My wife and I visited We Dat on our first evening in New Orleans. I went to Tuskegee for a minute & knew of the owner, so I've been wanting to visit this place since it opened. My first time in New Orleans, our hotel was down the street.
The Atmosphere: There are several tables provided inside, if you'd like to eat your meal. In addition, they play good music here.
The Service: Probably amongst the worse I've had. When my wife and I arrived, there was only one person in front of us, so we felt that it wouldn't take too long. It took maybe 20-25 minutes JUST for us to order. Talk about waiting patiently. This lady was staring at us in our eyes, with an attitude, as she was on the phone taking her sweet time. At this point, the line is out of the door by the time we got the chance to order. THEN, we had to wait on the food to be prepared, which took about another 20-25 minutes. Overall, we spent about a hour in this place, JUST TO GET FOOD. We didn't even eat in. Service is amongst the worse.
The Food: I ordered the Shrimp Wrap w/ fries and my wife had wings & fries. The wings were TRASH! Horrible! No crisp whatsoever and the flavor wasn't good. My shrimp wrap was decent, wet as ever, but decent.
Overall, I think I'm good on We Dat. I was definitely disappointed, as I had been wanting to try this place for such a long time. If I return to NO, I doubt I'll be returning to We Dat.
