One of my personal favourites. The station is along the coastal line. Inside the station there are few wooden seats & cement seats, on which you could relax while your train arives. The views are mind calming. Sit looking at the endless Indian Ocen with endless thoughts. Limited facilities include water, simple wash room. Another highlighting fact is that if you step down to the railroad the sandy beach is just 2 meters away. Some get to the beach if the train is cancelled or delayed.

This railway station is an iconic place in Colombo district because it's the last stop and the first stop going south and north within the district. But the station is dilapidated. Unkempt, dirty and dusty. Bills stuck on walls only in Sinhala language. Nothing in other languages given the notion many tourists arriving to watch the sunset. Passengers waiting for trains are inconvenient because the toilet doors always locked and one must trek to the office to pick up the keys for the door. The train time table is not accurate and its concealed inside the passengers seating are. The station needs complete overhaul. Solicitation is rampant.

One of the busy railway station in the coastal line. Located right behind the popular Wellawatte Beach so if you wanna go there by train, this is the place to get off.

Very good and peaceful place. There is a great view of ocean. and you can enjoy the beauty of the indian ocean while waiting for the train.
