This is less of a cheese bar, and more of a cheese experience. Greeted at the door by an exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic Maggie, we didn't wait too long for seats at the bar. While we were waiting we were checked in on multiple times, including a visit from the owner Steve, who is charming and beyond knowledgeable. Our crew is adventurous so we chose to let the cheese mongers pick our cheeses and they delivered on every cheese. A beautiful selection that covered all flavor profiles, and a few that I had not even heard of (and I'm a cheese fan). The wine selection was well cultivated, and everything in the shop perfectly complemented the selection. The bar service was also fast and friendly, particularly Mattie! Thanks to the entire staff for an amazing evening and perfect wasy to celebrate the beginning of summer!

As a cheese lover , I was really excited to pick my cheeses from the front and eat them, but turns out that's not the case, you can select only from a list of one per type They do offer samples and you can buy some to take home , just not eat there My biggest pet peeve was the seating , reservations doesn't make it clear,but high top is a whole section upstairs where you can't see any of the action. The chairs need to higher or counter lower, because you r kinda facing a wall. The salad was just ok ,and took a very long time to come out. Didn't love the red wine choices but they were very kind to me and let us order a few different samples Lemon curd was a pot with crumbled cookie, not a cookie base as I hoped

This is just the kind of place the piedmont of North Carolina needed. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is knowledgeable, but the food/cheese is the real star of the show. We tried a dish from each section of the menu, and all were worthy of being ordered again. In particular, the trio of butters and the Greek salad (no lettuce - just feta and delicious veggies, including perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes) were fabulous!

Absolutely stunning space! Perfectly curated for wine and cheese enthusiasts. The wine director, Maggie, puts a lot of care and attention into promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Ask her for a recommendation on a bottle, she will always steer you in the right direction. I had no idea they have tables in a loft space. Make a reservation because this place will fill up fast!!

Came for one of the food and wine pairing. I like the concept but it lack a little in the execution. Had to traverse the stairs with plates to try the charcuterie. Most of the dishes and cheeses were good but the cacio e pepe was too salty to eat. I did enjoy being able to purchase both the wine and the cheese we tried.

Excellent service, approachable menu that will please cheese snobs & their not so snobby friends. We thought the price to quality was perfect. Sandwiches are huge - perfect to split with a friend. Loved the $10 corkage on in-house wines by the bottle. We had a beautiful Riesling from the Langhe (Piedmont, Italy) that paired beautifully with our cheese selections. I recommended the place to three friends before our bill came. Grateful to have such a thoughtful, tasty and down to earth option in Carrboro.

We stopped by for the first time for one of their summertime Friday afternoon Sips/Nibbles - the place was hopping. The space was bright and airy; very unexpected for the West End - the owners clearly had a vision for what they wanted to create. Tried a few cheese/wine pairings, chatted a bit, and headed upstairs to the balcony where we ordered a cheese board and wine. Great selections and very knowledgeable staff. A real find and highly recommended !

Excellent selection, friendly & efficient staff, a few parking slots onsite but close to Carrboro parking deck. Check out the themed evening events, we both enjoyed the Tuscany one.

Atmosphere and food were both delightful, we sat at the bar which was a great experience. Pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the cheeseboard, but be warned extra bread was $2 which, while not an issue would have been nice to know when asking for it. The house-made apricot jam was a great surprise!

Amazing place to stop into if you're a cheese/wine/charcuterie lover. Highly highly recommend. It's a bit pricey, I won't lie, but you do get more than you pay for here in terms of flavor and experience. We got some roasted nuts and four cheeses; if had a LOT of cheeses and nuts in my day, and their offerings were absolutely scrumptious. Seriously try them out. Plus, get some good cheese for home on your way out the door.

I recommend purchasing cheese & wine elsewhere and consuming on a patio somewhere.The atmosphere leaves something to be desired (persistent blinking overhead lights and wobbly, tightly-spaced chairs.) There is a $3 charge for a small bowl of additional crackers noted on the bill and an explanation of a surcharge for credit card usage but then cash is not accepted.This transparency's intent may be informative but it causes a dining experience to feel more transactional. You may argue "it is a transaction." Danny Meyer would understand my meaning. "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." I left more disappointed and annoyed than I entered.

Our experience at Wedgewood Cheese Bar was AMAZING!!! First of all the food there was delicious and they did a great job at improving simple foods like their B(rie)LT or their bread plate. The service was also amazing. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by eager staff who showed us the menu and gave us suggestions! There was also nice decor all around. From the chairs to the wall of snacks everything was amazing! We will be going back there time and time again!

The best place for cheese in the Triangle. Tucked away in this little gem is both a cheese shop and cafe. The cafe offers unique cheese boards, charcuterie boards, and delicious sandwiches. Of course wine and cider is available to enjoy with your choices.
