The photos looks amazing. We went in early in the morning. The queue was already building up. It was warm and very sunny (this was early November). Parking is free and has limited spaces but people come take photos and leave so turnover is quick. There might be a long line during busy times. People kindly take pictures if you ask them. You can offer to take their pictures too they will appreciate it.

Google
The Welcome to Las Vegas sign is absolutely essential for any Vegas trip! This 25-foot tall landmark from 1959 is completely free and such a fun photo op. Located at 5100 Las Vegas Blvd South, about a mile south of Mandalay Bay. Pro tip: Go early morning around 8am! The parking lot only has 34 spots and fills up fast, plus you'll avoid the long lines that can reach an hour during busy times. You can only enter the parking lot from the southbound direction, so if you're coming from the Strip you'll need to drive past it and make a U-turn. The sign has two sides - the famous "Welcome" side facing north and "Drive Carefully Come Back Soon" on the back. There are often Elvis impersonators around offering photos (tip expected), and sometimes a volunteer photographer named Dean who'll take great shots for free. For photos, try the classic peace sign pose, jumping shots, or human pyramids. Early morning or evening light is much better than harsh midday sun - there's zero shade so bring sunscreen in summer! If you can't make it here, there's also a "Welcome to Downtown Las Vegas" sign on Fremont Street that's usually less crowded. But honestly, this is THE Vegas photo - been on the National Register of Historic Places since 2009 for good reason. Worth the effort to get that perfect shot!

I’ve always wanted to come and take a picture here! Try to go early morning if it’s summer as the sun it’s unbearable in the afternoon. The good thing is that there’s a civilized line lol people are waiting patiently and you can ask kindly someone behind you to take your picture. You do not have to pay to get in the line and take a picture , but I saw someone with an umbrella offering shade and to take pictures for a fee. That’s optional. Will be going back to take more pictures in a different time of the day.

Google
A place to stop and take pictures when you pass trough Las Vegas. The only setback was that at the sign there was a very agressive person that seemed to "own the place" and "organized" everyone. He didn't ask for something explicitly, but he was telling people that it is America and nothing is for free. I really wonder what the Police is doing about it..... he really agressed people that didn't "respect" his organization.....

Magical 💖 I was for our 30th Wedding Anniversary! A lot of things to do, beautiful, prepare to walk like Disney or more😂 but vale la pena. If you do the gandula ride do it inside they sing you was like Venetian and don’t forget to visit Fremont the old town 🫶🏼 and October month the weather was on point not hot not cold

Google
Great experience, what a landmark still going strong. A local professional photographer is there to help you take your photos/ videos. He doesn’t charge but he accepts tips. We walked for approx 35/40 from MGM Grand

Google
Open 24/7/365. Can be pretty crowded for pictures unless you go at REALLY OFF TIMES . It is one of the best free things to do in Las Vegas. If you want more free old signs, go farther down the strip and just this side of Charleston (which is the name of a cross street about 4 miles down the road) there are; in the center divider of Las Vegas Blvd. more restored signs for various old businesses. There are about, say, 13 of them. With the last one ending just after Washington. Also. If you turn right on Fremont St. Away from the canopy. There are more old signs ,still in use on Fremont.

Google
I recommend going early in the morning or at night when the sign is lit up—it looks especially stunning against the desert sky or glowing in neon. Whether it’s your first time in Vegas or your tenth, snapping a photo here feels like an essential part of the experience. The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is a must-see landmark! It’s simple but full of history and charm, capturing the spirit of the city the moment you arrive. The sign is free to visit and has its own parking area, which makes it easy to stop for photos without feeling rushed. Depending on the time of day, there may be a line for pictures, but the wait usually moves quickly and is worth it for such a classic Vegas memory.

Yelp
The famous Welcome To Las Vegas Sign... a signature stop when you're visiting Las Vegas either on your way in or on your way out of the sin city that never sleeps. It gets very busy at all times of the day unless you get here really really early or really really late. Plan accordingly. But then again, it's open 24 hours LOL. Come any time! Here's a tip... if you're okay in not being right in front of the sign, you may stand at the side and get a side photo. You will not need to stand in line for a side photo. It still looks good IMHO. Otherwise, you may need to wait in line for some time depending on time of day. Please note tour buses come through here, too. Limited parking is available. Enjoy your Las Vegas visit! Have fun!!

Yelp
I didn't get a photo of the welcome to Vegas sign. Just drove past it. Adding the welcome to area 15 Nevada sign. I've definitely stopped at the welcome to Vegas sign before. I don't have those old photos anymore though lol I didn't want to stop this time. We drove right past it. And I waved at it hahaha Fun photo spot for people visiting. Boring for me, since I've done it before lol My husband also didn't want to bother stopping here for pictures.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
For all the times I've been to Vegas I've never been here. I stopped here at night because one of my friends wanted to. They have a parking lot which is helpful. It was fairly busy and there was no rhyme or reason for taking pictures without other people in them. We lucked out as there was a photographer there who offered to take our pics and send them to us, free of charge but tips are welcome. We were skeptical but did it and did not regret it! She took fantastic photos of us in several different poses. She knew exactly where we could stand without getting others in our pics, and she was SO funny! If you encounter one of these photogs I'd recommend, because the pics will be way better!

Yelp
The Infamous Welcome Sign can only be seen from one direction. However the fabulous sign is a 4 way perspective. For some people it could mean Leaving the old world. For others. It could be a sign of a Las Vegas way of life once remembered. Either way, the iconic sign has always been a warming smile that could sell sin.
google avatar

Melvika S.

Yelp
The classic must-do thing when you come to Vegas! You simply can't come to Vegas and not come take pictures at the sign. If it's your first time, or even 20th time, its a standard. The sign is on the south end of the strip, there's street parking around the area, but it's walking distance as most attractions are. Lines are typically short, but the few times I've been, other people do give you the opportunity to take your pictures and have your few moments to shine. It's very exiting visiting the sign! And it's totally free!
google avatar

Jacky C.

Yelp
Nothing better to welcome you to the Las Vegas Strip than to stop by and take a photo of the Las Vegas Sign. Expect a long line if you want a front and center photo of the Las Vegas sign. Otherwise, you can just stand on the right or left side of the sign and quickly snap a photo that way. Anything for the gram these days.
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
We got there around 9 am and the line was about 20 folks. There was a photographer there taking pictures for tips which made it convenient for us others were able to take their pictures on their own. Need to go early as it gets pretty hot quick.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're in Vegas you have to check out the welcome to Las Vegas sign. It will be one of the things you need to do if you're there as a tourist. We have been to Vegas many times as we have family there but this is the first time we brought others with us who have never been and we decided to stop by this area for a photo op. We went at night and there was a small line to take pics in front of it. There are photographers there and one of them made some kind suggestions but i actually preferred the pics that we took without her suggestions better for some reason. We assisted the couple in front of us with their photos and they assisted us with our photos. There is plenty of parking in the lot. It's a fun place for the experience and for photos. You will not regret stopping by.

Yelp
Since it my first time in Vegas, it goes without saying that I paid a visit to the famous Welcome to Last Vegas Sign. It welcomes people into the city and its image has become not only synonymous with the city but also with American pop culture. Part of this has to do with the fact that the sign was never copyrighted, so anyone could reproduce it. I finished lunch and had time before my evening plans, so I decided to walk south to check it out. The sign is located on the south end of the Strip; I was staying at the Wynn which was more on north-central, and it took me well over an hour to walk there. All good though, since I enjoy walking and wanted to soak in the Strip. Anyway, when I arrived I was looking around for the sign but couldn't find it - eventually I saw a crowd of people and realized the sign was there. Why did I miss it at first? Well, because it was way smaller than I expected. I was thinking it was a large sign with a grand presence, but it really wasn't. It was quite small and not far off the ground - which I found odd for something meant to be seen while driving. I snapped a couple of pictures and then went on my way. Overall though, it's such an iconic piece of pop culture that I do feel it's well worth seeing - especially if it's your first time in Vegas.

Yelp
Our most recent trip to Las Vegas allowed us to revisit some of our past time favorites and also cross off a few of our Las Vegas bucket list experiences. I remember being curious about this sign about 19 years ago, but never had the time or opportunity to visit. We were thrilled to see it this go round. When we arrived there is a narrow, yet sufficient parking lot just in front of the sign. There was a small line of tourists waiting for their change to get front row and center for the perfect photo op. We did not have time to wait in the line so we sort of stood off to the side for our shots and then hopped back into the car. Very much so worth the drive if you have access to a vehicle. If we had to uber, I'd probably skip it.
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
There is not really to much to say about coming to see this sign. It's world famous of course. It's a must if you come to Vegas. Parking lot is kind of small but the traffic keeps moving since it's just a quick photo op. If you go to Vegas, go see the sign lol!
google avatar

Fernanda A.

Yelp
Worth an iconic pic! If you want to skip the stress and the long line--especially if it's hot out, there are professional photographer nearby, I agreed on a price ($4 for 10 photos worked perfectly), and got high-quality pictures without the wait. They AirDropped the pics so everything felt smooth and secure. Highly recommend this approach if you want great shots and zero hassle!
google avatar

Erich L.

Yelp
This is a fun free thing to do. There is a decent sized parking lot but you have to wait in line that can be an hour easily. People are there to help take your photo and expect a tip. Just be prepared if the sun is strong it can be a difficult wait in line.
google avatar

Michele D.

Yelp
My 500th review, this historical landmark sign is a must do, when visiting Vegas. Should be on your bucket list, in my opinion. This well-maintained sign is worth doing once. Was it crowded??? Yes! Parking can be a hit or miss. But there's something so special about this sign. Colorful and vibrant! I hope they will NEVER take it away! After all, what would Vegas really be without it??? A fun and historic experience! Check it out! I LOVED it! Cheers and Enjoy, Yelpers!!! Viva Las Vegas!!!
google avatar

Drizza N.

Yelp
Thank you to the photo person that allowed us to skip the line and take Pics for tips
google avatar

Erik G.

Yelp
Been to Vegas before, but it was my first time seeing the sign. The sign looks better on its own with the lights at night. However, if you want to take a picture in front of the sign, it will look better in the daytime. I'm really into neon signs and the Las Vegas sign is truly magnificent to see up close. As I mentioned previously, come during the day to take pictures with the sign and come back at night to take in the beauty of the sign lit up. That's my 2 cents!
google avatar

Chee K.

Yelp
So this sign is a bit of a tourist trap and not. Tourist trap bc it's small and you'll stand in line to get a photo. There are a couple of photographers that will take your photo for you for a tip. Now you don't have to stand in line and you don't have to use them. But if you do, they'll actually do a decent job and your photos will look better than a selfie. It's your choice. Go there once to experience it.
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
"I saw the sign, and it opened up my mind" or so the song says! Well okay, seeing this is not quite a majorly mind-altering experience, but it is the classic and iconic Las Vegas Sign and a must-see for anyone visiting our fabulous city. Getting a picture in front of the sign is just what everyone has to do at least once. Many of the bus tours from the strip to places like the Hoover dam or Area 51 include this as a quick stop as part of the tour, which is an easy way to make sure this is in your itinerary when visiting Las Vegas. However, you should be aware that with multiple busses stopping here at peak times of the day, it can be busy and require some patience to get your pictures in. If you're not doing a tour, the best time to go is early morning when it isn't as busy. Of course you can go at night too and see it all lit up, but for the best pictures best to do them in the daylight in my opinion. In conclusion - if it's your first time to Vegas, be sure to see this so you too can add yourself to the millions who can truly claim...."I saw the sign"!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I've been to Las Vegas numerous times but this was my first time to the 'Welcome to Las Vegas Sign.' I really wasn't all that jazzed to go but once we got here I realized it's a cute photo opp and really iconic. There was a little line and when it's your turn you take a minute and snap your photos. There are parking spaces and whatnot to pull into. This is a worthwhile stop! Also it's one of the only things in this town that is free!
google avatar

Cynthia V.

Yelp
In my book, this was a must-do: I feel like you have to see one of the most famous signs in the world in person. Prepare for a line - I am sure it isn't bad earlier in the morning but when I got there around 10am it was easily 100+ people long. There is a parking lot available, but I chose to Uber and that was very simple. Iconic - I am glad I came to see it for myself!
google avatar

Amber P.

Yelp
Cool place. Get the person behind you to take your pic, there is someone there offering to take your picture (with your phone), but will charge you.
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Happy I saw the famous sign when I was in town but I wouldn't go back a second time. Sign was smaller than expected. It was pedestrian friendly and had good parking. It was also a few mile walk from the casinos on the strip.
google avatar

Janie D.

Yelp
Ignore the bad reviews; this iconic sign is a great photo op. Located in the middle of the road on a grassy median, visiting the sign requires you to drive into and/or park in the paved area of the median. There is a decent amount of parking, and I had no trouble being dropped off and picked up by an Uber. Early arrival is suggested, but if you visit in the middle of the day like I did, it will of course be more crowded. I arrived at 10am, and there were about 50 people in line for an unobstructed shot front and center. There was a "professional" photographer offering to take people's photos for a fee. Instead of waiting in the long line, I stood off to one side, and managed to get plenty of nice photos with no one in the background, and without getting in anyone else's way. It was a chaotic experience, but with a little patience, I got some great photos. I will come back late at night next time.
google avatar

Isaac A.

Yelp
I've only ever come in from the airport and never went past the sign. There's a parking lot there and there were busloads of people. We walked down from the strip and it was so far away from almost everything, but it was good to see (no chance of getting a photo in front of it on this visit though) and let us go by the Harley Davidson and Pinball Hall of Fame there. It's a thing I'd only do once.
google avatar

Astrida M.

Yelp
We simply had to do this #1 touristy thing while in Vegas. I wanted to do this when I turned 21 and was visiting Vegas a few years ago, but there was no place to park back then. You had to take your life into your hands, crossing the Boulevard to get to it. Now it's a different story. It is registered as a historical sign with the National Register of Historic Places! It has a parking lot for the thousands of tourists that want to take a picture with it, just like my daughter and I did. I'm now crossing it off my bucket list. Done.
google avatar

Carmi A.

Yelp
Beautiful safe and free attraction located right outside the airport located across the street from a golf course
google avatar

Mary Lou S.

Yelp
A fun stop when in Vegas. A pic by the Welcome to Las Vegas sign makes for a great memory. The line gets long, so be prepared for a wait. Also the parking lot gets filled up. You can usually get your picture taken with Elvis in it or you and your group can take your own pics. It's a nice pic in the daytime to see everyone's face, but it's also cool at night when you see it all lit up.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
I always jog here during my visits to Vegas, regardless of where I'm staying. I start every morning with 4 miles, so I usually get to the sign between 7-9am when it is not really that crowded. What else can you say, this is an ICONIC picture spot. How else can you describe a sign that millions have seen on their way into this famed city of sin. The city has even built a small median area to park at so you can take pictures of it. IF you are lucky, you will find Elvis signing during your visit, which elevates the experience. When I see this sign while driving into town I imagine all the gambling, money, drinking, craziness, and fun I am about to have. #VEGAS
google avatar

Mae D.

Yelp
It seems like a well maintained area and there is free parking right next to it. We went on a summer Tuesday morning at 9 am and there were already approximately 40 people in line. The parking lot receives really hot exhaust/wind from the planes across the street, so that was unpleasant when exiting the car. I can't give feedback on how timely the line moved because we decided to take our pictures while standing off to the side of the line. There is no shade so pls be prepared for the extreme summer heat. Maybe bring your own selfie sticks or tripods to take pictures if you don't want strangers handling your phone. Good luck!
google avatar

Ellen W.

Yelp
It's a great iconic place to go. Only minutes from the airport. Definitely do it at night though.
google avatar

Marjorie H.

Yelp
It was an unexpected stop on our way out of town for our tour. But the picture spot is on point. Truly, you can't get a bad angle!
google avatar

Alan C.

Yelp
I was doing an "area 51 tour", and we stopped here before we headed north. When we were at the sign, there was quite a bit of a line to get the photos, and "Vegas fat Elvis" was at the front of the line, to either get a picture with you, or to take a picture for you. (at a fee, of course...) We didn't wait in the line. What we did, was we stood off to the corner of the sign, and our tour guide took the picture. That's what I would've done anyway if I was by myself, as that's what the Vegas pages on the Internet suggested to do. And I'm sure I would've figured it out by myself, anyway. You get just as good of a picture from an angle.... I'm glad I went. I've been to Vegas several times, but have never been here. So, I finally ticked another thing off of my "Vegas bucket list." It's worth the stop.
google avatar

Deana C.

Yelp
This is definitely not the Vegas my parents visited on their anniversary aka my birthday. Extremely overrated, overcrowded, and absolutely overpriced!
google avatar

Mohammed N.

Yelp
Pretty cool sign to see. Pretty cool stuff. Good place to take photos and video pretty cool
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
You can't come to Vegas and not get your picture in front of this iconic sign. The "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign has stood here since 1959. It stands 25 feet tall and is located on the southern end of the Las Vegas strip on a medium. Over a decade ago, City of Las Vegas added parking so people no longer have to cross the road to get to it. Even though the improvements have helped, it did create enough space for even more people to visit the sign. The line to get your photo can get pretty long. This sign is so popular that souvenirs of it are sold all over Vegas. Even though most people get their photo in front of the sign, most never notice the back of it. It reads "Drive Carefully, Come Back Soon". The top of the sign has white neon circles that were designed to represent silver dollars. Nevada is known as the Silver State. The "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign was added to the State Register of Historic Places in 2013.
google avatar

Lesley M.

Yelp
Must do attraction for your first time visiting Vegas in my opinion. We waited in line, snagged some photos with the help of the girl volunteering to help, and then headed to our next attraction. The girl standing by asked for tips but wasn't demanding. The sign is easy to access and has numerous parking spots available. The sign appears to be taken care of, and there's a few stores to walk to close by.
google avatar

Eleana S.

Yelp
Fabulous Las Vegas is truly fabulous! This is my third time here, and I feel really special with my b team. There are many new people willing to capture our memorable photos and videos, and you can tip them anytime! No need to wait in line. or if you don't need to tip then line hehe! Just drink a lot of water because it is really hot when it's summer!
google avatar

Vanessa O.

Yelp
Prepare to stand in line if you want an upfront shot of the sign. Otherwise, you may dodge the main line and get on either side for an angle shot. There is a small parking lot but it might take a while to get in or even find a spot. Walking or getting dropped off may be best... Welcome to Vegas!
google avatar

Cassandra S.

Yelp
Very clean atmosphere I highly recommend taking a photo on the sides and not waiting in the long line! Just as great but less time!
google avatar

Rose W.

Yelp
This is a must in your visiting Vegas! There are people that will take pictures for you but they do go off of tips. They'll take plenty of pictures and send them to you!
google avatar

Harlee S.

Yelp
The number of times I've been to Vegas and have never visited the iconic sign is shameful. Came around sunrise and only ran into about two other groups. If you're not into long lines for picture taking, this is the best time to come since most everyone is sleeping off a hangover. This sign is iconic, but really only worth a one-time visit or even just a drive past. It's super fun for creative picture taking, though, and to show off that you're in Vegas!
google avatar

Clinton B.

Yelp
The famous Las Vegas sign! My wife and I came here for our 1 year married anniversary/Honeymoon and we really enjoyed Vegas! The line was pretty long here and people from all over the world was here to take pics but you can definitely walk up to the side of the sign and take just as good of a pic compared to standing directly in front of it! Definitely have to come to this sign if your visiting Vegas!
google avatar

Kimberly Z.

Yelp
Iconic sign. Very windy over here and cars driving by fast on both sides. Not a lot of parking, but the deux bus stops here going into and from the strip. Lots of ppl were there but there was an orderly line to take pics
google avatar

Travis P.

Yelp
This spot shouldn't be missed if you're visiting Vegas. They have a small parking lot that fills up but a lot of spaces open up since people are coming and leaving. We took some wedding photos here and it came out amazing. There are sometimes photographers that will take pictures for you for like $10. Expect maybe a 30 minute wait for a Saturday afternoon. 100% worth waiting if you can!
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
there was a massive line of people wanting to take pictures which was a little annoying but understandable. I kind of wish the sign was bigger.
google avatar

Mark N. T.

Yelp
I gave it 5 stars because it's free! lol. It was located far from the center of the Strip. If you stay Luxor, you may walk. I used Deuce bus. There were a lot of people. I saw some parking spots, but no one could guarantee your spot.Deuce bus is a better way to go. Someone offered to take a picture. Later, I heard that they asked people to pay tips aggressively after the photo shoot! There are a lot of scams and rip off in this sin city! Anyway, here is a must-visit place!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
The iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign! Be prepared. Sometimes nobody is there and other times there is a long line.
google avatar

Ron H.

Yelp
Iconic.... Be Very careful Sign is located in median strip, and folks are crossing hwy without benefit of crosswalks Take 5 minutes for this experience or wait until departing at Harry Reid and take a jpg of their sign
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
You can park close to take a photo of the Last Vegas sign. It's free to take a photo. When I went at night someone offered to take professional photos. Of course, they go off tips, which to me is worth it. My photos came out beautiful.
