Google
Their hours are not transparent or clear. Even after checking their updated hours, they are not open this Wednesday at 5pm. They did not announce this on their social media. Otherwise, their computers are good although the ping/internet is subpar for a gaming cafe (I had 30-100ms).

Google
Quality place with good food and very polite workers! A great place for the gaming community. Definitely check it out! They also have a very unique arcade version of "Enter the Gungeon!"

Armando Valle

Google
Stopped by after not been in a long while. Glad to see it’s still in operation even after the pandemic. Space is still nicely kept and the computers are top rate. Be aware the hours of operation have changed—it’s 4pm to 12am on weekdays.

Google
The best Gaming cafe in Manhattan! Really friendly staff. Came into play on one of their many high powered pc’s and enjoy some games but always distracted by the wide variety of Trading Cards available. Spent way to much time looking through there random box of cards full of Dbz, One Piece & Digimon cards as well as Pokémon and final Fantasy! Their pastry’s are delicious, and offer a nice menu, with personal Pizzas, wings, mozzarella sticks. They offer everything at a fair price, $5 an hour for pc’s with bonuses, huge selection of loose cards & binders, with a wide TCG community, Couldn’t recommend this place enough to the gamingcommunity! They hold weekly Trading Card Tournaments and I look forward to going to this place in the future! Only down side, on multiple occasions I & other people have arrived an hour or 2 before closing and the shop is already closed. Even got turned away by employees closing up literally a hour before their posted closing time when I really wanted to buy some trading cards. Rather disappointing a lack of business causes them to go back on their own schedule.

Google
Great place, great folks working there! Will come again! Plus they had WoW which really made me happy back in 2023!

Google
very nice staff, atmosphere was great. :) had to switch like 3 computers to actually start playing. had problems starting league, can get a little frustrating spending 30 minutes only on waiting for the computer to unfreeze, but if u explain it to the staff they will compensate. price was great

Google
I went to the NYXL watch party organized by the 5 Deadly Venoms guys, so my review isn't really about the place as an internet cafe (since I didn't sit down on any of their computers to play games or anything like that), but as a spot for an e-sports watch party. And it was absolutely fantastic for that, Waypoint was totally on board with the watch party and had no problems with us NYXL fans making a LOT of noise rooting for the team while playing the game. The prices are quite low for Manhattan, and the strawberry lemonade and chocolate muffin I had were very good. My only negative is that it seemed like food was being fried right behind the counter, and the smell was quite strong and noticeable for a few minutes. Mind you, it smelled delicious and actually made me hungrier, but if you dislike the aroma of fried food it would have been bothersome. And it was just the smell, there was no grease in the air or the floor (which was spotless, as was the rest of the cafe).

Google
Lack of cleanliness on PCs, mouse, keyboards without some keys, smelly headphones, not to mention that their PCs crash... They lack more interest in providing a better experience, their price is not worth it...

Yelp
Me and my partner came to Waypoint for a Magic The Gathering event over the weekend. It was our first time at the cafe and first time at a Magic event. We are total beginners and the staff and other players were all super kind. Andy, the staff member that runs their MTG events, was really welcoming and the event was really fun! The vibe was super local and cozy. The space is really clean and they've got a bunch of tables to play games at, as well as the PC booths in the back. We'll definitely be back!

Adam H.

Yelp
Stopped by here with my son a few times during an NYC visit last month. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the vibe was fun, the price is right, and I suspect it'll be my son's most vivid memory of going to New York when he was 12. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Yelp
We came here for coffee and drinks before heading to EWR airport. We were dragging our luggages around and we needed a place where we can sit down and bring our luggage in with us without blocking the walkway. The cafe is huge. There is an online game section or a bunch of computers at the back where gamers can hang out. Basically this is an internet cafe. I am very surprised because I didn't know internet cafe still exists today. Anyways, I got a cappuccino $4.50 and H got a drip coffee $4. The drinks here are pricy and very average. On top, portion size of the drinks were super small (smaller and more expensive than what you get at a regular cafe shop). Also note that they didn't update their prices when we arrived and we were told that when paying that everything is $1 more than the listed price. They have the fancy coffee / espresso machine here but the drinks were still meh. I am not a gamer so I probably won't be back.

Yelp
I often come here when doing my laundry or wanting a break from the house and it's amazing. The Food is nice and fits the cafe theme and the place is cleaned and taken care of. The staff are nice and respectful, and overall they do really well at making people feel welcomed, gamer or not.

Maram A.

Yelp
Cool place. They have a cafe and there's lots of video games to play. They also have meetups. A fun experience.

Zheng J.

Yelp
Nice set up for gamer. Friendly staff and reasonable price. The drink is not the best but they do sell bottle water. The only complain I have is the frying smell.

Arden W.

Yelp
This place SAVED me. Starbucks on Delancy was closed (weird ...) and I needed to get to a cafe with internet ASAP for a work call. Bless Yelp for finding this gem around the corner. Great internet connectivity, nice (and cool) staff, good/cheap coffee, and some cool-looking games. Good vibes overall for really anything you might need. Thank you Waypoint, xoxo Ardy Ps only con - a bit noisy but AirPods were fine

Jack L.

Yelp
Pretty good experience in general. It's $5/hr which isn't terrible pricing. The actual computer area is quite clean, has plenty of fancy LED lighting, and have nice clicky HyperX keyboards. The computers come pre-installed with most common games like league, valorant, dota, csgo, fortnite, etc. These popular games generally have low minimum requirements to run on your own computer, so I really would only be going for the social experience, lack of a capable computer, or when you're traveling. I think the staff could be a bit more patient, but none of my interactions were egregious.

Darya S.

Yelp
This is a special place because it's a gamer cafe, and even though I'm not into games, I love that this exists so gamers can feel at home and enjoy playing with others who are into the hobby. It's more of a Mecca than a regular cafe. They have free WiFi (password is BuySomething) and to play games there, you need an account, which you load money onto. It's clear that the majority of people who come are regulars. Cool place. The reason I'm giving it two stars is because 1- the coffee was really bad, and for $2.5 at a local place, I'd expect something better than what I could get at a city cart, and 2- the service is only friendly to people who come regularly, and this is not cool. The girl with the purple hair totally shrugged me off, and Ryan, the tall guy, was really rude to an older man who came in. I didn't enjoy watching that and it left me with a bad taste. If you're going to run a cafe for unusual, not mainstream, not your run-of-the-mill guys who likely didn't feel welcome elsewhere before coming here, then you've gotta be kind and welcoming to everyone, not just your regulars.

Karina T.

Yelp
It was almost 12:30PM and I was without a drip of coffee in my system . (Shame on me). I also checked google instead of yelp to find coffee. (Shame on me x2). This place is more for gamers and they sell coffee. I didn't trust it going in but had a bit of hope and ordered a mocha for $5. The person taking the order was sitting and I couldn't see who or if someone was talking to me. (I wouldn't mind that, if my coffee was great tbh.) They made my coffee and it was ok... Very special place that has such a cool gamer/ soho vibe though. I didn't get very far since I was there for the coffee.

Yelp
I spent around 5-6 hours here with one of my friends and had a really good time. The food was solid and the chairs were comfortable enough to sit in for long periods of time. Pretty enjoyable experience and is arguably the best Internet Cafe in NYC, but I have a couple suggestions that could help improve other peoples experiences (for the PCs) 1. There isn't enough desk space to play at a low sensitivity. I constantly hit my right hand against the dividers whenever I had to wide flick, possibly removing the dividers or spacing them out more could allow for that. 2. The computers are unoptimized and the animated wallpaper runs in the background so there are often FPS spikes. I've been to other Internet cafes that run on Gameleap as well, there's a way to make the wallpapers freeze when out of focus. Another setting that should be accessible are your mouse pointer settings when accessing the "settings" tab under your profile. All the computers have a setting enabled called "enhance pointer precision", which basically gives mouse acceleration and it should be disabled since it isn't optimal for shooter games. 3. This Internet cafe could be amazing if you added some form of AC or temperature regulator since it can get pretty hot in there after sitting for 3-5 hour sessions.

Yelp
This spot is super cool! I'm not a gamer, but all my friends are so we came here after a friend's birthday dinner while we were in the area. The front section is a cafe set up with seating, TVs and the counter from which food, drinks, and account access can be purchased. Further inside is the Internet café, with high quality chairs, mechanical keyboards, mouse, headsets, and essentially everything you imagine gamers would want. An hour of internet / computer access is 5 dollars and the fifth hour is free if you pay for the first four. The guys running this place were very nice and helpful in explaining how their system worked, and also allowed us to bring and eat the birthday cake we brought without fuss or charge. In fact, they set us up with utensils, plates, and a cake cutting knife without us having to ask. They serve a variety of snacks and pastries, Harvey and Son's teas, coffees, and recently introduced a lavender latte - so, all the essentials really. It got pretty packed by the end of the Saturday night, but not rowdy, so seems like a good late night place for a low-key night.

Nan P.

Yelp
I'm not a gamer but this place is good for working with your laptop. Pretty spacious too.

A C.

Yelp
Great little gaming cafe with really kind staff. I used to live nearby, and having Waypoint Cafe as a neighbor was great -- if our internet was out or we got locked out of the apartment, they'd have really affordable computers to chill on. I've also picked up a huge bag of pastries for cheap from them with the TooGoodToGo app, and just generally found everyone there to be really helpful and nice regardless of what circumstance brought me to their door. So it's funny, I don't play video games, but often ended up at Waypoint Cafe for other reasons because it's such a helpful and welcoming place.

Marceau L.

Yelp
This place is f**king awesome. Imagine an atmosphere like that show Cheers but for gamers, and computer nerds. If starbucks and gamestop had a baby this is what would be born. -Made to order coffee on tap. -The staff is like your friends working behind the counter. -BE ADVISED kids are allowed but there's cussing and foul language cause when youre an actual gamer "it be like dat" Family atmosphere from the time you step foot inside and battle stations as far as the i can see. Starbucks can eat it because this place has more outlets than people and knee weakening wifi speeds. 52 inch TV's line the walls for all kinds of twitch streams and fortnite tournys and anime. harwood floors. classroom style chair though, so not very comfortable for long periods of time. The battle stations all have gaming chairs though. Also memorabilia on all the shelves.

Yelp
I went here last night, and the impression I left with was "this place is so cool." Not only was everyone playing smash as you walk in, but the staff was just incredibly friendly and had great customer service. It felt like I came to their house and they were a great host. The dude who doesn't know how to make grilled cheeses (sorry I didn't ask for a name!!) helped us most of our experience and he is probably one of the most friendly people I've interacted with, who was at their job. We didn't feel awkward asking any questions or for help. We used the computers in the back and getting set up was really simple. It's cool that your hours stay in your account to use next time and that the cafe is flexible about games that they have and download. My friend got a grilled cheese and they used thick toast and three cheeses. It's great the food is actually good and not cheap crap. Hardly anything wrong, only a couple of annoyances: The desk and chair height was a little messed up for me. I needed the chair all the way up to comfortably use the desk, but my legs were not at the right height. It's hard to please everyone's height though. The other customers got HEATED and loud. But that's not the stores fault at all. It just made playing multiplayer games with my friend a bit hard to hear. Overall, had a great time and would love to come here again! Hope non-grilled cheese chef is getting treated right here, he's a gem of a worker.

Shaunette W.

Yelp
Wasted time this morning that I didn't have, didn't know they didn't have Microsoft word and it's strictly a gamer space. Should of went to the library, appreciated the refund but the lack of help made my experience frustrating.smh

zaria a.

Yelp
They have awesome service very great food amazing customer service. I love the space and how quite it can be.

Patricia W.

Yelp
Oh my God, Waypoint Cafe was certainly extremely good. The atmosphere is a delight. I have never tried something that i didn't absolutely love. Team are super helpful and service is very fast. Def coming back soon.

Bionic F.

Yelp
Pros: Awesome decor (love the Moogle on the shelf and Indiebox releases!) Very clean and cute. Also, they have Bawls. Cons: Nothing, really! If I had to give one critique, maybe add a few more chips or snacks to the menu, bc I will probably just live here from now on. I stopped into Waypoint for lunch and to explore NY's first gaming cafe! The place was not too busy, I'm assuming everyone shows up after work/school or at the parties. This place has everything you need for a good time: a fridge full of energy drinks and some kickass RGB rigs. I love the fact that these guys carry Bawls. It's one of my favorites, and aside from ordering a gigantic case of it online, I'm never able to get it in individual cans, so this alone is awesome. Also got the Mexican Beef Burrito, which is very good! They also have Intelligentsia coffee and delicious pastries. I'm really looking forward to coming here more and hoping it becomes a new hub for gamers. I tend to play solo, story heavy RPGs at home, so I am not as familiar with multiplayer stuff (aside from FFXIV) and I'm excited to bring my laptop and play around actual people IRL. Overall, I'm really impressed that there is a new gaming cafe in town! This place is a must-visit if you're a gamer in the city. This is my first time here, but I can already tell this will become one of my new favorite coffeeshops.

Odey L.

Yelp
Awesome place! Chicken sandwich is great to. Had a bite here with some friends and its the perfect place to hang. Friendly staff to. Especially the big dude Ryan. :D

Bryan M.

Yelp
Honestly, one of the best places throughout the whole city. I travel from Queens to come here even though there's a lot of closer gaming cafes. I don't know if he's the owner or just a very excellent worker; but there's this one guy who is so nice, that it's contagious. At waypoint, there's a lot that they offer for different types of gamers and yet it seems like one huge community that doesn't discriminate. I never have felt the need to write a review before but this one deserves the hype.

Dan C.

Yelp
This place is probably one of my favorite venues in the city, HAHA. I wouldn't say I'm a die-hard gamer by any means, but it's a good way to kill time when you have a free day during a chill weekend. Waypoint has exceptional rigs and setups, their chairs are super comfortable, and the staff beyond anything makes the experience that much better. On a given weekend day, it's $25 for an all-day pass, which is a pretty sweet deal, and starts out-valuing the $20/5 hours at the 6-hour mark. That being said, you'll probably end up killing the whole day here anyways. Haven't tried the food, but their teas are really really good, and they're super cool about you bringing in outside food and drinks.

Emily G.

Yelp
This little hole in the wall cafe is one of the many places in NewYork City where people come to be entertained and grab a good smoothie! Waypoint Cafe is a safe place for gamers and esport enthusiasts, offering a generous menu of items and computers to play on. The whole process is stress free and very simple to complete. The staff and fellow gamers in this cafe are so welcoming and friendly! Waypoint cafe is one of those places you will never forget going to, and makes you want to go back the second you leave, although they do close early in the night on week days, they open early so you can hop right back into your game.

Raymond F.

Yelp
Great place to hangout and play games. Computers and equipment is great, and the selection of games is also comprehensive. Girlfriend said the beverage selection was also on point. Prices are reasonable and overall an amazing comfortable place to hangout! For those of you coming here to do things, please buy something. Don't be cheap, or these places will go out of business.

ellie p.

Yelp
nice environment, good computers with decent connection! totally recommend this place for casual gaming or if you're looking to study or get some work done.

Ivonne P.

Yelp
This place is PHENOMENAL! Every single staff member is Awesome but Shaquanna is the woman to ask for when you need to get things done! Lol Three kids on a Saturday afternoon. Wait time was a little over an hour and Shaquanna made sure they were all entertained playing other video games while they waited for the computers to play Fortnite. Prices are definitely reasonable ($5/hr per person) and the coffee is great as well! I would 100% recommend to come here and let the kiddos play.

Elliott B.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Think back to the early 2000s when LAN parties were still a thing and you'd spend hours playing counter strike until you became so pale that your mom thought you turned albino. Relive those days in a cool sleek environment in LES with good coffee, pastries, even a storm trooper. The rigs are well maintained and comfortable. The prices are super reasonable. The real question is why aren't you there right now pwning newbs in pubg while downing a double espresso

George L.

Yelp
I was here with my son playing fortnite. They place was kinda half filled when we were the there. They do make a good cup of coffee. We be back again.

Adino W.

Yelp
Amazing gaming cafe! Tons of great high-end desktop computers, a couple TVs to play console games on, and a number of tables where you can play boardgames or other games you love. The staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful, and they keep the gaming cafe clean which is a plus. They also serve an assortment of coffee and snacks so you can stay energized while you game. Lastly, the energy and vibe in this place is awesome and there is a great sense of community, fun, happiness, and inclusion. Definitely check it out if you are looking for a great place to game with great people!

A. Wolfram K.

Yelp
Unfortunately there is no AC here and no limits on how hard children are allowed to screech, but still the best gaming cafe in the city

Adam B.

Yelp
I went there today to check it out because I had been putting it off for a while (I get busy). I've never been in a cleaner cafe. I mean, with all the pc gaming rigs in there, they can't afford to let dust pile up. It was so sleek and spotless, especially with how packed it was. There were around 30+ stations to rent and nearly each one was taken. There were also standard cafe tables for "hang-out" customers or card/small board gaming, and these were full, too! Everyone I talked to was nice, and the mocha was excellent (tasted like they added honey or something similar, and that was honestly delicious). It appeared that they had their own unique launcher for their available games. I would assume that's standard (never been to a net cafe before), and the printed price options were really attractive. Plus, your unused time rolls over and accumulated on your account, so you're never wasting money if you have to leave early. I didn't get an close-up in-the-case inspection of the rigs, but can confirm they're all 1060 GPUs, water-cooled i5-7700 CPUs (THIS I might have blurry memory on. They might be K versions.). Don't know the RAM, but I'd be surprised if they had less than 16 gigs. All the machines are carbon copies as is, again, an assumption, per usual. They even have a special sound-proofed room set up for streaming with 3-monitor setup, camera, mics, and lighting kit. They host events, too, and I'll definitely be back with friends to hang out, at least.

Brian G.

Yelp
Awesome place! My kid had lots of fun for a great price. The employees are very helpful and the environment is great.

Dylan C.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised that the place still gets packed to this day, It has so many games such as, League of Legends, Valorant, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Overwatch and SO much more. I think it literally has it all. Great service. Great food and beverage options although it's a little pricey depending who you ask. Internet was fast. And you get to hear people rage. It's a fun community of New York gamers.

F K.

Yelp
Finally a real gaming cafe in nyc. Tons of computers food and good people! They have all the popular games!

Liang Z.

Yelp
This place deserves 5 stars. Signing up was easy. Adding hours was easy. Logging on to the computers were easy. However 1.They didnt have the game path of exile, it way more popular than diablo 3, i dont know why they don't have that game on their computers. Its one of the top free to play games. 2.Some of the games were not updated but thats not really an issue, i just lost 4 mins, no big deal. Still I would recommend this cafe to anyone. You can check out what games they have on their website. (Just google waypoint cafe, should be the first link) PLEASE DOWNLOAD PATH OF EXILEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Yelp
Sweet cafe on Ludlow in the east village. The staff is really nice. A friend is a real gamer and she brought me here to hang out for a bit. There are two sections, really. The front is the cafe part with tvs and a\the counter area. Overall, a really nice spot with a unique concept.

Veronica C.

Yelp
Super dope concept, and I'm glad I checked It out. The store is spacious and warm with simple seating arrangements. Please snag a cup of cider- it's amazingly sweet and slightly tart. The chocolate chip cookie pairs nicely with the cider, and it was soft and packed with chips. We sat at a table right by the front, and to our left on the wall was a television screen showing someone playing some RPG game with a PIP style display. It's a quiet place to hop on WiFi and work on assignments. Head to the back and there are rows of comfy computer chairs filled with gamers hanging out. It's a really cool place to geek out, and the shop was nice and clean. I may return for finals week for a WiFi-cider combo. It's also really cool that they have a digital punchcard, so sign up and collect rewards!

Joseph C.

Yelp
I love this place, (although u have to show your I.D before u get your headphones, because some shit shows were stealing headphones) it's amazing they have GTX 1060 3gb, a lot of games, and the food here is really good, I really enjoy myself Everytime I come here, and the staff r really nice and r very helpful also, the place is also very kid friendly, and clean. It's $5 hr, if u pay more, u get bonus hrs, and the thing I hate that I have no control over is when this place is either booked, or there r no more PC's, there r 30 of them BTW. Other than that, this is the best internet cafe in NYC.

Preston N.

Yelp
Great spot to hang and play pc games with a great addition of a cafe. $5/hr or $20/5hrs.

Lorraine V.

Yelp
Amazing and personable staff, comfy chairs, yummy pastries and I'm about to try their drinks soon. Reasonable prices for the games you get, and they're open to adding more if they can get it on their systems. Super clean and the people there get loud but are generally not pains in the butt, so if you're worried about a rowdy crowd, breath a bit because everyone has been decent so far. It reminds me of internet cafes in the Philippines, except so much nicer for gaming. Haven't seen anyone using the computers for projects or paperwork or presentations, so I don't think it's that type of system, but I've seen people sit by the front and work on their where they have free seating tables. Not a quiet spot, so don't expect to be able to concentrate if noise bothers you. Overall an amazing spot!

Mel X.

Yelp
Just came here to print something and I don't know if he was the manager but some guy helped me out so much. The staff here are really friendly. It's $5 for an hour and about $3 to print something (it's expensive but so is ink) overall, good spot to lounge, eat a snack since they have a really cute cafe and or just be on here to use computer.

Larry J.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! Met great people there who are just super nice! Great PCs and great selection of games. Can sometimes get noisy but the environment is amazing!

Egor B.

Yelp
I love the setting and devices but internet been too unreliable lately ruining many games

Carson H.

Yelp
great setup.. if you want 10 year old kids screaming the f bomb at fortnite lol... people rage and hit things constantly pretty annoying to the other people. the kid next to me literally hit me for killing him but i wasn't going to hurt him because he definitely had some type of disability hence all the screaming.

Doug P.

Yelp
Great place. Had a very good time. The equipment was good and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!
