Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week | Eater LA

"I was surprised by a parsnip and sweet potato soup that felt like fall in a bowl: creamy, drizzled with pumpkin seed oil, punctuated with bee pollen, and topped with a honeycomb tuile — a memorable, refined soup served in a family-friendly fine-dining setting with stellar service." - Eater Staff

I really loved my experience at Watertable. Yes, there was a bit of a long wait to be served, but honestly, the moment everything arrived, I completely forgot about it. The view is stunning, the waiters are super friendly, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Once the meal started, everything felt perfect — great atmosphere, great service, and dishes that genuinely stand out. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food with an even better vibe!

We stopped by for breakfast here after we had a not so great breakfast experience at a nearby hotel we were staying at. The food was amazing. We were seated quickly within five minutes. We elected to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. Our children absolutely loved the Dubai chocolate waffles. I ordered the lox bagel and the lavender latte (amazing!), and my husband went with a more traditional breakfast, which she said was really good. The establishment itself is beautiful. There is indoor and outdoor seating a beautiful bar and a lounge area. I would definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast if you’re in the area. If the weather permits, sit outside!

The food is so flavorful and delicious! Loved the garden benedict - ordered it most of the time when we stayed at the Hyatt hotel. The zesty lemon blueberry pancakes were so yum and fluffy! Tried the french toast and smith fresh whole omelette and both were amazing. The service was great!

We dined at this restaurant twice for the breakfast buffet and the food was delicious. I loved the made to order omelettes and the all the items offered were well prepared. The fruit was fresh and sweet. We dined outside and enjoyed the lovely views. The staff here are professional, polite, and courteous. We recommend dining here.

Google
The Short Rib Hash is very good. If you’re looking for breakfast that’s definitely their go to. The SoCa lacked flavor other than Salt. They definitely were heavy handed with the sodium. The Bloody Mary cost as much as the meal and was lack luster. Honestly one of the worst I’ve had. The Pete’s coffee that was suggested by the server wasn’t anything special either. Overall if you’re going, stick to the short rib. They seem to be a one trick pony.

Google
Totally recommend eating on the patio if the weather permits. Breakfast was delicious. The mimosas come in tons of flavors. Very good and not overpowering in the flavor.

Google
I wanted the food to taste as good as the atmosphere and location was. We stayed at the resort and took our kids to dinner here during vacation. The staff was incredible, drinks really good, great ambiance. However the food just left some to be desired. The plating looks delicious but the actual flavors fell flatter than the dynamic look. Maybe more salt or acid or something to bring out some more depth. It also wasn’t just one dish, it was across the board.

Google
The Watertable restaurant at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach is our go to when staying there. The staff is really nice and the food is consistently delicious. We really enjoy sitting inside and outside near a fire pit. Make sure you get your valet ticket validated so the total is only $10. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
We came here for the weekend. Overall a very nice resort with this nice restaurant inside. The wait was about 20-30 minutes. You have the option of sitting inside or outside (with ocean view.) Our server was amazing, thank you Ricardo! He was attentive and very accommodating. He checked on us multiple times even though he was noticeably busy with many other tables. He walked around with a smile and was kind with his words. They have a buffet and individual option menu items. I appreciated that they gave us the option to order menu items since not all of us wanted to commit to buffet. The food options were great with a little bit of everything from savory to sweets, to simple scrambled eggs and omelet options. The restaurant inside is clean and organized. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a sit down breakfast spot. It is very conveniently located inside Huntington Hyatt Regency hotel.

Yelp
I have only had breakfast at watertable, so I can't speak to their dinner, but I'm sure it's delicious. I have eaten here as a guest at the Hyatt and also not as a guest at the Hyatt just going there for brunch. They have a buffet for brunch, which is always a great option especially if you're hungry. I have also ordered off the menu and my favorite thing for brunch is their oatmeal. I know that sounds weird, Someone saying oatmeal is their favorite but this is not your ordinary oatmeal! First off it's huge and you could probably share it with two other people, but it comes out looking beautiful and there are every topping you could imagine for the oatmeal. Definitely worth trying!

Yelp
Conveniently located inside the Hyatt Huntington Beach, Water Table is a winner! Good menu, extensive wine list, and prime spot overlooking the pier. Indoor and outdoor patio seating - we loved it. Server was attentive and friendly. Plus, kids menu's a hit with the little ones (my 3.5 and 7-year-old loved the options!). Great experience overall.

Yelp
We were staying at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach as Globalists and had breakfast included in our stay. Our complimentary value was $32 per person for four people and it was more than enough to satiate our appetites for breakfast. For coffee, we had the: - Lavendar Honey Latte: Really tasty lavender notes. A bit too sweet, but to be expected. I regret not trying Pete's Cup Cappuccino, but will next time! For the benedicts, we had the: - Short Rib Hash: Delicious morsels of short rib that had a fantastic seasoning. They were super tender. - SoCa: The fried chicken had a perfect crunch and the cornbread waffle was super tasty, albeit a little filling. For the kids: - Smores French Toast: Super sweet and the kids loved it but it was messy! - Brûléed Oatmeal: Our son loves oatmeal and demanded to have it. Very pretty oatmeal dish, but way too sweet for our liking. It was fun to eat, though! We decided to try some more stuff for later since we were only staying one night: - Brioche French Toast: It had matcha butter cream this time which was super decadent. - Zesty Lemon-Blueberry Pancakes: The honeycomb butter was a cool addition that piqued our kids interest. All in all a solid breakfast with inventive dishes. While everything was a bit too sweet for our tastes, we still enjoyed it! Also, props to our server for dealing with our large order!

Yelp
We spent a night at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach a few weeks back and had two meals at Watertable. We went for dinner out of sheer convenience, as there were two small children in our party and the restaurant was basically in the lobby. Dinner was much better than it had to be, and we were happy to learn that breakfast, included with our stay, would be in the same place. We had dinner indoors and breakfast on the patio, and both spaces were quite pleasant, though I'd give an edge to the indirect but still lovely ocean view. The interior was attractive, calm, and comfortable. There was a guy playing guitar as Friday night entertainment. He was good and the kids loved him. The vibe was family-friendly but nice, with alcohol. We had a couple bottles of Duckhorn Chardonnay with dinner, and there was also a tempting cocktail list. Service was great at both meals. The food was fantastic. Dinner started with soft tear-apart dinner rolls with butter and salt, and we got a few appetizers for the table, all of them sized for sharing. The creamer potato cakes were satisfying, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, served with truffle dip, snipped chives, and cracked pepper. The whipped ricotta and marinated mushrooms made a substantial, savory spread, with rosemary, Aleppo pepper, confit garlic, thyme, and grilled olive bread. Ahi tuna crudo came with leche de tigre, Aleppo crunch, apple slaw, and orange marmalade. My favorite starter might been a salad: the smashed cucumber salad with arugula, purple watercress, watermelon radish, whipped herb feta, dill honey vinaigrette, and candied pistachios. Lots of crunch and flavor. I shared two entrées with my mom and they were both delicious. The Watertable burger was a definite winner, a juicy beef patty with black garlic aioli, arugula, Emmenthal cheese, crispy pancetta, and tomato jam, served with house cut fries and jalapeño dip. For our second entrée, we went with the "your menu" option, where you pick your own protein, cooking method, sauce, and side. We went with Chilean sea bass sautéed with white butter sauce and a side of roasted golden beats with pistachio romesco, orange gastrique, and beet chips. The kids ate well, too, dining on grilled cheese and chicken tenders. My older boy refused the tomato soup that came with his grilled cheese, which he otherwise devoured. I had some, and it was classic and super tasty. The boys ate chocolate ice cream for dessert while the adults shared a slice of lemon meringue cheesecake with lemon curd, toasted meringue, macerated berries, almond bark, and mixed berry Grand Marnier coulis. Decadent and tangy. Breakfast was excellent, with the added benefit of being complimentary, thanks to my mom's Hyatt status. There was a buffet, but we opted to order from the a la carte menu, which had more appealing options. My mom and I shared this meal, too, getting the lox and bagel and the SoCa Benedict. The lox and bagel was serviceable if not a standout, with dill caper cream cheese, heirloom tomato, lemon oil, avocado relish, tossed arugula, and shaved red onion. The Benedict was superb, with fried chicken, maple slaw, poached eggs, and jalapeño bacon Hollandaise on a dense, buttery cornbread waffle. As for my boys, they absolutely loved their chocolate chip pancakes. A sweet start to my big kid's fifth birthday. We had a lot of fun at the Hyatt Regency and plan to go back for more low-key family trips in the coming years. I'm glad Watertable is such a solid restaurant. It's an easy spot with kid's menus and quality food and drink for grown-ups. I'll bet we hit it a couple times whenever we visit.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience last night. Donna was our server and she was amazing. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive, including the blonde hostess, who let us sit at a larger table even though we were a party of 2 so we wouldn't be all cramped. There was a nice ambiance to the place, not too busy and not empty - 7pm reservation on a Wednesday. Meal starts with complimentary warm bread with sea salt and a side of butter. It did not disappoint and we could have skipped the flatbread. I must premise that I love all things burrata so my eyes immediately went to the burrata and tomato salad. Refreshing and delicious. Chilean sea bass was recommended as the best item on the menu so I went with that and was quite happy with it. I would prefer less mashed potatoes and more grilled veggies but that's just personal preference. I ordered the geisha's blessing that included coconut, gin and strawberry. Small and frothy. Was okay, but nothing exceptional. He ordered Jalisco water which wasn't bad either but I'd probably skip the cocktails. Too full for dessert but beautiful location and great place to walk around afterward to enjoy the scene.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel and wanted to stop in for breakfast. They had a wait time at around 915AM so we waited around 20 minutes to be sat. The system they have going is a bit bizarre in the front. I came up to show the text that we had our table ready and they said they just need to check in someone onto the wait list, but then proceeded to sit the person instead of us, who had been waiting for the text and got sat? All the people who were waiting in the "waiting" list line got sat before we did after we waited double the time. Once we were sat, we decided on the buffet to save time. Some of the items were great but some of the items were pretty bland or meh. The breakfast sausages were great but the bacon was just ok and the omelettes were tiny and had a weird aftertaste. The breakfast breads were dry and there was no French toast or waffles. The donut hole bread pudding was bland as well but I did like the tomato spinach quiche. I wish they were more clear that when you ask for an iced coffee, it's going to be an extra charge on top of the buffet - and its half the size of a Starbucks coffee but for $6.5 each. Overall I would pass on the breakfast here.

Yelp
Only reason this wasn't a 5 star was because service was lacking. Our server was not the quickest or fastest. Always had to find someone to help with something. The food was really delicious and flavorful! We ordered 4 dishes and the BEST was the SoCa!!! It's a must! I also really liked the short ribs as it was a very flavorful dish! Parking is validated and costs $10 for 3 hours!

Yelp
We had a fantastic New Year's Eve dinner and drinks at the Watertable. Aneli was our server. She was so sweet and efficient and made sure we were having a great time. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfect. Mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and bread were excellent. We'll definitely go back many times after our great experience.

Yelp
I love their weekend brunch, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is wonderfully relaxed. Whenever I'm in the area, I'll definitely make a point to visit.

Yelp
I came here again for breakfast and as expected, it took a long time to be seated. However, this time our food was not delivered until we asked the server and it turns out that something had been missed and so we ended up getting out the food when the restaurant was closing. Next time I'm in the area I'll plan on doing Uber eats or walk to a nearby restaurant unless I have ample time to spare.

Yelp
Beautiful Ambiance, But Rude and Unaccommodating Service Ruined the Night We hosted my boyfriend's 40th birthday dinner Sunday November 2nd at Water Table with a party of 18, and while the ambiance was beautiful and a few of the other staff members were helpful, the main waitress completely ruined the experience! 1. She never introduced herself -- we still have no idea what her name was -- and her attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from start to finish. She rarely checked on our table, barely asked for drink refills, and acted visibly irritated any time we made polite requests. If I knew her name I would name drop here right here but again there was no introduction or effort to be personable. I understand people have bad days but that event wasn't the time to express it. 2. The most disappointing moment was when we brought out the birthday cake we provided ourselves. She tried to convince us not to cut it, insisting that the prix fixe menu "already came with dessert." It was obvious she didn't want to deal with cutting or serving it, which was incredibly inconsiderate given the occasion. Throughout the evening, I also caught her making stern faces like she's didn't want to be there times when guests asked for something simple such as drinks as if it was an inconvenience when we are Supposed to be making requests -- an attitude that has no place in a fine dining setting during a mile stone event. We spent over $4,800 (including gratuity) for this event. If gratuity hadn't been automatically included, I would've left only 5%, purely out of politeness for the other employees. But even then they weren't executional either, just not rude, however I'm pretty sure that's the bare minimum at this type of establishment. The ambiance and a few helpful staff members were the only redeeming aspects of the night, but the head waitress's attitude and lack of professionalism overshadowed. For a milestone birthday celebration, this level of service was unacceptable. We won't be returning, and I strongly recommend anyone considering hosting a group event here to think twice the service does not match the setting or the price.

Yelp
Fantastic food, service, ambiance, everything here from start to finish was excellent for a frazzled and intense family with two young kids. Normally we avoid hotel food, but given we had parked quite far away, and had two kids that were ready to actually eat their parents for breakfast, we came here for two breakfasts in a row while on our mini vacation. Staff (a different server each day) were extremely accommodating and understanding with our ornery kiddos. Meals came out quickly, with photo-ready presentations. Over our two meals here we had a hefty omelet (fairly customizable), the acai bowl (a bit different than normal, but really tasty and fresh), an absurdly sweet French toast, nice n fluffy pancakes, and two well-made matcha lattes. There is a buffet too; we didn't order this but from the little we saw it looked solid. Outside heating is available for the cool mornings. It's a little pricey (not included in our standard room), but about what I'd expect for top-notch service with an ocean view and excellent service.

Yelp
Joanna is an excellent services who checked on us multiple times, was kind, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is very good. Plated nicely and yummy! Breakfast - fingerling potatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs, pancake (side order). The potatoes are flavorful with grilled onions, excellent quality bacon and ham.

Yelp
Meh... we came here and were excited try it, we walked in and there was live music and seemed inviting but then the hostess seemed bummed we were there and sat is all the way in the back where we couldn't see or hear the music. The waiter wasn't friendly either and treated us in a condescending manner the whole time. Also our table light went off and I couldn't see my food and he said it was the end of the night and the battery was dying on the light and wouldn't grab a new light?? It's way overpriced/ over rated in my opinion. I have gotten better service at McDonald's no joke.

Yelp
Service, food, and ambiance were all top notch for me. We sat outside and had the heat lamps on and it was nice and toasty with a view! Service was attentive, Ricky was great, and able to accommodate all my requests. We even took his menu recommendations and that did not disappoint. I ordered the ricotta and mushroom appetizer and it was amazing! I would even order a second order to take it to go cause I enjoyed it so much. The garlic was a nice touch as well. Entrees, we had the sea bass and branzino and both were delicious. Fish was fresh and flaky! I would absolutely visit here again for another great meal.

Yelp
Justina goes above and beyond. This place has great pancakes and delicious breakfast. We went here for a family vacation and enjoy coming here every morning. Great service and the ambiance is nice and relaxed. The drinks were fun too! We were always greeted and treated nicely by all the staff.

Yelp
I'm way late in posting this review but I was just thinking of Mother's Day and remembering what a great meal and experience I had at Watertable last year! A mom friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a spa and dinner the night before Mother's Day and Watertable didn't disappoint. The dinner time ambiance was so calm and relaxing with live music and nice candlelight. Our server was great and everything we ordered was delicious. My friend can't have dairy and he was very careful to make appropriate recommendations and modify her order. Not a bad moment in the entire experience and I highly recommend going here for a special occasion! Be sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
A memorable experience at Watertable. A beautiful restaurant in Huntington Beach. I'll start with the negative. The room was cold. They sat us close to a door to the patio and kept it open. We asked our server if he could close it, and he did. Our server was Bulent. He was very attentive and nice. 5 Stars for him!!! Food: Old Fashioned Drinks Olive Tapenade Hamachi Crudo Bone Marrow Pear Salad Tiger Prawns Lamb Chops Orange Almond Dessert The highlight was the Bone Marrow. It was prepared perfectly with mushrooms, madeira, grilled sour dough bread, and parsley. Best combination ever!!! All the other dishes were good. I wouldn't order the Prawns again. My friends enjoyed the lamb chops. Overall, it was a beautiful experience, and the food was tasty.

Mary K.

Yelp
The food is perfection, the service is impeccable and the ambiance is beautiful. This is one of our faves in town and we enjoy both family and group dinners here for all of our special occasions or just a quiet night out

Iman

Yelp
I have always liked this breakfast place , I've been there more than 20 times already. Unfortunately, last time might be my last visit. The waitress falsely accused us of lying when we told her she had charged us for an extra coffee. It was very unprofessional and not nice. I'm disappointed, as I used to really enjoy coming here...
google avatar

Yelp
I came here on a weekday with friends for breakfast and got completely pampered by the staff and quality food. I ordered the brûlée oats and a side of bacon with fresh pineapple juice and a lavender oat latte. The oats had some of the tastiest buttery granola on top and the coconut cream was light and fresh! So good I will be dreaming about this. The pineapple juice was vibrant and freshly made. The latte's presentation was so pretty and very lightly flavored. I want to come back and try more of the menu next time I'm in town. It was busy but the staff handled it smoothly and food arrived to the table relatively quickly for how fresh everything tasted. If the weather is nice I recommend sitting outside near the fountain and enjoying the sunshine. Seeing the ocean view is guaranteed to make your food taste even better.

Yelp
Had breakfast today, Easter Sunday 2025. The Lox & Bagel was delightful. Every ingredient was fresh and high quality, the arugula, the pickle, the onions, and most importantly, the smoked salmon. The bagel and cream cheese hung out in the background and didn't overpower the other tastes. The side of guac was just right and completed the meal. The plating was top notch ... great job, chef(s)!

Yelp
Best restaurant in town! A must when you're in Huntington Beach. Food and service was above expectations

Yelp
I haven't been here for a year and the quality of the food changed so bad, including the service. I usually do either room service or dine in, but recently I did room service. The first biggest disappointment is, certian foods cannot not be ordered. Personal didn't give me a reason or what type of food but for sure one of the food I was really wanting was the Bone Marrow. Did not get a chance to get that and I was will to do 2-3 orders (sad). The most disappointing was the Lamb chops. It was very very small than usual, dry, and blandly seasoned. I did two orders for myself and for my daughter. We both love the Lamb but that night, the experience was so bad, we didn't bother to finish it. So overall quality of experience was a one . I don't understand the restrictions on certian food to be ordered. Next time, I rather go to an actual restaurant to eat quality that is good enough to bring back to the hotel and eat for the next day. Not going to go back or order room service. I felt that the people that do room service are less of a priority.

Yelp
-- location -- inside the Hyatt. Front entrance is on Pacific View Ave. which is the same as the lobby entrance to the Hyatt. Maps will be confusing and lead you to the "front" on PCH which has no entrance. -- parking -- street parking on PCH or valet. $7 valet for under 3 hours with validation. Like $29 otherwise valet. -- menu -- concise menu of elevated American food. Lengthy menu of alcohol. Relatively short menu of cocktails. Nice Selection of desserts. They should offer complimentary bread and butter too. What we ordered: Shareable - seared scallops dish ($25) potato cake ($16) Both are yummy. Lovely presentation. Entree- 6 oz petite filet ($58) we asked for medium rare 8 oz prime New York ($51) we asked for medium 6 oz chicken ($35) 6 oz Chilean sea bass ($48) Olive oil cake ($12) 4 beers 1 mezcal grapefruit cocktail ($18) Overall great. The beefs were cooked as requested. My husband noted the chicken was rather small for a meal but good. The major comment from this meal was that the root vegetable that accompanied the sea bass was not cooked thoroughly. We noted this to our server who said they'd relay to the chef. Beers came in the original glass bottle. Cocktail was nice and presented with dried fruit. Olive oil cake was taken to go. They were sweet and added a candle to light for later because it was my moms bday. -- overall -- we had the option to sit inside or outside and chose outside. The outdoor seating is surrounded by the Hyatt and has the beach front so nearby. Very pleasant ambiance. And we were sat next to the heater which was helpful. They did not provide complimentary bread until we asked. It came out rather cold. Would have preferred it to be warm. Bathrooms located in the main lobby of the Hyatt. For an establishment like this, it's a good 4.5 rating. I was tempted to give 4 because of the bread and root vegetable part, but everything is tasty and enjoyable. The ambiance, service, and experience was positive too.

Yelp
This review is long overdue. I absolutely love this place. The food and service are Exceptional!! My steak is always exquisite, medium rare, melts in your mouth, cooked to perfection each and every time, dirty martinis with blue cheese are superb. The ambiance is relaxing and romantic. This has become one of my favorite restaurants. One of my dearest best friends introduced me to this Amazing place! I am thankful and appreciate, that she brings me here, every year for my birthday.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite restaurant in Huntington Beach. We stay here at the hotel so it makes it that much better. During our stay we average about a meal a day here so I have had most of the dinner and breakfast menu Service is always great. Outdoor and indoor seating is fantastic. Their fire tables and heating keep you warm outside and the decor is really done well. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you are close by give it a try. It won't disappoint.

Yelp
A really quiet and relaxing brunch restaurant inside the Hyatt with $5 valet. If you sit outside, you have a clear view of Huntington Beach with lots of flowers and a fountain. They have a $36 buffet option on top of their brunch menu which looked good: scrambled eggs (and scrambled whites), seasonal vegetables, pastries, bagel and cereal station, small charcuterie, fruit, bacon, quiche, etc. Coffee and juice included. I have no self-control so I got the corned beef hash eggs Benedict which looks small but is surprisingly filling without being bloated. It was very tasty and the corned beef was more like a smoked brisket instead of minced. Not salty either, pretty healthy as far as hash goes. Orange juice was fresh squeezed. Our server was Christine/Kristine and she was very nice, checked on us often, cleared plates, and refilled waters. No complaints here. The decor inside was also very relaxing. Good for business and pleasure.

Yelp
We went to celebrate Father's Day. It was amazing. The food we had the tomahawk it came with two sides and 2 desserts. Everything was delicious. The server Ramon and all the staff were really kind we loved the place

Yelp
Wanted to avoid hotel breakfast but this was above average. Honey lavender had a great after taste and larger glass than usual. Two eggs anystyle was solid with chicken sausage and potatoes not dried out. Huervos rancheros was a surprise on how good it was with the salsa and all. It was tasty and not too much egg or beans, evenly layered out and all. Outdoor seating was nice but rained out. Go for outdoors if you can especially night time watching sunsets. Server was very social, he was friends it felt like with everyone, it rained out then sit at the bar.

Yelp
TL;DR: Some really standout dishes with great service - can't go wrong Nice dining option in the Hyatt Regency HB - really nice view from the outdoor tables Came after a beach and pool day for some early tapas-type dining and weren't disappointed Ordered: - Torched Hamachi app (3/5): the green sauce was yummy and the seafood was really fresh but the flavor profile just seemed to miss everyone at the table - Whipped Ricotta and Marinated Mushrooms app (4/5): the grilled olive bread is the winner here - the spread is good but lost the mushroom earthiness in the ricotta - Creamer Potato Cakes app (5/5): winning app! Just know there's a lot of potatoes - Shaved Fennel and Grilled Artichoke Salad (3/5): Unfortunate letdown compared to all the other veggies we were served. Missed the appetizing flavor memo that the rest of the dishes received :/ - Chilean Sea Bass (4.5/5 - MVP): the fish sea bass was really flaky but wish we got a better sear Side: - Grilled eggplant (5/5): perfectly seared and cooked eggplant strips topped with thin more-flavorful-than-hot chilis - Fries (2/5): fries were a heavy miss and only saved by the green dipping sauce - Roasted carrots (3/5): some of the thinner pieces were on the dry side - overall decent roast The meal had its highlight dishes but Cameron was yet another highlight with his great service, friendly attitude, and fun anecdotes! Definitely got some of great recs and tips for the best hotel experience Will try much more on the menu (talking to you, Tomahawk) next time we're here and looking for some more grub Cheers, Watertable and Cameron!

Yelp
The potato appetizer was super good. The rest of the food was honestly just okay. In our party of 6, the people who got fish really liked it although I ordered the chicken and it was really salty and overloaded with butter. With the high price point, I definitely expected better. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I got sick to our stomachs for several days after eating here so we will definitely will be skipping next time.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Watertable!! Completely recommend the meat/cheese tray appetizer and the salmon entree was beautiful! The coconut macaroon was also fantastic for dessert! Service was friendly and knowledgeable, making out party feel right at home and comfortable quickly. The restaurants atmosphere is classy yet homey -- if you have time before dining, you might enjoy a pre dinner drink in the"library" like sitting area. Would recommend visiting this restaurant even if not staying in hotel.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in Hyatt Hotel, the architecture, fountain pool, plants, and overall atmosphere was gorgeous. The setting for this restaurant is a real selling point. Views out past the landscaped garden to the beach are glorious. The seating has several fire pits and low lighting giving a very relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here, and ordered the seabass, bone marrow, and salad, perfection! The service is excellent, and the outdoor dining views brought me so much happiness. Valet parking only but $7 for 3 hours is a great match with the view and food. We had an exceptional dining experience at Watertable and can't wait to return. Highly recommended for a memorable and delicious evening out!

Yelp
Came here for breakfast after staying a night at the Hyatt regency Huntington Beach. As a Hyatt Globalist breakfast is complimentary and pretty much anything on the menu was free game so I tried a few different things. The Huevos Rancheros with Beef Barbacoa was delicious, packed with beans and meat so if you're not a fan of beans, I'd stay away. The SoCa was really good too the chicken was flavorful and crunchy and the sauce on top was yummy. The cornbread waffle was different but it was a nice touch (ask for hot sauce). The Oreo waffle wedges were my favorite part very sweet and the Oreo crunch with whipped cream was the perfect dip. Service was really good, our waiter made sure we were constantly checked on and all the staff were delightful. I had fresher squeezed orange juice for a drink. The location has a nice decor too and old speakeasy vibe.

Yelp
I've been to Watertable for both dinner and brunch. Dinner here is absolutely phenomenal. I came for a work party and got to try several appetizers, all of which were delicious. From the potatoes to the lamb lollipops, everything was a flavorful and quickly devoured. Even the fresh bread and butter was enough to write home about. For my main course, I ordered the sea bass and it did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly and paired really nicely with the sauce that accompanied it. Because dinner was so good, I chose to come back for my birthday brunch. They do offer a buffet but we decided to order entrees off of the regular brunch menu. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes while my husband opted for the SoCa Benedict. Both were good, but we've both had better. The star of the pancakes was the honeycomb butter they came with. Otherwise, they tasted like lemon blueberry pancakes- not bad but nothing special. I tried my husband's Benedict and preferred that, but he thought it was just okay. Love the coziness of the restaurant and no complaints on service. I'm sure we'll be back soon for dinner!

Yelp
We were there for breakfast and dinner. Everything we ordered were great and the ambiance was perfect with great service. We don't like to dine at hotels often but Watertable is a must.

Yelp
The crème brûlée oatmeal is not only the best oatmeal ever...it may be my favorite breakfast ever. My husband had pancakes and said they were amazing. Anthony was a phenomenal server. Very attentive and personable. He made for a great experience.

Yelp
Pull up to the Hyatt Regency valet. Let them take care of the car. Then... let Watertable take care of your appetite. You deserve it How'd I end up here? Decided to try something new for a Mother's Day dinner. It was gamble having never been here before prior to this evening. Rolling the dice on such a momentous occasion, some would say "Dang Mike you bold" LOL Could've gone wrong but compliments to the chef, the excellent crew of Watertable, it went oh so right! Review: The dinner was everything an excellent dinner experience should be for a mom who deserves the best! Wine selection: Excellent, vast Menu: Well curated appetizer options. Flavors did not conflict nor compete for palette. Steak which I ordered medium, was precisely medium. Service: Our waiter, was attentive and very well versed. Great communication, and pleasant to converse with. I also observed the surrounding guests enjoying the service of their waiters as well. I only wish I wrote this more soon. I can't recall his name, nor the specific names of the dishes. My apologies in advance for my subpar written review. Overall, Watertable gets the 5

Yelp
I came here twice largely amused that at two different Hyatt Regencies separated by hundreds of miles there was Water's Table and Watertable. With such similarities I wanted to compare the one to the other and quickly discovered they are remarkably different restaurants. First time I visited I popped in the bar for a cocktail where I was greeted with professional indifference. It was a lovely bar, deep U shape with these high bar stools. The bartender took my drink order and then left me to it. The night was quiet, the service transactional professionalism, and there was little interest. the drink was solid and then I left because my hotel room was warmer in more ways than one. A few days later, immediately after checking out, I decided to eat breakfast here. With suitcase in hand I found the morning crew to be more welcoming. I was cheerily greeted by the hostess who sat me off the bar area in the middle of the room. Despite the central location and quite a few diners I found the noise level to be fantastic, never clearly hearing anything anyone else was saying. I ordered the eggs, potatoes, and sausage and it was delicious. Perfectly savory. The French 75 cocktail I ordered was wonderfully balanced. My waitress was more polite profession, but I again noted the overtly serious tone that seemed to be almost everywhere here. Lots of small, polite smiles. Still, a very good breakfast experience!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get the branzino which is so amazing with the crispy flavorful skin. We loved all the food that came out everything tasted great and they also have outdoor seatings too for a romantic vibe. It's part of the hotel so easier to just valet park. One of my favorite restaurants in HB area.

Yelp
Great outdoor patio and dining area. Inside the Hyatt Hotel. The bread!!! I normally don't eat or care about the complimentary bread at a restaraunt but the bread here is awesome!! I could not stop eating it!! Good cocktails and service. Cheeseburger was good. Being a fry snob, these were a 3/4 out of a 5. The green dipping sauce was delish. Filet was cooked perfectly and sides were good. Will repeat here.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! My family and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Hotel in Huntington Beach. Upon walking back into our room one night, we noticed Watertable Restaurant, located on the main floor. The lounge area looked so attractive that we had to acquire more information. The next morning, we made sure to enjoy our last meal before heading back home. I ordered the vegetable Benedict, daughter ordered their lox and bagel, and hubbie ordered their vegetable omelette. Each dish was so delicious and so fresh. I absolutely loved my vegetable Benedict, which consisted of Brussel sprouts, kale, sweet potatoes, etc over poached eggs. I found it to be very flavorful and a wonderful mix of vegetables. Truly enjoyed our breakfast at Watertable. They do only open until 11:30 for breakfast, and reopen for dinner at 5:30. Looking forward to trying their dinner next time

Yelp
Food was tasty and the view is unbeatable. Tuna tartare was a bit under seasoned but beautiful presentation. Cocktails are fantastic. Worth a visit.
