Wax Club

Went for the first time because I was looking for a new wax place. Lobby is beautiful but the waxing rooms are a different story. Unfortunately wax room was dirty all around and they are reusing tweezers without any sanitation procedures between clients. Will not be returning.

If you are in need for an amazing blow-out that would last forever looking perfectly as in day 1, Jasmin is your person. I would drive an hour or more for her service! Take my word for it! Also, I love that she is both kind and super professional

Tribeca 1st impression - Beautiful lobby, then I asked to use the restroom and wow. There were 2 bathroom and I walked into one -> no toilet paper and floor looks like it has not been swept. Walked into the other bathroom and there was JUST ENOUGH to use the bathroom once although definitely wished there was a little more. Also, the toilet was barely flushed and some other female had her monthly friend and there were left overs. It wasn't busy either - pretty sure I was the only customer there at that time so there's no excuse why the bathroom should have been so dirty. I got out of the bathroom and Dora was waiting for me - took me in the room and allowed me to undress and everything and I got 3 full services done. She was super thorough and was extremely friendly. She made sure I was comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend her. I would give her alone 5 starts, however that first impression of dirty restroom is just something not forgivable.

This is a beautiful place to walk into, glam and cozy. No one tries to sell you a million products that do not work. You are in and out. I wholeheartedly recommend Nae. She's quick and makes you comfortable enough so that you literally feel pain for about 2 seconds after the strip is gone. I love that it is super clean, I can literally see that there is absolutely no double dipping. The wax is perfect, not toooo hot and soothes my sensitive skin. The membership is also very worth it!

Best place I have been to! The staff is amazing, they make you feel welcomed. I had the best experience with Marina Lantigua such a wonderful person and made me feel comfortable.Natalee at the front desk is also a loving person makes you feel like she knows you for years lol. The place is beautiful, waxing is great and fast! Took two of my friends and they loved it ! Totally recommend this place!!

Terrible wax- over 45 mins to do legs, came out with loads and loads of patches. Now getting lots of marks and small hairs as the wax was in all directions and done over and over again. Not worth a dime. (Have also been here for a haircut and that was great)

I've been going here for over two years and Symmantha is my go-to person every time! She's easy to talk to and does a great job!! If you find yourself going to get waxed (on anything) more than twice a month, than definitely upgrade to the montly unlimited package. It's so worth it and pays for itself.

Nice alot classier than I expected an I was worried about safety but the security was on point the camera where active the place was a vibe with class they where up beat an fun enjoyed my time will return soon ....

Do NOT waste your time. The "blowout" involved her using 6 round brushes being stuck all in my hair to give it curls... then as she ripped them out of my head she had to use both hands. End result, she ripped actual hair out of my head.. it was horrible. Now I have SO many flyaways in the front and can't put my hair up without them sticking out. My brow waxes have also been pointless. I've gone around 3x and regret it every time. She does not do a good job. And normally the owners comment is nothing but trying to be professional and help turn this costumer around... well sweetie, I have been there and use a diff name. So no, not bogus. Nice try though ;)

I have been to the Wax Club multiple times and recently had an eyebrow waxing there that I was not satisfied. However, the store owner reached out to me to address the issue professionally. She is very helpful and I believe they truly care about their customers.

And the one star stays. You were NOT EXPLICIT WITH DETAILING THAT IT'S AN ANNUAL CONTRACT that I was agreeing to! And I don't care if the services that I received amounted to a million dollars! Don't attempt to bait and switch and then complain. Or enact a business model that's unsustainable. Furthermore, Natalie, you wouldn't have refunded my payment if you were in the right. You have NO PROOF that I agreed to such terms and that's why you couldn't LEGALLY CHARGE ME FOR THEM. As with the gym membership analogy, they make their policy utterly clear so there's no confusion. And the promotion that you told me about (I'm assuming the receptionist/ manager is the person responding to this review) is how I described in my original review. Filter your damn policy and make sure you are CLEAR and CONCISE before you go on the defense because of a just and fair critique. Amend your membership policy or explain it clearly before you find fault with Yelp and the reviews they choose to publish. Take the good with the bad and learn from it. G'day!

I love this place. I have been a customer for several years and keep coming to this location (even though I live in New Jersey). The main reason is Elena (who I have been following for many years from her previous salons, etc.). She is the best, super nice, professional, attentive to "every detail". She knows her job really well, has lots of experience doing it and making customers like me very happy and satisfied. If you really want to see the difference, don't listen to any negative reviews, make an appointment and see for yourself. Thank you Wax Club, and especially Elena. Can't wait for my next appointment!

From the website, I was expecting a classy relaxing space that would pamper its clients. It was just average; I was not pampered at all. Also, I'm not sure if they stopped, but in a prior review it was stated that reception has bottles of prosecco on display as well as signage that alerts clients to a variety of beverages from prosecco to wine and even specialty coffees - this wasn't the case on my visit. As to the wax, I got my lower legs done, at other salons that I've been to, this includes the knees, however it didn't here. Also, after the waxing was done, there was no after wax treatment done to my legs; when I got dressed I noticed that my legs still has powder and wax on them. So while this place was fine, it wasn't the elegance or tranquility that I was looking for.

Had a brazilian and underarm done last night. It's def a cute place. The wax rooms are very small and I had to move in ways I'm not used to when getting a wax. I was a bit disappointed, they advertise and offer prosecco with the waxes. I never got nor I was offered. Honestly that's what got my attention to this place! I thought wow a wax and some nice service. Meh. ----- Update** SOOOO but so many ingrowns after this wax!!! Never in my life has that happened my skin was so irritated! Never again.

I have been coming here for two years and have had consistently amazing service. Elena goes above and beyond to make sure my needs are met! The salon is super clean and staff is very professional. Staff does everything in their power to make sure clients are comfortable. Come here! You will not regret it!

Went in after getting this promo in the mail, the woman at the front desk said "that's only when you buy another wax." I pointed out it didn't say that anywhere and she said "well it's expired anyway." Doesn't say either of those things anywhere on this and with that type of business model who knows what the $89 "unlimited" waxing actually means.

I did not have time to get my hair done before I came to visit the City - Thank you Wax Club & Hair Beca for squeezing me in for a Beautiful Haircut & Highlights!! Jasmine and Genta did an AMAZING job!! Now I'm ready for the City!! Thanks again! I will be back!!!

Love this salon! They use hard wax, it almost doesn't hurt and keeps ur skin smooth. All the estheticians are experienced, never had a problem. They always offer me water and Prosecco. The salon is very big and clean. Suck a luxury feeling the second you step in the place. Highly recommend it!!

Jasmin and Genta did a wonderful job! I got bayalage and it looks amazing. Nice touch with a glass of prosecco to relax me while getting beautified! Very nice work!

This place deserves 0 star!! Stay away from this place! Their deal is a scam! Horrible experience at wax club in Tribeca! Tribble management, rude owner! I got their deal and didn't barely used it! First of all the room are dirty and since they touching your skin be careful! I have allergy to the wax they use and the Management told me if you request soft wax we will get it and she never got it! I made appointment few time went there and she told me we didn't get it. She couldn't even tell me a day before !! Didn't even use my membership for nearly 2 months still got charged! I made an appointment on Monday and request soft wax they made the appointment wrong and when I showed up on Wednesday they said don't have the wax after I got upset they said bring your own wax didn't use my wax and I could not get wax only half way bikini and they burnt me! I said I'm traveling and need wax done they don't even care about customer just give your card they charge it every month they good at that!! They BURNT my skin 2 times and didn't even care. Also got all the ingrown hair with the cheap wax they use! After they burnt me the owner offer to give one month back and asked me to don't contact with them how professional didn't even use it last month got half way wax and got burnt! This place is WOW! Not even care about the burn and your situation! Very rude and unprofessional ! STAY AWAY FROM WAX CLUB!

If you're thinking about getting a wax, this is the place to go! Not only is it a luxurious experience from the second you step in, you also feel at home here. You can sit back and drink a bottle of rosé before your wax even. Oh and the wax comes off so smooth and silky (hard wax, NOT soft wax) and basically painless. I recommend this place to everyone! Way better than the franchises like European wax and bliss

Really bad experience here. The aesthetician, Dora: 1) didn't test the wax on her own skin before putting it on mine, so it burned me. When she then did a test on her own skin she agreed that it was too hot but her response was simply to shrug. 2) told me off for requesting strip wax rather than the thick pink "hot wax" that they use here, telling me that she probably didn't have enough and I should have requested it ahead of time, 3) was wearing a filthy uniform, 4) generally had a pretty horrible attitude from the get-go. Spare yourself. I know the location is good, but Shobha in Fidi or Soho are so much better. I'm giving it a couple of stars for location and cleanliness but everything else was really bad.

Absolutely amazing! Such a cute place. Free champagne and an amazing staff. Kenya was the best. I had a Brazilian for the first time in over a year and she kept me laughing the whole way through. This is definitely my new go to. It's very affordable and easy to get to!

Lovely place. I had almost every individual hair pulled from my body by Mariana. She was amazing and made me feel very comfortable considering I'm pretty self conscious. I will return to her for the rest of my life! :)

My review of this place is so scathing and negative that I am not even sure how to put it in words. My first problem is the young stuck up receptionist who chastised me for being late (which i notified her about by phone) because she wanted to close early. They close at 7, my appointment was at 6, I was in a meeting prior and called to say I would be 10 minutes late. I was 13 minutes late instead. There were no other clients on the books and the place was dead. I had booked the appointment a mere 2 hours before even coming in! I have been getting waxed AT THIS LOCATION regularly and it is on their books. Anyone knows that after waxing regularly that it becomes quicker and easier and hair more sparse. My records reflect that the type of wax I was scheduled for only takes 10 minutes or less and the service at maximum time is scheduled for significantly less than 40 minutes! I was literally SCOLDED. The front desk attitude queen was packing up here things (at 6:12) and clearly getting ready to shut down early and was upset that she couldn't. I asked her to get the waxing technician who has seen me before and ask if she would get "as much done as possible" and that i would respect if she couldn't complete the whole service (although i knew she could). Instead, she said to me "THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN, YOU CANNOT BE DOING THIS AGAIN WE CLOSE AT 7 and now we have to stay later." It was 6:14 at this point. I was in and out of my service in less than 10 minutes. So they got to close early and I found wax all over me when I got home! Every technician there except for Elena leaves tons of wax on you and is not thorough. Skip this place and go down the street to European Wax Center. At least they run an honest business and don't scold their loyal customers like children.

AMAZING PLACE!!! First time waxing and I had an amazing experience ! Symmantha took care of my service, and she made me feel super comfortable ! I loved my experience, and the staff, that I signed up for the monthly membership! Defiantly check this place out, and if it's your first time like me, don't be scared! These ladies know exactly what they're doing!

First few times I went here for a Brazilian, things were fine. Wax was decent, just very minor irritation afterwards and I can live with that. However my most recent visit was a disaster. I had a different waxer who I guess must have been pretty inexperienced. She wasn't very quick about pulling wax off, so yeah, that made things more painful than necessary. A few days later bikini area was covered with ingrown hairs/irritated hair follicles and hair was already growing back which means the waxer didn't use proper technique to remove hair from the root. I don't even want to wear underwear right now because with all this irritation it's super uncomfortable . Ughhhh. Not going back.

Love this place! I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. Dora is my go to to but Elena and Symmantha are great as well! The service is great and I can't wait to come here for blowouts now!

Ok so i have been a member since day 1 and i absolutely love Wax Club. Such a great addition to Tribeca. All the staff a super friendly and you leave with a top notch wax job. Also, its clean and spotless unlike half the trash salons in the area. Love it when i see Kenya...she makes waxing so much more fun!!!

This was hands down one of the best wax experiences I've had. Such a clean place, and the staff is amazing. I had Marina and she was wonderful, really knows her stuff, and a pro at making everything painless. You won't find a better membership deal with such a lux service. The owner Marcy is a charm and really cares about her customers. Recommended all the way.

This place is not sanitary for waxing. The rooms are dirty, floors look like they haven't been swept in a year. They had a fan blowing on me during the wax that had wax all over it. They didn't wipe anything off the skin after the wax. It is not tranquil or elegant as they claim.

I have been a member of Wax Club for about 2 1/2 years now and highly recommend it! I have the unlimited body waxing membership and it's the best deal in Manhattan for waxing. Get an appointment with Olena, she is the best and gives a great wax. You can't go wrong at Wax Club!

I should have listened to the reviews. The waxer was careless. She waxed areas that I didn't want waxed and didn't wax the areas I did want. She wasn't looking to see where hairs were at all. I never post reviews but this place is horrible.

This place is amazing! But the only reason i started going there was because of their wax specialist Dora, who took a job here. She is really great! She makes sure to do the upmost perfect job. I would follow her anywhere. The place is really easy to find and super clean.

This place was the best when it first opened, but recently I just do not feel the same. My favorite waxer left which is just sad because she was the best one there. I was mistreated by another waxer as she was covering the front desk just because I was late to my appointment. The only perks for being a member is the "good" deal that you are paying for,other than that I just did not feel the "member treatment." I may be wrong because this could have just happened to me; however that should also portray the unfair treatment.

Terrible service at the reception by Milana! Extremely rude, and unwelcoming! Don't go. Also check your credit card as they charge you more than you authorise and supposedly pay.

Natalie the receptionist was super nice and very accommodating. I was in a rush today and they were very busy but she still found a way to get me in. And Nay was very sweet and quick with the wax. Will be returning soon. Great prices too.

Revising from my previous review as management has reached out to make good. They respected my feedback and offered to return as a guest of theirs or refund. I chose the refund however, they did offer to return to work with Elizabeth rather than Simone. In short - make sure to book with Elizabeth and know that this is a new business and still working out the kinks. Hopefully they will continue to offer strong customer service and improve over time.

This is my third trip there today. I was delayed bc of the train and had to reschedule my appointment for about a hour later which is good. I got a Brazilian wax but the woman who waxed me -Dora didn't do the best job. I still had hair in areas and she left me a mess with a bunch of wax pieces all over and told me there's wipes to clean myself up. It's very disappointing considering I paid 40 for subpar waxing. No offense to Dora she's seems nice but the job she did wasn't great. I think next time I'll just go to European waxing center 2 blocks up. 2 stars for easily rescheduling. The room I was in had a bunch of little black stuff (hair maybe I'm not sure) stuff on the floor so it wasn't the cleanest.

Great experience with their waxing in general and with the monthly club membership in particular. Services are fast and effective, and they maintain the right amount of staff to have good availability when you need it. Dora, Kenya, Symmantha, Elizabeth, and Nataniella all do a great job - each is professional but friendly and makes you feel comfortable. At first I was a little skeptical of the monthly membership -- I did not think I would manage to use it enough to have it make financial sense. But I decided to try it, and now I am totally converted. About 9 months into it, I can't imagine not having the monthly membership. Highly recommend giving Wax Club and the monthly membership a try.

I just had to write yet another update for this place. Had my 3rd visit and have experienced a different aesthetician each time (Marina, Dora and Kenya so far) and they're all so good at what they do and the service level is consistently outstanding here from the pricing to calling to get an appointment to the actual waxing itself! Again, very highly recommended.

Have been here twice for eye brow waxing Each time was with a different waxer. Both were equally quick, clean, and did they great job. Front desk help was lovely. Great experience and I will definitely go back again.

So glad to finally have a clean & professional place in the neighborhood to get waxed. I've walked in twice (once for an eyebrow wax and once for a Brazilian). I was welcomed in and didn't have to wait long even though I didn't have an appointment. I've been looking for a place that uses hard wax and so glad I found Wax Club. The price point for a Brazilian wax ($45) is very reasonable. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Dont get me wrong the place is really pretty and the waxing is great! I usually tip when I go there to get wax, but the one time I didn't tip it was a very huge deal. I get it we all have to make our money, but it was highly rude of the receptionist to call me saying "Um our technician said you didn't tip her. I said "ok its just one time" The receptionist made me feel so bad by saying I should tip always, so I went back to tip the last few dollars I had on me. I was so upset just because of the one time I didn't have enough money on me they were being greedy about it. Just make sure when you go there you have money on you or in your bank account to TIP ALWAYS!!!! Or they will make you feel like crap!

The owners contacted me over the weekend and explained that this was the grand opening phase. They were very apologetic for the service I received and offered me a refund / additional free service.

Wax Club actually feel like a club! Everyone is super nice and I just loved Simone. The place is very clean and they do a great job - such a great job that you feel like going back! Never has waxing been so easy! I highly recommend.
