Although I don't come here as much as I used to, Welton Room is still one of my favorite places in Denver. The Five Points bar and restaurant lounge takes hospitality to a whole new meaning. And they haven't skipped a beat since opening six years ago.
The cocktails are creative, gorgeous, and progressive with their presentation. The dining space is comfortable and luxurious. The food is crafted meticulously and appropriately priced. And the service is second to none, maybe the most gracious in the city.
I cannot recommend Welton Room's weekend brunch enough. I took my wife here for her first Mother's Day, along with her grandma and our young son. The experience was flawless.
Not Your Everyday Paloma ($15) // tequila, aperol, elderflower, grapefruit, lime, sparkling pink grapefruit. This is an elegant take on a paloma. It's a PERFECT brunch cocktail.
Raspberry Beret ($15) // gin, raspberry puree, elderflower, white cranberry, lychee, lemon, egg white. Silky, stunning, and wildly delicious. Men, don't be afraid of ordering a brightly colored drink with a flower garnish. It's a fantastic fruity cocktail.
Steak and Eggs ($29) // guajillo sauce, fennel chimichurri, fingerling potato. I want to eat this meal every single weekend. The steak and chimichurri combination is lethal. The perfectly cooked eggs, the addictive potatoes, oh my goodness. YES YES YES!!!
Though I didn't eat my wife's Chicken and Waffles, I've had it once before and can attest to its deliciousness. Same goes for their classic French omelet with rotating ingredients. Finding a proper one is easier said than done, and you can tell the chef has been executing these for years and years.
I've gotten to know Champ and crew over the years. They are beyond passionate about what they do. They are doing really special things here. If you're looking to ball out on brunch or expertly made cocktails, Welton Room needs to be towards the top of your Denver food and drink list!
