We stopped for a wine tasting then enjoyed a late lunch. Both were excellent.

We recently celebrated a fantastic wedding at Am Nil, and it was an unforgettable experience! The beautiful setting, exceptional Portuguese food, excellent wines, and warm hospitality made the day truly special. Every detail, from the ambiance to the service, was perfect, and our guests were full of praise. Thanks to Mrs. Borges and purple lions team for making this important day so memorable!

We have been here in September for a second time. This time we were lucky to get a room although I asked for a room reservation already in February, but they have only few rooms. So, plan very much ahead if you want to get here. ||The rooms are very spacious and are well equipped - comfortable bed, nice bath room - and have a romantic charm. Cleanliness is excellent. Downside - the elevator is not for the public and one must use the stairs (rooms we used were on 2nd floor). ||The breakfeast is excellent and offers everything one may want - just ask for it and you will certainly get it. The food in the restaurant is tapas style with international food - brilliant: must try the sate with luke warm glass noodle salad with a glass of their riesling. Dishes may be simple, but are very good overall.||The service is very friendly and helpful. We were offered a wine tasting when we arrived and were even seeing the wine cellar for a short visit with some explanation of their wine production. ||The place is also a well positioned to go for some walks in the area and to visit near by Freinsheim - very well maintained old town with good restaurants as well.

I've visited a few of the area vinotheks and Weingut am Nil is by far the best that I've found. Good service, great food and exceptional venue. Excellent place to enjoy a meal or simply partake in the excellent wines on the patio if the weather is kind.
