Wehunt’s Select Burger

When in Rome, get the damn burger. I can't speak to the rest of their menu, but burger and fries are solid. My only suggestion/complaint is the burger sauce, I think it has fish sauce in it, which I'm a fan of, but usually when its cooked and mellows out the fish taste/smell. I'll let the chef respond or decide what to do with that. Great little place that over delivers on what they do.....get the burger.......you won't be dissapointed.

We finally got out to Wehunt's and are very glad we did! I'm sad that they have had some struggles with staffing because the food was actually quite delicious. They weren't busy at all (boo! Everybody go out and support this awesome place!) but that was good for us as there was no wait and we were seated right away. Right out of the gate - the only negatives were that the food itself did take longer than it should have/would have if they were fully staffed but it was WELL worth the wait; the second negative was the coke products being canned. This is just a personal pet peeve, but it didn't really detract from our overall experience. These burgers are fantastic. The meat tastes high quality, everything was well seasoned, they are a perfect size, and the burger was well-constructed so you could eat it without either burger or toppings sliding off the bun. The BUNS! Simple sesame seed buns, but they were PERFECTLY toasted, fresh, and a top-notch vessel to deliver the burger-y goodness on. It's disappointing how many burger places get the bun wrong, but Wehunt's hit that out of the park. We had both plain fries and the pomme frites (fries with herbs and parmesan cheese), and both were delicious. You could tell the fries were freshly made and not frozen. We will absolutely be back as this is the first time my husband has been in the clean plate club in a LONG time!

This is based solely on the Portobello Stuffed Mushroom. The mushroom tasted fine. We understand times are hard, but $10 for this mushroom was unacceptable. To be fair, the owner did offer a refund, so this is for visibility so you can know what to/not to expect. The pictures should speak for themselves. **Update: We were never refunded for this item.

We tried this place for the first time since moving to the area a few months ago. It was amazing! The parking lot is a little hard to get in and out of, but the food was delicious. My husband and I had their chicken sandwiches and they included fries and a drink. Definitely try this place if you are looking for something better than the golden arches around the corner.

We had the Plain Jane burger at lunch, which comes with one can of a Coke product and fries for $10. According to the server, the burgers are cooked Medium Well but mine was a bit pink. The fries are seasoned nicely and crispy. I thought the use of cloth napkins was odd, especially with a juicy burger and fries, but overall it was a good lunch. I hope they add more burger options in the future (like blue cheese, bacon and jalapeño.)

Stopped here for lunch with my daughter on the way back from Big Canoe last weekend. She got a bacon cheeseburger / no frills and I got one all the way. They call these "Select" here. Mine was really good, but really messy. I really liked that it crunched when I took a bite and it was very tasty. The fries were excellent: hot, crispy, and not greasy out of the fryer. It was a little strange that we had real silverware and burgers on a tray, but it was a good combination, I thought. The ambiance was one of comfort and welcome; and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Brought a burger and fries home to my wife and she thought it was good, too. I'll definitely be going back someday soon.

We’ve eaten here a couple times and the food is amazing. We’ve tried the burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, and fries and they’re all great. This place is a hidden gem! Highly recommended.

Chef Wehunt and crew really truly understand flavor and experience! From the moment you walk in you just know it's gonna be great! We started with some appetizers, Korean Fried Chicken wings and the Whipped Ricotta, instantly I was blown away with the layers of flavor and textured crispy perfection in the KFC wings, and following it with the beautiful melty and decadent flavors of the Ricotta as a beautiful pallet cleanse. For the Main course we tried the Mojo Pork sandwich, Chicken Piccata and the GOOD Morning Burger (with fries of course)! I couldn't believe we got such amazing fine dining experience in flavor and dish composition! Everything is IN HOUSE and FRESH INGREDIENTS, so for the price, why would you go anywhere else!? I am sold on Wehunt's! If you are looking to support a local business and have an unbelievable culinary experience, look no further, this is the place to go!

This was our second visit to Wehunts. The food is the best in the area (including the new City Center) best burger/sandwichs and fries around. Everything is fresh and house made all the way down to the rolls. Service was prompt and preppy. We had the special burger, the BBQ and burger and the ranch chicken sandwichs. All were a homerun and can't beat the lunch special pricing! So much more affordable and better quality than what we've eaten at the CCC.

Delicious burger and fries. The wings are great too! A little on the pricey side but the quality really makes it worth it! I'll pay a little more for good quality and service with any dining experience.

Food was served with a smile and good customer service! Meat comes from Wilkes, down the plaza, arguably the best meat market in the area. Salad was well appointed with harmonious ingredients and a delightful Garlic Vinaigrette. Burgers were "melt in your mouth," bacon was well smoked and paired with the over easy egg, a treat at any time of day! Private parking lot is free, you can shop across the street at Publix! Ambience is relaxing with a refreshing minimalist decor that adds to the dining experience. It's a little off the beaten path, Unless you're staying at Lake Lanier, either way definitely worth the trip! (With held one star for improvements - coffee worthy desserts are offered, crème brûlée and key lime pie, but sadly no coffee available.)

There is a new small burger joint in the neighborhood. Next to the butcher shop. Fresh interior. Service was slow due to one server on Thursday night and many tables. Many items were 69 from the menu. The burger was good.

Highest quality burger around! You will want to eat yourself into a coma, and might actually have to be careful not to. Things to be aware of: Everything (except the ketchup and mayo) is made from scratch down to the buns and pickles, and the meat is from the butcher next door. It's not currently specified on the menu but all burgers are priced as a double and you must ask if you only want a single patty. Closed between 3pm-5pm And closed Sunday & Monday There's proper desert.

Wow! This place is amazing! The atmosphere feels upscale, but the menu is very reasonably priced for all the effort that goes into it. The music isn't that good- it sounds like elevator music- but they won't lose any points for that. The waitress was sweet and informative, answering any questions we had about the menu. As the food came out, all we could say was "wow!" We shared the garlic ricotta- it was good, and the toast was deliciously crisp. The pomme frites were amazing, and they can serve around 3-4 people. The mac and cheese side was good, but it's not a must have. We got the GOOD MORNING burger, the Select Burger, and the side caesar. The side caesar was forgettable, but the stars of the show were definitely the absolutely DELICIOUS burgers. Nearly everything on the menu is handmade, including the burger buns. The select burger was a classic, but I feel like I didn't really taste special sauce on it. The good morning burger was absolutely stellar- so much so that my partner kept raving about how delicious it was (and even got an extra one to-go). Finally- the desserts! We got the key lime pie and the brownie. The key lime pie was great- and was the prettiest key lime pie I've ever been served. However- the brownie is really where it's at. That thing is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! You must try Wehunts if you're in the area!

Fried chicken sandwich is good and their fries are very good. I did a take out order and got home and my food was completely wrong. I called and they seemed not to care too much, however the food is good. Wings are also pretty big and definitely crunchy

Excellent food and great environment. This small town, family owned restaurant will be a regular stop for our family.

First visit to Wehunts and won't be our last.. although a little pricey you definitely get a lot of food and won't leave hungry.

Ate here for the first time today and it was a great experience! They were running a special for dine in where you could get a cheeseburger fries and a drink for 9.99 which is a very good deal compared to the prices at most other lunch places nowadays. It was wonderful! They get all the meat from Wilks meat market next-door, and make everything in house. The fresh cut fries were especially fantastic! Really nice ambience inside and extremely clean. The service was great as well! This place is a significant improvement over Burger stop which was what this place used to be. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Delicious kfc. Mac and cheese was good too. Wish we lived close enough to come again.

The Select Burger at Wehunt's Select Burger is easily one of the best in Forsyth County. The ingredients are top-notch, and it's always cooked to perfection. The K.F.C. wings (Korean Fried Chicken wings) are the best and most perfectly fried chicken wings in all of Forsyth County, and when you drizzle the gochujang over the wing and follow with a bite of daikon radish, it's the perfect combination. If you haven't been to Wehunt's Select Burger, you need to get there and try some of the best food in the area.
