Been coming here for years. Great spot for snacks, lunch, even there strawberry shakes.

Carlos Galvis

Google
This is an incredible place for a quick juice break while biking. Earlier today, i discovered that they have incredible vegan burgers in the frozen section. Could not believe this gem of a product is available here. Fresh juices and take home amazing vegan burgers. I recommend both.

Alison Joslyn

Google
My new favorite smoothie stop while out cycling. I can highly recommend the strawberry banana freeze with honey. It’ll give you everything you need to carry on. Seating is comfortable and it has a very local feel. Lots of families pulling in on the way home from kids’ games. Looks like a nice selection of fruits, vegetables and baked goods not to mention coffee.

I’ve been coming to this great little market in Pinecrest for the past 15 years. It’s always been my go-to spot for quick bites and smoothies on the run. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been frustrating due to inconsistent service. The woman who has been working there over the last few months seems to have trouble moving customers through efficiently. It really shouldn’t take 10 minutes to ring someone up. This morning, I waited patiently, only to watch two people leave in frustration before I eventually walked out myself empty-handed. I truly love this place and want to keep supporting it, but something needs to be done to improve the checkout experience. Please fix this issue so we can all continue enjoying this neighborhood gem without unnecessary delays.

Google
Yesterday, I visited this place, and I thought that since it’s a fruit shop, the shakes would be more natural. I ordered a coconut one, and it honestly tasted like Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen with extra sugar… The flavor was very artificial and overly sweet. I told the person at the counter if I could exchange it, but they left me waiting and continued serving other customers.

Patrick Bellon

Google
We’ve been long time customers. Super upset to have to leave this review. The shakes and smoothies taste SO artificial now. Not sure what they changed, but very disappointed. Wont be back until I hear things are back to the way that they were.

Google
I ordered a key lime shake and it was delicious, I also got a chocolate cake from Garcia Nevett a local chocolatier selling at that market and it was so good 👏🏻🤤. They have a nice sitting area, I would recommend it if it’s raining, but it’s perfect for a sunny day.

Google
This is a great stop for a snack while biking, walking or running in the area. Kind of a locals place and pretty low key. It also serves hot and cold coffee now. You can also pick up smoothies, fruit, sandwiches, drinks, veggies and some small amount of supplies like milk, chips, premade chicken curry or chicken salad and produce. Staff are courteous and service is fast! Highly recommend 👏

Yelp
The place is unique with many choices of snacks and shakes. You will find many treats. The market has a variety of fruits and veggies as well.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years and it's always been a favorite- consistently great service and quality. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a major letdown. My husband and I went today and were extremely disappointed. The girl working the shakes counter was unfriendly, and the mango shake was basically just soft serve -- maybe 1% mango at best. It was awful. My husband waited nearly 20 minutes for a coffee, despite there only being one person ahead of him. The woman working the coffee stand didn't speak English, wasn't friendly, and overall seemed overwhelmed. The whole vibe of the place has changed. They were blasting reggaeton music, which felt completely off from the warm, welcoming atmosphere we used to love. Sadly, it just isn't the same anymore.

Yelp
Decided to stop here for some coffee on the way to work. I have to agree with some other reviews, they are not a friendly bunch. Ordered a $5 small coffee, took a sip and I can honestly say it was the worst coffee I have ever had. Such a shame. I used to come here all the time when my kids were little and it used to be so good.

Yelp
Male at the cash register was a jerk and completely unhelpful and unfriendly. Not a big selection of produce, but would NOT have spent a penny here with that man and his attitude at the register.
google avatar

Yelp
This hidden market is a fantastic spot to grab a shake! They have a market that has seasonal fruit, produce, honey, meats and snacks -- though the prices of the chips/crackers are pricey than supermarket. There is also a coffee spot next door. The lady at the register is so sweet and all the staff is super attentive. The market is nicely covered with big treats so it's nice to sit outside in one of the picnic tables to enjoy your shake / baked goods. They offer a bunch of different fruit shakes and juices. The hype is REAL- the Strawberry or the Strawberry + Banana is delicious!! The shake is a great blend of creamy and icey cold since they blend in frozen yogurt. The prices start at $6.00 for a small size, which is a perfect size since its filling. If you're in the Pinecrest area I highly recommend Wayside.

Yelp
Authentic ambiance. Excellent gourmet and fresh selection. Yummy smoothies and coffee! Fantastic friendly & knowledgeable service.

Yelp
I visited here for the first time and found it smaller than I anticipated. However, the highlight was their coffee and smoothie section--I'd definitely recommend the Mango Mania. They also have a stand for fresh fruit and a selection of refrigerated items. Perfect outdoor setting for a quick snack

Edward J.

Yelp
Male at register not friendly. Extremely bad service. Better places to spend my money at.

Yelp
RIP to our family tradition. For six years we have been spending many Saturdays at Fairchild Tropical Garden, (still amazing by the way), followed by milkshakes at Wayside Market. The shakes were never cheap, but they were GOOD. We came a couple months back and got the worst, sickly sweet, syrupy, thin shakes I've ever had. My husband insisted it was a fluke so we gave it one more shot today: not only were they out of the espresso flavor, but the quality is still unacceptable. Sorry, Wayside, no more of our money for you.

Yelp
This cute little market has fresh fruits and salads and a bunch of other goodies. I loved exploring the place and ended up with some Thai Coleslaw and a Mango juice. It was super delicious. They also have a new coffee bar which some really good coffee and croissants. It's located right at the road and so it's half outdoors and half covered. Super nice to shop around. Service is also very friendly.

Yelp
Very nice little market. Just moved to the area and figured this could be a good (even if pricier alternative) to the famous Homestead fruit stands. The market is rather small and doesn't have a lot of fresh fruit. They do have a huge variety of smoothies and milkshakes tho. Since their strawberry shake was highly advertised, we opted for that. I also got a spinach empanada, chocolate chip cookies, and plantain chips. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

Yelp
Great shakes and desserts. The service is good although Spanish is the langue they are most familiar with. The Ambiance it a natural .

Yelp
Been coming here for years. Shakes were great, chicken salad was heavenly. But i went by this weekend & ordered my strawberry shake & bought a chicken salad. Boy have they changed a lot. You barely taste any strawberry & the shake was not as thick as it used to be. it was more liquidy than usual & tasted like a vanilla shake w/ a hint of strawberry. What a let down. I also purchased their famous chicken salad. It was not good at all. Nothing like they use to make it. It lacked in flavor & it was dry & pasty. I was sooo disappointed. The previous time i came, same situation. Did management change? Are they not training the kids making the shakes/ food? If this continues, eventually it will affect their business- even with their most loyal customers. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. Will be looking for a new best shakes" place. Wayside lost that title, unfortunately.

Yelp
Good shakes, coffee & service with a nice location. Desserts are overpriced, seating informal, parking so so.

Yelp
Great location as it's on the corner so you won't miss it. It's not very big, but they have a lot. I honestly expected to see a few more items that I can't find in the local stores (Publix, Target, Walmart) but there really was nothing special. There was a natural ice cream that we found to be delicious. It comes in Strawberry, Passion Fruit and Coconut. We bought all 3 but sampled 2 and they were delish. We got the Elvis and the Fat burner. The Elvis tasted more light a vanilla ice cream with a hint of Peanut and we could barely taste the banana. As for the Fat Burner, I chose it because of all the fruits that it was made with. I liked it at first BUT, there was an after taste of something that I can't put my finger on. I wasn't disappointed with the place, but I wouldn't go back. I've had much better shakes elsewhere and frankly no one makes a peanut butter shake like Fuddrukkers. They make sure you KNOW, you're having a peanut butter shake. The outside was a quant cozy area. Tables with sun shades at all of them. Nice to sit at with the shakes and treats you get. I was excited to see they have Guava pie. So far no one makes it like Knaus Berry Farm, but it was ok. As for the grocery store, as I mentioned before, nothing really there that you won't find elsewhere. Other than the Purple Haze, Purple Asparagus, the fruit was common. The lemons didn't look fresh and all the avocados were over ripe. I expected too much of this place because of an IG post and was disappointed. Would I go there again, NO. The shakes were a disappointment. Would I recommend it, maybe, because of all the shake flavors but after my 2 disappointing flavors, I can't image any taste any better.

Yelp
Had a pina colado milkshake. It was very good. Merchandise seemed old & outdated. I understand it's a landmark but it's old & needs updating. People were very nice.
google avatar

Blanca M.

Yelp
Good natural milkshake at a fraction of the price you'd find elsewhere. Other items in sale were not in the pricier side.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon. The good is that they sell fresh made-to-order fruit smoothies. I had the Energy Booster, which was decent. The not-so-good here is that I can and do make better tasting smoothies for myself and I'm no smoothie expert. Adding to that is the fact that the guy in the front who was taking orders was pretty darn rude. All one of us wanted to do was customize our own smoothie and have a question or two about it. Said man got agitated pretty quickly not only with us, but another customer after us. But, he was glad to let us all know that adding ginger was an extra $3. Somebody please teach him how customer service works.

Yelp
My teenager noticed this very cute little market when we were visiting family in the area.. the had different types of tropical shakes/ smoothies... HIGHLY recommend the little coffee shop that's connected to it... ( 5 stars is for the coffee shop).staff were friendly and talked to my coffee loving teenager about where they sourced the beans and how they roast their own coffee..
google avatar

Sia K.

Yelp
This place is super cute, they have a coffee shop, smoothie options, juice options and a market with a bunch of different options and fresh fruit. Also have lots of treat options like ice cream and heat hot snacks. If you are passing by definitely check it out

Gary M.

Yelp
The tables are filthy, trash in the ground and this means flies everywhere. Shame, as the atmosphere and food is good, just need the manager or owner to take notice of the cleanliness of the tables and seating. We saw people leaving for this reason. Easy fix.

Yelp
I have been coming to this market for as long as I can remember. For most of the people who grew up in Miami this has always been a top spot to come to on a Sunday morning. Although there are many negative reviews about customer service and this place has gone through some changes with that. It will always be a stop made when coming back to visit. During Thanksgiving they have delicious pies and cinnamon buns that are brought in from Knaus Berry Farm. My smoothie order has always stayed the same (mango, strawberry & passion fruit). This market is part of home and will always be loved!

Yelp
After spending the day around tons of fruit at Fairchild, decided to stop and grab a fruity snack at Pinecrest Wayside Market on Sunday afternoon. I ended up selecting a Mango Shake to sip on. Quality Pinecrest Wayside Market is a little roadside farmers market in a quiet area. It is a pretty small operation and I was not very impressed by the selection of fruits and vegetables. They had all the standards, but I feel like it was lacking in unique and fresher fruits. After looking through the choices of shakes and smoothies I ended up selecting a Mango Shake. They make their shakes with fat-free yogurt and after tasting it I think that is a huge mistake. By sacrificing whole milk in the yogurt the shake came out very flat. I did like the chunks of mango, but overall it was a disappointing treat. Quantity I selected a medium shake which seemed like the perfect quantity. Though I feel like if I enjoyed it more I would have wanted the large. Value It is a roadside shop so the prices are pretty reasonable. The medium shake came to about $6, which would have been fine if I enjoyed it more. Ambiance Pinecrest Wayside Market is definitely a place that you either stumble on or need to go out of your way to fine. Located on Red Road across the street from a running and biking path, it is a small little market. It is completely open with three sections. They have an almost convenience store style area on the left, the baked goods and prepared items in the center, and the fruits and veggies on the right. In front of the store they had four large tables set up in case you want to enjoy your treat before heading off. There is shade, but they definitely could use some fans. Crowd There were a few other people at the stand when we were there and every single one of them had bikes with them. It seems like it is a popular stop if you were following along the nearby trail. It makes sense as a place to grab a smoothie or shake before heading back on your way. Service In the time we were there they managed to mess up two orders and that seems ridiculous with such a small menu. It was also a confusing ordering process as I ended up giving my order to three different people and despite being the only one waiting for a drink they seemed hesitant as to who it belonged to. Parking They have a small parking lot near the market, but I can't imagine it ever needing more spots than it has. They also have plenty of space for bikes, which seemed like the bigger need. Extra Maybe it is wrong of me to compare Pinecrest Wayside Market to the wonderful roadside stands in Homestead, but it just doesn't even come close. Neither the selection nor the quality lives up to its counterparts down south. Maybe this place is worth a stop if you are exercising nearby, but there is no need to go out of your way to visit.

Yelp
I loved this place and I will continue going because of their fresh and not too pricey variety of produce. The service is always great. They have a seating area outside and because they have umbrellas and many trees, it feels nice to sit there while your eating or drinking one of their amazing smoothies. See you next time!
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
This place just keep getting worse. It used to be a great spot but lately you will find spoiled food on the shelves and incompetent employees running things. They have several menu items that have the same name and the sad old man will purposely give you the wrong item (even if you specifically ask for one version) and when you tell him that's not right he tries to double charge you and rip you off. I hope someone buys this place and fixes it
google avatar

Stefanie S.

Yelp
I've gone here a few times on recommendation from a friend. I just love their shakes. They are made with fat-free frozen yogurt but they are so delicious and refreshing. The only one I tasted was the strawberry and I love it so much that I haven't even tried the other flavors. The place also has a little market selling some fruits and veggies, some prepared foods and some snacks. My friend was disappointed that she wanted to buy a papaya but the fruit prices were not labeled. She didn't buy it, because they were so busy and there was nobody to ask about it. But, I can't lower my rating because the shake is just soooo yummy!

Alejandra A.

Yelp
best shakes ever!!! Staff is super friendly specially Yirka!!! my favorite is the Coffee Shake!
google avatar

Carol M.

Yelp
This is a little market on 57th with some tables and chairs on the outside. They sell shakes, smoothies, juices, salads, dips, desserts, pastries and more. I've stopped here to get freshly-made shakes which come in a lot of flavors but the best ones are the tropical-fruits one. You can take it to go but I usually prefer to sit on the dining area, it is nice to sit under the trees and just enjoy your drink. I like this place and recommend it.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
The shakes are good, the produce is fresh and affordable. The only complain is that the person taking the order is plain rude. He refuses to answer questions, yells at customers and he looks like the most miserable person alive. About 5 people just walked out when we were waiting because he was so obnoxious.

Yelp
I have been coming here since I was 16 years old! Now my kids have been going since they were babies! I'm not from the area, I am a hialeah/Westchester native. I use to work at Gulliver and always wanted to live in Pinecrest just to be closer to my favorite lunch/shake place. Now as a adult I finally moved to Pinecrest. So essentially wayside market was my motivation to move to Pinecrest, but in order to live in pinecrest I had to make money! To make money I had to go to school and get a good job. So essentially I went to school because of the delicious shakes at wayside. I basically owe my life to wayside! Hopefully Eli gives me a free shake one day. I think they should name a shake after me. I eat lunch there with my kids everyday. I've gain like 10Ib but well worth it. I recommend ordering the Elvis!

Chloe L.

Yelp
Incredibly rude older man taking orders. Made me feel like an idiot for asking questions about the menu. First time going there and will definitely be my last. Will not recommend any of my friends or family to go there. El Palacio is insanely better both customer service and product wise.

Sophia G.

Yelp
I have been coming to the wayside market for many years and I genuinely enjoy going there to get a smoothie and maybe a snack. The only thing that deters me from coming back every time is thinking I am going to be checked out by the rude gremlin in the front. Everytime I've gone I have a horrible experience with that one staff member who obviously has no customer service skills. He should not be working in the front if he doesn't know how to communicate kindly and respectfully to his customers. When I ordered my smoothie my card declined and he declared it loudly about three times and was being extremely nitpicky when it came to me ordering. I had a friend with me and when she went to pay he would not stop staring at her chest. Who ever is the owner of this establishment needs to do some serious reevaluation of this staff member because it is deterring customers from this market place where people come to get some fresh produce and have a good time. No one comes for the blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism. Do better.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
I usually enjoy specialty food markets and Noooo! Rude guy with no customer service skills at all!
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
I got treated like an idiot for not saying the size of a milkshake that turned out to not even be that good. Won't be back.

Steve W.

Yelp
legendary spot, highly recommend it. Peanut butter shakes are out of this world.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Fresh fruit and veggies! Smoothies and milkshakes! Fun & friendly! I stopped by on a very hot Miami afternoon. My Papaya, Pineapple, Passionfruit Milkshake cooled my jets and quenched my thirst! Lots of goodies here!!!

Yelp
This is my new spot for when I need a dessert fix. I found Wayside on the way back from a not-so-great date, amd it proves the "everything happens for a reason" theory! Their cherry pies are awesome. You can taste the tartness of the fruit instead of high-fructose corn syrup. The blackbery pies come a very close second. Even the crust has a "just right" crisp to it, and I usually just have the filling from most restaurant and grocery store pies. The selection varies daily, but revolves around the aforementioned and includes apple and pecan pies. The strawberry banana freeze with honey had the perfect smoothness and taste to wash that date away, as did the cute girls behind the counter :-) They also have a decent amount of produce and breads as Jordan mentioned. If I were ever to cook, I'd give them a shot for that as well.
google avatar

Vanessa U.

Yelp
I love this place!!! It's been here for as long as I can remember. I'm so glad it's been here even throughout the pandemic. The food is always fresh and the juices are amazing. My all time favorite chicken spread can be found here as well. This place is a must! Planning a picnic? Wayside is the place to go for the best snacks and food to fill up your basket or eat at one of their adorable yellow picnic tables up front.
google avatar

Lacey M.

Yelp
Let me tell you, I love this charming hidden gem.. But you have earned my ire tonight. I called at 530 asking if you had lettuce, just to be sure. I sent my poor husband fresh home from traffic, out on foot with my infant son, for said lettuce. He arrived there 10 minutes before you closed. And you wouldn't sell him the lettuce. Dude, you suck.
google avatar

Lissette M.

Yelp
A fabulous place. Perfect to go there on beautiful day. Their smoothies are ready good. Highly recommended to go there if you like local farmers market
google avatar

Carolina P.

Yelp
Great for a snack or a quick pick me up. My family and I have been coming here for years! Frozen yogurt, slushes, shakes, juices, a small but great selection of produce and local vendor items like chicken salad, sandwiches, jams, sweet n savory snacks, Knausberry farm pastries etc. They also carry a few dairy products and other - XOXO @blonde2brunette

Yelp
2nd stop before leaving Miami area. Came by for the super fresh smoothies and huge strawberries.

Yelp
Tucked into a shaded street, Pinecrest Wayside Market has been in business since 1948. It started out as a fruit stand but over the years other items were added like prepared foods, salads, baked goods, jams, sauces, and ice cream. It is the kind of place that appeals to both locals or someone passing by as I was that day. We saw the stand on our way to Pinecrest Gardens and after a hot day of walking around the gardens I was craving one of their advertised famous smoothies. I picked the strawberry breeze and my daughter had their strawberry banana. Two small smoothies were $9. Not on the cheap side but we were playing tourist for the day. They were indeed delicious. Mine was filled with strawberry flavor as advertised. It was very soothing on the scratchy throat I was developing and refreshing on the hot day. There are picnic tables out front if you want to stop and enjoy your snack. A great array of tropical produce was on display. There is also a lovely tree providing shade. If you are in the area visiting Pinecrest Gardens of Fairchild Tropical Gardens this is a fun stop to make.
google avatar

Stephanie R.

Yelp
David and I were new to the Pinecrest area and came along Pinecrest Wayside Market while enjoying a bike ride along 57th. We were pleasantly surprised to see how much the market had to offer - homemade smoothies, fresh fruits & veggies, baked goods, chips & hummus, and much much more! The market is the perfect pit-stop for those out for a walk, bike ride, or whatever purpose, and it quickly became my favorite part of our weekend exercise route. Imagine the refreshing, soothing, and enjoyable feeling of a homemade Mango Mania smoothie (mango, coconut, banana) quenching your thirst while relaxing on a bench in the warm sunshine summer months! Well, that's exactly what you'll get at Wayside Market. It's also a hot spot for families & kids during lunch and after-school hours. Furthermore, the Pinecrest Wayside Market is a great local alternative to the markets in Homestead - save the gas & buy local right in your backyard @ Wayside Market!

Yelp
Saturday mornings at the market was such a delight. I stopped by as I was on my way down to the Pinecrest Library and couldn't resist some fresh juices and home baked goods. I took a quick browse through the entire market and was so surprised and excited to see they bring cinnamon rolls from Knaus Berry Farm. I can't wait to pick up a pack next week. They brought them fresh and packaged good to go. During my visit I did order the "cleanse juice" off their juice menu. It consisted of beets, carrots, and celery. It was a nice pick me up and I also could not pass up the delicious chicken empanadas from their oven. It was crisp, juicy and bulging of flavor. I think I may have found a new spot to recharge during the weekend.
google avatar

Talisa S.

Yelp
Smoothies are so fresh and amazing on these hot Miami days! They are very efficient and get everything out pretty fast considering how many people were ordering at the same time. The staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Yomny M.

Yelp
Horrible attitude, the owner or one of them, older gentleman behind the counter. People don't come here to deal with your short temper or any issues you may be having. So yourself and everyone else a favor, retire or work somewhere else. You have no business working with the public.
google avatar

Catherine H.

Yelp
It is too bad that most of the people who work here don't seem very happy. They are not friendly nor helpful. They seem put off by any questions or requests. It is not the original owner as it used to be a very local, friendly place. It is because of the management & people who work behind the counter that I and the people in my neighborhood no longer go there. Not enjoyable. Hirni's the florist across the street used to own it back in the day and it was a totally different experience. Just as they are top notch friendly service oriented & excellent product so did this place use to be. There was one gentleman who answered the phone on a Saturday and he is who earned this one star for it represents all that was good. HiS 5 star performance got the place A star He was like the good ole days. He answered my question and was friendly too. Wish it was this cultured guy who ran the operation. Wish I had asked his name. Think I'll call back.

Yelp
Such a cute little market. Makes you feel relaxed and cozy! I drove 36 min to come here for their dragon fruit. They have the yellow ones, super sweet . Loved it over all! Will be coming again!
