Google
Weaver Street Market has a great selection of items, leaning more on the healthy side. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, which is a nice change compared to other local markets. One thing I love about this location is the upstairs lounge — perfect for studying or grabbing lunch. Prices are definitely a bit higher than a regular market, but it makes sense given the location and quality. The restrooms could use a little more attention, but overall I always have a good experience here.

Meggie M.

Google
Great grocery store option for sensitive diets - vegan, gluten free, dairy free - you can find them all! Good fruits and veggies section, my only negative is no one was running the counters for smoothies or coffee on Sunday afternoon but they did have ready made options in fridges.

Terry F.

Google
We love shopping here, great selection of coffee and they have my favorite chips. Cool managers and the team members are so nice to us. Stop in and check em out.

Pretty impressed by the healthy options available. I love Mama Salsa Avocado lime so going to Weaver Street Market was a must. I was lucky enough to find Sprouted Corn Tortillas.

Google
Beautiful, clean, community and employee owned grocery store and food bar. Something for everyone. Extremely well maintained. Easy to navigate with wide aisles. I highly recommend for anyone looking to buy local or support the community. A wonderful Market I will visit again. Several locations around NC!

Google
Great selection of produce, meat, dairy, health, dry items and prepared food. All of the staff is attentive and nice. A gem in downtown Raleigh for sure.

Google
In general, 5 stars. I love the little cafe (indoors & outdoors) seating upstairs. The hot bar is $9.99/lb and there’s a fair variety for the size of the grocery store. Lots of veggie stuff (love the Indian options!). Just a couple chicken dishes. Love the cake options too. So far, my only detractor is that the water fountains upstairs are a little filthy and there are no napkins upstairs. Oh… and the plastic containers the cake slices are in are incredibly hard to open - the plastic grooves lock in really tight! Women’s / Men’s bathrooms downstairs. All gender restrooms are upstairs.

ANITA A.

Google
Great local food choices. Has one of the best bakeries, the layers of lamination in their croissant is unbelievable for a store bakery. Has the nicest helpful staff consistently.

Yelp
I stopped into Weaver Street Market while staying nearby for business. A quick Yelp search brought it up so I looked and went over. The interior is nice and clean. There is space to navigate the aisles so you aren't on top of other patrons. The product selection is pretty good with a great variety of tofus, some I've not seen before. I.e pumpkin seed tofu, hemp seed tofu etc. They have a nice variety of things on the salad bar. However I had to really pick my way through the spinach as there were some pieces that were slimy. Hence I deducted a star for that. The hot bar looked good as well but I didn't try anything from it. Check out was quick and friendly. I enjoyed my time there and would go back again.

Yelp
This store caters and welcomes their demographic... and only their demographic. Funny thing is, all the reviews supporting this statement gets deleted throughout the years.

Yelp
Came here to grab some lunch and food for dinner later. Lots of options and I like that they have outdoor seating. There's a ramp to the side and elevator to the second floor. We got sardines, a salad and a slice of pizza and it was a perfect quick meal. I liked the whole wheat crust of the pizza and there was plenty of cheese with fresh veggies.

Yelp
Love this store. It's a tad expensive, but the selection is unparalleled. And if you join their co-op, the pricing becomes a little bit more reasonable. The hot bar is a great option for lunch. You come away spending less than you would for a traditional lunch option, and depending on what you get it's just as tasty if not tastier.

Yelp
Weaver Street is great. Living in the area, it's super convenient to walk down to grab produce or a snack when I need it. The vast majority of their prepared foods and bakery items made in-house are delicious and reasonably priced. Plenty of seating options to sit at the store if you'd like to eat there, too. The prices are a little high (best way to describe it is that it's like a locally owned Whole Foods), but knowing that most of what they sell supports local farming or co-ops makes up for it. Lastly, their employees are always so nice and helpful. And on top of that, they proudly support LGBTQ+ individuals, and welcome everyone.

Yelp
Overpriced and poor quality sums up everything they offer literally every other local grocery store has a better hot bar. the. quality of it and their prepared foods is abysmal. low quality of food. wegmanns, Publix, Whole Foods , even Harris teeter far superior. I had shopped there on the excellence of the staff even that is gone. A once friendly knowledgeable staff has been replaced almost completely by very, very poorly trained staff. the managers appear totally clueless and unprofessional. To sum it up high prices very poor food quality inadequate poorly trained staff.. Stay away Publix is only a few blocks away and far superior

Penelope W.

Yelp
So this I hope enlightening look at a local store many of you are loyal . So first it's over priced. The quality standards of the place is a 90 barely acceptable. In the past 2 weeks alone hundreds of dollars of dairy had to be disposed of expired while some was sold. So why what's you perceive is a quaint little store is such the train wreck, well the man is Lee a disastrous store manager, his previous experience produce supervisor at Whole Foods, oh it obvious the carrots look star worthy. The problem no desire to learn any process or department can barely run a register, no operational skills at all, can't run a single department. No leadership skills has lost 2 long term managers going on3 long term managers and 13?employees since November 2024so whose the constant problem. Lee boycott WSM Raleigh and contact the board

Karen P.

Yelp
Sweet little healthy foods market in Raleigh. Got our dairy free gluten free items, some good wines, supplements, teas etc. I'd def shop here if I lived close by. Not cheap but good quality.

Yelp
What an awesome little market! It blew my mind how cool this place is. If you lived downtown, this is the place to go to get your groceries. I walked around to compare the prices to regular groceries stores and it's not bad at all. The meat is a bit pricey but everything else is about right. I also like the coffee bar, beer selection, variety of food on the hot bar, deli, pizza stand, and more. There's also an upstairs area that I didn't get to check out. It looks like office space and a bar. What a way to make the best out of a space! The bathrooms are also clean. Not only, there was a sign about 60 minute free parking. I love this concept! I hope that it stays.

Yelp
Amazing coop market in downtown Raleigh. I stopped in for lunch and put together a really nice meal at the hot bar. Barbecue pork (of course) and some veggies. A pretty good portion and with a big bottle of fizzy water, $11. Nice! Lots of ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat meals here. And lots of other goodies that you can definitely use to fill in your kitchen. The condos nearby must love this place! They do have validation for parking and there is street parking nearby too. Yelp
Why was there no fanfare when this store opened a month ago? This place is so deserving. The employees are among the most friendly I've seen, and they're proud of this clean, bright, modern store. Kristen in produce told me WSM is a co-op. Employees, and shoppers who choose to pay an annual fee, share ownership. She said they have a board of directors, and they pay employees a living wage. You don't have to join the co-op to shop here. They have a hot food bar ($8.99/lb.), a nice olive bar ($10.99/lb.), a specialty cheese case, a beautiful bread section, and a gorgeous produce department. These are in addition to a small grocery section and a small wine section. Not everything is organic, but you can find lots of healthy foods. Upstairs, you'll find two balconies (one indoors and one outdoors), a demonstration kitchen, and a small bar with "ten on tap," although it was closed today. Some prices were similar to what you'd find in other local groceries, but some prices were a bit higher. We parked in a near-by garage that's free on weekends. Weaver Street Market gives us a good reason to go to downtown Raleigh more often!

Yelp
Update your store hours Please! On Yelp It says the store is open until 10PM Thanks

Caroline S.

Yelp
I love Weaver Street Market, but the pre made food is TERRIBLE. It's never bothered me too much, but yesterday I bought a vegetarian wrap (no meat listed in the ingredients) and it had this really strange meat in it. Full on mystery meat in my wrap. Even if I was a meat eater, I wouldn't have eaten it. It was disgusting. For a place that is so inclusive i was so disappointed and shocked to have a mistake like that happen. Thankfully I don't have an allergy, but this wrap advertised as having no meat in it caused me to eat meat for the first time in over 4 years. Unacceptable

Yelp
Anytime I dine at the Morgan Street Food Hall, I have to pay a visit to this great local and primarily organic food market. On this particular day I procured a variety of organic local apples, and they were all delectable. There is a fabulous selection available of wine from independent makers. And I spied a table full of freshly baked bread that I could smell even through my mask! I love this place. If it was closer to home, they would see my face every day!

Yelp
Mannnnn, I would have LOVED having this a couple blocks away from me when I lived downtown. I bought a salad and a really fresh jalapeño cheddar roll and a cookie. All were delicious and high quality (and high priced, but I knew that going into it). I hadn't been to Weaver Street Market for a long time- the one in Southern Village in Chapel Hill- and I remember thinking it was fine, but I didn't remember the food being this fresh and delicious. Smart move, you guys. Great idea to come to Raleigh!

Yelp
This local market downtown was very cool and had a lot of good priced local items as well as items like breads and pastries made there. We could have easily spent an hour going through all the items for sale there and I would definitely shop here if I lived locally. A great place.

Yelp
Staff here- rude, Multiple Management- bad leader Expired products- I found a yogurt 2 days old sitting to be sold with a clearance sticker Tables- not wiped with clean cloths as should be and seats wiped before tables. Soap dispenser - sometimes empty-how do they wash their hands?? Most of all, I witnesses a staff empty the recyclables we leave in the black containers in the trash. SHAME ON YOU! I was retaliated against for the last review that I posted to the Carrboro location that should have been placed here. And not once of the various concerns of maltreatment was I ever issued an apology. Then they have the audacity to remove the surveys from receipts. I can see you do it and it is on the receipt that a survey was issued. Take the survey away. You can't stop my voice. Hints Yelp...

Yelp
Love this coop. Prices are similar to Whole Foods. But lot's of local stuff. Much smaller scale snd do will run out if stuff snd seasonal stuff is ...well... seasonal. Seafood is so fresh... trout, scallops, etc. Wish they had more of it... especially wild caught trout. If they had an expanded deli section to provide Roast Beef, and Prosciutto ... would be ideal. Lastly, they carry Green Valley Organics products -Kefir and yogurt... wish they also carried the cottage cheese, the butter, and cream cheese and sour cream. This lactose free real dairy loving consumer would be in heaven and wouldn't need to make a special Whole Foods trip. I try to ho weekly or bi-monthly snd just got my coop membership... a real sense of community. Got a T-shirt snd shopping back with my membership... so sweet! Happy you are in my hood!!!

Yelp
What a wonderful location! Close to Dorothea Dix if you are here walking your dog in the park or are a fellow worker for the State of North Carolina. Takes less than 10 minutes to grab a quick bite of lunch here! Love their second story outdoor seating! So nice to get away from a stuffy work building, enjoy fresh air, local food, and people watch from above! I personally like going out here when its a little bit cold outside so the balcony is deserted and you can be alone and away from the crowd! If you are a fan of fancy ramen you are going to LOVE THEIR HOT BAR!! They have a self serve option of the meat based broth or the plant based miso! Options for gluten free rice noodles or hearty wheat based noodles. Serving size is MASSIVE. Speaking as a marathon runner, if you have an appetite this is the place to go!

Yelp
Huge fan of the new Weaver Street Market in DTR. Finally, a grocery store downtown! Their customer service is fantastic, their store is well spaced out so it never feels overly crowded and they have a large variety from the hot bar. I love that they have a coffee shop, bakery and cheese area. Although the don't have a deli, they have prepackage items. You'll find more select products here that are curated, so although it's a little pricier sometimes, they often have sales, especially for their co-op members. If parking is an issue, they do free curbside pick-up for all customers regardless of co-op status. Although, you can mark in the Dillion for free (a block away) for one hour with $10 purchase. Love that they also have a large area to eat, both inside and outside, and great deals from their upstairs bar. Definitely a fan and so happy it brings some local back to an area of downtown that has changed so much over the few years.

Yelp
First time here and there is a lot of grocery and beauty love to take in! Wallace was on point in teaching me how to use the bread slicing machine so I keep all of these . We bought the seeded ciabatta for 2.89 and I feel like that is a steal for fresh baked bread. I can't wait to come back and learn more about WSM!

Yelp
A high-end food store in an appropriate neighborhood. This wasn't a huge place, but it offered an excellent selection of pristine produce, niche special diet staples, and fresh food. Some tables outside were available for eating, and some restrooms inside were handy. Being transient at the moment, I had little use for perishables, but still found some delicious looking snacks. I wouldn't do all my shopping here, but I'd prefer it over WF.

Yelp
Second visit, so glad to have an option that is not Food Lion, L live 3 miles away. I like the meat, customer service, produce, bakery and more, definitely an option to going to Whole Foods and I like this better than Sprouts, it is similar, it may not always be a one stop shop but if you have not checked this out I recommend you go, they also have cold bar, hot bar pizzas and more options
google avatar

Yelp
This place is fantastic! I go all the time and the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the food is fresh and well-made. They have lots of prepared items, a hot bar, and a coffee bar too. Lots of seating. Give this business your love!

Yelp
Weaver Street Market is awesome! I have been a few times in Carrboro and Chapel Hill and while the downtown Raleigh location definitely has a more hip/urban feel to it, it has all the components that make Weaver Street great. The prepared food here and hot bar here is always great and delicious. And they stock tons of local, NC and organic items! They offer a co-op membership here for a one time $75 which comes with a t-shirt, reusable bag, and the best thing weekly coupons for different in-store items. Admittedly, Weaver Street Market is expensive due to the items they choose to sell so I don't do my weekly grocery shopping here but the coupons make stocking up on items easy if there is a deal! For example, this week there was a coupon for all citrus products and frozen seafood which brings the price of those items to more reasonable levels (and you're buying from a local source!) In a half year of beIng a member, I've definitely saved way more than $75. Definitely awesome that there is a grocery store in downtown Raleigh and make sure to support them so they stick around for a long time! Side note: parking at The Dillon next door can be validated if you spend more than $10

Yelp
Weaver Street is a co-op that just opened in downtown. It's organic and has an amazing hot bar, coffee and smoothie bar, pizza and sandwich bar, salad bar, and noodle bar. The seating upstairs is open and plentiful and there's even two outdoor balconies for eating. We very much enjoyed our meal - we got a turkey bacon sandwich to share. It came on homemade cheddar bread and had some delicious tomatoes that were seeped in flavor. The sandwich plus some veggies was plenty of food but we had to top it off with a trip to the ambrosia bar. I tried the whipped coconut yogurt, fruit and nut topping, and a small drizzle of maple syrup. The whole place had samples - coffee, fruit, yogurt, pie, bread, and cake. We left stuffed. Parking is tough in this area BUT Weaver Street will validate parking deck if you make a purchase of $10 I think. Check out their website for more details.

Yelp
Ok I never knew this place existed until about a week ago!! I will definitely be back to partake in the hot bar and salad bar. The food looks so fresh and everything looks tempting. They do provide samples of various items. The grocery part offers a lot of good options. Once I get a chance to stop in and try some food items or make a purchase I will update my review.

Yelp
It's a great store except for the obviously stoned cashier. I'm pro-legalization but if you're so high it's affecting your work you have a problem.

Yelp
Can I just tell you that this place is truly a remarkable market smack dab in the middle of Raleigh?! Every time I go in, I am amazed at the quality of the food selections, as well as the friendliness of the staff. This morning, I had a post-Thanksgiving breakfast there. The bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit is to die for! I had the chance to meet Ollie, Ernest, Kate, and Emory. 4 TERRIFIC Ambassadors for this small chain. If you haven't already, check them out soon!

E'pryl L.

Yelp
Here is my first experience at Weaver Street Market. This review is not for the quality of the store or it's products but the customer service received May 2nd, 2020. I walked in and was not greeted by staff but the caucasian people in front of me were greeted as well as the the caucasian people who walked in after me. I walked straight to the Coastal ATM/Teller and got on the phone with the Teller and sensed someone staring at me. A staff member, caucasian lady, was staring at me while bagging other customers! While making my way to the exit, the same lady shouts at me "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BE IN HERE, WITH OUT A MASK ON!!!" No, she didn't offer a mask. No, she didn't kindly walk up 6ft and speak. No, there was not a sign when I walked in that says you have to wear a mask. No, Raleigh does not have a rule saying you have to wear one. But chose to shout across the floor. As I continued to walk, I looked down two isles and noticed three people, one being a staff member, standing within close proximity of each other without a mask on .... they're white too. FYI I'm the only African American person in the store. On my way to my car one of the male staff followed me out the door and half way to my car. This issue is not about race, privilege or judgment, but purposely trying to make it noticeable that someone like me is not welcomed. This place was discovered because I searched "CFCU near me" and the address came up (404 West Hargett Street). There was no intention for me to shop there. After experiencing such distaste, needless to say I will not be returning to this location. Further more, will be reporting this incident to the Board of Directors. This behavior is unacceptable.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Store clerk very rude. Was in store for the first time perusing what they offered. Was considering buying a few things. No one else was in the store. I pulled my mask down for one second to adjust something. From at least 2 yards away she was eyeing me and reprimanded me very rudely. By then I had already put my mask back on. She was also staring nastily at me and my son. Wouldn't recommend the place. Prices very high as well.

Yelp
I just LOVE that we finally have a Weaver Street Market (WSM) in Raleigh! I joined a couple weeks ago (although totally not necessary) because I want to support a true local co-op market that is selling "clean, healthy" foods that don't have a lot of extra chemicals and other ingredients, etc. As a WSM member, I receive(d) coupons and saved about $45 on my last shopping trip Sunday! I got a free canvas bag, t-shirt and there is also free parking available in the Dillon across the street...although I've never had problem finding an on street parking place. And even though I live very close to a literally half dozen groceries within a mile or two in my North Raleigh neighborhood, I drive the 10 miles downtown to shop at WSM. I also round up my grocery bill total to donate to "A Place at the Table" - a wonderful "pay it forward" breakfast/lunch restaurant across the street. It's also one of my favorite places to go on weekends w/my husky sitting outside to eat and then walking her down to Boylan and Western Boulevard area to get a good walk in as well. Stop by, I think you'll be glad you did!

Yelp
Please address your management staff about how to address a service animal and it's handler. There is a federal guideline for how to ask if the animal with handler is in fact a service animal and how the service animal is supposed to behave. Also my mask fall down slightly while trying to look down to touch the uncleaned keypad from the person before me to pay, and the same manager stopped what I was doing just to tell me I needed to lift my mask up slightly. So then I touched my face covering and went back to touching the keypad. Just to have a policy and not allow some common sense or even a little curtesy seems like a store I wouldn't want to visit again. Thank you for the experience of not wanting to come back.

Steph S.

Yelp
A wonderful market in downtown Raleigh. Good selection and fresh items. Looking forward to trying the prepared and hot food options.

Yelp
Love this place so much!!! Has all the local and regular grocery items you need, plus amazing prepared food, coffee/tea bar, outdoor seating, and super friendly staff. Definitely my new work place and lunch spot!!

Kate L.

Yelp
Truly is as good as it gets! Customer service is top-notch. The selection of cheeses is broad and the bakery is fantastic. I find everything I need. The vegetables are top-notch. We especially love the locally farmed greens (e.g., arugula, salad mix). Bonus points: I lost my kn95 mask (fell out of pocket?) but Weever street had masks for sale. Thank you! Very different from a nearby grocery chain (won't mention names) where the poor employees neither wore masks or gloves! Am a proud member of Weever and will continue to support them. Also, round up your bill and the cents go to A Place at the Table. How great is that!

Erin B.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Weaver Street Market! Great addition to downtown Raleigh! Fresh food and great local finds. Hot buffet and grab and go options are excellent with a nice upstairs to stay and eat. Don't forget to bring reusable bags - they charge for bags. But they have options to purchase if you forget.

Signal S.

Yelp
I've been hoping for a grocery spot in down down. I find it so inconvenient to drive out of the way for a quality Market. I'm glad to finally have one near me, where staff is extra friendly, and store is clean, and organized.

Marshall D.

Yelp
I'm bummed that it took me this long to check it out-- Great products, fair prices, and very convenient. Parking wasn't an issue AT ALL. I'll be doing all my downtown grocery shopping here.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Finally visited and so impressed with this market! We bought some berries bc samples were fresh and delicious. Picked up some pre-made salads: tuna was yummy, cole slaw was very tasty. Then the cherry on top was their vegan flatbread pizza -was the best pizza I have had in years! Such a clean store with fresh organic and vegan options. Nice hot bars and bakery that smelled heavenly. There was also an upper deck area I plan to relax on with a cup of coffee on next time. Free parking if you spend 10.00. Really impressed ... thinking of becoming a member now. Clerk said the 75.00 fee to do that is 100% refundable if you decide not to shop there anymore. No matter we will be regulars now.
