"A restaurant equally great for family dinners and banquets, Chien Wei Seafood boasts exceptional service and has private rooms in varying sizes. Perfumed by rice wine and ginger, female mud crabs in sesame oil are braised with assorted mushrooms; while live shrimps doubanyaki with Chinese herbs are prepared tableside. If your party is large enough, then order rice vermicelli soup with pomfret and garlic sprouts to share." - Michelin Inspector

Wei's Fish

Google
Many of my Taiwanese friends recommended it to me. This Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili is becoming increasingly popular. It has a scallion and tomato flavor but is not spicy. I personally don’t think it’s anything special. The fish slices are very soft and the soup is a bit sour because the pickled cabbage, good to eaten with white rice. Service is fast and friendly , but table so small and tiny . Price is very reasonable, 2 people $38 , one appetizer - deep fried chicken , 2 drink , one pot of fish .

I got the beef spicy mix and it was really delicious! Spicy and fragrant and very well seasoned. Really nice assortment of ingredients, and everything was well cooked. The unlimited rice was a nice touch too, even tho I didn’t need it. Good price for the amount of food and I had enough leftover for lunch the next day.

First time trying this place in the area and it did not disappoint! You can order via QR code and input your additions to the fish stew you want. The portion was very large and enough for 2 and the flavour was delicious.

We arrived for an early dinner at 5:45 PM with easy seating and parking available. Was seated quickly and ordered via QR code. We ordered the Large Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish ($27), which came quickly and was piping hot. Fish was tender, vegetables and other ingredients cooked well, very flavorful. They have varying levels of spice for different palates, but the single chili pepper soup was just right for us. Pretty reasonable price for two people in the Bay Area. Would recommend!

Drove by this many times but first time to try. Very tasty. Portion was just right. Service was fast. Ordering is easy. Would go back and try the non spicy items.

As I drove up to the store on a weekday at 1:30pm, I wondered if I could ever find a parking spot in such a small strip mall which hosted 3-4 stores. It turned out exactly as I had predicted. After 3 rounds of circling around without any success, I opted for street parking in the residential area which was only 5 minutes of walking away. Maybe because it was off hours, the store was not crowded at all. I was promptly seated at a small table for one. The store looked neat and clean with cute decorations and logos of 2 fishes kissing each other. You could immediately tell fish dishes were the main focus of this store. The server quickly served me water and took my order. Normally you can order by scanning a QR code on the table, but the system was down today. After much debating, I chose the scallion sauerkraut fish soup, size small, with enoki mushrooms and lotus root slices as my complimentary side dishes. I didn't have to wait long when my order arrived, steaming hot with a cute bowl of white rice. The fish was so fresh and tasty!! I found the soup a bit oily to my taste but delicious regardless. All the ingredients were well cooked and complemented one another. The portion was generous. I couldn't finish all and had to have it to go. The store now allowed you to pack your rice as well. My overall bill is around $22 which is reasonable for lunch around Bay Area nowadays. Overall, I enjoyed my chosen dish and would come back with a big group so I might try out their different dishes and desert.

Food is okay but their package for to-go is terrible. I ordered two bowls to-go and they packed them into a single bag that has doesn’t hold those two bowls very well. This is what happened when I got home: the top bowl got tilted during transition and all the sauce spit out because of the way they packed it.

I would definitely try to get out of going to this place again. The food comes out cold and it is very not spicy, even the items marked with three chili peppers. There is not much flavor compared to the similar restaurants on Stevens Creek and De Anza, but I don't think I can name drop here. They had a lemon flavored fish soup that I wanted to try because it is very classic but unfortunately they were out. I do not recommend the tomato fish soup because boiled tomatoes have a sourness that ruins everything; ie: even the best of beef noodle soups! Most of the items are fish soup so there is no point of doing family style. There is a chili beef dish for variety.. However, we waited abnormally long for it, so long that the most patient people in our group were getting antsy. Eventually we had to tell them that they plumb forgot about our last dish. The duck blood is fine but very expensive for what it is and the portion was small, the typical size of what you would find at skewer places. The service is okay; no qualms here. They were efficient and even refilled our waters once. They also tried to help us figure out what was missing in our order. But this is not the type of restaurant where they ask how is the food, etc.

Yelp
We grabbed dinner on a busy Wednesday evening. Luckily, we were a small party and were seated immediately. It was my first time, but I knew that I had to order something more mild, so I settled for the tomato flavored fish soup. I liked how we can customize the soup with two additional side add-ons. I got the yuba (tofu bean curd skin) and regular tofu. The soup came out steaming hot and fresh. The broth was rich and flavorful, especially for a tomato-based soup. The fish was fresh and everything was really TASTY. I got the small soup, and even I had trouble finishing it all. It makes for a great take-home meal! I would come back again.

Yelp
Wei's fish is my go-to chinese comfort food when I want some soup! They have many soups to choose from but I would recommend the Old Pot Sauekraut one as that is my favorite! I usually add the sweet potato glass noodles, tofu, wood ear mushroom, and the yuba. Last time I got the Green Sichuan Pepper and that was too much mala flavor for me and I had a difficult time eating it to be honest. If you like the mala flavor than this would be the soup you should get! 4/5

Yelp
It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it! This comfort food really hit the spot! There were many soup options to choose from, and luckily I went with a big group so I could try multiple broths. I ended up with a small Scallion Sauerkraut Fish Soup. Each soup option comes with complimentary side dishes that go in your dish. If you get a small, you get two. If you get a large, you get 4. The options are fresh yuba, enoki mushroom, baby cabbage, tofu, sliced celtuce, black fungus, sweet potato glass noodles, and lotus root slices. Personally, I like cabbage and soft tofu. It was perfect for my soup.  The portions are huge, so that I had enough leftovers for the next day. I think getting a large for two people would be perfect, especially since they offer free refills on rice. I only had one bowl of rice and I was stuffed.  Other broths that I tried and liked: Duck Blood in Chili Sauce -- very spicy but it was so flavorful. Love the weird meats that came with it.  Tomato Flavor Fish -- very tomato-y. I did enjoy it, but still prefer the Scallion over it.  For the size and the pricing, I think it's such an affordable comfort meal. I can't wait to come back and try other flavors (or just stick with what I like).  Parking is easy, as they have their own lot.

Yelp
I really like this hot pot-style fish soup! They offer two fish options: basa or snakehead. The snakehead fish is $2 extra per portion, but it tastes better. I ordered the fruit-infusion lemon flavor fish soup -- non-spicy, slightly sour from the lemon, and really delicious!

Yelp
First time trying this spot after my friends recommended and had a pretty good dining experience here. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking so its very accessible. We ended up going 20min before they close and they gave us about 5min to order before their last order time. The staff were efficient but since it was close to closing time I think they weren't super attentive and asked my group of 4 people to share a table with another group despite there having other open tables. The store was pretty clean with very simple setup. There were a handful of fish stew options and I ended up getting the Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup. I got the small size and it was already plenty of food. I also got the regular fish instead of the snakehead fish and enjoyed that. The snakehead fish is softer but I didn't feel there was a drastic enough difference and was happy with the regular fish. I really enjoyed the fact that you can get complimentary sides for the stews and ended up choosing yuba and lotus. I go to try my friend's sweet potato glass noodle and also really enjoyed that. Overall I really enjoyed the dishes and would want to try other fish stews next time!

Yelp
Delicious, healthy comfort food! Amazing prices, I had the small old pot sauerkraut fish soup ($17) which came with white rice was enough to split with another person. You can also choose two additional toppings for the soup, included. We did cabbage and celtuce and I especially enjoyed the latter. Food came out pretty quickly and the fried chicken the tables near us were ordering also smelled really good. Restaurant theme is really fun, lots of orange and cartoon fish decor everywhere :) Most definitely will be back

Yelp
Came here after having this bookmarked for months and I def was very happy eating here! I got the large green sichuan soup with basa fish, lotus root, sweet potato noodle, and two other items I don't really remember tbh. My mom and I got a large one to share and tbh it def was a hefty amount for us, we had tons of leftover to bring back home and eat afterwards. I really enjoyed the numbingness of the sichuan peppercorn and getting a plum juice helps a lot. Ordering here is very quick, scan the QR code and the service is just as quick! I don't think they do unlimited rice anymore as they just gave us two bowls of rice and didn't say anything but it was fine for us. I def think this is worth the try!

Yelp
I've seen this restaurant pop up on my uber eats feed so I decided to try in dining. These are fish stews with 2 fish options: basa or snakehead. Both are thinly sliced and delicious with many soup broth and variations of veggies, We ordered 2 dishes that were 2 pepper signs and they were not too spicy at all. We all ordered 1 non spicy soup. We ordered one pot snakehead and a green peppercorn with snakehead. Both were delicious but I think I lean towards the green peppercorn soup. You can pick sides that are included in the soups. I particularly liked the sweet potato noodle -- nice and chewy. Overall a great place to have fish and so healthy too! You order the food over the QR code and the dishes were ready very promptly.

Yelp
Saw a tiktok that there was a spot in San Mateo and they opened one in Santa Clara! Was really excited to try this and came on a saturday night. Only waited 10 mins for a table for two. The menu was a little hard to read but the waitress was kind enough to explain it to us and order for us. You usually have to order on the phone with the QR code on the table. The place was clean and big, feels like a chinese restaurant. The food came out pretty fast and packed with flavor! Each pot also come with 1 bowl of rice which is nice. I will say that the portion of the pots are deceiving as the bowls isn't really that big. Two regular bowls was just enough for two people with not much leftovers. Overall, I will be back! The food and the service is great overall!

Yelp
We ordered to-go, but I definitely will be wanting to try and dine in at this place. I honestly was not sure what I was getting myself into to - I tried this place because I was my brother, who has experience in this type of dish. For beginners like me, definitely select the Basa Fish! (Although I am curious if the snakehead option is literally a snakehead). I am not huge on spicy flavors, so I was a fan of the Royal Tomato Fish flavor! We initially wanted to try the new Scallion Sauerkraut Fish Soup, but alas it was sold out. Will definitely be trying that next! Service was great, they were very friendly and the English was pretty fluent. The to-go container and the package is in is also top notch! Will be back soon!

Yelp
This is the spicy that I really like. My preference is not the sour cabbage. They used to have one that didn't include it with the fish but no longer have it anymore. The fish is nice and soft, the food comes out hot and spicy. You get all you can eat rice while you're there to tame the spice if your stomach is a little more sensitive. Overall the servers are attentive and the place is clean. The food is also tasty so would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Really enjoyed dining at Fish With You in Cupertino! Their 热炝酸菜鱼 is absolutely amazing -- hands down the most authentic flavor I've had since being in China. The broth is rich and tangy, with that perfect balance of sour and spicy, and the fish is super tender and fresh. It tastes just like the real thing back home. The restaurant is also conveniently located near where I live, Saratoga, so it's definitely become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic Sichuan-style fish dishes!

Yelp
I tried this chain's San Diego location and absolutely fell in love with it and now that I'm home, I brought my boyfriend and brother to try it out. Still amazing flavor, with the perfect tanginess to pair with the rice. I usually get the Large Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup (snakehead) to share with a total of two people. It comes with unlimited rice as long as you finish it. The portion size is huge and definitely worth it. Definitely coming back if I'm craving something spicy and tangy.

Yelp
Been here a couple times over the past couple of months and I am never disappointed by Wei'd Fish! Came here on a Saturday at 11 AM as a group of 5. We were seated right away with no wait, but there seemed to be a wait by the time we left around noon, so I would recommend coming early especially on busy weekends! ~The Food~ I believe the menu mentions that the small size is good for 1, and large is good for 2. I think the portions are pretty generous so I think it was sizing was pretty accurate! We ordered 2 Large size bowls between 5 folks to share family style and I think we all left pretty satisfied! - Large Green Szechuan Peppercorn Suancai & Fish: My favorite flavor there! This dish has a very strong malt numbing taste to it, which I personally love! We chose the lower price Basa Fish option, and we really enjoyed it! The fish is cooked super tender, goes really well with the soup. For our add-ins, we chose woodier mushrooms, Yuba (tofu skin), enoki, and celtuce! - Large Tangy Lemon Fish: This was our first time trying it and we actually really enjoyed this one! The lemon taste was definitely present but it wasn't too sour or overpowering and I think it added a nice overall flavor that paired well with the fish. - Golden buns (6 pieces): Pretty good! Nothing special, but you can really never go wrong with fried buns with condensed milk :) ~Pricing~ Super reasonable pricing imo! The portions are generous and I personally thought that this was the perfect amount for 5 people! ~Parking~ They do have a parking lot, but it can be a little limited when the restaurant is busy. However, there is a different complex parking lot right across the street!

Yelp
Popular Chinese chain restaurant specialized in 酸菜鱼(boiled fish with picked cabbage). Their parking is very limited so expect to park on the street during busy hours. The price is reasonable n you can add two sides to some of them. Their food is salty side with salt/msg (as they advertise you can eat a lot of rice). the portion looks big in pic but the dish is shallow. I wished there were more fish. Their signature 酸菜鱼 is very spicy but you can ask for less spicy. We asked for 小辣 little spicy but the pic has no spicy.. Tomato one is also flavorful and sweet if you don't like spicy. Overall good place to have 酸菜鱼 for good price especially if you eat a lot of rice, but not for every day meal as it is high in sodium.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. The orange and white sign caught my attention when driving by on deanza. I looked them up on Yelp and saw great reviews. My friend and I decided to give it a try this week. We arrived shortly after opening. We were seated and ordered: Sauerkraut fish soup: 5/5 loved the sour broth. The fish with skin was not fishy at all. We added celttuce and Enochi. It comes with a side of rice. Beef tender spicy mix: 4/5 shabu beef meat, ramen noodles and other veggies mixed in a mala sauce. This is a dry dish. It was tasty but I prefer the soup. The photos are deceiving in size. Their bowls are super shallow. Looking forward to coming back again.

Yelp
Parking lot right outside, very empty and no wait at the restaurant if you get there around 11. Service was fast and the menu is filled with yummy options. I don't love any of their sides like the sausage or the fried buns - they're just ok - but their soups are sooo good. Tried the lemon one this time and the way that the tangy soup pairs with the rice is amazing. Their other sauerkraut options with spice are great too! I love having celtuce as an option for add ins, and yuba and woodear! This is the same franchise as "Fish with You" in San Mateo. Their menus are the same. It gets quite busy around 12:30, and the tables filled up fast as we ate.

Yelp
Food 4.5/5 I got the classic aromatic szuchuan fish and chose mild spicy with less oil. It was honestly perfect. The right amount of spicy and the fish was very tender. The soup/broth was the perfect match with white rice, which is complimentary with the fish. Service 5/5 Servers here are very attentive and polite. Makes the dining experience much more enjoyable. Ambiance 4.5/5 Overall, my friend and I really like the orange and white themed background for the restaurant. Lots of tables and definitely an option if you're looking for something fast and tasty.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I've never had this type of fish soup... so I was very curious. My partner and I shared a Small Fish Soup Valued Combo (~$28). It comes with a choice of 1-3 small soups, a bowl of rice, a choice of side, and a drink. It was a LOT of food... and we left feeling very satisfied. Of the combo options, we went for the Old Style Pickled Fish, fried chicken for our side, and red guava for our drink. You're given a menu to browse but place your order via QR code. All of this plus an extra bowl of rice made for a great meal. The food doesn't take long to come out and the soup was very flavorful. Definitely hits the spot when it's cold out!! I'm very excited to try out their other soup flavors. Other notes: Some reviewers have mentioned the restaurant not allowing to take their rice home. My partner and I had about half a bowl of rice left, and we were able to take it home. It seems either the rules have changed, or they only apply to extra servings beyond the initial portion. The restaurant was clean and the service was standard and prompt. There's parking at the premises, but it quickly fills up at dinner time, especially during the weekend. Some street parking is available.

Yelp
My mom and I tried to come here before a few months ago, but the line to get in was absolutely impossible--and for good reason! We tried again yesterday as it was a Monday around noon. We were able to get seated with no problems! You order on your phone, and we both ordered the sauerkraut fish soups. My mom got hers spicy, which for some reason didn't let her choose her toppings. I got mine non-spicy, with lotus root and sweet potato noodles. The food was delicious, and there was enough to take home as well. All soups come with complementary bowls of rice. The restaurant itself is very clean looking and the staff are nice, quick, and attentive. The meal came out to about $45 after tip.

Yelp
Food is actually quite good. Portion is reasonable for the price in South Bay. Service is pretty good as well. The place is clean and bright which is quite refreshing for a Chinese restaurant. What I do find a bit weird is their policy on no white rice allowed for take out. The reason given was that it's wasteful. I believe this could have been an issue when they had unlimited rice but now that they don't have that (now they have 1 free bowl of rice for small pot of fish and 2 bowls of rice for large pot and $1.99 per bowl after that) I'm not sure why customer should not be able to take the rice home. I recommend the owner reconsider this policy.

Yelp
If you're coming here, you're coming for the fish. This isn't a fancy restaurant by any means, but it does one thing and it does it well. Came here with coworkers a few days ago for the first time, and I had forgotten how satisfying a specialized restaurant could be. I ordered what this place is supposed to be best for: the spicy and sauerkraut fish. The soup was perfectly seasoned, the fish was fresh, and the portions were sizable; not much else to ask for. The service is just as basic: you order, they bring you food, that's all. This place is very much like the Uber driver who picks you up and drives you quickly to your destination without a word. 5 stars.

Yelp
So yummy!! I love this dish and when my friend took me here I had a great time. Service is very quick, we sit down and immediately order thru QR code. There's only a few variations of just this fish dish so very simple menu. Everyone gets a free bowl of rice w the order which is nice because most places charge for every bowl of rice. The fish was flavorful, loved being able to add free toppings -- got enoki mushroom, tofu skin, and tofu. Nice hearty meal especially for a cold day!
google avatar

Yelp
Lowering my rating given their food quality is consistent but the timing of food isn't always super consistent. Have been back a few times now, it seems they may prioritize takeout over dine in orders would advise to come at a lull and not during peak hours. Otherwise good food and ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
This was one of the best places to get Chinese sauerkraut fish. The ambiance was nice and the service was okay. It's a very authentic Chinese restaurant to eat at and the wait wasn't too long. The serving sizes are definitely shareable even the small portion. We got the duck blood dish and the sauerkraut fish dish. The duck blood dish was so delicious and it had noodle, intestines, and spam. It was spicy and the flavors were spicy. The sauerkraut fish dish was also delicious. The soil was sour and savory. It was great with rice. You can have unlimited rice there but must pay a fee if you don't finish your rice.
google avatar

Yelp
I loved the flavors of their soups and the fish was so tender and delicious. However, I didn't enjoy the puff ball dessert very much because it didn't have much flavor and the cream filling inside wasn't very tasty.

Yelp
If you love chinese fish soup, this is the place to go. Wei's Fish is a top choice in Cupertino for delicious, comforting fish soups and authentic Chinese flavors. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots for sauerkraut fish soup. I'm a sucker for a good soup with rice. Food: Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup: This soup was perfectly sour and balanced, with just a hint of spice but super mild. It was packed with tender pieces of fish and came with an option to add ingredients. We chose noodles and cabbage, which made the dish even more satisfying and filling since it absorbed the flavors of the broth Green Sichuan Pepper Sauerkraut Fish Soup: This soup brought a bolder, numbing spice from the green Sichuan pepper, adding a new level of heat. Spicier than the Old Pot soup, it was still very enjoyable and included fresh fish pieces. We added noodles and tofu. Soup did get older after a while compared to the sauerkraut fish soup. Coconut Lava Balls: A delightful dessert option! These were crispy on the outside and soft, sweet, and gooey on the inside. Although slightly pricey, they were a delicious way to end the meal and are highly recommended. Service: The service at Wei's Fish was efficient and friendly. Despite the busy atmosphere, our food came out quickly. We also get unlimited rice. Ambiance: Wei's Fish has a vibrant, "very orangey" interior with bright, white accents, creating a cheerful and inviting space. The decor gives the restaurant an authentic, casual Chinese vibe. It can get crowded and lively, but this adds to the energetic feel. The setting is perfect for groups or anyone looking to enjoy a lively meal with friends or family. I'll definitely be back for more of their sauerkraut fish soup!

Yelp
We arrived at midday on a Sunday, and it wasn't packed. Ordering was easy via QR code, and the staff members were very friendly. We decided to share a large old sauerkraut pot, and it was terrific. Full of flavor and plenty of tender pieces of fish. We loved how the rice soaked up all of the broth. So good. Best of all, we left full but not stuffed. We'll be back, for sure. Next time, I want to try the snakehead fish.

Yelp
Looking for delicious 四川spicy fish and cabbage soup? This is the perfect place. There are varieties of soup base (spicy, lemon, green pepper, tomato). Overall is great experience.

Yelp
For 3 people we ordered one large bowl of their signature hot oil suancai fish. It reminds me of a home cooked meal. A bit spicy for me but perfect for my companions. Service is pretty fast. The place is neon bright fit for a fast food place. Will come back to try other dishes. Nice to have meal here when it's cold outside.

Yelp
Decent food, reasonable portions, moderate size interior dining, but the service was a complete miss for us. They kept speaking Chinese to us even though we told them we don't understand. We were confused most of the time we were here; someone just ushered us to a table and nobody told us how to order. Once the food came out the server promptly placed the food on the table and walked straight away and we didn't have an opportunity to ask for more water or ask how to get the rice. You pay up front afterwards but we didn't know so we sat there until we saw other people walking up to pay and followed suit. I think the service is definitely better if you speak their language. The old pot sauerkraut was full of flavor - tangy and sour. There was a reasonable amount of tender fish in the broth but for 2 of us it didn't get us very full. You get 4 free toppings and we chose potato noodles, cabbage, enoki mushrooms, tofu skin. The noodles were our favorite since it was thick and chewy. There was barely any cabbage. It's free rice but they say you will get a charge for unfinished rice, and it's hard to get contact with someone to ask for extra rice. Brown sugar cakes were yummy - slightly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside! But it was pretty pricey for the portion. I'm not sure I'd come back again, the food was decent but there wasn't a wow factor. Definitely worth checking out though, and expect a no frills fast casual service!

Yelp
I love eating here when I'm craving some spicy comfort food. It's also really great with big groups because they're so shareable. Along with the gosh stews, the beef ramen dish is sooo good. There's a lot of good seating and fast service.

Yelp
Wei's Fish is a delicious option for sauerkraut fish with the added perks of: super strong AC, fast service, and great value for the area (less than 20 dollars per person after tax and tip for a sit down restaurant in South Bay!). There's a small lot in front of the restaurant that I can see filling up rather quickly. I went on a Saturday right at noon and there were still about 30-40% of the tables available, but by 12:30 there was a line out the door. Note: the Refreshing Lemon soup option is apparently unavailable during the summer. Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup w/ Snakehead Fish (4.5/5): I got a large and it was perfect for two people. I highly recommend upgrading the fish as the snakehead is super delicate and tender. The flavors of the broth are exactly what you want: very sour and spicy, perfectly seasoned. It comes with two bowls of rice, which perfectly mellows all those strong flavors. Brown Sugar Cake (4/5): This has the texture of fried mochi with brown sugar syrup on top and it's not the best I've ever had, but certainly hits the spot.

Yelp
I would say the place acts as the niche for the traditional spicy fish soup in the area. I've personally never seen something so interesting as a fruit soup base for Chinese fish soup, so I jumped at the opportunity to try it. Ordering is done through QR code, and every soup comes with a bowl of rice. Be warned, they state that unfinished rice results in extra charges, but I'm unsure how much they police this. Taste wise, the soup gave an ample amount of fish as well as the selected additions (tofu and tofu skin). It was a very filling meal, and the broth was flavorful yet light to the point that I didn't feel sluggish after the meal. The service is very quick and attentive despite the restaurant having been super busy when we went.

Yelp
This place is pretty inexpensive if you're splitting the bill. Rice is included but you will get charged if you don't eat/waste the rice. Food comes out pretty fast. Check them out if you're craving something light that won't weigh you down.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try sauerkraut fish soup so glad we have this in the bay area. they have a lot of different variety with dishes including beef and fish. would definitely recommend the hot oil infusion sauerkraut fish soup. it's so comforting for the winter days too. the staff are also friendly with recommendations.

Yelp
The food is So yummy!! But there really isn't a lot of food in each dish. I would say each fish dish is good for 1.5 person. Also although it is advertised that you get side dish for each large dish. They really meant that u get side dish for each FISH dish. Staff is very friendly and the ambiance is very busy and popping! Would recommend

Yelp
Have been here twice already and would highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Chinese-style fish soup in a casual environment! Both times I've visited have been during dinnertime which can definitely get busy -- the parking lot is pretty small (we had to park on the street once) and there's usually a wait to be seated (not too bad though). The old pot sauerkraut fish soup is my go-to and the large size is perfect for two people looking to share! A large size also comes with 4 add-ins (small size comes with 2) and this includes items like napa cabbage, sweet potato glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms, etc. This soup isn't super spicy at all and enjoying it with the add-ins and the free rice feels very warm and hearty especially on colder days. My favorite add-ins are the tofu skin, glass noodles, and napa cabbage! In addition to their fish soups, I've also tried their pork tenders, sesame balls, and coconut lava balls. All have been delicious, but the most memorable would definitely be the coconut lava balls! These things are phenomenal -- crispy on the outside with a coconut tapioca filling inside that's not too sweet.

Yelp
This place has one of the best Fish Fillet Fish soups with Pickled Mustard Greens in the Bay Area. It's a casual spot and a great place to dine alone or share dishes with others. The interior is upbeat with a vibrant orange color. If you order a small portion, you get to choose two side dishes, while a large portion comes with four side dishes. Though they are called 'side dishes', they are actually extra toppings mixed into the soup rather than served on separate plates. * Green Sichuan Pepper Sauerkraut Fish Soup - Large with Basa fish, Yuba, Enoki mushrooms, sliced celtuce, and sweet potato glass noodles The flavor is balanced--sour, spicy, and savory, which bursts in your mouth. The Green Sichuan pepper adds some numbness to your tongue (if you know what I mean) and stimulates your senses in multiple ways. We picked basa fillet because we didn't want fish with bones, making it easier to eat. I honestly think all the toppings go well with this soup, so just pick your favorites. I highly recommend the Yuba and glass noodles. Yuba absorbs all the flavor from the soup, making it flavorful and juicy. Glass noodles add an extra texture to the soup, perfect if you like something chewy. What's even better is that the rice is free, and you can get unlimited refills (of course, order what you can finish). They claim you can finish three bowls of rice with the fish soup. *Deep-fried milk (not the actual name, but I couldn't find it on the menu) While ordering on my phone, I saw they also have deep-fried milk available. However, it's not on their menu anywhere, so I'm not sure if this is a limited-time item. It's so yummy! It's a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is more like milk custard inside, so it doesn't have the oozy effect when you bite into it. Overall, I am happy with this meal, 10/10!

Yelp
Major comfort food for a Chinese person. Casual dining. The fish stew can be spicy or not. For the spicy part of the family the numbing peppers was satisfying. For the non-spicy side of the family the citrus based soup was yummy. More recently the menu has been expanded to beef and chicken. I haven't tried these later ones.

Yelp
The food here is so good and big portions! I've only gotten take out from here but I believe you can have unlimited rice when you dine in. I like getting take out and adding extra ingredients to the broth. My favorite broth is the tomato one!

Yelp
It's hard to come across authentic 酸菜魚(Sichuan fish with pickled mustard greens)but Wei's Fish specializes in it and delivered. Ordering was very easy through a QR code. We ordered the dish with snakehead fish instead of basa for an extra $3. The broth was very rich and flavorful and loaded with pickled mustard greens. Spice level was perfect for me as someone with a pretty mild spice tolerance. The large size is definitely good for 2-3 people and it comes with rice for each person. We picked the tofu skin, napa cabbage, wood ear mushroom, and enoki mushrooms as the sides which are cooked in the soup and paired really well. We also ordered some of the fried foods to try. The fried mantou buns with condensed milk were good as well as the sausage which is essentially a Taiwanese sausage. The fried coconut lava balls were good as well, with a liquid coconut sago filling. Service was pretty minimal but efficient. The restaurant itself was very bright and clean with plenty of seating.

Yelp
I love this place. It is nice and clean with modern decor. The service is usually good (good not great. You will need to wave down the waiter if you need service because they won't come to check on you). There is a barcode at the table where you can place an order with your own mobile device. The food comes out pretty quickly. I ordered Green sichuan pepper souerkraut fish soup (basa fish with glass noodle with lotus root). Loved it. The fish tasted fresh. The preserved veggie was crunchy and tasty. I loved the glass noodle and lotus root. It came with a bowl of rice. YUMMY!!!

Yelp
This place is good, wish they had the fish tenders when we went, they only had the chicken which was like sauceless lemon chicken. The soups we got were good, my favorite was probably the highest recommended one (i cant remember what it was called), but I included the picture lol. We got the combo, and ordered one additional soup. Combo came with a small soup of your choice, sides of your choice, and a drink. I would recommend not getting glass noodles in the fruit soup, they are super thick and didn't really mesh well. The smalls I would say could probably serve two people lol, definitely would not be able to finish one whole one myself. The service was what knocked down the stars, every time we looked around for help, we had to go up and ask. The wait time was pretty long, which meant, it must be good food, which it was. Inside has a bunch of tables, and it is pretty casual dining.

Yelp
Wei's fish is consistently good. The service is fast and you pay up front at the register. Ordered: 1. Old pot sauerkraut (you can pick two add ons with a small, I got potato noodles and enoki). It is top rated on the menu and has a nice tangy taste but isn't too spicy. The fish is soft, portions are large, comes with rice. I would definitely order this one again. 2. Signature suancai and fish. This one was very spicy but the flavor was good. It came with no additional add ons but includes potato noodles and rice. Had no bones in the fish. Their portions are big! I would recommend getting a large and sharing so you can get more free add ons.

Yelp
The four of us girls had two large dishes: a large Green Sichuan pepper sayerkraut fish soup (with cabbage, mushroom, glass noodles, and lotus) and a large Golden Sour and spicy fish soup (with two cabbages, mushroom and glass noodles) Each comes with two bowls of rice The service was good, and most staff spoke Chinese and English. The place looks clean, and there are chairs by the door for people who are waiting. My friends and I enjoyed it so much that we were full at the end, and we had some soup to take home. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Non-chinese speaking person here. Went with my husband and adult daughter for the first time. Walked in, there's an ipad along the wall to check in with name & number of people. Came on a Sunday night around 6pm and waited probably about 3 minutes before we were seated. There's a QR code on the table to place your order First was thinking for 3 adults we would order a large and a small, but after looking around the restaurant, we decided on 2 smalls. We ordered the Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup with Basa fish and the Lemon Fish. In terms of spiciness, the Sauerkraut Fish soup has 1 pepper next to it on the menu. It wasn't too spicey. We just avoided eating any of the peppers or peppercorns and it was fine. The Lemon Fish has 1/2 a pepper next to it on the menu and it wasn't spicy at all. Flavor wise, I think both were excellent, but I think I liked the Lemon Fish the best. We also ordered the Brown Sugar Rice Cake and Golden Buns. We first started out with 2 bowls of rice for the 3 of us, but then asked for a 3rd bowl. Overall, would recommend this place. Looking forward to going back and trying the Tomato Soup next.
