Well Grounded Coffee Community at White Rock

I love everything about this place, it is a warm cozy, friendly environment that welcomes you the same way every single time. The mission of it; it does so much for the community and women, BRAVO !!! The coffee is amazing, the food is amazing and the staff is out of this world. Love it. Below are some pictures. Come and enjoy this place.

With the amount of good reviews I had my hopes up for this place. They put so much ice in my drink it was very disappointing. We asked if the iced chai had sugar in it and they said it did not. But it was very sweet and heavy so clearly had some sugar. And it took a minute before I was greeted as I walked in. The decor is a bit tacky. Mostly I’m just sad about the ice. Three sips and my drink was gone. I think people probably go here for the events and love it for the nonprofit stuff but the coffee is overpriced and just okay. Edit: I gave an extra star for service. I didn’t expect the reply and reimbursement and I am very inclined to give your shop another chance. My sister had a totally different experience here just today so we plan on visiting together again soon. I will update again with my thoughts next time.

Jessica was so amazing. I wanted tea in my coffee cup and she was extremely accommodating. I got the Angry Jack sandwich and it was delicious. If I wasn’t here for a quick lunch I could have easily spent an afternoon. It’s got a welcoming feel, everyone is nice, they had some live music inside and board games. This should be a staple for anyone looking for a cozy spot to read, work, socialize and eat.

This is a very sweet coffee shop. From the moment I walked in the staff was aware and readily available. It's very neat too! If you're "dining" in you can choose which mug you would like! The atmosphere is comfortable and unique, just like coffee shops are. I got the ham and swiss croissant and a vanilla latte and it was good! The mission of the coffee shop is also admirable. They hire and help people who need a break. It is really a neat place and I would recommend! Definitely good for catching up with an old friend!

I've been trying to get here since I first saw the back story on the evening news. I'm so pleased that this little spot is still going strong! In addition to the awesome way the company supports the women of our community, the food is great as well as the coffee, atmosphere and customer service. I had the Quiche Lorraine and a seasonal S'mores Latte. My pre-teen had the ham and Swiss croissant and the white chocolate strawberry latte. All were outstanding. I'll definitely be returning!

Indoor and outdoor work space/ dinning space is very welcoming, warm, clean and relaxing. Friendly service and great coffee!

If you aren't aware of the story of this place you need to. This is one of the best spots in East Dallas. The people, the service, and atmosphere are second to none! Come through, get a cup of joe, hang out and enjoy 😊

Love their mission! Love the ladies that work here, always so sweet. The owner is also very kind and sweet! Shout out to the baristas today. They added a pumpkin on top to my latte and they were so happy and excited and did an amazing job!

Love this shop! I work walking distance so you can always find me here. I post 5 stars, not so much for the coffee of match but for the ladies that work here. I'm SO PROUD OF THEM! The mission for this coffee shop is amazing. The shop itself is cozy and welcoming. I always enjoy coming in and getting great service. The ladies are quick and SWEET! Matcha is great! Coffee is great! But most of all the people are amazing! Ms Natalie is amazing for starting this place and allowing these wonderful ladies to have a second chance at this coffee shop!

We visited Well Grounded because we were looking for a coffee shop close to the Dallas Arboretum. I'm so glad we stopped by! The staff was so incredibly friendly and kind, and service was very quick. The latte itself was delicious. Even better? The mission. This coffee shop "provides women who were formerly incarcerated a chance to change their destiny."

A somewhat solid coffee " VANILLA LATTE ICED COFFEE WITH OATMILK" Good price, tasty beans, good baristas. The place was calming to just chat with friends or read a book! Tons of people of all walks of life just enjoying their mid afternoon coffee. They had an edible straw for 25 cents and that was interesting to try out. It tastes pretty much "healthy" and "vanilla" soak it while you drink your coffee and its a little fun snack at the end. I do not see myself going back, but this is a great find!

Very nice coffee shop. It has a study room you can reserve and use. Our drinks were good. Staff was very kind and welcoming. This place makes you feel welcomed.

Service was very quick and the ladies were super nice! The actual coffee shop is super cute, chill and they have games on each table. The drinks were also very good with them not being too sweet and the ice was crushed which I loved. Will come again!

Nice quiet coffee shop near White Rock Lake with a purpose greater than profit. Helping formerly incarnated women get back on their feet with steady job and encouraging work environment to show how God life can be.

I was riding my bike around White Rock Lake when I started browsing for coffee and other places. I rode by Ascension and I knew White Rock Coffee was close. I randomly found Well Grounded Coffee. I only had a drip brew but I was very impressed by a few things. 1. they had half and half and other "milks." Some places only have milk which isn't to my liking. 2. Instead of paper cups, you choose which ceramic mug you want to use. 3. A lot of the popular coffee shops use really acidic coffee (light roast). Well Grounded had a nice medium dark roast. Their baked good looked good and I will try them. The staff were very personable and helpful. The owner offered to steam my coffee for me so the temp was right. In addition to being a good coffee shop, they have a good cause so I always tip a bit extra.

Best place in East Dallas to have a meeting with a client or friend. Can't say enough great things about this place. You just have to experience it! Food and drinks are great, always plenty of space. They even have a conference room that you can book or if it's available you can use! I've seen someone I know here that I wasn't even intending to meet every time I go bc the love East Dallas has for this place. A weekly visit is necessary.

So many great things to say about this place. Amazing coffee and tea options and flavor! The tea even if you get it iced is freshly brewed you can even see little particles of tea in it. Which is always great because you know it hasn't been sitting there forever. The mini cheesecake was to die for! So tasty so rich and honestly the best little piece of heaven you could ask for with your coffee. Though it is tiny it is mighty! My son and I were able to share it and have a nice sweet treat. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and the inside was very clean! If ever in the area again will definitely be stopping again.

This place was great!! If your want some Instagram worthy content and you love to support business's that have a bigger purpose than theirselves.. THIS IS YOUR COFFEE SHOP TO GO TO! The coffee was great, chai tea... delicious, and Avocado toast... wow . Their mission is to transform lives through a process of work, education, community, and faith. They create opportunities for individuals who are barely surviving in life to reach a higher level of purpose and social contribution.

This coffee shop boasts plenty of cozy seats and has converted two parking spots out front into an outdoor seating area as well. Their mission is a heartwarming one: helping formerly incarcerated women back on their feet! My barista seemed a little nervous when I asked what's good on the menu but she walked me through all the coffee options like a pro. I love that you can select your own reusable mug from a wall of differently designed mugs - they made me a rich and creamy caramel latte which was perfectly paired with a pecan carrot cake muffin. Bathrooms in the back were clean and spacious. Folks from the nearby apartments came to pick up coffees with their dogs in tow. All in all, a cheerful place and great addition to the neighborhood.

OMG I love this place. The coffee is delicious, the women that work there are so sweet and don't get my started on the food. I had an Italian sandwich this morning and engulfed the whole thing before I even saw the pesto sauce. That's how good it was! The atmosphere was quaint and delightful, although I did take my order to go. ON TOP OF ALL THAT IT'S A NONPROFIT and one I happen to believe in. I can not recommend this place enough.

Visited two times and both were a great experience. Good coffee and bakery items as well as it supports a great cause. Plenty of places to sit for meetings if work also.

Just stopped by in my way to the arboretum. The place looks very homey. Great atmosphere! Friendly and fast service! Great coffee too!

The coffee is good and the matcha is good!! I got a iced vanilla latte that was made to perfection. Just the right amount of sweet and the right amount of vanilla. My wife got the matcha latte and said it was great. I love that they are providing opportunities for women in the community! Definitely a place a will go back to and am happy to spend my money at!

Great service! Natasha created a delicious dairy free, vegetarian sandwich, off the menu, so I wouldn't go hungry at lunch time. The trail mix cookie is amazing too. The place has great vibes. I sat on a comfortable couch while I studied for exams. I love the company mission and personal stories of recovery. I saw a booklet with resources for the those who want to help the homeless. I found more than a coffee shop when I tried out Well Grounded Coffee, I found hope.

This was a surprise stop for us, but we are so glad we did!! The people here are amazing and that level of amazing was matched in their coffee and pastries. I had a latte with oat milk. My husband had a decaf honey lavender latte and both were made to perfection. We also tried the lemon ricotta cookies, spiced rum cake (keto friendly, if that's your thing), and a cinnamon roll. All were fresh and delicious. The other thing I love is that they are on a mission to help recently released women that were incarcerated. We need more people willing to help those get back on the right track. Overall, great stop! We plan to stop in anytime we are in the area.

Charming spot for coffee and intimate socializing. This little treasure is nestled in The Reserve at White Rock Apartments. Work spaces are nicely separated for patrons who choose to hang out and get some work done. There's a nice sized table if one needs more space to spread out. Small tables and chairs provide distance and allow for quiet conversation. The decor is homey and comfortable. This coffee shop could very easily become a regular hang out. The menu offers various beverage delights. The all time must have is the keto cheesecake. It's a scrumptious party in your mouth that promises to not leave you with unwanted pounds when the party is over. I'll be back for certain.

I was looking for a coffee shop near White Rock Lake and this place peaked my interest. The atmosphere is very cozy for homework, remote office work, or a meeting. They have "The best cold brew in DFW" and it really is excellent. On top of that, they have a wonderful mission with their coffee and employment. I could share about it here, but it's worth stopping by and seeing for yourself.

A lot of good things here: the coffee, the vibe, the cause. It's also nice and quiet for people who want to work or read. Will be back.

I loved this spot! Many options to choose from and the breakfast items were very filling and delicious! Also, since it was my first time, the server was very helpful and patient while deciding my order!

I was driving to a different destination and saw this adorable coffee shop on my way that I had to make a u-turn and go in! I am so pleased I did! The inside is absolutely darling, the employees are very friendly and the coffee was spectacular. Smooth and creamy just the way I wanted my latte! The interior is lovely and cozy. I highly recommend stopping in.

We arrived just after closing time on Saturday. The two person staff unlocked the door and offered to make us a couple of drinks. My hat is off to these two hardworking employees who wanted to go out of their way to make sure the last customer of the day was taken care of. Thank you.

This coffee house is so warm and inviting. The food and the coffee are amazing and the Keto cheese cake is so worth it. If you are looking for a warm place to gather with friends, relax or even work remotely this is the place.

Such a great addition to this community! The coffee was excellent. The ladies are genuinely sweet. Their mission is beautiful. I had their Iced White mocha latte and it was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet like Starbucks which can put you in a diabetic coma. Love love love this place.

The coffee isn't that good, they don't train their employees well enough and I get the sense that they are not the pious company they claim to be. Not a lot of diversity or training up. It looks like a Baptist grandmas house inside. The food is not worth paying for either. Definitely overpriced.

Super cute cafe near Dallas Arboretum. Outstanding service. You can choose to sit inside - couch, bar, table options - or outside. I had the trail mix cookie; it was soft and delicious with just the right amount of trail mix ingredients. If your coffee is for dine-in, you get to choose your own cute coffee mug. Also had a pumpkin chai latte to go; fantastic combination of flavors.

Well Grounded Coffee is THE BEST! Amazing customer service, fresh food, pastries and coffee and everyone always serves a smile. Met the owners when I went in, very pleasant. I LOVE the fact that they partner with local shops and support each other. Such a beautiful mission and lovely place, the ladies working there are very hard workers and respectful, hard to find these days. The shop is wonderfully decorated and feels like home away from home. The little board games at the tables are awesome, too. A+ !!

This little coffee shop is a " found treasure" in East Dallas!!! My daughter and I visited yesterday and what a delight! The 50's/60's music playing when we entered immediately caught my attention followed by the fragrance of coffee and the decor! Sensory heaven for this grandma! The coffee I enjoyed as we sat lounging near the window was the icing on this very delightful cake! I had the chocolate-strawberry latte' and my daughter enjoyed iced coffee with oat milk. Both of us were beyond pleased with our selections. Our barista, Alex , was charmingly friendly and helpful with suggestions. The decor is comfy-homey that makes you feel like you're visiting a dear friend or family member. The loud, contemporary warehouse feel of most coffee shops is not found here...thankfully!!! This place is pure comfort in a time when our country needs it! Great place... incredible mission. PLEASE don't wait to check it out!

Well Grounded Coffee Company has a great atmosphere and really great, fresh coffee. I am so delighted to have a coffee shop with a purpose I can feel good about supporting. Hubs and I came, enticed with a coupon, but know we will not need another discount to get us back again and again! Looking forward to my next coffee outing here very soon. We both had an Irish Cream and it was perfect, fun and delicious.

Great coffee drinks. Loved having a choice to drink coffee or tea in an actual cup or paper cup. The staff are pleasers and attentive! Wish they had a larger space outside for customers ( currently cafe has 1 bistro table with 2 chairs). But even with tiny outdoor space this coffee house is a keeper!!!!! Returning to coffee house this week !

Customer service was nice, was greeted nicely with a smile and coffee was ready and awesome..... I have to say I'm a Starbucks kind of girl for the strong taste, but this may be my new coffee spot... Its really good!!

We have been here a handful of times and have had nothing but a great experience. I love that you can pick out your own coffee mug when you sit in the café. The baristas are very good! It is for sure a wonderful community vibe. We are especially thankful for them when our internet was out and we needed somewhere to work. They have a cool back room for meetings or for those of us working and needing to take phone calls. Lots of seating for solo workers.

I'm so glad I was in the area- the coffee was amazing, the staff was so nice and personable and asked us how we liked the order, and she gave recommendations and created a great first impression for this coffee shop. I loved the vibe and decorations inside and am absolutely in love with their purpose for the coffee shop and the variety of events they were putting on! This coffee shop, experience, taste, and purpose is definitely memorable. Would definitely recommend and come here again.

SO GOOD! I stopped by here with my friend on their second day being opened, and I'm so happy I did! I got what the cashier, Molly, said was one of her favorite drinks, an iced coffee with oat milk, cinnamon, and honey, and it was Amazing! I also got two of their keto cheesecakes for my mom, and she loved them! It was a super cute and welcoming space, with tons of seating. Everyone there was so nice, I can't wait to go back!

Super friendly! I had a great vanilla late and delicious goat cheese and mushroom quiche. They have big comfy chairs and a welcoming atmosphere.

What can I say? Good coffee, good food, good service in a relaxed atmosphere. We stopped in randomly and will certainly be back.
