Where to Find Dong Phuong King Cakes in New Orleans for Carnival 2025 | Eater New Orleans

"This Waveland pharmacy is included among resellers that will have Dong Phuong king cakes available daily as of Jan. 3; given the regional reach, arriving early or calling ahead is advised to avoid sold-out inventory." - Clair Lorell

Love Waveland pharmacy. Mr. Rudy saved my children from the wrong antibiotics that would have killed them and was very kind in helping us get my beloved husband his life saving medicine. Thak you and God bless you all.

Mr. Rudy and his staff are like family to all their customers. We love them as they love us. Best Pharmacy in town.

Lovely little hidden gem in small-town USA! Old fashioned soda shop with a pharmacy, serving lots of blue bell ice cream choices by the scoop or get a banana split made fresh right when you order. Very helpful and friendly staff at pharmacy. Only negative thing I will say is about the very old dog they let roam around the store, barking loudly at nothing. Not a dog that should greet customers. But I liked this place too much not to give 5 stars.

I learned of this place after a medical procedure. This is the small town pharmacy that you have been missing. Good prices. Classic soda fountain available. Authorized vendor of Dong Phuong King Cakes. These are amazing. Get there early or try again tomorrow! Excellent service. Whatever your needs, the attentive empathetic staff try to provide you your items. Apparently, they also give CBD / Cannibus treatment. I don't use cannibus and am not familiar with this service.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Jennifer, the manager of this place, is the rudest, most miserable person I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. After having spent a large amount of money here on multiple occasions, trying to support local, I called to ask for a reprint of a receipt that I needed to submit for business purposes. The first employee I spoke to was very kind and said that wouldn’t be any issue, but that she’d need her manager’s assistance. I thanked her for her help, and then I started having to deal with Jennifer. Within that first interaction, I immediately noticed that she did not possess an ounce of kindness or customer service. She seemed irritated during the entire call, even though I was politely asking for help on a simple matter. I asked her if she could send me a copy of the receipt, as I work 45 minutes away, and she said “No. I’d have to use my personal number and there’s no way I’m doing that.” I never asked her to use her personal phone, so I asked about email, and she loudly sighed and asked for my email address. This was around 3:00 pm. I wait for an hour, and still haven’t received the email. I call back to follow up and make sure she copied my email address correctly, and I’m told (by another employee who was kind) that Jennifer will do it “when she gets time”. I never receive an email that day. I call back the following morning and have the pleasure of speaking directly with Jennifer again, and I cannot put into words how rude, condescending, and completely unbothered she was by such a simple request. Since she said they were “very busy” and that she would not take the 2 seconds it would take to send an email (couldn’t even guarantee she would do it during her 7 hour work day), I decided to leave work and drive 45 minutes to physically obtain this receipt. When I got there, there were 4 employees working and not another soul in or near the store. The receipt was sitting on the counter, and Jennifer was sitting on her phone looking just as rude as she sounds on the phone. I am someone who values simply being a good person and taking care of your customers. For that reason, I will not be supporting this business any longer, and I hope the owner will consider hiring a manager with a heart for people or at the very least, basic customer service skills.

Not a soul in the building and still stood at the front desk for 2-5 minutes while they chatted on the phones, had whispery conversations or simply finished their work before being asked, "how can I help you" by the ONLY person in the building who was working. Customer service is NOT their priority. They advertise an on site Doctor if you're a medical cannabis patient, but he isn't on site. "He'll be in, in over a month" no explanation no "sorry for the inconvenience". And as the one lady in the group who spoke to me was explaining what I would need to bring. The manager hits her with a "just stop" to the one employee who finished filling an order to help me. As she's explaining what I will need. Then frustratedly the manager snatched a paper from a stack and shoved it at me shaking it for me to take rather than using her words. I will NEVER be in this place again. And hope that someone out there has a better experience than I did. And all I had was a simple question. "Is the doctor in?" "No and he won't be for 2 months" probably don't advertise that he's "ON SITE" if he isn't. Wasted half of my work day thinking the website told me all I need to know. Just go see him. The scrawny blonde with red sores all over her face is Jennifer, the manager.

Yelp
Waveland Pharmacy is the ONLY authorized reseller of Dong Phuong king cakes on the Western Mississippi Coast and is a must stop for to pick up freshly baked king cakes before we return to Florida after our weekend Nereids trip. They have Caywood & Randazzo's and Paul's Pastry Shop, too, but y'all want to grab Dong Phuong's. Why? They are the BEST tasting king cakes and you'll save yourself the drive into Louisiana. Special tip! You can get one king cake per person (this includes kids!) and then you have to get back in line to get more. If you have a need for more than one, make sure you bring some folks with you so you don't have to keep getting back in line.

Yelp
Locally owned pharmacy with a friendly staff. Ever get tired of the Wal-Mart mania and the staff that just doesn't seem to have time to help? If so, try Waveland Pharmacy. They even have an old time soda fountain and bluebell ice cream cones. Nice place to shop.
