Wei Mai Xian 味美香

Very authentic fuzhounese food! The pork bun is huge and full of stuffing, a bit too oily and salty for my liking, but still very good. I really liked their fujianese wonton soup. The wontons were plump and tasted just the way I remembered in my childhood (make sure to add some vinegar to the soup). 😋 Their dine-in space is a bit limited. But most people buy and take it home to cook/eat anyways. Just a heads up, the family that operates the restaurant can be a bit unresponsive and rude. So don’t get offended…

Got the rice flake soup and a pan fried bao. The soup broth was still clear and had a decent amount of veggies/dried shrimp. :) the bao was good. Got a noodle soup to go.

In three years of coming here, I've had nothing but good cheap food. The service is of the usual brusque type I expect from a Chinese food counter. The service people are there to take an order and fill it, nothing more. I am of mixed race and alert to any attitude, but have felt none.

The Xiaolongbao here is actually just a smaller version of the traditional Bao, not the soup dumplings. That being said, it’s still one of the best tasting baos around. I come here and buy the bao in bulk. They freeze/store well and easy to microwave straight out the freezer. This is not designed to be a sit down place, designed for take out and grabbing something quick.

I am in 100% agreement with the Xiaolongbao review by Wei. It is not the Shanghainese style, but they are still super tasty and cute.

Love this spot. Everything I’ve had is tasty , the baos might be a bit untraditional but they’re soooo good and are clearly made fresh regularly. Ignore the haters and get ya self a fire snack for mad cheap

Buns are made with machines and absolutely disgusting. The service and attitude of the lady in the front is also not good.

Have tables for dine-in. Food is cheap and has good portions. Had wonton soap with 2 orders of peanut noodle ($10 total).
