Nestled in Walthamstow, this charming bakery entices with its mouthwatering pastries, excellent coffee, and warm service—a must-visit for baked goods lovers!
"Ignore the name of this bakery in Walthamstow. There isn’t anything weird going on. It’s a corridor of a space, bookended by the front door and a big fridge at the back that’s packed with those fancy glass-bottled fizzy juices, and this place serves really, really great pastries. The croissants have a rare glossy glaze with a physics-defying lightness and the cinnamon bun is the closest we’ve come to filling the knot-shaped hole in our hearts left by the buns we tried in Scandinavia. Like many of London’s prime pastry spots, there’s minimal seating and the best things here tend to sell out early, so join the legion of in-the-know locals for a sleepy flat white and a rise-and-shine treat. If it’s on, get the chocolate suisse—it’s a bigger, better take on a classic pain au chocolat that may, or may not, be the reason you keep seeing us in this part of Walthamstow. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Heidi Lauth Beasley
