First time trying out this coffee spot, and I must say I'm glad I stopped by. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was so delicious! The atmosphere is great, the employees are courteous. I highly recommend ☕️

Michael Duncan

Google
First visit and the baristas at the counter were super informative and made a great first impression. He took the time to find out what kind of coffee I drink at home and what kind of beans I enjoy, he was able to make suggestions based on my answers to his questions. My friend picked up a 2% vanilla latte and I had a popular drink that tasted like a cinnamon roll. We cut the syrups in half and the drink was absolutely amazing. The vibe of the coffee house was chill and understated. Definitely will be back. This was an amazing experience.

Google
I was recommended to try this place out by my service advisor and it was worth it! Definitely a good place to go to study or get some work done! Just about everyone was doing exactly that, so if you’re needing a new place, a place to add into your rotation, or just to enjoy a really good coffee/latte.

Joel Weber

Google
Great little spot in Bishop Arts to study, read or catch up with a friend! Staff is very friendly and drinks were high quality and full of flavor! Customers seem to be friendly too when I needed a spot to sit someone offered me to share their table! :) I loved their chai! Will definitely be back!

Victoria Rivera

Google
I loved this place! It was pretty chill and the perfect atmosphere for me to do my homework. They had such cute spots to sit and everything was great. The bathroom was clean and they even had tampons/pads for free for anyone to grab which was nice. The bathroom also had a baby changing station and cool artwork on the walls.

Alexander

Google
Local coffee shop with its own classy attitude. Espresso machines are dialed and baristas are knowledable about where the beans came from and flavors. Love this spot passes the macchiatot test with flying colors. Alex the macchiato guy was here and approves.

Elijah Barron

Google
best coffee shop in Dallas it's so cute and nice to be at love visiting wayward on a sunday, it's so nice to sit in here and the coffee taste great! the A24 specialty menu is so fun. some of the seating is a little less comfy for me, but I think they are expanding soon, which will be nice. some vegan pastries would be awesome.

After ordering here for the 100th time, I’ve finally come to the conclusion. Wayward is the best most consistent coffee shop in the area. This is for many reasons. I always get the same thing when I’m here, an iced mocha. It’s sort of my “litmus” test for if a shop is good. Like if the pizza place can’t even get a cheese pizza right kind of thing. It does not matter who is at the bar, they make this iced mocha with absolute precision every time. Idk if the beans or what. The flavor profile is deeper than you think. When you take a sip, you’re met with an almost perfect taste ratio of espresso and mocha. You can taste everything evenly, nothing overdone. They take into account melting of the ice, or at least I assume because my drink also never waters down. Espresso is not too acidic, at the same time not too bitter. They know they’re way around a machine, and at the same time they aren’t pretentious or rude like that one coffee spot on Davis (you know which one I’m talking about). I’ve tried to challenge my loyalty to this shop by going to the others in the area, And consequently I was met with drinks that were way too acidic, flavorless, way too sweet, and some that you just had to take the L and dump it in the parking lot. The only other place that can match them is on Jefferson and they are charging 9-10$ for an espresso drink. So if you want a drink that’s right every time, tastes great, made by the nicest people (with good music taste), for a price that you won’t regret, this is it. This is it for the rest of your days and you will be happy it is. To the people of Wayward.. keep it shoegazey. #1 Coffee Shop in the Bishop Arts/Oak Cliff area.

Yelp
I visited this location while I was in the area, after having visited the other location a few months ago, It's not as roomy, but it does still have a nice coffee shop vibe. I wanted to grab an espresso, and maybe get some beans. After a brief chat with the barista, I received my order.. in a paper cup. I guess there's nothing wrong with that; the shot tasted great and came with a bit of sparkling water, also in a paper cup, but I guess I'd just assume that a "dine in" order would be fulfilled in porcelain. Still, it was a tasty and fruity shot, and I wandered over to the bags. Looking at the offerings, I selected one from a roaster called Obadiah, based in the UK. I had never heard of them, but a quick web search suggested they put out some quality goods, and after getting them home, they definitely were quite tasty. A good, light roast with lots of fruity goodness. This was just a quick visit, but the shop is nice, the staff was welcoming, and the spro was great!

Yelp
I attended an event and fell in love with this place! I don't drink coffee, but I did get a Matcha drink with almond milk and it was delicious. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere is so lite and airy. the conference room was an added bonus because we were able to talk and laugh as loud as we want without interrupting those who are there studying or working. I definitely recommend this place for small business meetings or a relax work environment.

Courtney F.

Yelp
This place is SO CUTE. I wanted to visit the neighborhood and this was the first coffee shop to pop up. Clean aesthetic, simple menu, plenty of seating. My kinda place. They had a couple good syrup options for those of us that like a little flavor, and a fantastic chai as well. If I lived here, this would be my spot. Very tasty.

Adam C.

Yelp
I'll change this review when they start making the lattes efficiently, one day it's steamed well and frothy and taste great, the next it's a new person and a $6 latte tastes like milk..... I can mix coffee w milk at home, what I don't have is a steaming device.......

Anna C.

Yelp
I got a London fog latte and loved it! I've been on a big tea latte kick lately and have found a lot of places making them too sweet however the barista did a very good job. My drink came out quickly and I was able to find a seat during a busy time. They have plugs under most of the seats too which is so convenient. I was finally able to get a significant amount of work done so while it is a little noisy in here, it wasn't chaotic enough to distract me. I will be back.

Han C.

Yelp
Gold rush iced latte with honey, cinnamon and vanilla tasted like breakfast in a cup - liquidfied French toast. It was a bit sweet for my taste, but unique. The staff was warm and friendly, and the vibes were chill.

Minly L.

Yelp
Wayward coffee co is a solid place to get some work done. However seating isn't super comfy and outlets and limited. I though the staff was very minimal, not a lot of friendliness but more of getting the job done type service. Coffee was great and it does what it needs to do.

Lydia L.

Yelp
wayward's coffee is good! i wish it was maybe less bitter but overall good! its a great place to go to catch up with friends. the ambiance is great i love the decorations & the booths a lot. the baristas were quick & nice! they also had great style hahaha

Caroline N.

Yelp
Loved their lighthouse latte the first time I visited for the charcoal taste and aesthetic Love the vibes of this place with wooden booths Free curbside parking although it is a bit scant 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 because of the - overall scarcity of outlets for studying purposes - maple brown sugar latte was ok

Luz C.

Yelp
Came here early on Sunday morning and had delicious coffee no line, super calm & peaceful ambiance!

Phuong N.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Wayward Coffee and couldn't be happier with my find. The cozy ambiance, friendly staff. The baristas truly know their craft, creating a perfect cup every time. Whether you're into classic brews or adventurous blends, Wayward Coffee is a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast. Great place to work remote. It's also located around some restaurants if you are needing a bite after.

Victoria R.

Yelp
Wayward Coffee has become one of my favorite coffee shops in Dallas. I love the plants all over and comfortable seating. I also love that it has accesible outlets and several seating for individuals or groups. It is super easy to order and the staff is friendly. The bathroom also has feminine products as well as a baby changing station.

Dave G.

Yelp
I really dig this spot. They make a great cortado or pour over and always have excellent options for bean to choose from. Their wifi literally never works for us. Same prob at the new location. But as long as you don't need to work, it's a great space and the coffee is excellent.

Mara W.

Yelp
I LOVE WAYWARD COFFEE SO MUCH! The vibe is cozy and inviting! The people are kind and lovely! The coffee is amazing and well crafted! Such an amazing group of people working together to bring you high quality taste and experience. The owners and staff are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. This place is obviously built on lots of hard work but most importantly love. Stop in and grab a gold rush! You won't regret it!

Sam F.

Yelp
Fun coffee shop in bishop arts/ has plants everywhere and some fun decor. Coffee is pretty Good and they sometimes have a grill outside to make breakfast on the weekends. Parking is available near it, but you may have to walk a little (street parking). Downsides is that it's pretty small so sometimes there is no seating, not a ton of outlets, and seating isn't comfy at all. They do have outdoor seating for when it is nice outside which is a perk. Fun spot if you've never been to grab some coffee and a pastry with a friend.

Meliha D.

Yelp
Delicious iced oat latte and I am not an iced coffee person The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was not sure what I wanted and the staff member was very kind to talk through the drink offerings. I ended up getting something basic/classic.

Alejandro P.

Yelp
Wayward quickly outgrew its little spot in Bishop and is now a staple for wfh oakcliffians. Its got great coffee and great staff. I would recommend checking out wayward early morning 7-9 when it isn't packed. Gold rush is the go to for many. They've got decent espresso and seating. If you want to stir up a conversation with new people and make friends wayward is the way.

Elijah B.

Yelp
love visiting wayward on a sunday, it's so nice to sit in here and the coffee taste great! the A24 specialty menu is so fun. some of the seating is a little less comfy for me, but I think they are expanding soon, which will be nice. some vegan pastries would be awesome. weird experience today-- the staff turn off the lights while we were still sitting in there around 30 minutes before close. some customers weren't even sure if they were still open. we left around 6:50 and they were already out the door and turned away someone who had come to get there coffee -- not exactly top their service.

Judson H.

Yelp
have LOVED Wayward every time i visit Dallas. they have a great ambiance (plenty of seating, good vibes) and even better coffee. what i really love about them is their balance of diversity in the coffee they serve. they have a good amount of variety when it comes to where they source and the different roasts/origins, and i've bought a few of my all-time favorite bags from there! the baristas have always been super cool about answering questions about the different bags and tasting notes, and i've always had a fun experience getting to try different coffees from different places. love the way Wayward is doing things, can't wait to come back!

Alex A.

Yelp
We stopped by Wayward Coffee to get our coffee passports stamped. If you love plants, the vibes in this coffee shop are on point! I thought the ambiance of the coffee shop was great and could definitely work from here one day a week. By the way, Cat & Cloud coffee beans from Santa Cruz, California, which are brewed by Wayward Coffee Co., are really great. We ordered the slightly sweeter yet refreshing gold rush iced latte, which was perfect for a hot summer day.

Daniela T.

Yelp
I came here for a quick study spot an hour before they closed. I chose the iced Gold Rush coffee drink and it was great! It's a cute spot with warm natural lighting and plenty of desks for individual seating to do work but it's a bit cramped. It wasn't too loud when I went but it was nice to see a group of people catching up/having fun. Service was alright, they were not mean but they were not welcoming either. I guess they were just wanting to go home. They did not kick me out thankfully but I knew to leave as they were cleaning up the cafe. I might come back another day, for sure at a better time.

Megan N.

Yelp
Cute aesthetic and service is helpful and friendly! My sister and I were in the area and we decided to stop for some coffee. However, their coffee flavoring were just not for us. They do have a lot of variety, so there is plenty to choose from. We got the gold rush and the lighthouse as recommended by the guy behind the counter, but the flavor was not good to us.

Marco P.

Yelp
Vibes are always the best here. Coffee and food is great too. Super quick service. My partner moved in down the street and I stopped in here for the first time the other day. Will definitely be a returning customer ^.^

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
Great first time visiting this coffee shop! The coffee was great and so was the service. I told them I hadn't been in before and the guy kinda talked me through their drink menu. I think got something called the golden hour...or rush...something with the word gold in it lol. Anyways, I ordered it with oat milk and it was so good! Love the location of this shop too. There's street parking nearby but with all of the small businesses around, don't be surprised if you have to park up the street and walk during the busier hours of the day. We went around 10ish AM and it was still busier than I anticipated. Which is great for them! Love that they're getting such great business! Wayward has great esthetic btw and with lots of different seating options. We got lucky that their comfy couch was available so my daughter and I snagged that. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend!

Rue N.

Yelp
Cute, neighborhood coffee shop I dipped into for a couple hot chocolates while in the area. This place has mellow vibes in an airy space that lends itself to social distancing. Although it was pretty full for a Sunday morning, it didn't feel crowded. Putting in my order was quick and they had a couple non-dairy options for my hot chocolate, including oat milk. Overall, this is a cute shop I'd visit again

Marli M.

Yelp
Came in last fall and forgot to review till now (oops). I really loved the shop! Knowledgeable baristas who were helpful and patient. The shop was pretty busy and not a lot of seating so we sat at the communal table and worked for about an hour. It was quiet and I was able to focus, which was nice! I ordered the goldrush latte and my husband got a seasonal special, the ol' timer. Both were super good and unique flavors. The vibes were great and I love the old west touches! Definitely will return.

Madigan M.

Yelp
This small little coffee shop is right on the edge of Bishop Arts - don't miss it! The indoor space is clean and stylish, if a little crowded. I opted for a seat at one of the cafe tables out on the sidewalk. Good, strong black coffee, along with a pretty standard menu of espresso drinks seemed to be on offer. Lots of plants enliven the space. I loved the jaunty cowboy tipping his hat at the front window.

Julie T.

Yelp
Wonderful environment and delicious baked goods--on a weekend be sure you get there early while they still have cookies or scones left!

Craig S.

Yelp
I had an iced espresso which was very good. Friendly staff and a very clean place. The one downside was that I went there for a coffee and some kind of pastry or baked good. They apparently don't have anything like that. I'm sure I'm not alone in being a person that likes to have something to eat with their coffee, so I thought that was a bit odd, and disappointing, but it was my assumption.

Michael H.

Yelp
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: One of the few places now that still ask for masks and provide them. I've come full circle. And the staff and coffee are fantastic. Really happy with this addition the the neighborhood.

Lorie E.

Yelp
I visit this place a few times a year when I visit my daughter. I don't know how they make their almond milk lattes but they are hands down the best latte I've ever had. My daughter gets a tea. Most always I carry out and continue my walk but also the atmosphere for dine in is very pleasant.

Carolina A.

Yelp
Wayward is a new OC staple and I'm so glad they're expanding to more space. Their coffee is excellent, their (dog-friendly!) space is minimal but cozy, and their staff is friendly but fast (they can get pretty busy!). Extra mile moment: I mentioned to one of the barista's that their new POS system was pulling your full name from your CC to your ticket and that the info was visible on the screen to the person behind you in line (just a small thing on a new system) and the next day it was fixed. Changing systems is stressful enough by itself and it was definitely above and beyond to address it so quick.

Haldo T.

Yelp
Fantastic ambience, great study space,. A gold rush with an extra shot is always a go to, iced or hot depending on the weather. The staff are always friendly. Only draw back is the space, but the newer location has solved that!

Asheki B.

Yelp
My first visit but won't be my last! I had the Gold Rush. It was GREAT! I definitely could taste the quality of the coffee and ingredients. It wasn't just mass produced coffee.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Me and my husband were visiting from NC and wanted to stamp our coffee passports. We read the reviews and decided to give this one a shot! This is hands down the best coffee shop we tried in the area (and we did try a good bunch). Highly recommend!

Olivér H.

Yelp
Immaculate vibes here. Had a awesome Cortado and grabbed a bag of beans for home! Beautiful space and really incredible barista and team here!

Alondra J.

Yelp
Not friendly to people of color. Every time a white person comes in they get a "hey guys how is it going" meanwhile the rest don't even get a hi. The coffee is good but the chairs are not comfortable at all and it's always loud making it impossible to work. This place needs to work on making it inclusive especially since it's in a POC neighborhood!!!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Coffee was beautiful and delicious! Great environment to work or just hang out for a bit.

Doug D.

Yelp
Came here with some friends for coffee, it's a nice looking coffee shop and they're polite and knowledgeable. Very no frills I got my usual iced mocha and it was one of the better ones they had. My friend's son got a hot cocoa in a cute little cup. Very relaxing vibe and we both enjoyed it.

Melissa A.

Yelp
Wayward is my go to spot if I want coffee in this area. Customer service is always on point and I love their seasonal lattes/drinks. If you want to hangout, it may be difficult because this place is so popular. Sometimes you have to get it to go.

Wendy R.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop! Has an amiable atmosphere with cute decor. Staff was friendly and helpful!

Hannah H.

Yelp
Decided to stop by for a quick afternoon pick me up. I ordered a cold brew with almond milk and my partner ordered just a cold brew. I had no complaints with my drink. However, they forgot about my partner's drink to the point I had to go back up to the counter and ask for it. After we did finally get the cold brew, it was EXTREMELY bitter/acidic. I'm not sure what they served him but I have never had a cold brew taste that awful. We ended up just throwing it away (yes, that bad!). That being especially strange considering my cold brew with almond milk was pretty good. The staff wasn't the friendliest either and the atmosphere was just bleh. Overall, we won't be back. There's a lot of coffee shops in Dallas that are quality.. this isn't one of them.

Pam F.

Yelp
Came to this coffee shop when a different coffee shop on the same street didn't offer any alternative milks and had a 'tude when we left . We were greeted kindly here and I wouldn't have felt uncomfortable if I had any questions . Delightful coffee done really well . Great atmosphere. Great seating . Great service .

Noah V.

Yelp
Wayward is in the convo for best shop in Dallas no question! I have been several times and the espresso is great! Their roaster, Cat Cloud, is some of the best coffee I've had. Also, the staff is very well-rounded. You are guaranteed a good cup no matter who is on bar. The guys who own it put people and coffee first and you can tell when you come. The interior is a nice setup and they are always playing jams! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a good 3rd wave coffee experience.

Jeremy G.

Yelp
Truly the highest quality coffee shop in Dallas proper (easily the best in Oak Cliff). They know their stuff but not in a pompous, unapproachable way. Atmosphere is pleasant, and staff is kind. Go here and support local businesses

Dolline M.

Yelp
Waiting for a show at the Kessler and I was wondering around and found this gem! The Lighthouse Latte with lavender, chocolate and activated charcoal definitely piqued my interest...was not disappointed! Such a cute shop and even better drinks! Will definitely stop by the next time I'm in the neighborhood!!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Coffee was great. It was packed busy when I went, and the venue isn't huge, so that might be a consideration for trying to social distance. They had two pop up vendors - a florist and a grilled cheese maker. The only baked good they had left that I could have was a cookie. (Not a particularly veg or vegan friendly place.) I'd have given 5 stars if they would have had a little more in the way of food, but overall I enjoyed my experience there :).

Ann P.

Yelp
Parking may be difficult on the busy day. Today is Sunday and it's in the afternoon so I didn't have any trouble. There aren't much people in here but that's okay for me because I have to study and need a table for a while. Cute and small coffee shop. Enjoyed their latte. Very good quality coffee beans. Friendly staff. Not too loud which is sometimes a dealbreaker for me. They're fairly new. The barista said they've been open for 4 months. Come support them and get some good coffee!

Ruben R.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the automosphere here. Came on a Saturday when they did a pop up breakfast spot and even a floral station. Very lively fun place. Good coffee and the food was absolutely delicious - by revsgrilledcheese I had their brunch menu.
