Weisses Rössli

This was the highlight of my trip to Zurich. The restaurant has an unassuming charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff were very inviting and attentive, and the food was incredible!

We had a wonderful evening at Weisses Rössli. The 3-course menu was perfectly balanced, featuring high-quality ingredients and refined flavors. The service was attentive and warm, and the restaurant’s atmosphere was very pleasant. A great spot in Zurich that we highly recommend!

The food was absolutely delightful, the atmosphere warm, cosy, and romantic, and the service wonderfully attentive. Our waitress was kind and enthusiastic, taking the time to recommend dishes when we were unsure what to choose. For my partner’s birthday, we both opted for the four-course menu, and it turned out to be the perfect setting for an intimate and memorable dinner. The wine selection was exceptional, complementing each course beautifully. A particularly lovely touch was the two complimentary offerings from the kitchen, which came as delightful surprises between courses and added to the experience. The only slight drawback was that some portions could have been a bit more generous—an extra 10-20g per dish would have made a difference—but everything was impeccably prepared and bursting with flavour. Despite this, we left feeling happy and satisfied with our decision to dine here. It’s a place we would wholeheartedly recommend for a special occasion or a romantic evening.

Overall, a great experience. I would gladly return. The service was attentive without being overly intrusive, which contributed positively to the overall dining experience. That said, for a restaurant in this price range, the atmosphere felt slightly casual. The food was flavorful, well-presented, and showcased a thoughtful approach to seasonality. Portion sizes were well-balanced—satisfying without being overly filling. However, the wine selection by the glass could be more compelling. The list is relatively limited, and the curation does not quite meet the expectations set by the rest of the experience. Outdoor seating, while a nice option, is not particularly comfortable for extended dinners. Additionally, the proximity to a children's playground—though it's heartening to hear kids playing—detracts somewhat from the ambiance.

Weisses Rössli restaurant has always have an special place on my heart; this is my second visit, my first since Chef Ivan Capo has make a complete transformation of the place making it a top place for an unique and amazing dining experience, for family, friends or just a romantic dinner, there is the place. The service was friend, professional, warm and unique in Zurich, with a great charismatic and product knowledge approach, I can assure you, you will enjoy every minute of it, I had to recommend to get the paring with your meal, it will elevate the whole experience especially with no alcohol option as well, but if you like just couple of drink, they will guide you well. The restaurant atmosphere is cozy, personal, elegant, warm and unique, with great decoration and ambient. The food, which from beginning to end was amazing, we had the pleasure to experience this fine dining restaurant and the touch of Chef Ivan and his Team, starting with the Appetizer; never imagined enjoy so much a pizza until now. We begin with the recommendation of the chef, the truffle, champagne pasta course and the deer tartar; both full umami, creaminess and balance, every bite worth to enjoy. Next course, caramela, signature dish of the Chef Ivan, I can describe it as magic, I was feeling tickle and pleasant mouth feeling by eating this dish, some people call this a food org***, my wife had the vega Cauliflower option, so much flavour and complexity in a plate, as I said just magic. Next courses, wild boar which I requested as an addition course before the main course. Just perfect texture, balance dish. Tender, creamy, with the crunchy of the kale and the rich texture of the sauce and sesame and truffle aromatics/flavours; just another masterpiece. The main course was the fish dish which was a great end of the savoury courses and my wife had Veal course, we were so exited of these courses, we even forgot to take pictures. To finish the night as per desserts, the baba and the Sea Buckthorn were just perfect balance/flavour and texture. In overall, elegant, sophisticated, flavourful and unique experience. I can say; don’t hesitate twice to go and enjoy yourself with their service. It is completely understandable why they were rewarded with 15 Gault Millau … I am looking forward to come back.

We’ve gone here for a couple birthdays. A few years ago the meal was out of this world and felt the quality to price was a good deal. Recently while it was a good meal and service, the meal felt saltier than I remember. Also, I don’t love the etiquette of asking for another drink when I already ordered the wine pairing and getting charged for an additional drink. Maybe it’s common sense for me to know but it’s not the best practice in my opinion.

What a wonderful restaurant! The place was very cozy and cutely decorated. The service was great! We had a cheese platter for an appetizer which was absolutely delicious. I had the veal which was so soft, flavorful, delicious. The dish came with egg, which I loved. I really loved it here!

Great dinner for our last night of vacation. Accommodated reservations. 4 course menu with limited selections but they were all great options! Great local vibe and was location to walk from old town area despite the rain. Amazing service

One of the best restaurants in Zurich. You could easily spend twice as much for food that is half as good. Quality of food and service is about that of a fancy restaurant in San Francisco. I love the light colored wood and sun streaming through the windows. They have a lunch prix fix soup or salad plus entree that is CHF 31.50 and a great deal.

The wonderful owner of the super popular Weisses Rössli squeezed me in for dinner at the last minute. I was staying around the corner at the B2 Boutique Hotel and they highly recommended this restaurant. I was traveling solo so the owner seated me at the bar. It turned into a magical night with an incredible meal and a wonderful experience sitting at the bar chatting to him and two old friends of his who stopped by for a drink. This was the best meal I had in Zürich by far and the quality was superb and price was incredibly reasonable. The restaurant is small and beautifully decorated. I suggest booking ahead. What a fantastic surprise, I can't recommend Weisses Rössli highly enough. I will definitely be back!!!

If you want really good Ravioli , or excellent Curry (chicken or lamb) this is the place to go. The food is really a highlight in a place full of art.one of my favorites in Zurich
