"St. Louis Park’s former Galaxy Drive-In — the retro, bright blue-and-purple drive-in perched on Quebec Avenue, a venture by Rainforest Cafe founder Steve Schussler — has found new life as Wells Roadside. Local hospitality group Craft & Crew has kep the restaurant’s old-school drive-in set-up, but given the menu a distinctly modern bend: Wagyu smash burgers and cold brew floats are served alongside Chicago dogs, loaded fries, and classic, creamy milkshakes." - Eater Staff

Wells Roadside (formerly Wagner's) in St. Louis Park nails the modern drive-in vibe! Very casual - perfect for families or grabbing a quick bite with seat-yourself outdoor seating. 1st time going there: Me, I'd go back for the french fries, fresh-cut, thin, crispy, big portions loaded into a square paper sack. As far as burgers, I suggest the double patty option (singles are thin, smashed burger style) so if you're expecting a 1/3 or 1/2 pound, you have to go for the double or triple stack. Their shakes and ice cream are a special part of the place with their own walk-up window, kids will love it—a great summer go-to. Food came lightning fast at lunch and prices are reasonable when compared to fast food costs these days. They run different daily specials (check out Monday's family deal meals with burger, fries, and drink for only $25). Mix of covered pavilion with picnic tables and outdoor tables. Classic roadside spot with modern updates - exactly what Minnesota summer nights are made for!"

Cute little drive in with tasty burgers, fries, and soft serve! We really enjoyed the Oklahoma Smash (burger) and the Fries w/Benefits (chopped up burger, cheese, pickles, onions, and sauce). The stand alone fries are a little small and didn't have enough salt for our liking. It is all outdoor seating and our dog loved joining us, especially his pup cream.

Ever go to place and pray it’s good? You’re rooting for them? Ever feel like you just wasted calories? Like you know it’s going to be naughty and full of grease and calories… but hopefully it’s worth it? Unfortunately the road ends here for Wells Roadside. 2 people, $60+ bucks plus tip for another Instagram’ish fast casual that has less service & good vibes than fast food ie Taco Bell. Nothing lamer than tipping and having to bus your own table, toss the trash, and clean up the mess. Heck at least Culver’s gives you a number and they bring the food to you while never asking for a tip. You have to wait next to the pickup window because not a single person can hear their order coming since the PA mic barely works. So we stand there like dopes instead of casually waiting for our food at the table. Talking about tables. There are park bench tables and tables along the wall that are so thin you can barely call them tables. It was also cold and we could see our breath. It was 31 degrees today. Pretty much everyone had their jackets on and that’s not fun eating with your parka. They have overhead heaters but it was very spotty. Let’s just say it was uncomfortable and not fun. Finally onto the food. I was excited for the Jimmy sandwich. Ooof not getting that again. Tasteless and just not good. Ordered the Oklahoma burger with supposed wagyu beef. We ordered the single and double. Don’t even waste your time with the single… it’s barely a burger. The burgers were between mid to decent. The wagyu is gimmicky. The bun got soggy fast and the caramelized onions were barely caramelized. Had the fries with benefits too. It was ok and not worth the mess. Gave it 2 stars. Overall poor execution. Price wasn’t too bad. But the zero service and asking for tip is hard to get over. The cold temperature and lack of care of customers left a bad vibe. They are pretty new and hope they get it together. They have multiple other brands of restaurants in the same caliber. Maybe they should focus on one brand one location.

Waited over a year to attend this new joint in St. Louis Park off of excelsior... Formerly, the Galaxy Drive-In... Now Wells Roadside. Root Beer float & an order of "Fries with benefits!". Will order the same thing next time.

I’ve been eyeing Wells since it reopened. We enjoyed a summer lunch out. One burger if the month (mushrooms and Swiss) and single Wells smash, side of fries, and 2 shakes. I was annoyed because I didn’t realize I couldn’t add PB to chocolate.

Google
We were thrilled to hear about a new burger joint with vegan/vegetarian options, so we visited Wells Roadside as quickly as humanly possible. There were definitely a few growing pains, but it has the potential to be an excellent and well-loved restaurant. We ordered two Oklahoma vegan smash burgers with pickles, a side of fries, and a vanilla milkshake to split. The burger was quite good! We’re both vegetarian, so we regret not ordering the burgers with American cheese, but the vegan cheese was actually pretty good. The fries had great flavor but were unfortunately room temperature when they arrived. The shake was delicious and not too sweet. There were a number of yellow jackets on the patio, but they can likely solve that by putting out some traps, and they’ll go away as it gets cooler. The patio was really nice, and the food came super fast. I’m giving the experience for 4 stars, but I bet it’ll be a 5 star experience the next time I go. I’ll definitely be back.

Google
I remember Wagner's back in the 90's so it was fun trying this spot again. Ordered online, no problem, food ready at pickup time, order correct. Good burger, decent fries, excellent grilled cheese, very good ice cream. Got the Wells Double, not quite up to Five Guys, but certainly better than generic fast food. Upbeat family environment. I do think fries should be included with the cost of the burger but cool spot overall, would go back.

Google
9-14-24 Overall, a Great Restaurant! We had the Single & Double Oklahoma Burgers, Smashed Jimmy, Fries with Benefits and a Vanilla Shake w/ Chocolate Swirl. Everything was Delicious!!! All for $37.89 after tax. Very fun, relaxed, family friendly restaurant. Staff was great, very kind and welcoming. A little busier rite now I'm imagining. We got in line at 1:26, placed our order at 2:19 and received our food at 2:26. So exactly a hour to get food. I would imagine the amount of time waiting in line to decrease in the future, once the initial excitement wears off. Either way the food was worth the wait. We found after seeing on two local news channels.

Yelp
There really wasn't anything here I disliked. It was all really great food, with plenty of choices so you can't go wrong. I think my only negative on the food was how it was served. The burgers and fries all came in these paper wrappings, which made it a little bit harder to share. A minor negative, but especially when we're also eating picnic style I just didn't want to run the risk of something spilling all over. As far as service, it is counter service/ordering. They're pretty quick, but don't expect white glove service. The vibes match that as well - picnic tables and benches for seating. I liked that they had covered the seating so it wasn't impossibly cold, but I wish they had turned on the heaters when we went, it was chilly!

Yelp
**** 3/5 VERY MID ***** The service was great! No complaints there. I really enjoy the ambience and the layout of the store as well including the dining area. Vanilla shake was very good! I enjoyed it thoroughly. Has a thicker consistency but is creamy, has that fresh vanilla taste and is overall a higher quality milkshake. Oklahoma Smash Double: supposed to be two smash parties with grilled onions and cheese. Very basic concept but if done correctly can be extremely tasty (pause). The party's did not have a crust on them. They were kinda wet (didn't want to use the word m**st). The meat itself didn't taste very seasoned how ever it wss cooked how I liked it (slightly pink inside) not well done. Due to the dampness of the meat (pause). It caused the bun to be very soggy. As I opened the packaging to eat the burger. The bun did not hold its integrity. I believe that is one of the most important parts in curating a quality burger. The bun can honestly make or break your burger. And I was very disappointed. The onions added a nice touch to the burger (they were caramelized) but became too overwhelming with the bun being a soggy mess, falling apart, and the burger not being seasoned. The fries were fire!! Very crispy, very fresh, salty and has the crunchy exterior and soft interior. That's my favorite combo lol The Chicago wagyu dog was just not good at all. As someone who is from Chicago (south side). I take it very seriously if you try to market our style of food as your own! You better come correct and u did not!! We gotta stop calling everything wagyu first of all. The dog was okay but you honestly can't tell the difference from a Twins game wiener (pause) they used way too much relish in there. The ingredients that make a Chicago hot dog a Chicago hot dog is that each ingredient is proportional depending on what it is and one does not overpower the other. The proportions were not accurate in regards to a Chicago dog so the flavor was not there. The way the hot dog was curated made it a soggy mess. I do not recommend the hotdog here. Maybe I'll come back another day to see about the burger. Fries are a hit and shakes are a hit.

Yelp
Updated! They worked out the kinks that had me give them a lower rating last time. Wells Roadside is fantastic! They have a casual and family-friendly atmosphere to go along with their wagyu burgers, fries, and desserts! The service is friendly and the food comes out quickly! Two months ago when I went you had to order everything at the window, desserts etc. When there is a long line that's pretty frustrating if you want to order dessert later. BUT NOW not only do they have QR codes to order from your table - they also have online ordering and take-out! Bravo!! It was nice to eat my dinner, again fantastic, and then order dessert without having to get back in line!!! Highly recommend WELLS Roadside, even in the winter, it's all enclosed!

Yelp
First time at Wells Roadside and I can't think of a burger that gives you better bang for your buck. I got the Double Oklahoma Smash (double smash patty, grilled onions, American cheese), Hand Cut Fries, and a Dr. Pepper. Everything was very good. I think I was the only person in the seating area without a milkshake, so guessing that's a winner too. Service was quick and friendly, parking is better than it looks from Highway 7, and everything was clean. I'll be back!

Dan C.

Yelp
Burgers and fries? Twist my arm. Ok, I'm in. We got single and double smash burgers and a double with no cheese/bun, etc. for the kids. We got 2 orders of fries, too. One order probably would have been enough as the little sack of fries was deceiving as it does not look that big, but the fries are super thin, so they pack a ton of them into a small package The burgers were very good. Supposedly Wagyu, but didn't really taste like it. All good though, as the burgers were very tasty and not super greasy, which sometimes happens with Wagyu. The fries were nice and crispy/chewy and well salted. There is plenty of enclosed and heated outdoor seating for the colder temps, but I am sure this will be great when all the covers are peeled back for a nice summer evening meal.

Yelp
I decided to try out Wells Roadside after seeing some social media buzz and brought my pup along seeing it was dog-friendly with an outdoor patio. First off, the location is pretty convenient with it being close to the highway. The parking lot is limited, but there is neighborhood parking, which I didn't have trouble with. For the food, it's relatively inexpensive. I liked the crisp bites on the fries and burger was pretty tasty. The pup enjoyed his treat as well. I was too full to try any drinks and dessert so that will be for another trip. Lastly the service was great. They were friendly and the food came out quick with barely a wait. Overall, it's a great casual spot to get food quick or catchup with a small group.

Yelp
Went during the weekday for lunch. Solid prices, high quality food and very quick service! Patio was heated well for winter too!

Yelp
First of all, I love the transformation compared to the last place that was here! They have a very cool and modern indoor dining area that has both fans and heaters, to accommodate all seasons. They also have some tables outside for the warmer months. I was pleasantly surprised that this is no longer a drive in like the last restaurant. When you get inside, you can order for either dine in or take out. The good: it is very kid and dog friendly, similar to the other restaurants owned by the same group. We also really liked the soft serve which can be served in a cup or no one and you can select a syrup flavor as well, if you want. Also, we all loved the French fries! We ordered 2 orders of fries for 4 people but we could barely get through 1 order, so the portions are generous. The not so good: as I mentioned, this place is very kid-friendly, when we were there each table has at least one kid. It would be nice if they had a kid's meal type offering which makes ordering easier. And finally, and this part makes me sad, the burgers and hot dogs were mediocre at best. I had the Oklahoma single - overall good textures but there was a very odd smell and flavor - not sure if there was too much pepper or some other seasoning but it wasn't good, I only ate about half of it. The burger was also a bit on the underdone side, which is unusual for a smash burger. Also, the hot dog was strange - the cut the sausage down the middle, which is fine but unexpected and the hot dog bun is covered in poppy seeds, which is not appetizing and unnecessary. Overall, we tried our best to power through the burgers and hot dogs just so we could get to the best part, the ice cream. We will probably be back for ice cream but that's about it.

Yelp
We've passed the creation of Wells Roadside all summer, so when it finally opened, we were ready to go! Plenty of street parking. Limited space in the parking lot, but not much they can do about it. Hopefully the sidewalks stay clear over the winter for easy access. The food was very fast and affordable. We really enjoyed the French fries. I got the salad, which was delicious! I wish there was a vegetarian burger option that wasn't fake meat - perhaps there will be a black bean burger in Wells' future? My partner ordered the Oklahoma Smash and really enjoyed it! My highlight was the Cold Brew Float. I felt like it was a must get since it is unique. I was worried it wouldn't be too tasty, but once the ice cream melted a bit, it was delicious! We have plans to come back and try some of the alcoholic drinks and other ice cream treats in the future. We are particularly looking forward to the heated interior once it gets colder outside. We would recommend Wells for a quick, affordable meal!

Yelp
Had to try out the new drive in spot by Craft & Crew. Overall delicious food, but a couple things that could improve. HOW TO GET THERE Google maps took us to an exit instead of the entrance, which was annoying. We turned our car around on the narrow residential street to go into the correct entrance and I submitted my suggestion for updating the entrance on google maps. When we parked, we weren't sure what the cone symbol meant in the spots, so we just parked in an open spot with the symbol. Still not sure if that's a cute symbol or if it means ice cream customers only. ORDERING Waited in line at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday for 15-20 minutes, and it was difficult to see the menu. It would be great if the menu was posted in other places than TV screens just above the ordering spot. There's only one cashier and spot to order, so combined with the one menu it can take a while for customers to order. The service was very kind and obviously doing their best to get everyone through. I saw the cashier let the couple in front of us preorder their ice cream so they didn't have to come back and wait in line again for 20 min - that would be a great option to add if they can hack it. PRICE We ordered a double Oklahoma Smash with pickle, single Wells smash LTOP, a side of fries, a side of fries with benefits, a fountain drink, and a regular shake. Without tip it came out to $40. A single burger is only $5.99, but to get extras like tomato, onion, pickle, it costs extra, along with fries not being included. I liked that they had mayo as a self serve spot in the back, and that there were dog bowls and water available for free. FOOD The food was great! We devoured it all pretty quickly. If you've been to Stanley's, The Block, or any other Craft & Crew spot, you know the quality of the food is 5/5. AMBIANCE The amount of bugs around was a bummer. We were constantly swatting flies and wasps away, and that led us to leave sooner than we would've otherwise. It's an outdoor restaurant so you expect a bit of this anyway. A good amount of seating and fairly accessible for people in wheelchairs or walkers. Fun seating choices - you can choose between tables with chairs, high tops, or picnic tables. No photos because it was packed and didn't want to post people without their knowledge!! RECO? All in all, it was fun and I do reco it. Looking forward to seeing how they improve. Maybe try it for lunch or not during the dinner rush if you'd rather not wait in line!

Yelp
We've seen this place all over social media because it's a new spot that opened up, so we decided to check it out. This building has a beautiful design, and the service was good. We visited on a Friday around one in the afternoon, and it was busy, but we were able to find a table. However, the food is just okay. We got the Oklahoma burger and the blackened salmon sandwich. You do have to order your fries and drink separately. They charge for refills on the soda, and there are two separate lines for the food and the drinks. The fries are just fries; and I'm not entirely sold on the fry sauce. The highlight of this visit was the Margarita. It was strong, had a bit of a spicy kick, and was a decent size. Additionally, this food is very inexpensive, but parking is limited. We did have to park on the street.

Yelp
Wells Roadside is a HIT! Kudos to the owners of this for coming up with a simple, focused plan and then really executing on it! This place bills themselves as an affordable burger joint with great food at really reasonable prices. It is all of that! The burgers, fries, and ice cream are great. Lots of room for such a small lot and they have worked hard to get you in and out as efficiently as possible. Prepare for a long wait, though, until the newness wears off. Interest seems off the charts. A great new option for Saint Louis Park. Thank you!

liliana h.

Yelp
Wells has an amazing crew, great service, and amazing food that's bang for your buck! I come here weekly and have never once been dissatisfied. The vibes in here are always so welcoming :) Wells employees, hats off to you!!

Yelp
Super excited for this new addition to the neighborhood!! Right off Hwy 7 in SLP where galaxy drive- in used to be. The new spot offers good classic smash burgers, waygu hotdogs, vanilla soft serve, beer and root beer floats at great prices! The lines were pretty long which is to be expected on opening day! Loved seeing all the local support show up! It felt like they moved along pretty quickly tho and was impressed by the service. When you order there's a window to pick up drinks and another one close to the dining area to get your food. This worked well tonight I was able to enjoy dessert first while waiting for my burger and fries. I ordered the Oklahoma burger and was sad to see the onions missing from the burger but I was order 344 so that's quite a lot orders they took for day 1 and I'd definitely go back once things die down a bit. They offer extra toppings for about $0.50 and some awesome sauces like dill sauce and fry sauce if you're looking for something a little extra. I also had the vanilla soft serve wells style which I loved the whipped cream sprinkles and cherry on top. You can get different flavors added to your soft serve that gets swirled in. I think next time I'd go hot fudge or caramel but the butter pecan was nice just felt a little light. Next time I'll have to check out the cocktails or the root beer old fashioned ;) I loved the fireplace area and turf also the open format as there was a nice light breeze outside. Neon lights, Picnic tables and chairs completed this pup friendly restaurant!! Can't wait to come back for more!! (Also loved that owner David was there to greet customers and help pass the time in the lines!! They offer a nice loyalty program too that's good across the cast and crew restaurant family!

Yelp
Late-night at Wells and we had a great experience! We arrived at around 8:45 on a Thursday and easily parked out front with no line to order. Service was super friendly and food came out quick. I ordered the caramel cheesecake milkshake and split some fries. The milkshake was good, I appreciated that it was real cheesecake and not a flavored syrup. The fries were the best part of the night though, they were amazing and both of our favorites! We'll have to come back to try the actual food menu, but for fries and shakes the price was affordable, food was tasty, and seating area great to hang out at!

Amanda N.

Yelp
WELLS Roadside is a great dog friendly restaurant. We tried the Oklahoma burger, wells smash burger, Chicago dog, and the fries. Loved all the food we got and definitely will be coming back to try more of the menu! Service was quick and enjoyed the overall ambiance. There are limited parking spaces and can get busy.

James S.

Yelp
I love this place!!!! It does get very busy but so does Disneyland and people still flock to it because of how great it is! The food is delicious and i highly recommend trying something different every time. We had the double burger, Fish burger and the pickle fries thing. Also the self serving station has a mayonnaise pump!!! Nobody ever has mayo!!! I'm so excited just for that lol. The owner of this place is very friendly as well. He came around to check on everyone to make sure that everything is going well. It's not too loud here and they have an enclosed area for when it gets cold. I cant wait to be back!!!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
1) super easy to order, parking is a little bit annoying but there decent motor Street parking around 2) We really enjoyed their burgers, full of flavor and easy to customize 3) seating is all outdoors, Im curious in how they will handle winter

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Ended up at Wells Roadside for lunch just before running some errands. Luckily I came at a time where the line wasn't that long but by the time I ordered the line had tripled. I would suggest having a 2nd cashier for efficiency. I ended up ordering a double Oklahoma burger with a regular size strawberry shake. I thought the burger patties were juicy but could've been more flavorful. I enjoyed my shake the most though. All in all, the restaurant has a nice concept, decent food, and yummy shakes.

Claire H.

Yelp
Good value for a good burger! Very dog friendly - water bowls available & pup cup on the menu. Since I went on the second day it opened, it was an hour wait in the long line. All staff were very friendly and the other friendly customers in line made it a quick wait. I highly recommend for absolutely everyone - families, dogs, friends. It's a cute place with a simple menu. I would love to come back and try the soft serve ice cream - it looked amazing!

Sydney P.

Yelp
Finally got to visit wells roadside and I was not disappointed. The food was good and an even better price. We had the salmon burger and the double Oklahoma burger and I would suggest both of those to anyone that comes! The best part is that they have a heated indoor patio that is going to stay open all year long. Dog friendly as well!!

Brooke R.

Yelp
Worth the wait! Of course opening week was going to be busy, but even while waiting in line the service was phenomenal. We chatted with other people waiting, saw cute dogs, and even had a drink while waiting to order. Once we placed our order the food was made quickly. The burgers and ice cream really are delicious, and the patio is so cute. Definitely can't wait to come back!

Carmen J.

Yelp
Fun ! Nice fire pit dog friendly and kid friendly Loved the prices! I had the Chicago dog yummy and a little bit spicy which I loved

Aj L.

Yelp
Today was my second time trying WELLS. First time was great, loved what they were going for and had very minor nitpicks. I boasted to a friend of how great everything was so we went back today. Right off the bat I noticed they changed their fries from a sack to a small boat, barely filled. I ordered a single burger and fries with benefits. My buddy ordered a double burger with regular fries. His little boat was maybe a handful of fries. I also want to point out everything is a charge. Toppings 0.50 a piece, sauces $1. I decided to try their dill sauce and was given a miniature plastic sauce cup filled 1/4th the way. I went up to the service counter and brought up my concern and wasn't given a response. Kind of a grunted and then grabbed me another one. To then give me a cherry on top I pulled a hair out of my mouth when eating the fries. Attached is a picture with the hair before the damage was done. I get what this place is trying to do and appreciate it, however the quality was really all over the place and it felt different than the opening weekend and not in a good way.

Yelp
This is a copy of the email I sent weeks ago to one of the owners at Wells Roadside. I still haven't heard back from anyone. My name is Ronald Henderson, and I've been a loyal customer at your St. Louis Park location since 10/8/25. I have taken several friends along to brag about your restaurant. As the author of a bestselling customer service book, I've used Wells Roadside as an example of exceptional service. After my first visit, I gave you a glowing review praising your outstanding food and staff. Recently, I brought my friend Joe, a longtime business owner here in St. Louis Park, to show him what makes your place unique. Sadly, this visit turned out to be a disappointing experience, and I feel it's important to share what happened. Our order was messed up twice--not a significant issue in itself. Mistakes happen, and I approach them with understanding. I even mentioned to the female employee helping us that maybe someone was just a little tired, hoping to convey that I wasn't upset. To my surprise, she reacted very defensively, raising her voice and saying, "Don't you ever tell an employee they're tired. Do you realize how demeaning that is?" Her tone and demeanor were unprofessional and unnecessary, especially since I meant no offense. When I calmly explained that I wasn't upset, she slammed the window on me mid-conversation. It didn't stop there. When we arrived, we had to wait several minutes before anyone even took our order, despite no other customers in line. The overall atmosphere wasn't what I'd come to expect from Wells Roadside. I even mentioned to another staff member that I've been spoiled by the incredible service and food I've always received. Unfortunately, this visit didn't measure up. I value everything Wells Roadside represents and have admired your commitment to quality. However, I can't justify returning to a place where I feel disrespected, especially when bringing someone like Joe, who is also a supporter of local businesses. Plenty of dining options are available, and as much as I've enjoyed your restaurant, I don't have the energy for negative experiences. I hope you'll address this matter with your team. Wells Roadside has been a shining example of excellent food and service, and I'd love to see it return to that standard. Thank you for taking the time to hear my feedback, and I hope this helps you ensure that no other customers have a similar experience.

Jada M.

Yelp
During my most recent visit, my fresh fries were removed from the bag and replaced with them with fries that were sitting under the heat lamp. I saw this while waiting for my food, I brought it up to the employee and argued with me that those fries are just as fresh as the ones that were previously in my bag. If that were the case why take them out my bag. I saw them sitting there since I ordered my food. She refused to give me the fresher set of fries and asserted that they'd still be warm because they're under the heat lamp. Be aware when you're ordering that you may not have the freshest food!

James V.

Yelp
The team at Craft and Crew has done it again! After living in St. Louis Park for more than 10 years, I've seen operators come and go at the former Galaxy Drive In. In my experience, the diner, despite its welcome colors and easy visibility from highway 7, has spent more years closed than open. Given the track record of others, I was cautiously optimistic when I heard Craft and Crew was taking over the site and after stopping last weekend I can safely say the former Galaxy is truly out of this world. Wells Roadside offers a wide menu of typical fast food offerings, but also upscale salads and a handful of alcoholic options. Clearly a hit with locals, expect to have to park far away even during off-peak hours. Popular with families, given the loads of ample seating, and excellent customer service. Be sure to give Wells Roadside a try!

Jack Q.

Yelp
Order the Double Oklahoma Burger. You're welcome. Amazing burger at a fraction of the price of lesser burgers in town.

Charlie P.

Yelp
Quite a wait to get your order but the food came out in a reasonable time. The burgers are wagu which we honestly weren't a fan of, seemed undercooked and bloody and fatty. The fries were good and crispy. The soft serve we got the chocolate flavor blast, which added minimal flavor. Seemed ridiculous to have to pay $1.50 for a single slice of tomato, one leaf of lettuce, and a sliver of onion. Limited parking. The pup cream was a hit for our dog. The dog seemed to like this place the most honestly.

Esther B.

Yelp
My fiancé and I both got burgers.... They were good. His burger was better than mine. I have a canned wine that was yummy. The patio was so warm and enjoyable in the winter.

Shannon N.

Yelp
Wells Roadside is nothing impressive. Nothing was impressive about the food. Taste-less burger, soggy bun. I asked for tomato...and my goodness...the two wilted slices looked as though they came from a purse...not a food safe cooler. The fries are greasy, bits curled and some are too hard to eat. There's nothing about the $18 dollar meal that makes me want to eat here again. One and Done.

Patrick H.

Yelp
I knew what I wanted before our first visit this past week. The Chicago Dog and it didn't disappoint. The hand cut fries were outstanding as were the variety of shakes we shared. Two in my group had the smash burgers and they really enjoyed them. The girl who worked the register was great. Friendly, helpful and polite. Great for a first impression. We all commented on the awesome dining area. Clean and comfortable. Next visit will be an evening and will involve maybe a beer or two along with some nice dinner with the family.

Yelp
This is an update to my review back in September. I went there for lunch on a Tuesday. There were not many people there. I know I was worried about going there on a 25 degree day but the temperature was very comfortable. No issues with the temperature. The food was once again delicious. I had a single Wells Smash, fries and pop. Very reasonably priced. Don't worry about going in the winter. It is very comfortable inside. I'm putting them on my weekly lunch rotation.

Yelp
Saturday evening around 7 PM we stood in line for an hour, but the weather was nice, and there was an interesting mix of people and dogs there and they were pretty slow in getting the food out, which was a surprise - burgers and fries don't take that long especially since that is what they're making the whole time. The burger was pretty good, but the bottom of the bun was soaked in so much, it was hard to peel it off the foil wrapper. The fries were cold, but were pretty good. A few other guests went back up to the window to complain that their order was wrong, but that can happen in new openings. Still, it's pretty straightforward to assemble burgers, right? I'd go back, but not on a Saturday night or any other rush-hour time of day/evening.

Yelp
I would recommend going at off "eating" hours because their lot isn't big (there is parking in the neighborhood though) and there isn't a lot of seating. Went here for the Oklahoma style burger...a little disappointed. Meat was good and cooked well. Too many onions and they were shredded instead of sliced thin, it was just harder to chew down. The loaded fries were really good! Overall, just ok.

Yelp
Great food! Food was prepared quickly and exactly as we ordered. Both the fries and burgers were enjoyable and a great value for families. Will definitely be back, especially as the weather improves. Grateful they are open year round

Yelp
Not quite sure what has changed in the last two weeks our so, manager or owner used to be there daily checking on guests and service has definitely took a turn for the worst. I live just down the street. Was promised signs I never got to help with the awful parking. Food is always as is- just okay

Yelp
Also went last Saturday evening around 7 PM. We too stood in a long line for nearly an hour, the weather made it more tolerable. Thinking back on the wait, we could have driven the short distance to their other nearby location, probably had much the same food, and been done in the same time it took just to order here. Good News: Drinks were speedy, although, for their mainstay, burgers and fries (shouldn't take long) were slow in getting those out, perhaps thaat was that by design to get you to order another drink? The burger was pretty good, but the bottom of the bun was soaked into the foil wrapper so much, it was impossible to peel it from that foil wrapper. Important Warning, be careful, we found rock hard/bone like particles mixed in with the burger, enough to certainly chip a tooth or? ! The fries were rather few and colder, but the ones there were, I'd rank pretty good. McD's are fair better. Based upon their feedback, I might go back, but never on a Saturday night or any other rush-hour time of day/evening, they're just not able to handle that, although the crowd was still far less than their seating capacity. Not a hopeful sign. They promote you can eat in your car, not sure if or how that could work. PS: Poor neighbors, they have to be hating this. Some have already put up their own restrictive street parking signs in hopes of having or saving any space for their own home street parking.

Yelp
Parking is still horrible at this drive-in for the many years I have come here. Order was ready fairly quickly (we came in the middle of the day on a Monday). The food was fresh and delicious although the hamburger was medium rare but no one asked my husband how he wanted it done. The fries are good. The salad was good but not worth $10.00 (with salmon). (It was kind of small. TGI Fridays has a club salad that is 3 times the size for $15.00 and is very delicious.) Both the salmon and the lettuce were $4.99. The server who took the order couldn't hear us, didn't know info about the salad, and told my husband he HAD to pay a tip. I have sent a note to Wells as well. I would probably not go back as I would need to order a salad and it's not worth it.

Yelp
Mixed review here. The staff was pleasant. But, $9.99 for the Vegan Burger is ridiculous. It is a small fake meat patty, with cheese on a dry bun. How about some veggies; like tomato, lettuce, pickles, sauce, something..... While waiting in the dining room for our food, there was a large dog with its' owners (yes, dogs are allowed). All was well until the dog saw another dog. It went nuts. It barked loudly and the owner couldn't get it to stop. The owner looked angry and yanked the dog out the door. I love dogs, but I don't care to dine next to them. And they are dogs, they bark. I don't think allowing dogs is a plus. I would only go back for the shakes and variety of soft serve flavors.

Yelp
Food wasn't done all the way everyone doesn't like uncooked meat I was excited to taste these burgers and if this is how they make them they need to ask customers if they want it well done or not

Yelp
$10 for a smash patty on a bun with room-temperature unmelted cheese. No other fixings. Seriously almost asked for my money back. Show some respect for your customers by not charging extra for things a normal cheeseburger has. Not even taking the time to let the cheese melt tells me you don't really value your customers' experience.

Yelp
Oh dear! We wanted to like this as we loved Wagers. Marginal food- French fries were in small broken pieces , overcooked and dry. Salad was tiny. Soft serve was bland . Heat overhead was like being in a sauna. Would unfortunately definitely not recommend.

Yelp
Reflecting on what was great anticipation, that became great disappointment. The service level and quality of food was poor at best. Two sodas, a French fry, a burger and hotdog = $30. The only cashier they had, was unfriendly & soft spoken, and provided little detail, direction and didn't even ask if I wanted anything beyond the blaze' burger. There was considerable wait which I suppose is to be expected with the excitement and fanfare of a new restaurant. Our fries were virtually cold. The burger was reminiscent of hamburgers served in middle school by the lunch lady. The patty was thin, flavorless, and anemic. Made me think of the old Wendy's commercial "Where's the beef!" I'd rather have gone to McDonald's. For the record, I dislike McDs! Attempted to get a refill and waited at the counter (had to ask the cashier how to get refills upon ordering). Having to get refills at the small window where people are all stuffed in like sausages is unreasonable and poorly planned. After waiting 4 minutes, I gave up. My wife went and waited 5 minutes with no response and then went to the pickup window to be treated RUDELY by an employee. Redirecting her to other window, offering zero assistance. So much for customer service. It's evident their process and training needs to be revisited. You've got more work to do. Needless to say I never got a refill. We had to park two blocks away. Am sure the neighbors absolutely love all the traffic. Parking lot is inadequate. As I said, a total disappointment. We will not be back. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. I wanted to love this place.

Yelp
Couple things. First, it's great that there is finally a good restaurant here! I came on a sort of chilly night and you could not tell what the weather was like outside because it is very cozy inside. Don't be afraid that this used to be a drive-in because they have done a great job of keeping it open feeling yet toasty. Couple things that could be improved upon. First, I had the margarita on tap. the flavor was fine, but there wasn't much in the glass. They filled the glass full of ice and it's probably only a 12 ounce or maybe even an 10 ounce glass to begin with so not much cocktail for $12. second, the onions were not carmelized! very stringy and I couldn't chew them. Flavor of the burger was excellent ! I'll give it another try and hope these things will be tweaked.

Yelp
It's fast casual burgers and fries, so they need to figure out wait times. Should be moving at in-n-out pace, but waited 20 minutes in line and left before putting in an order since the line wasn't moving and they had only called out 2 order numbers in that entire time. Other people also left before ordering due to wait time as well.

Yelp
Atmosphere is wonderful. Staff are friendly. Shakes and the root beer float were flavorful. Hamburgers were tasty but the beef patty is thin as paper. Maybe 2 or 3 ounces. I recommend ordering the double burger and the single is more for a child under10 years old. We ordered 3 single burgers, one double burger, a pup cup, one regular fry, a root beer float, chocolate shake and a pumpkin shake(all regular size). The bill was 75 dollars. (Almost 20 per person with sharing one fry and sharing one of the shakes)

Yelp
Went on their 3rd day after opening. Crazy busy. 45 minute wait to order -- what can they do with so many people wanting to try them out. But less than 20 minute wait for good. Impressive. Owners (who own several restaurants including The Block, a favorite of our's) were working trying to make everyone's wait as easy as possible. Much credit to entire crew for pumping out the volume of food and drink for the non stop line. Now to food. Burgers yummy. Juicy. Hot. Delicious. Had Oklahoma style and regular. Has Chicago and regular hot dog. Meh. Fine. But I'd stick to the burgers (or try other items). Fried really good. Shakes solid. Prices are just right. Hope they stick around.
