Golden West College outdoor market is a nice swapmeet! We brought our big shopping totes and took the kids along. They loved finding all the cool knick-knacks! They also have a variety of eateries to try and places to sit and dine.

I like going to this swapmeet because you find things at a good price, unfortunately this past Sunday I had a bad experience with a dishonest seller there at space S18 ... I went to her table that said $1 ea item, I grabbed 2 items from that table and when I asked how much it was, the prices were no longer $1, now they were $2 each... I told her the sign says $1 and she got very angry, became very aggressive and started to raise her voice... I have experienced that if they don't sell, they take it out on the customer by treating them badly, I don't go to the swapmeet to be mistreated, I go there to have a good day looking for deals, this aggressive lady takes the fun out of it... this is a common behavior of this lady, I noticed before she was mistreating a Vietnamese elderly lady, they should give her strikes and after 3 her kick her out of there and give new sellers a chance...

Google
This is a good place to buy nick nacks. They have a couple of stands that sell fruits and veggies, flowers and other plants, food, and other assorted items. We've been able to find everything here. Hats backpacks and kitchen supplies, there is a stand that sells everything that has to do with surgical type supplies and pliers for jewlery. Great for making jewlery.

Google
It's weak and sad. The vendors have junk and trash selling for new retail prices. If you need an obsolete game controller, a random tool, or a broken kitchen appliance, then this place is for you.

Yelp
FREE, admission and parking, hard to find these days! I happen to be in the Huntington Beach area and wanted to check out the Golden West College Swap Meet during our weekend getaway to Cali. I love shopping and looking at plants, I was on a hunt for Hoyas plants, I saw they had some nice ones on Yelp Photos, but didn't have luck finding any during my visit. This swap meet is HUGE, rows and rows of vendors, I was getting tired by the time we reached the other end of the swap meet but I enjoyed myself looking around, I loved seeing all the plant booth, I really want to buy the bonsai plants and the cherry blossom plant. The succulents are so nice and unique, and orchids. I never seen a variegated orchid ever. The prices are just right! I was also on search for LA dodgers merchandise but didn't see any at all or if I did it was t-shirts. The Golden West College Swap Meet is held on Sundays at Golden West College, of course! Nice of the college to let them host the swap meets here. There are security walking/monitoring around the premises so I feel safe. This swap meet offers a wide variety of vendors selling everything from clothing , footwear, accessories, household items, collectibles, plants, seafood, and even produce!! I was surprised to see vendor selling crab, spider crab at 3.99lb, first time I've seen that type of crab. Golden West College Swap Meet, is a great place to find deals and support local vendors, If you're in the area, it's worth checking out!!

Yelp
I gor bed bugs , There are people that are clean and people that are filthy, Avoid the filthy ones, They are the ones that are on the floor with no tables, I wish the people in charge would enforce tables and get them to remove the trash before coming to the swap meet,

Yelp
I come here for the fruit tent and the food stalls. They've gotten way better over the years! GWC swap meet is better than occ swapmeet (you have to pay to get in for that one). Wear some comfortable shoes and bring your own bags/carts whatever. There are multiple signs and idk why yall people wanna fuq around and find out.

Alexandra S.

Yelp
Love this swap meet and I look forward to going each weekend! This swap meet is HUGE! There's something for everyone! Greats prices for plants, books, shoes, decor, anime things, Hello Kitty stuff, Stanley cups and art. I also like to get my honey here for the best quality and taste! If you're into crystals, there's a lady here who makes the absolute best crystal bracelets. I usually enjoy grabbing a snack or ice coffee while browsing. I've also had some really great pho here and tacos! It does get hot in the summer time and sometimes parking is filled up. Still, this absolutely blows the Huntington Beach Night market out of the water with its selection and prices!

Yelp
I arrived really early at 5:30 am and the vendors were setting up. Restrooms were open. It was a cultural experience. I had churros and Vietnamese coffee. I love to sew and this collection of vendors did not fail to impress me. I bought velvet and so many jazzy fabrics. A book vender was there and he also sold DVDs and CDs. He had travel, decorating, self improvement and kids books. I bought classics of Jane Austin and Charlotte Bronte for $2 each. Also got a classic Cuban cotton and silk men's shirt for only $5. So many cool hats to choose from. I bought 6 for these up coming 100+ plus days. You easily can spend all day.

Yelp
Free. Parking lot can but full at times, but you'll eventually find one. Overall, you'll find a lot of knick knacks, fruits/vegetables, and a lot of cool items. Things to be aware: 1. Vendors who make racist comments, especially towards the Asian community, things they don't understand. For this, I avoid these vendors. 2. Power tripping parking lot security people. They will detour traffic no reason. Give tickets for cars parked "inappropriately" yet signage is very sparse throughout the lot. 3. Vendors who will "nickel and dime" you. For example, $1 per item, yet an item that has a power cord, will charge you $2. Even when the cord belongs to the item. "Someone put that plug in". So you're telling me that you purposefully take apart items that belong together?!?! Shady!!! I may be just one person, but you've lost a customer. 4. Reckless sanitation crew. They'll "beep beep" you to get out of the way, but have no problem stopping in the middle of the road suddenly to talk to their buddy, blocking walkways and traffic.

Yelp
Awesome classes and best graphic arts teachers bar none! Evening classes are a huge help navigating more than one class

Yelp
5 stars just for the best flower lady at the swap meet. Her stall located right in the corner of edinger and Goldenwest. Only $10 and I got to pick the colors and she arranged the bouquet beautifully, skillfully, and quickly. I will definitely go back if I need another bouquet.

Yelp
Great swap meet in OC. Plenty of food vendors out there. 10 rows to walk through. Restrooms are in the center. Parking is a little challenging but if you don't mind walk, then you can park on north parking lots of the campus.

Yelp
I only come out to swap meet to buy plants; much cheaper than stores depends on what you're buying.

Yelp
This place wasnt as bad as I read from the reviews. Then again, all reviews are simply just anecdotes and you are not supposed to have the same experience as someone else. But to me, this swap meet was amazing Lots of cool and unique finds. Believe me when I say literally everything here is cheap-- books, old items, etc. I got a lot of stuff with only a couple bucks on me. Ill share some awesome deals to prove how amazing prices are: Forget going down to MainPlace mall's crystal/stone shop or Etsy -- there are vendors here who sell these unique gems for very cheap! Im glad to have gotten 2 tumbles for $1 and 2 pendulums for $15. Cant say the crystal sellers from today will be back, but I can say swap meets are where you can get cheap crystals Ditto for jade bangles, if youre into that stuff. Theyre notably cheaper than the $300-1000 ones advertised online -- Ive seen stalls with them for $50 at lowest Though, to make up for the cheap and fun finds, the other most of it is literally junk. I wouldnt trust the clothes vendors put on the BARE ground, nor would I recommend digging your nails into the random piles of bric-a-brac. So weird and unsanitary

Yelp
**January 2022 Visit** I remember coming here with my family back when I was in elementary and middle school, but hadn't been back since (despite living and working very close by). However, one Sunday, I woke up super early and thought I should check it out. Highlights *No entry fee *Parking is ample - I've never had a problem looking for a spot, but I also don't mind parking a tad further *There are probably 100+ vendors so there's something for everyone! *Sample vendors: fabric, tools, pet food, misc groceries, shoes, clothes, etc. Some vendors sell new with tags items whereas others have a more garage sale format. *If you wanted to look through every stall in great detail you probably could spend at least 2 hours *There were some food vendors, but they're spread out and not located in one row. The roasted corn stall is awesome and delicious! *About 1/2 of the vendors and visitors wear masks Tips *Wear good walking shoes as well as a hat/sunglasses (It gets really warm) *Bring a shopping tote/backpack to carry your goodies *Many vendors are Cash only so bring those bills (small bills especially) *Go early, later in the day it gets very hot since it's completely outdoors Summary I think it's a fun way to enjoy an early morning walk and maybe you can find some hidden gems!

Yelp
I was parked my car in the right spot in the weekend, and around ten minutes later I came back to my car. I see a ticket on my windshield. It is Violating parking, I park in the right spot, and there is no signs that is regarded , NO PARKING, OR a FINE. There are a lot of people said that SECURITY MAN have been writing tickets and stick to many car. People asked the Security Man as he responded ' I Don't know. IF THERE ARE SIGNS in every parking lot sections warning; NO PARKING or a Fine, or Regarding to others Rules and Regulations. I'm believing this is harassing, ignorant, and a THIEF to take advantages of people shopping in the this SWAPMEET.

Yelp
If you spend the time to look, you can find stuffs that cost 1/3 of what they sell for in the antique shops. I found several old Pentax and Nikon film SLR cameras, a rotary dial phone, a manual type writer, and a 7-Up bottle crate from the 1960's for my collection. A good place to spend a lazy Sunday.

Yelp
Recently I stopped by Golden West College Swap Meet to check out a specific vendor and I am just not a big fan for this particular swap meet. The swap meet opens on Saturdays & Sundays from 8 AM to 3 PM and parking is free, but I couldn't find a spot to park and I ultimately parked in the same plaza as 7 Leaves Cafe just a block away. Personally I had somewhat of a difficult time navigating through this entire area. You will find some vendors selling random tools and seafood from Baja as well as various services such as bike and cell phone repairs; however, I couldn't find one vendor that actually sells sports accessories and this swap meet was not as organized as Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet and Rose Bowl Flea Market. In fact I had to circle around the entire area two times before I finally found the vendor I was looking for. Lastly, cell phone reception was poor for T-Mobile and the seller actually let me use his smartphone to do the price check in order to assure me that he has the lowest price. Bring cash and be ready to haggle, but don't limit yourself just to this swap meet if you are looking for a better treasure hunt experience.

Yelp
I haven't been in awhile, but went basically to search out for our bikes that were stolen from our complex a few days earlier. I guess the fact that I know this would be a place to look sums up some of how I feel about the event, but it's ok overall. A true swapmeet, so you can't quite guarantee the quality of what you're gonna get, but it's a reliable spot to find some older items, things hard to find, etc.
google avatar

Nikki T.

Yelp
Its a decent swap meet! Fun things to look at as well as purchasing. This swap meet gets packed quick - so come early to find parking and get away from the rising heat/sun! Free entrance to come in vs the other swap meet. I don't understand why people complain how bad this swap meet is. It's literally a swap meet- meaning use/or new things to find on a discount. Your expectations should not be sky high for a place like this.
google avatar

Karen R.

Yelp
This is the best of both worlds. New and used items. I was able to have the batteries replaced on my watches. I found a few old records and had Pho soup.
google avatar

Gary N.

Yelp
A lot of vendors, I would it was more diverse than Kobey Swap Meet in San Diego, with a lot of Vietnamese mixed with Mexican, you can probably find anything from cheap clothings to pretty much everything you want, for my uncle he is into gardening, so buying plants for his collection seems to be the right place here. For the Forth of July and everyone still opens for business, I am amazed, although I heard they just recently opens after 1 year of Covid, glad to be in the right time for some fun shopping
google avatar

Ajay H.

Yelp
I've been here twice on different Saturdays in the past year. Always a vibrant atmosphere and an eclectic group of vendors, staff, and customers. The interactions are always interesting, and it seems like parking is always a bit of a mess. Make sure to come early (by around 9am) to get the freshest live crab and best fruit - the quantities in which the items arrive to this swap meet are quite incredible; SO MUCH junk! I guess one person's trash is another's treasure - that sentiment couldn't be exemplified in a better setting or event that the Goldenwest College Swap Meet! Every weekend morning from 8-3!

Yelp
Lots of textiles, produce, used clothing & pop up stands selling food! Giant (free)parking lot is a huge plus but it still gets full. Do NOT park in the Hobby Lobby parking lot across the street, they'll tow you the second you cross that street. Tacos de Parrillita- carnitas only. $5 burrito, $2.50 taco, $2.50 large glass mexican coke. Amazing tacos and worth the wait if you're shopping here. Random finds; blank skate decks, 2 booths selling blank infant onesies (super hard to find or expensive online!), $15 Kings replica jersey(!), $8 plastic gloves, etc. Be sure to roam all the stands if you have the time. There's a lot of replicated booths of used clothing but also a random hidden find!

Yelp
I go to this swapmeet often. I have gone to other swapmeets in So Cal and Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Sacramento, Fresno, Utah. This is my favorite swapmeet of them all. Some vendors are selling everything they have for $1 per item whether it be a flashlight or old circular saw or old tennis shoes or garden hose or book full of CD's its $1. there are always some great deals to be found when you "Dig" into the boxes full of used items for sale. I regularly buy hand tools-wrenches, coax cable, or a power supply for a old laptop or a phone charger or new tires for an old bicycle, or a new /used bike seat,or some Boganvia or rose plants to plant in my yard. I have bought bungie cords to strap things down in my truck, I have bought makita cordless tools, and Craftsman and Cresent hand tools-wrenches, ratchets, impact gun, drywall screws, and other building supplies, and Batteries for cordless tools like Milwakee, Makita, Dewalt, Dremel, Dell. I have even bought a half a bottle of Mequires car wax for .50 cents, and a polishing/buffing tool $4 and buffing pads 2 for $1 . Which is Sooo much cheaper than having to buy the materials brand new from Autozone or Amazon. Of course the items are previously owned and not in new condition but I see the value that is left in these type of things and I can put them to use. This swapmeet IS like a large garage sale, that sells $1 churros, $1 sodas, roasted peanuts & roasted corn, and lots of tools, and dog toys, and new and used clothing, bikes, jewelry, cell phone cases, plants, rolls of fabric, rugs, furniture, painting supplies, books, cds, dvds, and cd/dvd players, speakers for your car or home, bluetooth speakers, mexican food carts, $1 and $2 snow cones/flavored ice, a flat of strawberry's for a few dollars, apples, oranges, guava, cilantro, garlic, fresh fruits and veggies real cheap, a wheel chair, crutches, inflatable floaties for the pool or the river, old tennis rackets, .50 cents for a can of spray paint, oh yah fishing supplies, poles, line, weights, lures, tackle boxes, baby's clothes, stroller, boogie boards, skate boards-grip tape, bearings, and skateboard wheels and accessories and clothing, skimboard, sprinklers and hose attachments for your garden hose, plant stands and pots and plants in pots, beach chairs, garden tools, rake, shovel, painters tarp, paint supplies- brushes, paint trays, paint , paint thinner, etc,, makeup and manicure tools and DIY artists supplies-wire cutters, beads, and art supplies, outdoor furniture=concrete tables and seating, BBQ. These are all items that can regularly be found at the Golden West swapmeet. I still go to this swapmeet, I was there last weekend, I am not a vendor and I am not related to any of the vendors, I am merely a shopper who has found great deals being sold at the GOLDENWEST COLLEGE SWAPMEET , I have always found a parking space in one of the 3 large parking lots on campus, Be prepared to walk, but that is to be expected if you want to go shopping at a swapmeet, you will have to walk thru the rows of merchandise and then walk back to your car. Safety is handled by Security personel that are clearly available in the center of the swapmeet area and who can be found throughout the rows of merchants if you have a health concern or there is some kind of conflict and the H.B.Police Department often times has 2 or more officers in uniform that can be found walking through the rows of vendors to assist merchants and shoppers if there is a dispute. In the 20+ years I have been going to this swapmeet I have seen one argument get physical when a angry shopper started arguing and fighting with a female vendor. This argument only lasted 20 seconds and had been carried over from an argument that began at a bar the night before. Arguments like that are going to happen, whether it be at the swapmeet or at the grocery store. I still go to the grocery store and I will not be concerned about safety at the GoldenWest College Swapmeet. it is a safe place. There are other swapmeets in orange county , but this one is my fav. There are 2 other well known Swapmeets near by, both are in Costa Mesa, CA. 1) Orange Coast College parking lot is the locaton of a similar style swapmeet with mostly used items for sale, and food vendors. #2) The Orange County Fair Grounds is the location of another swapmeet (*This one is the one that sells BEER, if I am not mistaken) .This swapmeet, i consider to be, the "RETAIL PRICE" swapmeet, where there are mostly New products being sold at "NEW Product" prices by the retail store in the parking lot of the Orange County Fair Grounds parking lot This swapmeet at the Fair grounds is hardly a swapmeet as far as I am concerned, because it is merely the same products sold at retail clothing and department stores being sold at the same retail prices in a tent in a parking lot. I dont see much value in that. But they do sell BEERS and churros which I can appriciate.

Yelp
***ALERT**** There is a senile older gentleman (and I use the term loosely) making insane accusations of theft against perfectly innocent shoppers. His loud rants and accusations from this lunatic can be heard by others and he is lucky that physical violence has been averted so far. Without any proof or evidence , his remarks are unfounded and instead of approaching the situation in a inquisitive , fact finding conversation, he chose to flat out accuse when he didn't witness the supposed crime himself but was relying on hearsay talk from others that were guessing at best who may have been involved. Truth of the matter is those he accused are innocent of any wrong doing . And unless personally witnessing the crime, you cannot make false accusations that could seriously compromise his ability to chew food in a normal manner. Accusations without evidence to back them up are why people get sued and good reason to get knocked out.

Yelp
The swap meet is a great place to spend your Sunday morning and get your steps in. They have a great amount of antiques if you're into that. To work tools, clothings and toys for your little ones. They also sell food, yet I do not recommend stopping at Taqueria Zaragoza. Worse costumer service ,long wait, and super unorganized. The workers kept arguing among themselves in front of the customers.

Yelp
Great for a real morning walk with the excuse to find dirt cheap gems. Especially if you are creative. Its like a big yardsale with a multicultural community. We arrived around 10ish am. with a congested parking lot so arrive early. The actual parking lot and around the major crossed streets you find big lush Eucalyptus trees. That offer shade but bring hats. Big traditional restrooms next to the ATM schools first. Lots of security but its really relaxed family atmosphere. We loved the gardening to fishing gear. Bring cash because vendors do not accept card. I found a yumi matcha latte. Found yumi churros. We ended up walking all over for over four hours just doing a inventory. Few organic local farmers selling produce. I did see Fabric venders with beautiful choices of traditional Mexican cooking kitchen wear. We got a battery for a wrist watch and fixed for $5 cash. Pretty groovy stuff. Love it! Only draw back is people with dogs almost knocked over a lady that was not paying attention. It was all very silly, so that being said, I also saw a father with little toddler on his big crusing beach bike. Just cruising around enjoying a morning big ride with dad. Actually I saw many little kids and big kids. It was busy but not all vendors sell just second-hand but some and if not many new selling goods. No charging fees of no kind. no fees for parking in fact its all free. free parking and free entrance.

Tena H.

Yelp
Maybe I went at a bad time, but this was like a really junky yard sale. Just as I was about to leave, I found the item that I had been looking for, which only seems to be sold at swap meets. Still wasn't worth it.

Enrique C.

Yelp
Free to get in but everything was overpriced. Even things that were dumpy and clearly left out to get dirty and rained on. Not worth it(which is saying a lot because it was free).

Yelp
The Golden West College Swap Meet is an Orange County institution that is a wonderful place to haggle for crap you don't need. Being a huge fan of swap meets and a frequent visitor to as many as I can find, I wavered back and forth over my overall star rating for this shopping Mecca. I ended up going with 4/5 stars as opposed to 5/5 simply because of some of the vendors, more so than most swap meets that I have visited, tend to severely over-value their wares and other vendors really need to be watched if you're buying in bulk. Allow me to explain.... As with most swap meets in the Southern California area, the vendors are predominantly Hispanic, but at this one, a large percentage are also of Asian decent (Westminster is right next door and is home to one of the largest Vietnamese populations in the state). The merchandise carried here isn't just your typical storage unit crap (though there is a lot of that), it is also quite a bit of higher end goods and clothing. There is a large St. John vendor that carries women's suits and sweaters that retail at $1500+, several electronics vendors and cel phone booths, and other speciality booths that you would never see at a typical swap meet. In Vegas, the outdoor swap meet of choice is Broadacres, which offers several off price packaged food vendors. At GoldenWest, there really is only one, and it is known as WilMart, and has a sign that says as much. That booth provides phenomenal values on nearly expired or well expired packaged foods from places like WalMart, Cardenas, and even Trader Joes. Just be cautious of the expiration dates. We picked up some Slim Jim beef sticks that had expired about 10 months earlier. Still edible, but barely. Also, if buying in bulk, be sure to add up the total with the proprietor. We were incorrectly charged a few times and had to remind of the negotiated deal that we had made on a few items. As with all swap meets, it's all about the haggling. Personally, my greatest joy in swap meeting is haggling in broken Spanglish for crap I don't need, and thankfully, the GoldenWest College Swap Meet fits the bill quite nicely. Though the Vegas swap meet (Broadacres) is a MUCH better value, the higher end goods are certainly more plentiful in OC so there are some trade offs when it comes to value. Either way, if you're in OC, it is definitely worth a stop. Enjoy!

Yelp
Great place for shopping would recommend it to anyone who likes good deals. Great weather as well on a Saturday afternoon and good food as well can't wait to come back and get the great deals again.

Yelp
No, this won't be the largest of swap meets you've ever poked and rummaged through in your day, won't therefore be offering the extensive selections, either, that you may have come to expect, but it'll do. And, no, food trucks and concession stands aren't clamoring for your attention here. Instead (and understandably so) they're limited, falling a bit short despite what you may have been crossing your fingers for. But they're there. My point, I guess, is that does one really need at one's disposal 15 shoe vendors offering much of the same selection in order to make a choice? Or could that 15 be whittled down a bit? And exactly how many is too many when it comes to greasy food trucks, each offering much of the same, simple, deep fried delicacies as the others? French fries at swap meets: gourmet, they're not. Maybe the number of food trucks and concessions then needn't be heavy. (Between you and me, though, I've never visited swap meets with an urge to also grab a quick bite.) As well, GWC's swap meet does offer free parking, and if you're willing to park a little further away, finding spots is easy. (Regardless, it's an easy walk no matter where in the lots you park.) And I also feel that since this swap meet isn't as large as some, asking prices are a bit lower, and that's just fine with me too! After all, that's why I am here, for great deals.

Yelp
Love this swampeet only because we take our dog with us everytime ! and right after we stop by the beach and take another long walk ! THE FOOD is also very delicious and vendors are great also , very kind people and most likely I will always walk out with something new

Yelp
Do you like an endless sea of a whole lot of nothing, huge crowds and zero parking? Then you will feel right at home here. As we wondered under the hot sun with a slight breeze tickling our faces and navigating around the constant flow of people, we saw endless tents filled with nothing but the same items over and over again. If you saw five tents, you saw them all. Most were either Cell phone accessories, used clothing and shoes, DVDs/electronics, tools and food. Oh yea and Spinners. You know those once upon a time emotional and instructional support gadgets that everyone is buying now. I must of saw at least 10 different Spinners sellers. Iwanted a Spinner. Most ranged from $2-$8. Sadly, I left empty handed. My highlight was the smell of roasted corn....the Elote man was there. $3.50 for a bowl. Again I said no. There was no way I was going to bring a buttery mess into my car. Anyways, it is exactly what it is....a Swap Meet. People selling their treasures they don't want anymore. Very few new items. Just okay.

Yelp
Goldenwest college swampmeet.. where do I begin? As a resident of Westminster for 13+ years, I truly admire for free swampmeets like GWC's. Rain or shine, the vendors still try and open Saturday-Sundays, no black out dates! (unless theres a major holiday so I'm told). Come around 7am-8am to spot the hidden treasures :) *Parking is free, and definitely limited; I mean the excited whole town comes here on the wknds, you can't expect valet parking now, can ya? Tip: Park at the businesses around i.e the church, Hobby Lobby, or the bank and hope you don't get spotted by the plaza's security.... then stroll your way across the street if you're rly that impatient for a parking spot. *No entrance fees, pets are allowed :"-) Which is always a plus walking my Mochi ensuring his exercise while I'm over here tryna get my stroll along w/ bargain hunting on. Bring a friend, bring your mom bring your auntie or your boyfriend, it's a great adventure leading you to delicious grilled ELOTES with parm cheese mayo and chili stations for like $2.50, lee's coffee for $1.50, and churros and hotdogs for $1. I've seen mango chamoys walking around too, which tempted me but I skipped it just for the sake of... :O) Beyond all the Delicious calorie filled goodies you may find.. I usually like buying socks and sun hats, eyelashes etc, for a reasonable price. There is phone repairing, car accessories, books, bikes, house utilities, lampposts, even a bed warehouse comes out on the weekends, key smiths all over, and a specific perfume unit that is highly secured selling the REAL DEALS which I highlyyy reccomend, the lady selling is a sweetheart. Secondhand Name brands can be found here like MK, LV, GUCCI, etc; the vendors really know how to set a high price to bargain, make sure you have your p o k e r face on & don't break into the deal unless satisfied, if not, just walk away!

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. My husband and I bought a Dewalt finishing nail gun that looked to be new in the box. We got it for half the price of a new one at Home Depot. Took it home and it didn't work. We took it to a tool repair shop and we're told the motor and compressor were both burnt up. It would be $325 to repair the tool that we paid $250 for. We are not happy. We thought we were buying a brand new, working tool. We plan on going back this weekend and taking to the vendor to try and get our money back but I doubt that will happen. I will update this post after speaking to the vendor.

Yelp
Been coming here for many years and like a lot of people say, it's not what it used to be. I used to find lots of decent antiques. Now it's 80% garage sale rejects...junk. I just come for household goods. Don't buy anything electronic unless you can test it. The corn truck serves great esquires and corn on the cob

Yelp
I used to like this swap Meet but it's turned into an outdoor mall. I used to find some real gems, authentic antiques not junk made to look like antiques. It's was like a neighborhood garage sale or rummage sale but that has changed. Almost everything is new and cheaply made, same stuff you find at the dollar store or harbor freight. What happened to the cool swap meets?? There are a couple vendors that have used items but mostly stained ripped clothing, rusty tools and broken items.

Yelp
It's the best I've been to. Nice environment and a ton of vendors. Mostly nice people in a good area. Find lots of treasures

Yelp
I went to this flee market on Sunday in order to buy a beach cruiser. A couple of people sell bikes there and most of them look good (quality is decent) and prices are fair. However, I hit the jackpot. I bought a brand new beach cruiser for only $75 and I´m super happy. I really didn't expect to get such a great deal. Can definitely recommend it.

Yelp
I like the Golden West College Swap Meet a lot more than the one in Costa Mesa. I usually go here for fresh stone crabs. Only three bucks a pound. Free parking and no entry fee.

Yelp
Really nice assortments of all random knick knacks, from rare exotic plants, orchids, pond plants (fragrant lotuses), rose trees, socks, undergarments, clothing, and just about anything you need commonly around the house. The people here are so friendly with awesome personalities. I greatly enjoy the ethnic diversity here. Been visiting Golden West Swap meet since I was a kid, as most people who shop here can also say the same thing about Golden West College in Huntington Beach, a home away from home. The campus itself is well worth the visit with its plants and vines trellising across the buildings, it's truly a sensational, community building, magical experience this college campus has to offer. Nostalgic and truly unique!

Yelp
Going to the Goldenwest College Swap Meet is a fun and cheap activity to do during the weekends. Go with your friends and family since this swap meet is bound to have things that will catch everyone's eye. When I went today with my bf, we were searching for old game boys, and, to our surprise, they had quite a few to offer. They do not only have game vendors, but they also have clothes, furniture, specialty foods, gadgets, and other cool merchandise. There is about the same number of new and used items for sale all together in the Goldenwest parking lot. If you're hungry and looking for food and produce, the fruit and veggies are cheaper than the ones found in the grocery store. They are not too bad either. All in all, the number of items sold is limitless. And don't forget, if the prices of the items do not seem as fair, go ahead and barter for a better deal. Almost all the vendors are willing to hear you out. Make sure to bring a cart if you're a real shopper and water to keep you going. Bring cash as well since they barely, or maybe do not even accept card. There is a single ATM on sight but it charges $3 to withdraw for non Schoolsfirst Union clients. Also, be prepared to deal with the hassle of parking. It took 20+ minutes and a lot of trouble to find a single parking space. The front lot off of Goldenwest is really crazy, jam packed, but avoid that and head to the lot in the back of the school off Gothard.

Yelp
Parking tip : If you can wake up early enough to get here before 8AM, you can find parking on the Goldenwest side (which shares the lot with the swap meet booths). The adjacent lot along Edinger Ave (facing the Nursing Bldg) is next to fill up since its relatively close. If you're like me and struggle to get out of bed *that early on a Saturday* - the Gothard St parking lot fills up last. Just be prepared to walk, since its clear on the other side of campus. Brings lots of small denominations - $1 work best here, $5 is good too. A lot of the vendors will typically give you small dollar change back, so you can make their life somewhat easier by having them avoid breaking a giant bill. The fun thing about the swap meet is that while you'll see your "regular" vendor - sometimes, you'll find a new vendor selling their wares. I don't go often enough to notice much of a difference - I think I've gone about once every few months - if that - but it's a great place to go bargain hunting at. I think most vendors are open to haggling - but be respectful about it, people - what a lot of people don't realize is that these vendors have to rent out a spot from the college every weekend - so it's not like they staked out a spot, parked their van and unloaded their merchandise. My curiosity asked about the details and every weekend - bright and early - a vendor has to wait in line to see if they can snag a spot for their booth that day. Some are turned away due to space. Even worse, the costs of renting a spot is pretty high, so some are forced to deeply discount their goods as the day comes to an end. These people do have to make a living, so don't be overly heartless with your haggling. Cash Only. I'm a bit wary of the few vendors that do take credit cards (through that square app or some other app installed on their phones). If you're low on cash - there is a SchoolsFirst ATM located at the Auto Tech Bldg (next to the 3-story library). Credit Union Members get to withdraw cash for free (If your card has the COOP (triangle) logo, you're good to go).

Yelp
Free. Parking is a biatch from the hours of 10-1pm. The phrase that sums it all up would be "one man junk is another man's treasure." Although, I have been noticing that there are a lot more eclectic mix of vendors. If you are looking for hidden gems, you may find it here but no guarantee. You can find almost anything here but is not limited to: - getting copies of keys made - watch repair - shoes, socks, underwear - household - furniture - food - clothes - books (on saturday is the best selection) - old school and new school dvds, music, consoles, etc - omgawd a lot of other junk and non junk items

Yelp
Okay if you know what you are walking into, THIS IS THE BEST EVER. I like to work hard for everything in life. Maybe I am just a glutton for punishment, but that's neither here nor there. This place is a guaranteed dig for the goodies. This particular swap meet is a sea of useless junk with occasional islands of awesome. I have found some of the best items ever here. I have a vintage pendleton wool cape that I snagged for $10 that is worth over $100! (I won't sell it EVER!) I have found so many gorgeous knick knacks and treasures I can't count. I even bought my first road bike here that was in excellent condition and worth far more than I paid. But beware, now that I have said all the nice things you totally forgot my previous comment "sea of useless junk". Don't forget it! Because it is so true. I will occasionally find nothing or, alas, I won't be in the mood to look (Why did I come then? Good question.) So if you aren't a treasure hunter, this isn't for you. But if a treasure hunter drags you along, go snag some delicious elote (grilled corn + condiments to die for) or grab some ice cream and pick a spot on the grass. OR let your treasure hunting friend show you all the treasures as they find them. TIP: Parking sucks to high heaven after 10AM This is seriously an event for the early riser or someone with the patience of a saint.

Yelp
Some new stuff, some old stuff. Lots of those $1 gadgets stalls. Some food trucks & snack vendors. A few produce & garden stalls too. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/golden-west-college-swap-meet-huntington-beach?select=RD6mVh0imHFS7AWIVBGoGw#HsS-Z8B3LH96MSuu8o3-GQ http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/golden-west-college-swap-meet-huntington-beach?select=RD6mVh0imHFS7AWIVBGoGw#fxPyd7PUyzwaYUqfKRBbMg One thing I did find that was different than most swap meets were fabric stalls. Prices comparable to DTLA's fabric district (some cheaper at $1 a yard). Mostly lighter texture fabrics though. Some fleece. Some booths just had piles of fabric dumped onto the ground and you literally have to get down on your knees to sort through the pieces. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/golden-west-college-swap-meet-huntington-beach?select=RD6mVh0imHFS7AWIVBGoGw#RD6mVh0imHFS7AWIVBGoGw (Tip- Don't do this bent over because these booths are crowded and you'll get bumped from behind and take a header into the pile.) You really have to wander through all the aisles because the "vintage" booths & new item booths are mixed in together. Lots of used clothing stalls with items going for 50 cents-$1. Ewnothankyew. I was excited to see a Mex Express food truck, but couldn't indulge this day. OC Yelpers swear on the goodness of Mex Express. The tables were all filled and everyone's food looked & smelled great. I did pick up a bag of fresh roasted peanuts. Nice & hot right out of the roasters! Other reviewers weren't kidding about the parking situation. We arrived a little after 8am and the lot was already 3/4 full. When we left around 9:30, people were having to slowly cruise up and down hoping to come across someone leaving. I felt a bit bad for the guy who followed us only to find three other waiting cars in our aisle. Not sure if we'll return, but it was an interesting visit. Y'know the old term, "Everything but the kitchen sink!"?. Well, lo and behold.......... http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/golden-west-college-swap-meet-huntington-beach?select=RD6mVh0imHFS7AWIVBGoGw#3l2jeNlZCeQaiOyKzx5p2Q Hahahaha!

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday with my husband to kill two hours before we met my Mom for dinner. Parking is crazy so we parked blocks, blocks away in an industrial area and walked 4-5 blocks. No big deal and beats trying to get in and out of the parking lot. This was our first time and I was looking for iPhone 8 headphones. After asking 3 vendors, I settled on $7 for the headphones. They work perfectly and beats paying $20+ more for the real brand. I love authentic high end luxury brands. There are several fake Louis Vuitton, Tori Burch, Burberry and Gucci vendors. They are fake, look, smell and cost like fake! There is one vendor who sells legitimate authentic high end luxury brands (located in the middle, after 3-4 rows). She had Louis Vuitton purses, wallets and Christian Louboutin heels. Prices are very competitive compared to a consignment shop or on eBay. You can find anything here: phone accessories, Tons of makeup, personal hygiene, food/fruits, some vendors looked like they just pulled up and dumped their truck of stuff onto the ground. You have to dig through the clothes and crap. A lot of cheap, cheap things. Definitely recommend to anyone - free admission and you may find something you like or need.

Yelp
A new friend told me about getting $3.00 watch batteries here. ( I had not been to this place in many years.) Going on Sunday I enter off of Edinger. If you go closer to noon it can be less crowded. MANY CHANGES! Now, sadly, it feels a little more like shopping in a fourth world county. However, there are great BARGAINS. Yes, $3.00 watch batteries (from Japan), band adjustments $4.00. A vendor sells beautiful $2.00 fake rings (3 for $5.00). Some have tables with $1.00 and $2.00 clothing. One guy sells bird supplies, great for feeding the wild birds here.

Yelp
What are we waiting for?? Reopen the Swap Meet and let the people enjoy the fresh air. Look at the check out lines in Costco and Wal-Mart. Which would you rather be standing in? The Open air Swap Meet is much cleaner. Why are we still closed? It makes no sense. The Tier level has dropped in OC and people want to shop. Why should we be forced to shop indoors.
