Google
A place to visit when in Baltimore. A bar with sports on the TV. Good selection of food and drinks. The portions are big and the food was tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful.

When I walked up to the bar to order, there was an older man about to lose his cool. He was trying to get the attention of any bar tender to get his card back. I thought he was overreacting. But it happened twice more with other customers. The wait staff seemed intent on avoiding eye contact. I ordered a sandwich which never came, at least not before I had to leave for the game. FYI - read the other reviews carefully- some are clearly fake.

Google
I ordered takeout and it was amazing. This location doesn't have ribs, so I ordered pork belly, pulled chicken, fries, and gouda mac. The mac n cheese is nice and smoked. The fries were delicious and fresh, even with sitting in the container. I received wings instead of pulled chicken, but not mad about it. I love wings. I received big serving sizes. Enough to break it up into 2 meals. Will definitely go back.

Google
Terrible terrible terrible place. Pathetic service and horrible food. Loudest music blaring where you can’t even hear the incompetent bartender who couldn’t be bothered to serve us with menus or water. Their “happy hour” was terribly sad and had only domestic bottles for $3.50. Their fries were worse than a 3 year old could turn out- extremely sweet, drizzled with a sticky sauce (not asked for) and zero flavor. Returned it yet wasn’t offered a refund. Don’t go here EVER

Google
New comer to the area and I am happy I went here. The vibe, the staff, the drinks, the FOOD !! Great bar for millennials and college students. We tried the cauliflower Buffalo bites, old bay wings and Buffalo wings. Everything was absolutely delicious

I moved to Baltimore in the fall and while trying to familiarize myself with the local bar scene I decided to check out Wayward. SOOOO happy that I did! Months later I still find myself going back regularly and loving it every time! The staff is amazing. The manager AD and bartenders Jon & Ben are phenomenal in making sure their customers have a great experience. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m definitely one of those people who go to restaurants and have a ton of specifications/modifications on how I want my food prepared, but at Wayward they gladly accommodate my orders and they always come out perfect. The food there is rreeaalllyy good (I’ve included a few pics of the deliciousness for your viewing pleasure). I love that Wayward is a good chill place to grab dinner/drinks with your friends during the week, and that on the weekends they bring in a DJ and there becomes much more of a party vibe. I’m glad that no matter whether I’m in the mood to chill, or turn up, I found one place where I can do both! I could go on and on about how great the place is, but you should just go check it out for yourself!

Google
I ordered the brisket mac and cheese and it was phenomenal! My bf ordered the alabama and my mom ordered the burrito. Im giving it 4 stars because the only thing i liked was my brisket mac and cheese The guacamole that came with the burrito wasn't good at all :( and i thought that it was a pretty basic dish to make it good. It is a very cool place though, i see myself coming back. Very spacious area. They have so many beers and drinks on the menu. Very cool interior. Definitely a nice hangout place.

Google
James was very nice & his colleague was awesome. I thought they were brothers! Wings were fried a little too hard, street corn was delicious. Guinness blonde, fresh tasting & cold straight from the pipes. Live music singer had a nice voice. Will be back

Yelp
Ash is amazing and very attentive but not annoying you know lol she is very sweet. Tip her !! This was a great experience and really nice staff. Not too crowded and great happy hour discounts all week long. Very nice ambiance and food something for everyone !

Jake B.

Yelp
Good drinks reasonably priced, some good apps and a Cali burrito to die for! Easy location to walk to just look for street parking or hit the garage.

Yelp
Just a great bar to meet up with friends. There's always some kind of drink special on game days. Today was buy one get one free crushes! Overall, it's a great place to kick off your weekend. Food: Bar food: wings, burgers and more. But as stated before I go here to socialize. Service: Depending on how busy it is food sometimes takes a while. The outdoor bartenders get swarmed with drink orders. So be patient, they'll get to you. Ambiance: I love the outdoor bar area. There are plenty of tvs to watch the game as well as picnic tables for larger groups. The cornhole games get pretty lively so bring your A- game. Inside there's a Member's Only Whiskey Bar and seating for dining.

Yelp
I was looking for somewhere to go for happy hour. Most of the Happy hours in the area are over by 6 PM and I have already missed that this place has happy hour until seven. It was a slow day so there weren't many people in there, but I didn't mind that. There were two bartenders who were super friendly and on top of things. The place was clean, and I really liked that. There were multiple TVs playing different games. I was happily surprised by their beer selection to see that one of my faves was on the list. I felt like trying something new so I had the horseradish wings. Surprisingly they were actually really good. I just asked for a side of sauce because there wasn't much on the wings. The sauce was a creamy, sweet horseradish, which was very good. I also got some cheese curls. I think they are called. They had bacon, ranch cheese, and some type of queso cheese With green onions. Very good and fresh. I like my french fries and things to be on the crispy side and they were cooked to perfection. Definitely will come back to watch a football game or baseball game and take advantage of their other specials.

Yelp
Outdoor setting is awesome, and staff were friendly, but I find it very frustrating when the menu on a website doesn't at all match what is offered on site. I made plans to come her with friends after seeing they had an appealing happy hour with options that appealed to all the different tastes in our group. Upon arrival the options were very different. Since none of us wanted light beer, seltzer, or rail liquor we moved on. I know restaurants are impacted by inflation, and I get it that menus change, but I had been hoping to find a place to get a good beer or a cocktail for happy hr.

Yelp
Honestly, I got in here and it's like if you don't know the area or the people who work at the bar you're not gonna get any service. Like the workers just had a very standoff attitude and the food was mid. I think I was kind of confused on what I was walking into so It's definitely a good bar because the drinks where you're strong, but the food was basic.

Yelp
I've only been to the white marsh location so figured I'd check the OG location out. It was happy hour when we arrived so we took advantage of $5 apps and ordered the soft pretzel and mozzarella sticks. The mozz sticks were nothing special but the soft pretzel and dip it came with was really good. It reminded me of the queso they had on the old menu. For entrees, we ordered the OG burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The Nashville hot was not playing around, it was hotttt. The OG burger was good and the bun was toasted making it v yummy. Our server was attentive and very nice. I'm a lil bitter that they removed the brisket from the menu but still enjoyed the visit!

Yelp
I didn't care for the food or beverage, but the atmosphere and service was fine. I stopped in for appetizers with my sister and little brother. He likes the place, so I assumed it would be good. He said they had the best crushes in the city, so we had to get one. I ordered the grapefruit crush, which i didn't care like. I also had the soft pretzel, which had NO flavor whatsoever. None of liked it, so most of it went uneaten. We didn't care for the dipping sauces either. We also shared the fries that were decent. It's hard to mess up french fries, though. My brother liked his drink (he had alcohol), but he likes anything alcoholic. He's also worked as a bartender, so he appreciates a well-made drink. My sister also liked her drink. As I said, the service was good. I don't recall her name, but the bartender was awesome. She was fun and very personable. The vibes were good as well. I'd go back for that reason alone. Overall, though, I wasn't impressed.

Kylie G.

Yelp
Ryan was so sweet! He was a knowledgeable bartender and took care of us so well! So so cool knew the menu suuuuuper welll love him fr

Yelp
Came here on cinco de mayo, the menu is completely out of date. $6 on the menu for high noons, got charged $8.50. When I asked about it they said "inflation, sorry". I then asked if the happy hour price was correct, they said no because they're not open Mondays normally, which is fine. But update your menu. Also don't be rude when someone asks about the price difference between the menu and the check. You may also want to get nicer bartenders, who aren't worried about drinking behind the bar & who are actually worried about fixing things.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
So the service was great the bartender was very attentive, the drinks were okay. Nothing to write home to mom about, the atmosphere was good for a Friday afternoon. The food we had the gánster mac, which was not bad for a non-baked Mac and cheese. Also, had the Big Poppa came with 3 smashed patties was a bit dry and the my S.O. had the Johnny blaze the burger itself was small and dry. Way more bread than meat. Maybe more of a after a long night of drinking this would've been a place to go but it didn't really impress me.

Yelp
I was looking for a chill place to have dinner with my husband for his birthday and Wayward was beyond what we expected. We definitely came hungry and I was super excited that it wasn't too cold outside because their outside seating area is a must. We ended up sitting outside enjoying our food which consisted of brisket mac (to die for! an absolute must try!); wings with house wing sauce; fries; and the impossible burger. For drinks, we ordered from their Happy Hour menu - I got a glass of Pinot Grigio and a glass of Rose, while my husband ordered 2 rounds of the Sweet Heat mule (I tried it and it was ok ONLY because i'm not a fan of spicy stuff and this definitely has a kick to it, but other than that it was good). All in all - Food: brisket mac is an A++++++; wings were yummy, you could definitely tell they were smoked and grilled as the flavor was in each bite - I would like to try the old bay next time (yes, we will be back!); fries were bomb.com - they're shoestring, crispy, and delicious!; and my husband finished his impossible burger! Our server (as well as the other employees) were great! The attention the employees give to their customers is greatly appreciated. Oh, and their women's restroom was immaculate - thank you!!

Yelp
Wayward just opened a brand new outdoor patio and it definitely takes this Federal Hill bar status to the top level! The new patio provides such a great outdoor option in Federal Hill. The patio is two levels, has plenty of seating and offers space for outdoor games like corn hole and even live music. Wayward has a really great crush menu and I definitely recommend trying some (or all ) The food is definitely your solid normal bar fare! Especially with this new outdoor space, would totally rec this spot!

Yelp
One of my go to bars for when I go out in Fed on a weekend night. It's also a good spot to go to on Thursday nights for their "flip night" where you can win drinks for a penny. I came on Friday night for some happy hour drinks to start off the night. They offer happy hour drink deals Tuesday thru Friday from 4pm -7pm, with other specials throughout the week. They have a full dinner menu here, but I haven't tried much of it yet, other than the mozzarella sticks that were good. They have an inside area with lots of TVs, high tops, and plenty of bar seating and an additional outside back patio area. Great spot to come for a night out or to watch the games with friends. Late at night on the weekends they usually have a DJ and an area inside where people can dance. I would have given this place 5 stars, but when I came in the weekend prior the bathroom stalls in the women's bathroom had fallen over while inside. When I let the bartender know it seemed like they had already known that this was happening. Hopefully they get it fixed so that this won't happen again.

Yelp
I visited this venue for a Night Brunch, so I'm not going to factor service into my review. It was packed to the gills in there and they were likely understaffed. However, I felt I received reasonable service given the amount of people that needed tending. That said, the rosé I ordered was delicious (I had 3!). For food, I decided to go with the Country Plate, which consisted of a biscuit, meat of my choosing, 2 eggs, and "smashbrowns". I chose the brisket and asked for eggs fried hard. The brisket was official, I ate every little piece. The biscuit looked really good, homemade, but was dry and I ended up only eating half. The eggs were runny, I didn't touch them. And "smashbrowns" are curly fries - I was pretty disappointed they weren't breakfast potatoes (which go along with eggs and biscuits, I'd think). The fries were tasty though and made up for me not eating the biscuit and eggs. I'd try Wayward again, if only for the brisket.

Yelp
This is a great, downhome Smokehouse. The staff, especially Kelly (our bartender) was very warm, friendly, and accommodating. Kelly researched ingredients to ensure nothing she served had my food allergies. Unfortunately, I couldn't try their signature moonshine because it's made of corn, but they have some seemingly delicious cocktails using it. The food was nicely flavored; however, the brisket and ribs were a little dry the serving sizes are massive, so you may want to bring a date or a couple friends to help out! Overall, I enjoyed it and if you're looking for friendly staff and a great value, you will too!

Yelp
Great experience. Came on a weekday for lunch. Quick prompt service the waiter Brandon was on his first day and I wouldn't have known unless he mentioned it. Nice atmosphere quick service. We would have liked the food to much hotter. Good amt of food options on the menu to choose from. Seems to be a good wknd spot

Yelp
I had an opportunity to try the food here recently during a lunch meeting I had in the Federal Hill Area. Very nice, inviting decor for a BBQ and Whiskey lounge. All of the bourbons and whiskeys they serve are featured throughout the bar. This restaurant is apparently part of a chain. I am told that the other location(s) have a full menu. I was disappointed in the options available for this location. For example, I can get briskett sandwich, but I could not order a brisket platter. Customer service was good. Food came out quickly. I ordered the fried chicken platter. For the price or maybe a a couple of dollars more, it would have been nice to have to breast. The chicken was not seasoned but fried ok. The macaroni and cheese was interesting. It could have also used salt and pepper but it had corn in it and there was a bay leaf in it. Bay leaf adds flavor but it seems more like a choking hazard to me. The corn in Mac-n-cheese did nothing to elevate the flavor which was fine once I added salt and pepper to it. The brussel sprouts also need a touch or salt and pepper. I would be open to visiting again but I would be looking for an updated menu that allowed you to order more BBQ platter options.

Yelp
Very nice setup! It was my first time at this establishment and I came for a Yelp event! Very nice space! Very open. The event was packed so there weren't many places to sit but it was definitely a great location and I would return! We found awesome, FREE street parking which is always a plus but there is also the West St Garage which isn't far at all. We didn't have much interaction with the servers but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I also saw a server wall by with someone's burger and fries and my mouthed watered a little bit! It looked very delicious! Would be open to returning in the future and being able to sit down and actually order some food. The hot toddies were good and got better as you continued drinking them. Mine was with Rum and my hubby's, Whiskey. Thanks for being the host of a great event that brought together fellow Yelpers while helping the homeless!

Yelp
Somehow never came here though been to the neighboring bar. They have plenty of outdoor seating and due to large open window can do edge seating. They also are allowing inside seating. Due to that figure they likely able to serve as many people as when only had indoor seating. They are a mix of Korean and southern bbq with Texmex dishes. With that much muddle usually food not good and that is case here. Chopped brisket more cut up and seems to be done to hide how fatty meat is. Pork belly okay and interesting taste from smoked Salad and smoked guac. Service was not good as took awhile to get things. Bill delivered was wrong as thing there system has inside and outside tables with same numbers. Inside bar looks nice. If things have improved likeky good to watch game if okay with brunch for first half.

Yelp
I would leave No stars if I could but I'm forced to choose one. Last Night my daughters were asked to leave for literally no reason. They were standing around waiting for the a bartender to wait on them & upon seeing other people going around them getting served they spoke up to a female bartender who snapped at them in a very rude way and said she acknowledged them waiting & she will get to them when she had "time" she then continued to wait on other people who arrived after them. They stood waiting looking at her waiting to have a turn to order & then a female security guard approached them asking did they have a problem & without waiting for an answer told them they have to leave. They were shocked but they left promptly as to the confrontation by the female security brought attention to them & they felt outnumbered & threatened. This was uncalled for & very rude. Not to mention my daughters are not white they are of mixed race & couldn't help to think that that's probably why they were singled out being there was absolutely no reason to be thrown out as they stood waiting to order drinks . This incident shows that they do not care or value their customers of other ethnicity. I'm sure the owner would not appreciate business being lost over power trips or racism of their employees. My daughters were singled out & treated badly for no reason and will never return & I will not recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

Yelp
Great place in Federal Hill. Light & Charles were hopping tonight. I did not know where I would stop tonight for dinner tonight. On my own just wanted a nice dinner at a local joint. My wife said just walk around & the place will hit me. So as I was walking, I heard live music. A good blues singer. It had a fun Nashville feel. We had ordered from Wayward as carry out during heavy Covid. Sitting inside at the bar, listening to live music was the bomb, Also the bomb - the brisket grilled cheese French dip. Ouch. It was good. Took half home - breakfast tomorrow?

Yelp
I went out last night to Wayward and the security at the door was a total joke. There were two guys, one checked my ID and gave me the green light to go in but the second one then told me to step to the side. I was confused but I of course did what I was told. We stood there as they let multiple other people in without checking their IDs and then was yelled at us to leave. I told him that the other guy checked my ID and when he looked over at the guy who checked my ID, he yelled, "I don't know who the fuck these people are." So it was a mix of ignorance and lack of communication. For some reason they then decided let us go in but it was just a very unstructured system of deciding who goes in or not. What I was really alarmed with is at how many people they let in without checking their IDs. I will not not be returning anytime soon.

Yelp
The food was flavorless and bland, but generally tasted bad. It's almost as if they had to work hard to make the food taste this way. They definitely don't use any herbs or spices of any sort. I got the salmon with Parmesan Brussel sprouts and whipped potatoes. The potatoes taste like they used expired sour cream to make. The Brussel sprouts taste burnt and unseasoned without much evidence of Parmesan. The Brussels were also coated in oil. The salmon was the most tolerable item and was bland and flavorless, even with the horseradish sauce. This food was so bad, I had no choice but to look up the yelp reviews. My partner ordered wings and fries in which they were cold & flavorless. There were countless bugs flying in his wings, so he asked for a box to take it to go instead. When we got home and he reheated them, he discovered they were undercooked!!! Now the service was also poor. I went with a large party of 12 and sat outside. The weather was breathtaking, but there were small gnats and flies everywhere. They can't control the bugs outdoors, but after seeing them land in our water, drinks and food at an exceptionally high rate, I would've expected them to at least offer us indoor seating which they did not. The restaurant was very empty this day, so I'm unsure why they didn't. Drinks came late and the server was very negligent. She only brought waters to half of the party. She then brought us a pitcher of water to refill OUR OWN DRINKS instead of ever coming and refilling any of our cups. Not that we would've wanted that since there were bugs in all of our drinks. Additionally ALL of the glasses were filthy. Literally every single one. I wish I took pictures, but my stomach couldn't take it. Our server also didn't prebus our table. She would sit more food around countless dirty plates. I had to stack my own plates towards the end and ask her to kindly remove them. All I can say is thank God this restaurant is closing in a week. Their downtown location might have better service, but if the food taste the exact same, I wouldn't recommend going.

Yelp
Never been to Fed Hill before so made the decision. Very nice atmosphere and didn't have to wait for service. Wings were super nice and the bar tender as well as another bar tender asked me multiple times if I needed anything. Very professional and I will definitely be back again.

Yelp
I've been an avid fan of Wayward Smokehouse ever since I moved to Federal Hill and discovered Thursday Flip Night. Wayward Smokehouse always hits the spot for whatever vibe you're feeling. The staff and bartenders have always been beyond delightful and considerate! The food and drinks are pretty spectacular too! Definitely high on my list of bars in the downtown federal area. Highly recommend a Bold Rock cider and the pulled pork quesadilla!

Yelp
Food- Ate the lobster po boy and forgot to take picture but it was delicious and filling with great fries. Probably the worst bloody mary I've ever had. I just missed their bloody mary bar hours so I was left with watever water vodka concoction they gave me. Atmosphere- Nice open atmosphere. I wish they played more old school country instead of the new pop country. Its a very young bar so the crowds always young, especially at night its packed with drunk 20 year olds. Service- Fine. Nothing standout but the waitress was nice.

Yelp
"TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! For our first night out in Baltimore with my girlfriend's friends from PA school, something disturbing happened. She was the only Asian girl in a group of 12, and the bouncer, wearing a security vest, singled her out. Despite her having an ID and being over the legal age, he initially refused to let her in without even scanning her ID. When she insisted, he reluctantly scanned it. Although the ID was valid, he proceeded to bend it. We decided to leave, and as we did, he mockingly said, 'Good, leave haha,' and started cursing at her. On our way home, we encountered him again. I confronted him about his behavior, and he gave a bullshit reason why he did what he did. As we walked away, he told the next patrons, 'Yeah, f*** Asian people.' I turned around and confronted him, and a large man in orange warned, 'Don't get beat up for your girl.' I said come on then lets go and then he told the guys wearing the security tag "go in ill take over". Please do not support this racist establishment that threatens minorities."

Yelp
Love wayward, can't wait for them to bring back flip night, but for now outdoor happy hour and good food will do

Yelp
Had a friend from college in town for the weekend so we went out to eat here right before they left. First time getting food as I had only come here previously on Thursday nights to go out. It was MLK Day, so the place was totally empty. At one point we were the only people in the restaurant. The service was just ok, but I didn't mind due to being with friends. I think it would have been quicker if more people were there. I got the Brisket Mac and Cheese while my friends got the Soft Pretzels with Cheese, Frickles, and Dry Rub Wings. It said it was 14 hour smoked brisket on the Mac and cheese, but I have my doubts about that. The Mac and cheese was excellent though; definitely a comfort food dish. It was warm, loaded with melty cheese, had the big curly noodles, and had a solid amount of brisket on top. I'm not a big Frickles guy, so not going to talk about them, but the soft pretzels were a great, tasty snack. They had a slight crust on the outside but were soft in the middle with a chewy bite. I am personally not a huge fan of dry rub wings, but the spice mixture on them was a nice combination of flavors. The food was something I would come back for. I'm not entirely sure I would call this place a "smokehouse", as I have definitely had better BBQ elsewhere, but it was a very relaxed atmosphere with lots of TVs to watch sports games and such. Thursday nights are super fun as well with great drink specials and popular dance music.

Yelp
Visited for brunch on a Saturday with my family because everyone wanted BBQ. This seemed like a great place because they have a wide variety of vegetarian selections. I was very excited to see the Beyond Burger on the menu, so I ordered that. Ugh! So disappointing! I didn't know that it was possible to overcook faux meat, but they somehow managed. It was so dark, so dry, and so flat. The rest of the food was a toss-up. Jackfruit - pretty good Brisket - overdone and dry Buffalo cauliflower - awesome and very sharable. Macaroni and cheese - twisted pasta with a watery sauce Brussel sprouts - pretty good, nothing special, just a generous portion Biscuits - dry, hard, and old So sorry to say that if you're looking for good BBQ in Baltimore, keep looking.

Yelp
On the beautiful patio on a 100* DAY!!!!!! Crazy hot but the cold drinks and delicious mac n cheese served by bartender Bailey, kept us cool and refreshed!! Will definitely be back!

David P.

Yelp
My wife and I went stopped here for lunch on a Saturday while we were in Baltimore. We had a difficult time entering the place because the TV's were so loud . We sat down and the waitress promptly brought us some water , we spoke to her about the noise level . she suggested we go to the patio bar at the rear of the building . When we got to the patio bar it was much quieter and only one other patron was there . I ordered drinks for us and told the bartender to run a tab cause we were going to be eating. We sat down at a table for about 20 minutes , did not get any menus . It was obvious that the bartender was only interested in pouring beer for the one customer at the bar and didn't want to do much of anything else . Unfortunately we left and were unable to try the food.

Allison N.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went in on Friday after my graduation and Ash was our bartender. She was so sweet, friendly, and catering to us! Previous times we have been in, the bartender was not nearly as friendly and sort of rude- we decided to try again and I am so glad we did! I accidentally spilled my drink because I had it to close to the edge and Ash was kind enough to pour me another one and help me clean up the mess I made. Thank you, Ash!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday brunch and had an awesome time! I reserved the large table at the front. I love how the table has an ice chest in the center for your mimosas. If you like BBQ you'll love the food. I got the pork belly biscuit extra crispy and it was so good. The peppers on it had great flavor. Also their wings were banging. We got the giant mule with bourbon in it and it tasted amazing. I love the concept and vibe here! Will def return.

Yelp
Visited Wayward for the first time and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, live music, and delicious food. I tried the Jameson Cold Brew special drink and it did not disappoint. We just ordered some appetizers this time around but everything came out exceptionally well. Especially the buffalo mac and cheese. Looking forward to coming back sometime soon.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with Wayward Smokehouse. The bar has a dive feel and is located in an active part of Baltimore. The food was cooked / smoked very well. My only complaint was the service. We ended up not getting served for quite some time. Seemed like the servers focused a little bit more on the bar end of things verses the restaurant. Overall good experience. Despite the 3 stars, I would still recommend trying this place out to get a feel for yourself. You will surely not be disappointed with the food or prices.

Yelp
The decor was awesome. Very relaxed and dimly lit area. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. The menu with weekly specials is written on a Chalkboard on the back wall next to the bar. There are two bars which was very convenient. There was also a DJ who played current hits and the music wasnt too loud where it drowned out someone talking. All of the food I tried was pretty good but nothing spectacular. The pulled pork was a little dry. The pulled chicken was juicy and the Mac n cheese only tasted good with the sausage on top with each bite. The hot toddy was extremely good. I had the one with whiskey. It was perfect. Not too strong not too weak. I would definetly come back. Great spot for happy hour or date night.

Yelp
After seeing Yelp Baltimore's posting of their breakfast sandwich, I was sold! I was in the market for another brunch spot and Wayward came through with a quickness. I came here on a dreary Tuesday post holiday break. The interior gives you a western theme. Think wood! It gives you a saloon vibe. During my visit I had the steak and eggs with skillet potatoes. My meal was super delicious. The serving size was on par with price. Also during this visit I tried the Mimosa and Bloody Mary. This is where I was slightly disappointed. For 8 bucks a pop I expected to taste a lil bit more champagne or sparkling wine than I had in my glass. It tasted like a OJ crush mostly. The Bloody Mary was delicious to taste as well but, surprisingly void of alcoholic taste. What's up with that? If Wayward wants to compete in the brunch market, it'll have to give us some beverages that we can feel in addition to savory delicious bites. I would visit again. This time to have the Brisket Mac & Cheese (which no less than 5 people ordered during my visit) with the 8 Buck Boh & Beam Combo. At least I'll be guaranteed some likka flavor. LOL.

Yelp
Feel like this place doesn't get enough love. I never see it that crowded, unless it's a really nice day and the patio window-garage doors are open. Wayward has some great food, great prices, good beer selection = my dream come true. I usually come in for Tuesday trivia and always feel like I walked away with value. $12 for .5lbs brisket, cornbread, and a side! Plus a large draft for $5, or maybe even less! Value. The brisket is some of the best I've had in the city. I was hesitant to write this review. I felt like I was letting a big secret out. But, my commitment to Yelp compels me to tell the world.

Yelp
I was waiting to attend a Yelp Elite event on the same street but, I arrived pretty early so I decided to entertain Happy Hour. That's how I ended up here. I believe it was about 530pm so the bar was not crowded at all yet. The bartender acknowledged me as soon as I sat down. The bartender offered me water and a menu. By the time she came back I had decided to order a peach bourbon smash which was pretty good. I also chose to order the Buffalo Chicken Mac & cheese. It too was delicious. I'm not sure what night life brings in this place but, there was plenty of room to entertain many. I may have to go back on the weekend and in the evening to find out. I would be willing to dine and drink here again. Go check it out for yourself.

Yelp
Crushes!!!! I'm in love with the crushes here!! Wayward definitely know how to make a solid crush. I come here strictly for the crushes. I only order food because I don't want to appear like I came here just for crushes...haha! I recommend getting the 'Strawberry Lemonade' and another one and another one.. There is this male worker who excels at his job of serving/bartending/waiting (during brunch)! He always has a smile, is very helpful with ordering, and makes the best crushes out of all the other workers on staff. The food here is pretty solid too, the wings are saucy and tasty. I will say to pass on the mac n cheese brisket though. It is served in a rather small Mason jar and the mac itself was bland and the brisket was sparse in quantity and dry and flavorless.. pretty disappointing. I had to add Tabasco sauce to the dish and eventually ended up giving the remaining 2/3rd of it away (to my boyfriend who will eat just about anything). Even he admitted the dish was bland to his standards (but not inedible). All the other dishes on the menu are solid though! Definitely order some potato hash, they're crisp and soft in all the right ways! Wayward also gets extra points for keeping a clean (ladies') restrooms! Usually bars have a decent at best cleanliness to their restrooms, but this place is breaking stereotypes, haha.

Yelp
We had the best experience at Wayward Smokehouse!! The manager and staff were all so friendly, responsive, and organized in helping us plan a large party brunch and we cannot thank them enough! The food was amazing and every single dish was a 10/10. The kings pancakes (pictured) were epic, filled with bacon and topped with peanut butter fluff, carmelized bananas and whipped cream. The bbq skillets and Benedict's were very popular in our group and the chicken and waffles may compete for fave in Baltimore. Also, don't sleep on the pigs in a blanket, their unique take on them was so great!! I loved that for brunch they have bottles of champagne for $15 and bring you a carafe of oj so you can make as strong or weak as you choose. We all cannot wait to come back soon! The food was a standout but we really will be back because of the amazing service. A great team like that needs to be recommended, keep up the awesome work guys. I wish the best to you and hope to see many years of success here!

Yelp
Great staff, food, and drinks. The cornhole game in the back is NOT regulation size. Disappointed in the cornhole set up.
