"This bistro, too, is definitely worth a visit. The second dining option in the Weinhaus Uhle hotel is a wine shop and appealing restaurant that is open all day long. Seated at bare wooden tables in an attractive space, you are served dishes such as "Der Gemüsegarten" (The Vegetable Garden), "Der Uhlsche Klops" (dumpling filled with veal) or Müritz zander. Chef Marcel Kube and his team use regional ingredients wherever possible. There is also a decent wine list. In summer, tables are set up on the street out front." - Michelin Inspector

Wonderful dinner at 1751 Weinhaus Uhle in Schwerin. The ambiance was great with live piano and the dining room is decorated with great traditional taste, especially the painted ceiling. We selected the five-course menu and each dish was as much a delight to the eyes as it was to our taste buds. Deserves a 5-star rating, and we are wondering why it does not have a Michelin star yet. Congrats to the Chef and his team.

Top notch hotel in an ideal location in Schwerin. Rooms are well decorated and spacious, with comfortable beds. Would happily stay again. Service was excellent. Dinner at Weinbistro George, in the hotel, made for a great evening.

We recently dined at this Michelin-starred restaurant, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a personalized menu bearing our name, such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. Every course was a journey of creativity and flavor, each dish distinct and beautifully presented. The wine pairings were masterfully chosen, elevating the flavors of the food to perfection. Beyond the incredible cuisine, the atmosphere was warm and unique, with stunning decor and a team that made us feel truly special. The owner was particularly kind and attentive, and the staff’s passion for what they do shone through every detail. An unforgettable dining experience in every way😍

Historically unique hotel with delightful gourmet restaurant in the heart of the old city of Schwerin. Incredibly friendly staff and good energy galore. Highly recommended.

Had the pleasure of dining at the Weinbistro George at the Weinhaus Uhle after a long journey. The bistro itself is an elegant mix of the old world and new - with a lot of exposed wood and elegant lighting. It's perfect for a quiet night by yourself or even a casual date. The service is warm and friendly with a smile. The staff is well equipped to answer any questions you may have of their expertly curated, fantastic wine list. The food is simple but exceptionally put together. It captures classic German cuisine with a modern touch and hits the spot! The standout for me was their stellar wine list - it's very well curated and fits anyone's pallet. Overall, an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling this way ✨

For us the „Go to Place“ in Schwerin. Warm welcome, great staff and the rooms are all a bit different from each other in special in their own way. Besides that the rooms are well equiped, clean and very quiet. We love it! Tasty breakfast, great atmosphere. Located perfectly to explore Schwerin on foot. See you soon :)

This is a very nice hotel. I have stayed here twice and it is great. Food is wonderful, the staff are very nice, and the wine selection alone is worth a visit! Right in the city center in beautiful Schwerin! Highly recommend it!

Yelp
Bistro restaurant in Hotel Uhle Lovely ambience at the restaurant in the Weinhotel Uhle with the doors open on a beautiful breezy evening. Very nice and comfortable. Be aware there are two- The Bistro is the only choice on weeknights. I had been looking forward to a special dinner and great wine- it was highly anticipated. Sadly, the overall dining experience was a disappointment. The young waitress was a bit shy, couldn't speak very good German or English, and couldn't explain the menu to us. When asked about the South African wines which we were considering, she said she didn't know anything about them. Shrugged her shoulders. (Nor did she get anyone to help). At 60€ per bottle, in a " Weinhaus", we expected more. The oysters were great, and at twice the normal market price, they should have been!. But that's where the delight stopped. The baked fish with asparagus in tarragon mustard sauce that my husband had was very very salty, and heavy handed with the tarragon. ( and we both love tarragon!). The white asparagus dish that I ordered had a " coffee vinaigrette" that didn't complement the dish- again, extremely salty. Not very good. The bread basket with 6 small slices was about 6€. That was good. When asked how we enjoyed the food I said it was just ok. Clearly I signaled we weren't impressed. She was unmoved and cleared the dishes and asked us if we desired dessert. Her lack of concern or attentiveness was disappointing for a meal which cost in excess of 150€. ( we bought the bottle of wine in spite of her attitude). By the way, the wine list was sparse for a "Weinhaus", with just a couple German, Spanish and Italian bottles. The South African wines had the broadest selections. Our choice was wonderful, tho. I cannot recommend this Bistro due to the disappointing food, and more so because of the poor communication at point of service.
