Roofies, ‘Bad Boys’: Celebrity Chef Ming Tsai Draws Ire Over Recent Interview Comments | Eater Boston

"A public radio station's event space that hosts a monthly “Curated Cuisine” series of on-stage interviews with chefs, cookbook authors, and other food-world figures; it was the setting for an hour-long interview in which a visiting celebrity chef made comments that later sparked online backlash, and the full recording of the conversation is available on the station's website." - Erika Adams

Beautiful atmosphere. If you have an event after 6 try to arrive before 6 to get the parking spot which for some reason the one disabled parking spot becomes free game to everyone🤦‍♀️ can we say Boston ugly laws... disabled people deserve accessible spots at all times of the day including evenings!!! Anyways I didn't reflect that in my rating because I'm sure that's the city of Boston(who had a lawsuit against itself for the lack of accessibility) not WBUR CitySpace that went above and beyond to make sure my mother(Walker user)and I(a wheelchair user) had accessible spots saved for us to sit. That doesn't say anything about the people at the event that all but trampled us to get out first for the book signing🤦‍♀️ otherwise it was a lovely event. The door openers work great and the ramps aren't steep so that was awesome. The one accessible spot was so close to the door which was awesome. Beware of the bike path in between the spot and the door though. Otherwise it was an awesome night. So excited to have seen Alyson Stoner speak and get my book signed. I will say the person that introduced Alyson and the moderator got the pronouns of Alyson wrong but fixed it in the written down sharing of their bio that was read. The moderator was awesome. Asked really deep good questions and made sure to include audience questions. Overall, it was a great evening and CitySpace put on an excellent event at a great price! So glad we went!

My favorite venue in Boston! The lineup has everything from interesting conversations on books, movies, music, food and much more. Fun activities like a running club night, kick boxing class, speed dating for friends and karaoke. The tickets are inexpensive and directly support WBUR. Always excited to see what is coming to CitySpace next!

Went and was entertained by Jack The Wiper and Seth, with Kevin as large head 🤣. Great show, cozy and friendly venue. Easy to get to but, parking and driving in can be an issue if you don't know the area. The Staff was very helpful. Also, beer and wine, snacks and non alcoholic drinks available at their concession window. I highly recommend both the show and venue. Had a Fun Night!

The space here is definitely incredible, but what's even more incredible is Sedea. She is the event manager who holds together everything inside and sometimes outside of this space. We had an event there way back on the 12th of April and anything that could go wrong on my end did go wrong. Thank the food Lord Sedea was there to seamlessly bring it all back together. I'm grateful to her and will NEVER forget her. Thank you, Sadea. I appreciate you!

What a lovely event with Jacques Pepin. His story is amazing and just seeing him in person was such an honor. Love him and his cooking. The treat after the event of his butternut squash soup with cornbread was very yummy. I loved meeting him during the book signing. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

This place is so impressive! The staff was friendly, the seats are comfortable and the sound quality is fantastic! I attended the interview with Dr. David Sinclair about longevity. I will definitely lol for other events here.

This is a great public space. It provides a warm, intimate experience with the performer/speaker. It's like someone captured all of the awesomeness of listening to WBUR and captured it in architecture. I parked in the Aggis Arena lot across the street. Cheap and convenient. Looking for street parking isn't worth the hassle.

We went to the Moth Story Telling event there with our son and his friends from Northeastern. Excellent venue, great MC and the stories were great!!! Mixed crowd with helpful staff, drinks and snacks.

Yelp
I went to see a mortified show at WBUR city space a couple weeks ago. It was so incredibly hilarious. That kind of funny where you get an ab workout from laughing so hard. We walked in about two minutes after the show was scheduled to start. Most people were already seated. Several people in our group waited in line for drinks while one person went into save seats. Because we did not arrive early, we did not get the best seats. (I recommend arriving when the seating opens versus doing what we did !) Also, make sure you use the bathroom before finding seats if you're drinking (or have a tiny bladder), because the show is long and if you are sitting in the wrong spot, it is really awkward to get up and walk out in front of everybody during the show so you can use the bathroom LOL. 10 out of 10 highly recommend going to see a show in the space, which is very intimate with nice acoustics.

Yelp
This venue is amazing. I do think it would be nice if the stage was just a little higher because it's hard to see people who are sitting if the person in front of you have a big head. But overall, modern, comfortable, every seat is a good seat.

Yelp
The WBUR City Space opened last spring, and is located right on BU West Campus. The first weekend they opened they had a free concert of these two folk musicians preformed! It was amazing, free, no tickets required, and not too big of a stage. They also had cameras rolling. They have amazing events happening here nearly extra day. I recommend checking out their Facebook page or website for the actual events. Many of them are free. They have many famous cooks, authors, musicians all come to give talks. They also have networking events with cook and drinks. If you're in the area this place is definitely worth getting out! Most of the time you can just want in and ask for a free sticker or some sort of newsletter with all the events, the employees are always very sweet!

Yelp
This is an incredible venue. The acoustics are amazing, the restrooms are immaculate, and the design is as functional as it is attractive. I plan to attend many more events here!
