Oh creative! What I went with a friend and we grabbed a couple of things that are all interesting! THE PORTIONS ARE PRETTY BIG. The sushi tots I’d say is my least favorite, there is a lot of rice tots. The donut was really good but also a lot of rice… there is a mix of seafood on the top and the selection you make is what the inside is filled with. I picked spicy tuna. The paradise roll was pretty good, balance out the other dishes that had the rice. Environment There is parking right outside. The inside is like fast casual style.. but it is a sit down restaurant. Niceness of the staff Super nice staff. Had the patience while I was looking at photos online and asking what it was. Thank you for the recommendations! Dollar It is pretty decent but getting a new things can add up Yes/no Yes I would come back

Google
We had an amazing experience, our server was so attentive and friendly. She made sure we had our beers nice and cold, we made the most of the happy hour and had a great meal. The poke taco was amazing and the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks are worth coming back for alone. Just as good as my first experience here a couple years ago.

Wave Sushi is an absolute must-visit in Mount Dora, and their secret menu corn dog is a total game-changer! It’s not your typical corn dog—it’s more like a sushi burrito, and I went with the tuna option. The crispy outer layer adds the perfect crunch, while the fresh tuna inside is packed with flavor. It’s an incredible fusion of textures and tastes that you won’t find just anywhere. Beyond the food, the vibe at Wave Sushi is top-notch. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast or just looking for something unique, this place delivers every time. Pro tip: ask about the secret menu—you won’t regret it!

Google
My go to spot whenever I am near Mount Dora. The food is always fresh and delicious, the servers attentive and kind, and the menus is unique so I usually have something new to try when I go. We popped in during the Art Festival and kept it simple with a salmon burrito, orange chicken bowl (with rice), and a chicken bowl (with noodles). One of my friends is very allergic to onions and our server went above and beyond to accommodate her and ensure nothing she received had onion in it. (The server caught that the ginger salad dressing has onion. I almost gave her a bite of mine to try 😱)

Google
I would 10000% recommend the krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks. They are absolutely amazing served with a Thai chili sauce which just smacks. Honestly it was the best thing we had. I wouldn’t recommend the pizza, the doughnut or the tacos. The tacos are sooooo dry, they have no cream or sauce to speak of. The pizza is only edible with a fork and knife and the “crust” is dry again, with no cream or sauce. The doughnuts is the exact same, no sauce and the tuna was very dark, almost grey in places. Not fresh at all. I understand people use soy sauce, however I shouldn’t HAVE to use soy sauce to make something edible. I would go back for normal sushi but the heavy hitters they are using to get people in the door are definitely something I would never order again.

Google
This hotdog sushi roll lived up to the instagram hype!! Nice and crispy, delicious!! Definitely definitely recommend && check out the adorable town && local stores!! Genuine people who seem to love their town! Stop at nest for a beer and walk around with it to other shops! Super cute and fun!

Google
Fresh and creatively crafted dishes. There are similar ingredients such as spicy tuna as the main base for certain dishes such as the sushi stack and meat lover pizza so watch out for what you order. Other than that this place is OK. Don't forget fry everything in the crunchy cheetos.

Google
I will definitely come again. Great food. Great service. Great surroundings. Super fresh Sushi. Lots of unique choices you won't find anywhere else. The Crab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks are to die for

Yelp
Wave is definitely my favorite place for tasty and fresh sushi!! The must get here is the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks - I can't have a lot of dairy but having a part of one of the sticks is always worth the sacrifice!! :) I also recommend the sushi taco! It allows you to be adventurous but not too out of the box with its simplicity:) they have so many rolls to choose from as well and for the non sushi lover - get the #19 hibachi combo - you'll thank me! :D

Yelp
We drove out to Mt. Dora for the blueberry festival. It was a beautiful breezy day and after a few hours we headed over to Wave for dinner . They were on an hour wait so we wandered off for a beer while we waited on our text . We got seated and had great service right away . We had a few bottles of sake and sushi fries to start . The fries were so delicious and huge . They were crispy and covered in so much krab. We tried all the fun things , giant sushi dog , sushi pizza, sushi donut plus a bunch of rolls . They were all good , if not challenging to eat. The presentation is so fun . The fish was so fresh . This is a great spot and our family had a terrific time .

Yelp
We stopped into WAVE while my mom was in town back in February 2024. We were shopping in the Mount Dora area and were looking for something good to eat before heading over to Eustis to finish-out our shopping experience. I asked Nancy and mom where they wanted to eat, but they kept saying I should pick it. Well, I said let's go to WAVE. I came here a few years back and it was good then, so I am sure it still good now. Even though it was a little busy when we arrived, we were still seated right away. I usually order sushi rolls when I go to a place like this, so I wanted to change it up and went with the Orange Chicken Hibachi Bowl with noodles ($14.95). My mom chose the Philly Roll ($7) and the Shrimp Tempura Roll ($7). Nancy decided on the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll ($7). We also ordered a bowl of seaweed salad to share ($6). All of the food was delicious. I was able to sample everything and my favorites were the Hibachi bowl and the shrimp tempura roll. For those of you that have a huge appetite WAVE also offers the Hibachi Bowl + Roll at lunch for $20, not a bad deal. You could always just spit this with a fried if you want to save a little $$. Our server Jessica was great and our food came out a lot faster than I anticipated. Everything was freshly prepared and my Hibachi bowl was steaming hot. All-in-all, a great meal and I highly recommend you give WAVE a try if you are in the area. We will be back.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Mt.Dora! The sushi and hibachi bowls here are top tier stuff! Usually on a Saturday afternoon this place is packed, But today we were sat immediately and got quick service. I love the modern look and the sushi decor around the restaurant! I come here often and always love it! This visit we got the Street corn appetizer with the wonton chips. The corn was sweet and spicy and went well with the crispy Chips. For my main meal, I got the orange chicken bowl with fried rice and hibachi vegetables. The tempura orange chicken is out of this world! It's perfectly crispy with a sweet, but not overpowering sauce. It went well with some white sauce on top. My guests were happy with their meals too.

Yelp
This review is long overdue! I've been following their IG for almost a year before visiting this past December with my Fiancé. So I was really looking forward it. The restaurant is perfect for families, dates and gatherings. The interior was welcoming and clean. The walls decorated with cool artwork revolving sushi. They have a good amount of options on their menu. But we went in knowing we wanted to try their fun sushi creations. We chose a spicy tuna sushi donut and a spicy salmon sushi burger. The fish was fresh but the sauce mixture was just a kick. I think it could've been spicier. We also ordered the Spicy Krab Bao which was yummy. For drinks we got a sangria and Japanese beers, sweet potato and wheat. We enjoyed the beers and I loved the sangria. One of the chefs, the one on IG, came out to pour one of the beer for us. I thought that was really cool. We even got to try a Taro Matcha Cheesecake. It was delicious! Everything was a pleasant experience. Honorable mention! The restroom has an actual changing table. Yes, it was clean. Big green flag for families. Shoutout to May! She was such a great waitress and very personal. I appreciated how she acknowledged us every chance she got when making her way to other tables. It was reassuring to know that we wouldn't be lost in the mix.

Yelp
The problem with wanting to go somewhere for so long, and finally going is that while the food may be Instagram worthy the flavors and the things you order aren't necessarily your usual that bring you to these types of establishments. Now I am an avid Sushi eater, and while these creations look amazing, the most popular ones seem to have either flaming, hot Cheetos, some sort of Kani, and something deep-fried. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday and were seated immediately, which was great. The server was knowledgeable while I had a hard time choosing I went with the Instagram worthy items, and I have to tell you I wish I had ordered rolls. I like the occasional deep fried thing. This was just too much. The shrimp on top of the hotdog were awesome and definitely worthwhile addition. The spicy tuna pizza left some to be desired. the miso soup tasted authentic and the ginormous burger Sushi requires for you to dislocate your joint order for you to be able to eat it all in one bite. Otherwise you have to cut it up. Im a fan of sashimi so This one was a bit too much rice for me.

Yelp
Wow! Came here on a Thursday afternoon. In February 2024. We got right in. They had a lunch special. 2 rolls, soup or salad for $12. They also offered IPA beer from Sarasota. Big Top Brewery which was very good. I also ordered a side of seaweed salad for $6. It was very good. Nice friendly staff. Lots of seating. Free parking in adjacent lot.

Yelp
I've been following this restaurant on instagram for quite some time and when I finally made the trip to visit mount dora. I absolutely knew I had to come here and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The sauce on top of the sushi was a bit too spicy for my taste but overall taste was excellent. if you're not into sushi they have offer options on the menu. we ordered the orange chicken bowl it was delicious.
google avatar

Ishmael D.

Yelp
One of my friends wanted to check it out because of the social media advertising. He liked his meal but was expecting a bit more taste wise. I lean towards finding veggie options and they had enough to choose from. I tried the spicy tofu, and was not disappointed with the heat level - it had just enough spice for it to be considered spicy lol. The sauce used was excellent and gave that umami flavor you expect from this style of cuisine. We didn't need to wait that long to be seated, and that was a plus! The feel of the location reminds me of the corner store restaurants in NY, that use all the space they have to accommodate the patrons so don't expect high end dining but it is worth a visit for the food :).

Yelp
Awesome food. Ordered via Uber Eats. Delivery was outstanding and food was even better! I'll order again or visit in person.

Yelp
I've Seen This Restaurant On TikTok And Love Them. I Stopped By Mount Dora And Then Found Out They Were There So Here I Am 2 Years Later Trying The Food I Found In My Dreams. The Ambiance Is Cool But Yucky. The Wonton Chips Are Super Flavorful And Crunchy. The Sushi Tots Are Great But Not Crispy At All. The Soft Shell Crab Sushi Taco Is Delicious. And The Sushi Crunchwrap Supreme (Hot Cheeto Version) Is Not Spicy, Amazingly Flavorful, And Absolutely Ginormous. Amazing Service As Well.

Yelp
First time at Wave and the food and service was great! We were both so full after our meals. Only complaint is it feels a little squished!
google avatar

Jerry B.

Yelp
Hot dog and hamburger looking Sushi, what could go wrong? Apparently not much! After a single brave dinner date, the Wave has become our go-to place in Mt Dora. Highly recommend as part of an enjoyable but not too serious night in town. That said there is no reason to venture to their mere conventional sushi rolls.
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
This place definitely lived up to the hype in my book! I got the wave sushi burrito and my partner had the chicken hibachi bowl with noodles. The service was also very attentive and there was no wait for 4 on a Friday night at 7 pm. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that the burrito was a little messy/hard to eat. Huge bonus points that Mt. Dora is such a cute little town to walk around in. Overall, we will definitely be back!
google avatar

Georgia K.

Yelp
This place truly lived up to all my expectations and more. The unique menu offers sushi Crunchwraps, burritos, hot dog, and lots of other fun forms. I originally came here based on videos I saw online and I really enjoyed my experience. My party sat outside and our server was so nice and attentive! The sushi quality itself is not the absolute best but the novelty of the experience and other flavors make up for it.

Yelp
10/5/23- Wave was highly recommended by friends. We came in and were impressed with everything coming out the kitchen. We didn't know what or how to order because everything they make is super unique. Have you heard of a sushi burger, sushi pizza, sushi tacos, sushi hotdog??? We stuck with the same usuals for us but will definitely be back to try more things that they offer. Next for me is the sushi taco. It is a very casual place. Our server Fabi was knowledgeable and friendly. She definitely knew the menu very well and w as able to help us. We had the volcano roll, tuna roll and fried ice cream.
google avatar

Carol H.

Yelp
Hadn't been since they moved to the new (larger) location. Arrived at 11:30 on a Wednesday. Was pretty empty throughout our meal. Server, Jess, was kind and patient. Provided recommendations. I'd been before but my dining companion hadn't. There aren't any pictures on the menu...think they're really missing the boat here. So I showed her on IG. Had a taco and a roll. Both delicious and taco was filled to overflowing.

Yelp
The food was incredible. Our server was very nice, Knowledgable of the menu items, and very fast. We will certainly be going back to try other menu options. The ginger dressing salad was always really good . Very clean Restaurant

Yelp
Excellent service. Ask for Austin. The crunchwrap is amazing and note that any dish you can ask for the Hot Cheetos crust.

Yelp
We found out about the Wave through all of their cool posts and unique sushi options through Instagram. We made the hike to Mount Dora and didn't regret it. Everything was as good as it looks! Our favorites are the Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks and the Sushi Hotdog!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food and service we drove over an hour to come to eat here and it was the BEST sushi hands down I've had an I am a sushi connoisseur!!

Yelp
Where do I even begin? My co-worker suggested this restaurant. She is a local and raved about it. I took one look at the menu and said...I'm in!!! We decided to try several different items from the menu. We ordered the Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks as our appetizer. I was a little hesitant but OMG!!! They were delicious. We also the ginger salad, which was the best ginger salad I've ever had. My husband had the miso soup and he that was amazing. I had the clear mushroom soup and the flavor was outstanding. We then shared the beauty and the beast roll, the Tsunami roll and a spicy tuna sushi taco coated with hot Cheetos. Holy smokes this food was amazing!!!! Everything we tried was super fresh, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was very nice. Cute decor and the staff was amazing. A must try in Mount Dora.

Yelp
I love WAVE sushi! My wife and I are so excited for them to come to Maitland! The ambiance is cool, with loads of unique murals and bright colors. The servers are always super friendly and happy to make recommendations. But the best part is the creative dishes. Not only do they look awesome, but they taste incredible too. I have taken a few friends here now and everyone is always impressed and leaves full. Would highly recommend! Mt Dora is also a cute town to check out if you're over that way.

Yelp
Located just outside of Orlando, this place is a must when visiting the central Florida area! When it all boils down to it, WAVE just implements a simple fusion concept that is essentially just sushi prepared in the shape of a burger, or a slice of pizza, or a crunch wrap, etc. But when once you fully grasp the concept, it is a wonderful experience for the sushi lover. I initially tried WAVE for the wonderful fusion sushi concept, but I've kept going back because of the fresh fish they use that makes these dishes very delicious! I've always gotten at least one thing from the burger menu, the donut menu, the pizza menu, and the crunch wrap menu. This is definitely way too much food for one person, so of course I've always shared it with whomever I'm with. If I had to choose just one thing for myself, it would probably be the crunch wrap, but even then that might be too much for just one person. The only thing I don't like about the crunch wrap is the use of cream cheese. I am definitely not a cream cheese and sushi person. Overall, this place has a great sushi fusion concept, but it's the freshness of the fish they use that makes it a must for any sushi lover. Throw in a friendly staff and you have one great restaurant!

Yelp
Where do I even begin? My friend Tommy suggested this spot, he saw it on "the Gram." I took a look and said...oh yea! After a quick swim at a state park we headed over. We decided to try several items from the menu. We ordered the krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks as our starter. I was hesitant but WOW! These are delicious. We then shared the following; rainbow sushi burrito, tuna supreme pizza and a sushi crunch wrap. Everything we tried was fresh, beautiful and delicious! My favorite was the crunch wrap-this is FIRE!! Our server was amazing and we begged her to tell the owner to open a location in Miami, FL. Will definitely return.

Yelp
This place is soooo good! Second time there and while there is always a wait but i believe its worth it. There is SO much to choose from on the menu and it is all fantastic! This is not your date night type of place the decor is very cheap and basic - its more of a fast casual lunch spot. Make sure to order the gyoza, the sushi tots and beef bulgogi!
google avatar

Paige R.

Yelp
AMAZING! Fried crab Rangoon sticks were delicious. Loved the rolls and and spicy garlic chili sauce!
google avatar

Kaley J.

Yelp
We came here for an early dinner and I'm glad we did! We walked in and it was pretty busy! The wait was about 30 minutes which wasn't bad! The hostess was super nice too. For appetizers we had the sushi fries (recommended by our waiter!) and pork gyozas. Both were very good but I think the fries were my favorite! For entrees I tried the spicy tuna burrito. It was good but I would probably just get a roll next time! We also tried the steak hibachi and that was delicious!
google avatar

Shena G.

Yelp
First timers for Lunch on Sunday, it was extremely packed parking wise due to a festival mt Dora was having but the restaurant was not too crowded around noon. We enjoyed sushi & spicy krab baos & tacos. Our waitress was friendly and patient as we tried to decide what we were going to order. The food was fresh and delicious, 10/10. Can't wait to go again to try more menu items.

Yelp
After living in Hawaii for 4 years, I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to sushi. I've had Wave on my radar since we first moved in March of 2022. Actually, some of my friends from Hawaii had seen reels on instagram and sent them to me. When I looked them up, I realized we were only about 30 minutes away. We hadn't made it there yet until yesterday when my daughter had a volleyball tournament in Tavares, so we drove over after. Let me tell ya, I'm really bummed I waited this long to try it. Everything was so good! The portions were huge and good cuts of fish. The prices were also very fair! We got the sushi stack, spicy tuna bowl, salmon roll, California roll, and a spicy tuna sushi donut! Colby our waiter was great as well and was very personable and attentive! Can't wait to go back try some other items off of the menu.
google avatar

Shannon W.

Yelp
I have been waiting SO LONG to come here! I've followed their instagram since last winter when I visited Mount Dora for Christmas and it was recommended to me. And FINALLYYYYYY it happened!!! We shared the spicy Cheetos sushi crunch wrap because it was like $40 lol but it was so good and HUGE. It was a very cool experience for sure, we got it to go and sat at a local outdoor area. I will say, it was stufffffffed - I think I would prefer these things in a regular roll bc it's easier to eat and get a little of everything in 1 bite. This took WORK to eat for sure and between the 2 of us we didn't even finish. The girls at the host stand when ordering were kind of rude and were often busy chit chatting and ignoring when a new customer (me and others) would walk in. Like they were too busy talking to each other they'd ignore you standing right up at the desk waiting for acknowledgment (there was like 6 girls too, not just 1 or 2 and they would alllll ignore you). This happened both when we were ordering and again when I came back to pickup after I got my text it was ready - so that was annoying. Overall glad I finally tried it, but I'm in no rush to go back I don't think. If I was in the area for some reason I would probably rather try another new restaurant vs going again, but it was still really good. Definitely an experience everyone needs at least once!
google avatar

Rebecca E.

Yelp
Stumbled across this place online then saw them on IG. After seeing the photos and reels, we had to eat here. We live in Ocala so it wasn't a far trip. Totally worthwhile. We only had intentions on trying the sushi burritos until a plate of these fried things went past us: Krab Rangoon Mozzerella Sticks. So good. We took a lot of food home. The second go round was amazing too. Next up is the sushi pizza and sushi hotdog. Very excited that this is in Mt Dora and will ensure all who visit us will be visiting here as well. If you call ahead they will make specialty sushi for you also! (According to their social media site; which I will be attempting this at a later date)
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
I'll start this by answering a commonly raised question: YES. It's worth the drive. I went out for a girls night to Wave so my friend could try it out for thieve first time and the food didn't disappoint. The team here is so wildly creative with their sushi creations! To someone just hearing "sushi burger" you might be put off by the thought, but trust me, if you like sushi you're going to love what this place has to offer. Not only do they have their specialty sushi creations like the tacos, hot dogs, and burgers; but they also have some hot items as well so if you're being forced to go by your sushi loving friends you can enjoy some Tonkotsu ramen! We all shared appetizers and ordered the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks, edamame with spicy garlic, and the bao bun. For the entrees we had the sushi donut with avocado filling, spicy tuna sushi burger, and the spicy tuna sushi tacos with hot Cheetos crust. Everything was perfectly balanced and so delicious! I will try to go back again soon so I can try their sushi pizza next!
google avatar

Sonia K.

Yelp
Never have I have had a sushi pizza until I went to Wave, a hidden gem in Mt. Dora. I tried the veggie sushi pizza and it was delicious with the loaded toppings. My friend tried almost all their menu items and loved the sushi donut and burger. Our server was very helpful especially with getting our to-go items prepared quick. I hope too be back in the downtown Mt. Dora area soon because I want to try more of their fun creations. I also highly recommend planning other activities in Mt. Dora while you are grabbing a bite here. This beautifully decorated restaurant is definitely worth the stop!

Yelp
Oh boy. I've been dying to go to the place since I started following them on instagram. I needed to meet a friend for lunch and luckily she lived near Mount Dora so it was the perfect excuse to go. The area is so cute! I'm not sure how else to describe it as it's nestled in Mount Dora's historic downtown area with quaint shops to walk in and out of and a great view of the lake. That being said, parking was challenging. There's plenty of public parking spots but they filled up by the time I got there. Wave has a small lot as well and I wasn't even gonna attempt it. I ended up parking a block over and walking down a side street to the front entrance. There wasn't a waitlist but they were pretty busy. While we were seated and talking I noticed a few people around us ordered the Sushi Crunch Wrap. This was the first item I considered ordering but after reading online that it's large enough to share and it's cut in half I didn't want to stuff myself this way. Then I thought. "Maybe the sushi pizza instead..." But I made up my mind when I saw their daily chalkboard outside and got their secret menu items, the Mosaic Roll and the Atlantic Roll. Mosaic Roll - so pretty! Exactly like it says the 4 piece roll looks like a stain glass window Atlantic Roll - I underestimated this one. 8 pieces, thick boy salmon and tuna and no rice! Where there is normally rice there's a thin layer of krab and while it's not my favorite, this tasted amazing. I also got the Taro-Matcha No-Bake Cheesecake but unfortunately they were out of Taro, so it was just matcha. I wasn't bothered by this because I LOVE matcha. My friend took a bite and said it was good but she isn't big on sweets so I happily scooped the rest into my mouth. I also tried their Bee My Honey cocktail with honey, lemon, and coconut lemongrass sake which was oh so delicious! Oh you already know I'm going back.

Yelp
I went back and just got sushi to go. I did not get any of the fancy pizzas, tacos, or crunch wraps. I just got sushi and nagiri and it was amazing. Seriously some of the best sushi I have had. The other things are fun to look at but where they truly shine is in there old school sushi.
google avatar

Yelp
If you love Asian cuisine, even more specifically, sushi want to try a new twist on things, this is a place to go. Between a sushi burrito, a sushi taco, or a sushi burger. You can not go wrong with these mind-blowing dishes. so as his quick prompt. And of course, the sushi is made to order. the ambiance is very chill. Relax fun, good music. Great place to go two either on a date or have a good time with your friends.

Yelp
WOW !!! Such a cute hidden gem in Mount Dora, Florida. Celebrated a birthday there. We had to wait like 20 mins because we had a huge group of 20. We sat in two tables. The place it cute small and very clean. Cute drawings on the wall and cute octopus everywhere. The food speaks for itself. They serve allot. The prices are reasonable. I had the Stuff Cheese and crab Ragon. I thought it would be small, but they were huge. By the time my dish came out I was already full. The service was the best she can do with such a huge group. A: For effort on the waitress part. As you can see in the photos. Everything was delicious. My hubby got the sushi Hamburger. If you have a small stomach, then just order one and share. it's huge!!! Everything was cook fresh. Go surprise yourself for all you SUSHI lovers this place is a dream come true!!! PEEP PEE: The place needs to be bigger. other than that, nothing on a negative note to say!!!

Yelp
It's very cool corner, with a nice atmosphere, friendly and very attentive staff. That would guide you through the creative options that you would find here. They make sushi pizza, sushi bagels, sushi burritos, sushi tacos and much more. I started with their Crab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks, because who doesn't like mozzarella and crab rangoon and the fact that they come together is a plus (It is a must on their menu). Following that I had their poke pizza, it was a hard choice to make, but it did not disappoint. It is sushi served in the form of a slice of pizza, super delicious and creative. I would definitely go back when I'm in town, I need to try everything on their menu.

Yelp
The setup and ambiance is a little underwhelming. The tables set up and spacing make this seem more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. In addition, the lighting is a bit bright. Perhaps they should add dimmers and adjust it to a more welcoming vibe. We started with the edamame, a beer and a cucumber sake drink. My wife enjoyed the cucumber martini but felt it was a little on the sweet side. The garlic edamame was delicious and held its "snap". We ordered the Paradise roll wrapped in cucumber and the tuna burrito for the main course. I don't think I've ever seen a cucumber roll not peeled but it was ok. The sushi burrito was different but was what I expected from a deep fried sushi roll. It was filled with plenty of tuna and overall an experience that I would try once but not multiple times. Side note the music was good. "Different Sushi Lunch" 4/5 Date night dinner 2.5/5

Yelp
My son has been here before and said we had to try. Very cool sushi place. Love the concept and the design of their dishes. The portions are huge so be mindful when ordering. Everything was so good. After we sat down some locals generously provided us with some tips. Our waitress was great too , I forgot to ask her name. She helped us with pics and suggestions based on what we told her we liked. The Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks were so yummy. My only complaint is that my stomach isn't big enough because I wanted to try so many things . Next time we are in town I guess we will have to come back !!

Yelp
Absolutely incredible, everything I was hoping for and more! I found Wave on Instagram and wow do they live up to the hype. The food is just as gorgeous and innovative as it looks on their social media, the portions are generous, and the quality is fantastic. The service was great - our server Jess was very friendly, efficient and a pleasure to talk to. The cocktails were yummy and unique too. They only have beer and wine, but have a nice selection of speciality cocktails made with sake. We ordered the Crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks, the Crispy Rice sushi tots, Poke Sushi Pizza, Spicy Tuna sushi donut, and a Sushi Burrito. I would recommend any and all of it! Be warned though the portions are LARGE so don't fill up on apps. Couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly, one of the most fun date nights we've ever had!

Yelp
Well we have struggled to find anything worth while in the Leesburg area and ventured out to Mt. Dora after seeing Wave on yelp. We were not let down at all. What an incredible spot. We ordered far too much food but we had such a great meal. The sushi fries were phenomenal they do not skimp at all. We also tried the crab Rangoon cheese sticks and they were full of cheese pulls. The sushi was delicious and the portions are large. We took more than half of the food home with us. They easily modified certain rolls to our liking and were so kind to our son. They check on the table frequently. Best experience we have had in years. It is worth every penny.

Yelp
This is my 1st time at this very unusual sushi restaurant! In addition to the typical sushi/sashimi offerings they make sushi pizza, tacos, nachos, burritos, burgers and hot dogs!!! Everything out of rice and sushi! The food is beautifully presented, fresh and tasty! I ordered the unagi sashimi and a slice of sushi pizza. All delicious, beautifully plated and fresh. The service as also attentive. The background music was a bit loud for my preference but definitely tolerable. I will definitely return to this restaurant whenever I am in the mount Dora vicinity. I so wish they were closer as they are know my favorite go to spot for sushi. So glad to have stumbled across this restaurant's instagram. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
We honestly love the place, we drove 50 mins for the food ! Everything feels fresh and well made. We had mozzarella sticks they were very cheesy which I love, also the sushi hotdog with hot Cheeto crust it was just perfect. The hotdog is big enough to feed two depending on how hungry you are . Every bite was cooked to perfection. They were quick with their service and everyone was very attentive. This is my third time visiting wave and my first time at the this location, I'm happy they were able to expand they really deserve it. however it was a little hot ..something must be going with the AC. We wanted to try the ramen but decided not too because it was too hot inside. We still had a great time and enjoyed our food.

Yelp
My husband found this restaurant on Tik Tok, so while in Florida for work I had to go try it out! I got the sushi hotdog and it was amazing! So different and delicious. I'd love to go back to try the pizza and other items as well. Service was great and the food was great - worth the hour and a half drive! I'll be back.
