Absolutely stunning space! Perfectly curated for wine and cheese enthusiasts. The wine director, Maggie, puts a lot of care and attention into promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Ask her for a recommendation on a bottle, she will always steer you in the right direction. I had no idea they have tables in a loft space. Make a reservation because this place will fill up fast!!

This is less of a cheese bar, and more of a cheese experience. Greeted at the door by an exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic Maggie, we didn't wait too long for seats at the bar. While we were waiting we were checked in on multiple times, including a visit from the owner Steve, who is charming and beyond knowledgeable. Our crew is adventurous so we chose to let the cheese mongers pick our cheeses and they delivered on every cheese. A beautiful selection that covered all flavor profiles, and a few that I had not even heard of (and I'm a cheese fan). The wine selection was well cultivated, and everything in the shop perfectly complemented the selection. The bar service was also fast and friendly, particularly Mattie! Thanks to the entire staff for an amazing evening and perfect wasy to celebrate the beginning of summer!

This is just the kind of place the piedmont of North Carolina needed. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is knowledgeable, but the food/cheese is the real star of the show. We tried a dish from each section of the menu, and all were worthy of being ordered again. In particular, the trio of butters and the Greek salad (no lettuce - just feta and delicious veggies, including perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes) were fabulous!

Excellent service, approachable menu that will please cheese snobs & their not so snobby friends. We thought the price to quality was perfect. Sandwiches are huge - perfect to split with a friend. Loved the $10 corkage on in-house wines by the bottle. We had a beautiful Riesling from the Langhe (Piedmont, Italy) that paired beautifully with our cheese selections. I recommended the place to three friends before our bill came. Grateful to have such a thoughtful, tasty and down to earth option in Carrboro.

Great place! A relative is the chef there, but really no bias here. It's a great place, great cheese selection and very knowledgeable cutter, just wish I had more time to grab a bite. The buzz I heard while there from other patrons was only rave reviews. I'll definitely be back! I spent over 4 years stationed in Germany and traveled throughout Europe extensively, so I think I know good cheese when I taste it, especially in Holland! And here I thought good cheese only came in a can!!

Ir's rare when I give one star reviews but this experience/interaction certainly earned it. I had seen pictures of Wedgewood Cheese Bar and it looked pretty interesting. Took a while to find some parking but hoofed it over. I asked the man working the bar if I could just grab a glass of wine, I had eaten earlier and wanted to check out the space and see what they were doing. He says yes, so I grab a seat at the bar. He pours me a glass of water but there's no wine menu. I track one down on the other side of the bar and I'm ready to order some vino. He proceeds to ignore me for nearly 10 minutes. There's 5 other people at the bar and nowhere to hide. Proceeds to service other orders including a couple sitting next to me (who came in after my arrival) and continues to ignore me, avoiding eye contact. I give him another minute and walk out. Terrible behavior given that I specifically asked if I could just grab a glass of wine to check out the place. I've written close to 2,000 reviews online and on my blog over the past 20 years. I have walked out of a handful of places due to poor service but certainly not ever been seated and ignored. This was one of the most egregious examples of poor hospitality and attitude I've experienced in the Triangle. And anyone knows me, I'm typically very supportive and positive for new businesses in the Triangle. Big tipper and easy customer. I've been told by friends I need to be more demanding. So Wedgewood, you earned this review, you need to do some serious retraining of your FoH, especially as a new business.

Absolutely loved our visit to Wedgewood. The wine and cheese were both so delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming and full of charm. Molly and Maggie made the experience extra special - friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate. A unique and delightful spot! I can’t wait to come back.
