. I had a wonderful maple donut. lots of dogs out back which was incredible.

This spot was GREAT! Right on the water, friendly service, and great coffee! The gluten free donuts are dangerous (what I'm eating in my profile pic!) and I'll be back again and again and again! Cool outside seating, inside seating, or take a stroll along the River.

Great coffee, great food, and great atmosphere! Ample seating (indoor & outdoor) and very friendly staff. Ocean Roll was amazing. Breakfast Burrito with the spicy sour cream was also very good (and this is coming from someone who doesn't like eggs)!

The best patio of any coffee shop I know of in the area. It's right on the river! Staff are always great, drinks are always tasty. This place is a solid winner in my books.

THE BEST COFFEEHOUSE EVER!!! Oh why can't you be in SoCal instead...lol? Had the Dirty Hippie and an Ocean Roll. The drink was Amazing! The roll Sooooo good, soft and tasty. Vanilla and Cardamom...yummm! The view of the river out in the grass area out back and bring your dogs!

Visited for the first time today. Absolutely loved the patio area. Very dog friendly and plenty of seating. My chai was delicious and pastry was good as well. Prices were normal. I will absolutely be coming back.

Great space and outdoor area. It's a place that I would say we went to and would tell friends to check out. I got an iced vanilla latte and breakfast burrito. The latte used tiny little ice pellets (closer to slushy ice, not sonic) and it really watered it down. The breakfast burrito was a little bland and wasn't all that big. Probably good size for the price. Overall, it is a solid place all around and is worth going to and seeing if you like it.

Good food. Good coffee. Great view. Great customer service. Me and some friends came here during our girls trip, ordered coffee and breakfast and sat outside looking at the river and playing a game. It was the perfect way to start the day. Conveniently located next to a parking lot and downtown for whatever is next on your day agenda.

I LOVE the dirty hippy (dirty chai). I've had it hot and iced, and it's my favorite dirty chai that I've ever had. It sets the bar for all other dirty chais that I get. If you like whipped cream, try the espresso whipped cream. So good. They have a great outdoor area (dogs allowed) right on the river for you to enjoy your drink if the weather allows. They also have an indoor area. I loveeeee this cafe.

This place has very good coffee. They make great coffee drinks, and the plan coffee is also nice. The syrups they use are mainly Torani brand and Guerredelli brand. The decaf coffee is also flavorful. We also enjoyed the COCC cookie. We've had it a couple times and it's quite addictive. It contains chocolate, oatmeal, cranberry, and coconut. The cookies are huge too! What's better than a cookie? MORE cookie! The cookie is large enough to share. As for service, they are very good. They did make one small mistake with one of our orders, however so did I when ordering (we're all human right)... well if you're like me with how much sugar you like in your cappuccino, you might be part hummingbird as well... Anyway, it's a lovely coffee shop with a beautiful view in the back and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I certainly recommend this place.

I ordered the Pumpkin Pie Dirty Hippie and it was so delicious and beautifully made! I dig this tucked away gem coffee shop right next to Pine Tavern. It has an awesome outside area to sit by the water as well. Friendly baristas were super helpful in customizing my drink with fancy espresso whip. Will be back for sure during my next DT Bend shopping excursion!

If you want delicious coffee in Bend then this is the place to go. I got the Carmelicious and it was delicious. Cute coffee shop, dog friendly, and a great outdoor garden area to sit and enjoy your coffee. I will definitely come back here if I'm in the area again!

Great coffee shop in downtown Bend, right by the river with an amazing view. There is indoor & outdoor seating available and it's a great place to get some work done or a coffee date. I love the specialty drinks like the carmelicious, dirty hippie, bees knees, etc. The coffee is amazing, I love the espresso whipped cream! Also this is a great place to get an ocean roll and it pairs so well with coffee.

Best views, great employees, and great coffee as well as presentation. The chai was the best that I have ever had.

I had the "Velvet Elvis" (fancy for white chocolate mocha). It was smooth, rich, and balanced itself perfectly on the seasae for warm enough and too hot. Price perfect. The service was a sincerely smile and and relaxed expedited delivery. The place is quaint. Order in and relax around the corner of the modest merchant stand or take out for a stroll around the old town shops and eateries. I would return if downtown again.

I stumbled on this coffee shop during a visit to Bend and had a great experience here! The staff were all so kind and friendly. I arrived near closing time and they let me know I could enjoy the backyard after they had closed, which was very sweet. I ordered a Huckleberry Italian Soda, which was $5.50 for a 20 ounce. I waited (what felt like) a very long time--probably around 12 minutes--for this drink, even though there were only 2 people in front of me. This is not a place I would choose if I were in a hurry! Luckily, the only thing pulling me was the Looney Bean's gorgeous back yard and the view of the river. The back yard is huge, with plenty of seating and river views. When I visited (a Sunday afternoon), the neighboring Pine Street Tavern had live music on their back patio, so I enjoyed mellow hits of the 70s and 80s while sipping my soda. If I lived in Bend, this coffee shop would be my go-to hang out/remote work spot.

Bend has no shortage of great coffee shops, but Looney Bean has to be one of the cutest! Did I come here mostly because my sister has a dog named Looney? Absolutely. But one sip of my pumpkin pie dirty hippie and I was hooked! I love that they use actual pumpkin purée in their drinks, and the pumpkin+chai+espresso was heavenly. I also had the killer bee, with honey and cinnamon and the perfect amount of cayenne to warm you up! I also shared a red pepper and feta croissant, which was very tasty. They have cozy seating inside as well as a roomy outdoor seating area next to the water. Like most places in Bend, dogs are welcome outside!

We've been here every time we go to bend. I've never had a bad cup of coffee here. Cute ambiance, quick service

This is the spot for great coffee! Service was friendly and fast. There is seating inside and outside. They have all the milk options and even had an expresso flavored whip topping which was delicious! Location is great especially if you want to grab a coffee and walk around near the water.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am always searching for the best coffee on this planet. I have tried a few coffee trucks and shops in the Bend area during my visit. I searched for good reviews but I have been disappointed it's become a running joke- here I am in the coffee corner of the US and I can't find a good coffee. Watered down, flavorless and cold coffee so far. I literally drove to a Starbucks just to get a coffee. Which is annoying. Until.,.,drum roll..Looney Bean. Not only is it warm, cozy and quaint but the coffee was one of the best I have had, including the dreamy drip in London. I opted for the Guatemalan black with a dash of cinnamon. So so good. The views are magical and they have a backyard to sit or play. While I was there a snowball fight was the excitement. It's not just a kitschy spot it's a legit coffee house/cabin. Go here and skip the others.

I love coming here whenever I visit Bend. The Dirty Hippie (chai latte w/espresso) is my fav! The employees are really nice andThere's seating outside next to the river. The outdoor area is dog friendly, they just need to stay on leash.

This hole in the wall coffee shop is super cute! The drinks are delicious (I'm not a coffee drinker, but the rest of my group is)and we ended up going daily. I had the Green Monkey (matcha, banana, milk of choice) and the other drinks purchased were chia with expresso and bees knees. I also highly recommend their bacon, egg, cheese and pesto aioli, super amazing! The service is very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. They can get busy and parking can be difficult to find in the area but sooooo worth it.

Came here based on our airbnb host's recommendation and glad we stopped by. Arrived at opening on a Saturday (7am). Service was friendly and quick. Decently priced coffee. Husband and I ordered coffee and an ocean roll each (can be warmed and highly suggest). I ordered a Bee's Knee (honey and cinnamon latte) and husband ordered a Caramelicious ( carmel vanilla latte), both delicious. Indoor and large outdoor seating. Dogs welcome.

Delicious coffee and love the plant based products... but would love to see the plant based milk surcharge removed! Costs almost $2 extra for alternative milk!

Cozy little hole in the wall. Me and a friend managed to come in at the exact right time to snag a table. I had a latte and the poblano goat cheese breakfast sandwich and they were both delicious.

Even though the service is insanely slow, the riverfront outdoor area is amazing. In fact, Looney Bean gets two stars just for the location. Sadly, that means only two stars for the remainder of the experience. The coffee is fair (aka, an improvement on Starbucks), but the service is sloth like, and "special" orders (think "no foam") are beyond the capacity of the baristas (two days in a row). That being said, there are few places to enjoy a cup of Joe with a view like Looney Bean!

First sip of the Killer Bee ... whew took me aback for a second but after the bold introduction woke me up the remaining Cheyenne honey drink was a treat.

I love this place. The drinks are amazing! The people who work there are so nice. Sitting outside with a cup of coffee is one of my favorite things to do. Don't forget the espresso whip cream! It's my favorite coffee shop.

Excellent coffee and the baristas have an unmatched sense of friendliness and kindness. There was a problem with someone else's order (it wasn't even their fault in any way) and they were not only kind to the person but made it up to them in more than one way. That barista made my heart happy and for that, I'll be a customer for life.

Hey YELPMISTERS, This is hands down my favorite downtown Bend coffee hangout all year round and especially in the warmer months as the outdoor seating is spectacular on the Deschutes river, Drake Pond. Tables, chairs, and a large lawn area. Kind of a hangover heaven for those who need it !!! Coffee: Excellent care in all espresso drinks, good beans, and fast. Location: Pretty good old school Bend, inside and out. If you get there off peak or tourist hours, you can find a spot for your coffee and laptop. Nothing fancy or modern, just comfortable. Food: Not really sure but they have enough pastries and other stuff to chow on. I don't order much other than cappuccino or a Dirty Hippie with an occasional scone. Service & Staff: Excellent, happy, friendly, and full of fun. Price: Very reasonable considering the location and the amount of staff on hand to provide great service. Check it out 5 STAR for sure.

Looney Bean is tops for location location location! Right on the river with patio seating and a beautiful inviting lawn. Good cold brew. A bit watered down so only 4 stars. I was surprised by this since they roast their own beans. A splash of hemp milk added some flavor. Lady with long dark hair was not very welcoming or engaging but oh well. She was prompt with my order and I was in my way out the back for to enjoy the sunshine. Cute interior with plenty of seating if weather needs to keep you inside. So many coffeehouses in town so hard to choose. Maybe not my fav cold brew in awhile but that location...
