"In this house steeped in tradition, pretty details such as wood panelling and historical photos make for a cosy atmosphere. In the kitchen, international and regional dishes are created, such as grilled turbot fillet, herb foam, black salsify, pumpkin gnocchi. The hotel of the same name has comfortable and tastefully decorated guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

Exceptionally courteous staff. Excellent service and hospitality. The rooms are clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast where everyone finds something to their liking. Try the eggs they make them fresh in addition 😉 This will be our place to stay when we are in Heidelberg again!

This is a very old hotel in the middle of old town and tourist attractions. It has two Michelin stars on the front door. It's cute that the reception desk is nearly in the kitchen. My room was redone with new flooring and an updated bath. The ceiling beams were a little low so I bumped my head a few times. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Great location. Food is not that good. Most staff aren't terribly friendly. Extremely overpriced. They don't tell you the breakfast buffet costs extra until after you eat. Every hotel I've stayed at in Germany has free breakfast except here. 15 euro for a cup of coffee and a croissant.

I honestly liked most everything, it's an old institution, or at least building, but it was renovated so that bathrooms are top modern and well planned and made. Room furniture is a la antique mix with some international modern style, but due to pleasant colour scheme it was nicely put together, and although not all furniture are in top state, it makes a good match and atmosphere. Everything fitted perfectly, so there was good planning here too. Bed was comfortable, all facilities were there. Specially room 206 has no view (looking at a wall) but it is pretty quite, which was important for me and they provided. Although I liked the hotel room and the breakfast, I find the price of the room was sufficient to include the breakfast, the additional price of breakfast made the total a bit over the adequate price, to my experience. Another thing would be that the twin beds would be attached to each other, and only if asked for - separated. Very happy we booked a table at the restaurant for dinner too, dinner was excellent- we took the summer menu that had light dishes, beautifully made and amazing sorbet ice cream. Only thing that was annoying was that at the beginning they offer a "surprise drink" which was a nice simple gin syrup glass. The real surprise was the price of it on the bill: if you are charging for a drink like this 50% more than it would cost at any serious bar, advise the guest in advance about this surprise factor, would be my tip.

After touring Switzerland and Germany for four weeks we stopped at this restaurant for dinner because the location was very pretty but unfortunately the price was outrageous, the food just okay, the wine bad and the service the worst we come across in our trip. I never wrote a bad review but I felt that this one should be written manly because of the service. Also their menu is not straight forward with prices. Check before you go!

Disappointed with the restaurant. Ambiance outside in the square was nice, but the food was not great, service was slow and inattentive. Most of my dishes were oversalted and tasted otherwise bland. The tatar was oversalted and overspiced, drowning out the flavor of the meat. The best thing we got was the foie gras creme brulé (slightly sweet to balance all the salty stuff), but even that was a bit gritty.

Found it on Trip Adviser as one of the best in Heidelberg. It lived up to the name with a beautiful interior, delicious food, and reasonable prices for being in the Michelin club. Our waiter was very nice and cracked a lot of jokes with us. I can highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in Heidelberg. On another note, I had no idea it was a hotel as well.

Absolutely perfect! The hotel was amazing, soft beds, good shower, very nice breakfast and in the room all the stuff you needed! The staff was very friendly and did everything possible to make you feel pampered and at home. The food in the restaurant was so good, really worth trying! Would defenitly recommend to everyone visiting Heidelberg!

Yelp
One of the finest meals I've ever had and the service was impeccable. There were three servers working our table who were constantly attentive. The meal started with a small complementary cup of potato soup and bread service. For appetizers we had foie gras and a bouillabaisse both were delightful. For entrées we had the braised ox cheek and the crispy duck both were we enjoyed them immensely. We finished off dinner with the crème brûlée and cognac! Could not recommend dining here more highly.

Yelp
This was a great dining place in Heidelberg. The restaurant is in the center of the old town and one can't miss it. We had a group dinner of 50 people and sat comfortably inside. The staff was attentive and the price was reasonable. The food was outstanding, probably French influenced German cuisine: hearty, delicate and had beautiful presentation. We enjoyed a relaxing environment in this classy restaurant. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Best meal we've had in Germany. If German food had a French presentation and interpretation, this is it. Delicious, thoughtfully prepared and top notch as far as preparation and ingredients. I called for a reservation and was told there was a party o 95 (!) coming in around the same time, so we shifted a half hour earlier and had the place to ourselves. Friendly service and super upscale without being stuffy. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I love that the servers were all excited about the food and happy that we really loved it. Life is too short to eat the same schnitzel and spagel and sausage and spatzel every day you're here; try it all Weisser Bock style and you won't regret it.

Yelp
Wish I could go back. Beautiful stained glass. Best veal I every had in Germany. Staff was very helpful. Don't miss the parm soup

Yelp
I have visited this restaurant every time I go to Heidelberg and i was very disappointed this time. The food was still very good, but the service has really gone downhill. The wait staff was very unfriendly and at time surly. I will not go there again.

Yelp
The main courses are about 25€, four courses goes for 55€. This is a really good price compared to the quality of the food and service. We sat on the outside of the hotel/restaurant, which has a great atmosphere and is quiet although being just a block away from the main shopping street. Be aware though: At the very last table down the street, there is some kind of a garbage chute/ventilation exhaust that during our visit had a nasty smell. Avoid it and have a seat!

Yelp
This is a really lovely, although small, hotel and restaurant. My room was quite large, and very cozy. There is a small elevator, so no need to lug the suitcases up the stairs. The staff was charming, and very helpful in providing suggestions for shops and logistics for sight seeing. The breakfast is wonderful (although a bit pricey on my budget). The location of the hotel is perfect - you can easily walk anywhere in Old Town, and there are many fabulous restaurants and shops within just a few blocks.

Yelp
Great service in an old-time Restaurant. The best venison backstrap ever. The atmosphere is German classic with superb service. The Restaurant is located in the Historic Old Town Heidelberg.A must visit while staying in Heidelberg.

Yelp
Great service, beautiful outdoor seats and inside phenomenon. I ordered a sea bass very delicious. I surprisingly find their different kinds of bread very tasty. Don't know if the bread is Germany style. A little bit pricy but absolutely worth the price.

Yelp
Weisser Bock is a hotel and restaurant located in the city centre. It consists of two floors. The first floor is exquisitely decorated with old furnishing and paintings. There is an internal stair connecting the ground floor to the second floor balcony. The restaurant also includes a large private dining room. Yelp
We went here for lunch. One of the best meals I've had. Started with the lemongrass soup. It was absolutely put of this world!! So flavorful! Then had the salad, with asparagus and tomatoes. It also had little balls of fried cheese. Doesn't sound good but WAS. Another one of us had the pasta with mussels and he loved it. It's in the old town. Absolutely fantastic.

Yelp
Great place for outside dinning. Off the beaten path on a side street. Service was great and our waiter was able to translate the menu for us. We really enjoyed the food and had a great local champagne. We were celebrating our engagement and couldn't have picked a better place.
