The Welton Room offers cocktails made with liquid nitrogen in Five Points | Eater Denver

"I've learned that in Five Points a new inventive craft cocktail bar will open in early April at the base of The Lydian apartment complex under Chokedee (Champ) Buabucha and Jorgé Ortega, with theatrical, modern-technique cocktails as the focus. One highlight is the Empress—made with Hennessy cognac, yuzu juice, and ginger purée, then drenched with liquid nitrogen so its consistency becomes akin to melted sorbet and can be eaten with a spoon. They also use Grand Marnier foam (topping a simple margarita of tequila, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and agave, finished with fresh orange zest whose aroma "fills the room") and build martinis on a base of cotton candy that becomes part of the cocktail when poured; martinis will be made to customer preference. Daytime offerings will include La Colombe coffee and pastries from The Source and Denver Central Market, but cocktails remain at the heart of the concept; Buabucha and Ortega—who previously worked under José Andrés at The Bazaar in Beverly Hills—say this will be different in flavor and ingredient but similar in method. The 30–35-seat space on the first floor adjacent to The Lydian lobby will allow guests to drink in or carry cocktails into the lobby, and Buabucha expects an early-April opening with a friends-and-family discount during the first week." - Georgina Rupp

Ad Hominem closes in Golden Triangle | Eater Denver

"A new ground-floor bar in the Lydian apartments scheduled to open mid-April, led by Los Angeles bartenders Chokedee (Champ) Buabucha and Jorge Ortega; it will focus on playful, experimental cocktails — think cotton candy martinis, cognac sorbets and other inventive drink offerings." - Susan Stapleton

Google
Review for the monkey room / espresso martini bar — This place is so fun! Small room with a large bar top and some couch seating for bigger groups. Visited for the espresso martini options and all the flavors were very interesting. We had the hazelnut (strong but good), red velvet (rich, unexpected flavor), pumpkin spice (amazing presentation), seasonal limoncello (my second favorite espresso martini ever), and the bartenders gave us a small classic one for free to try along with our flavors. They had their Halloween decor set up which was so fun but truly the energy of the bartenders made the night for us. They were funny and interactive and I wish I got their names but one kept offering us an edible glitter spray on our drinks and it was such a blast. Highly recommend!

15/10 this place was amazing. The drinks were top tier, no doubt. But it was the people that were the most amazing. The owners are the most caring passionate gentlemen, they care so much about what they’re serving their guests. Then there is the host. He just made the evening so special.

I'm in Denver visiting my bestie and she made reservations at the Monkey Lounge at the Welton for espresso martinis. This place was beautiful! The staff were amazing! The atmosphere was elegant and fun! We spent 2 hours and I would absolutely come back every time I'm in town. The drinks were a visual treat and all were delicious! We had food that paired well with the espresso drinks and we couldn't stop eating. This was a fantastic spot to sit for a few hours. Highly recommend!

Had a quick stop in at the Walton Room Bar and Kitchen. Got a little discombobulated with where to find the entrance but once we got in, the staff was friendly and the vibes were great. Decent appetizers but the drinks were delicious. They definitely get points for presentation. Would love to come back one day for their brunch menu and cocktails. Now for my standard comments. Location is clean and well kept. Indoor seating is comfortable.

This was the best way to cap off the night with great friends. The music was good and not overpowering our conversation. The drinks were perfectly balanced and smooth. The bartenders are top notch! My friends actually went back again after I traveled back to Atlanta. Definitely will be recommending to all my friends, especially my professional ones!

Excellent drinks! If you enjoy tasty cocktails, this is a hidden gem! Jorge is definitely a people person. Great chill atmosphere and very tasteful music!

Google
THERE IS TWO BARS. WELTON ROOM and MONKEY BAR @ WELTON. My review is for the monkey bar! It is connected to a condo lobby and businesses and share a lobby with other businesses. It’s behind the Welton room! We went on a Wednesday night. Don’t recommend for large parties at all. Very cute date place though! My friends and I stopped by a drink! It was so chill, very small bar, only had 2 staff! Very chill. Don’t be in a rush if you’re going here, it’s laid back even though very aesthetically pleasing. The espresso martinis are legit and sooooo delicious. Not like the disgusting liquefied flavor coffee like most places have. I would go here again only on weeknights!

Google
Great spot if you are an espresso martini fan! There was 2 of us, we tried the flight, biscoff martini, Dubai chocolate and ube martini, all were amazing and the whipped coffee/toppings were a great addition. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I have gone to both the Welton Room and the Monkey Bar Espresso Bar and both time the service was amazing, and the staff were so nice. We tried the espresso martini flight and it was the perfect after dinner drink. They were not too sweet that you couldn't finish all of them- just the perfect amount. The bartender also gave us a sneak peek at one of the fall items (caramel apple) and we will be going back for the fall flight for sure!

Yelp
HUGE bummer that Monkey Room is closed on Mondays. I didn't realize they had separate hours until my friend and I showed up. We were really looking forward to experiencing their espresso martini flights but ended up enjoying delicious drinks in their main space. There were even $10 mini martinis for happy hour! Their shooters are actually AMAZING, especially their Butterbeer one. We also tried the Golden Dragon. Can't remember which mini martinis we ordered, but vibes were classy and chill. Service was lovely. It was pretty empty on a Monday night, as expected. Would definitely come back again and try for Monkey Room!

Yelp
The drinks were SO good. Found this place from tik tok and so glad I did! Such delicious drinks and the service was so great, everybody was friendly, kind and attentive. Def will be back!

Yelp
This is for their Monkey Room! Got the campfire espresso martini and was worried it was going to be a tad light given the color of the drink, but it didn't disappoint. The whipped coffee cream was so delicious with the strong coffee and it's dairy free! I also liked how the texture was thicker, almost a gelato consistency but not quite there yet. Found out there's a 3:1 ratio of espresso shots to Vietnamese coffee(?!) which is probably why I loved it. If caffeine hits you quick, maybe not the best drink if you want to sleep since it kept me awake at night.

Yelp
Omgoodness, they did not disappoint. We went for the flight of espresso martinis, yummmmm. I have to say my personal favorite was the Red Velvet, but they all tasted so very good. They even had one with bourbon, which is a different twist on the espresso martini. We are definitely going back. It is a small spot that you enter just west of the entrance to the restaurant. #weltonroom, #espressomartinis

Yelp
I have to keep updating my reviews because sadly my experiences keep going downhill each time I go. I really want to love this place because of the drinks/atmosphere, but the most recent time I went was a let down. My boyfriend made a reservation for after dinner drinks for our anniversary, and we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks after we ordered. Then we were told they made our drinks virgin. So then we had to wait again for the drinks with alcohol.

Yelp
Although I don't come here as much as I used to, Welton Room is still one of my favorite places in Denver. The Five Points bar and restaurant lounge takes hospitality to a whole new meaning. And they haven't skipped a beat since opening six years ago. The cocktails are creative, gorgeous, and progressive with their presentation. The dining space is comfortable and luxurious. The food is crafted meticulously and appropriately priced. And the service is second to none, maybe the most gracious in the city. I cannot recommend Welton Room's weekend brunch enough. I took my wife here for her first Mother's Day, along with her grandma and our young son. The experience was flawless. Not Your Everyday Paloma ($15) // tequila, aperol, elderflower, grapefruit, lime, sparkling pink grapefruit. This is an elegant take on a paloma. It's a PERFECT brunch cocktail. Raspberry Beret ($15) // gin, raspberry puree, elderflower, white cranberry, lychee, lemon, egg white. Silky, stunning, and wildly delicious. Men, don't be afraid of ordering a brightly colored drink with a flower garnish. It's a fantastic fruity cocktail. Steak and Eggs ($29) // guajillo sauce, fennel chimichurri, fingerling potato. I want to eat this meal every single weekend. The steak and chimichurri combination is lethal. The perfectly cooked eggs, the addictive potatoes, oh my goodness. YES YES YES!!! Though I didn't eat my wife's Chicken and Waffles, I've had it once before and can attest to its deliciousness. Same goes for their classic French omelet with rotating ingredients. Finding a proper one is easier said than done, and you can tell the chef has been executing these for years and years. I've gotten to know Champ and crew over the years. They are beyond passionate about what they do. They are doing really special things here. If you're looking to ball out on brunch or expertly made cocktails, Welton Room needs to be towards the top of your Denver food and drink list!

Yelp
First time trying Welton Room and it was great! The decor and seating was classy chic with pops of color everywhere which i really liked. My friends and I went for their brunch menu which is from 11am - 2:30pm. I ordered the Classic breakfast: 2 eggs, potato smashers, house made focaccia with fruit preserves on the side, house ground breakfast sausage. It was all not only delicious but very filling. My favorites were the crispy potato smashers and the house made focaccia with the fruit preserves. I could eat those two all day every day. If you have been to the Welton Room only at night (I heard that is when most people go), please check out their brunch as well! Looking forward to visiting again. .

Yelp
We walked in randomly on a Saturday and was greeted right away from the manager. He asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't and explained that there were tables being held for reservations. But he managed to find a place for us and asked if we could move to the apartment lobby if the party showed up before we left. We were totally okay with that. We glanced over the menu and My husband and I decided to share the espresso martini flight - Autumn edition. This came with a pumpkin spice, caramel apple and butter because martinis. They arrived on a board with the Nightmare before Halloween decorations and it was probably the best presentation I have ever seen for a cocktail. Each one had unique flavors and cute little garnishes. It was nice to sit back, relax and sip on such delicious drinks. My only complaint is I will say this place is pretty pricey. Overall fun to stop in for a drink.

Yelp
Checked out the Monkey Bar at Welton Room on a Saturday night. The bar is not attached to the actual Welton Room for dining, you will have to go around to the residential doors to check in. Having a reservation is a must! It's a tiny, vibey area that gets packed quick. Especially this weekend we went, all reservations were booked! They specialize in Espresso martinis but they do have a wine list and a couple cocktails. Everything was delicious and creative but TBH they all tasted the same. Just espresso martinis in different forms. The Ube flavor was nonexistent to me and mostly tasted floral from the topping. I was super excited for the Dubai chocolate but it also lacked the taste of pistachio. Super disappointing that the "Dubai chocolate" was actually just a Kit-Kat with chocolate drizzle on top. Definitely misleading but our group had a good laugh! Overall not a bad spot to gossip and chill for drinks. They have a small tapas menu too.

Yelp
Made a reservation (granted, we were a few minutes late arriving) and the hostess was very condescending and made it a point to let us know that they were very busy and we would need to be out within a 2 hour time limit. She brought us water and one menu for a table of 3. We then sat at the table and waited to be greeted or acknowledged by anyone else for 20 minutes. The bar was busy, but with only a handful of tables, the one server and the manager seemed to be more occupied with bussing tables than greeting us, let alone people who came to the door. We were really excited to try this place and disappointed with the lack of hospitality. We ended up going next door to the Monkey Room and they accommodated us and we had a great experience there!

Yelp
Went here for brunch - even though it is better known as a cocktail bar; but let me tell you something- the brunch was excellent. May I even go as far to say the best tasting brunch in downtown/five points? Yes, the potato hash and the French toast were both excellent you can tell everything here is made from scratch and attention to detail is well balanced. Platings are delightfully presented and the right balance of sweet and savory. They have a nice rotating menu. Will definitely be back. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Bathrooms are swanky. Gives me art deco vibes especially with the black jaguar statues scattered throughout.

Yelp
This review is for their Monkey Room cocktail bar, around the corner from the restaurant! Ever since I was here two years ago and had this amazing matcha cocktail presentation, I've been eyeing to come back. It looks like they've found their niche in espresso martinis and I'm here for it. We were seated at the bar and I immediately zoned into the ube espresso martini. Presentation was still on brand and came in a cute ceramic cup with dried flowers on top. Very delicious and strong.

Yelp
We have gone to the Monkey Bar at Welton Room twice now and our group has agreed we will not be giving them any more business. While the ambiance is neat this is truly a Instagram trap and is not worth your time or money. High prices ($20+ per drink), extremely slow service and drinks that are super sweet and don't have a whole lot of flavor. The first time we went we tried the espresso martini flight (the only ones we liked were the salted caramel and the Tirimasu). We also tried the hazelnut espresso martini with whipped coffee which was just alright. On our second visit most of us had the seasonal pumpkin spice espresso martini which took nearly an hour to come out and was way too sweet (think PSL gone bad). The service was extremely slow both times despite them not being super busy. Although the staff was apologetic it was still frustrating since the reservations are only two hours long we only had time for one drink on our second visit. The system (or lack of system) they have for the bar tab is atrocious. We watched numerous staff members shuffle through stacks of credit cards kept at the register and then heard them asking other customers what the name on the card and showing them multiple cards to see if it was theirs. We were pretty sure one of the bartenders/staff was drinking on the job as well. Blatantly drinking out of an espresso martini that he kept tucked behind the mixing machine they use for the whipped coffee. Please save your money and pick one of the numerous other bars downtown. We won't be back.

Yelp
Always a blast! Watching Champ work his magic is like witnessing an artist at work. Seriously, it's never a dull moment! This time, we indulged in some amazing cocktails and bites: Tiramisu Espresso Martini Japanese Melon Tangerine Sour Antera Negra Tequila Botanist Ramos Gin Fizz Botanist Dirty Martini Pan Con Tomate Market Provisions

Yelp
They never disappoint! From the service to the drinks and even the food! Everything is always delicious and never too sweet (especially the Ube and biscoff espresso martini!) perfect ambiance and such great staff. Love this place

Yelp
This is a cool spot on Welton street for great mixed drinks. I am loving the libations and there are tapas to eat. I ordered a mojito and an extra spicy margarita. My friend had a butter old fashion. All of the drinks we ordered were well mixed, super tasty. The service is on point. The space is well lit during the day due to the big windows. l enjoyed the green seating and the overall theme of the lounge. Happy to hear House music because I am a House head. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
My daughter and I visited the Welton room for cocktails before dinner and it was a fun experience! The atmosphere feels both luxurious and a bit extravagant, with velour seats, leopard-print carpet, and even a panther statue. The cocktails, like the decor, are imaginative and Instagram-worthy, with liquid nitrogen and other creative touches to make them spectacular. Not only did they look amazing, but they also tasted fantastic! The service was professional and friendly, adding to the overall experience. They also have a kitchen and offer tapas, I'd be curious to return and try the food.

Yelp
While we did not eat the menus looked inviting. A quaint and comfortable spot on Welton beneath a residential building a friend and I stumbled upon. We just wanted cocktails and their website had a pic of Espresso Martinis. When we arrive we were asked about reservations but then seated at a sofa and table by the large window. We ended up with a tequila version and a good one I might add, of a espresso martini. So good! The waiters were attentive and attractive . Will ho again for a leisurely evening cocktail and bite to eat.

Yelp
The drinks are incredible here! I got a reservation on a Saturday night for the monkey bar with my friend. It definitely got busy as the night went on. There were so many unique cocktail options - I had such a difficult time trying to decide what to try! I ended up going with the ube martini and was more than impressed with my drink. My friend got one of their special biscoff martinis and absolutely loved it. It was so large that she had a difficult time finishing it all. The staff were very friendly - we did have to wait some time before getting our drinks which is understandable with how bougie the drinks are and how busy it was. I'm already planning my next visit back!

Yelp
Monkey Bar is located next door/behind Welton Room. Martini flight is a win-win-win!! 3 deliciously different espresso martinis and I can't neglect the eclectically cute presentation. The esthetics of the bar is a whole vibe and the music, perfect! Check it out, ASAP!! If you happen to go to Welton Room, get the mussels , ask for Marcus, he'll let you know!

Mikayla L.

Yelp
Owners are amazing ! The espresso martini flight was so amazing , not overly sweet and the presentation was just as impressive. So hospitable , first time in Denver and would recommend it 10/10 again

Yelp
The Welton Room is very moody. The dim lights create a sultry ambiance that draws you in. Cozy seating. Good music, great drinks. Their cocktails are intentionally crafted! The service was quick & attentive. We had a great time here on a Sunday evening. Enjoyed a few cocktails and talked. The music isn't overwhelmingly loud, which makes for great convo levels. I'd recommend this spot for a good cocktail in Denver. The truffle fries were good, but not the best I've had. Expect to pay around $16-$19 for a craft cocktail. I would definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to the espresso martini bar within the Welton Room a couple times now. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks are unique and amazing. Try one with the whipped coffee! Great atmosphere. A good place to go for a drink with the girls or a date!

Yelp
When I saw photos of the drinks here, I knew I wanted to add this bar to my itinerary. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of espresso martinis, so when I looked at the menu online beforehand, I decided I would try the Japanese melon. Sadly when we arrived and looked at the menu (which said it was a Valentine's day menu, even though it wasn't even February anymore), I noticed the drink I wanted was not on it, so I asked if they could make it but they said they couldn't. When we ordered, they asked for a credit card to hold, which seemed a bit odd for a sit-down cocktail bar; it felt like they didn't trust us to pay. We noticed they didn't ask this from other guests who arrived after and sat near us. I ordered the winter campfire flavored espresso martini with whipped coffee, and my friends ordered the Dubai chocolate version. The drinks definitely look pretty, but taste-wise were a bit disappointing. As part of my drink's presentation, they torch the star anise and marshmallows, but for the marshmallows, it ended up that a few got fully burnt and others untouched, when it would have tasted better if all were lightly toasted. The Dubai Chocolate was really just a kit-kat with some pistachio drizzle on it. The drinks were a bit difficult to consume since there was a lot of ice which made it difficult if you tried to mix the coffee foam with the liquid. The martini itself was extremely sweet; I usually prefer sweeter drinks, but this was way too sweet for me. Overall, some cool looking drinks, so if your goal is to take a nice photo, could be worth trying, but for the taste, I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
Welton Room is absolutely divine! There's two spaces with each different areas. My first introduction was the Monkey Bar at Welton Room. It is in the lobby of an apartment complex. It's a bit small, but they will always try to find space for if it isn't too busy. The Monkey Bar has the best espresso martinis flight! It is marvelous as each is a different creation based on the season. The bigger area, Welton Room, is nice for brunch. Every cocktail there is specially crafted with unique flavors and presentation. If you're up for something fun, order the Sunday Bath Tub. A lovely fruity tropical drink that you can split with your group. I will say the drinks are a bit pricey, even for Denver. Though, I would say at least go once to experience their Espresso Martini flight! Street parking is usually abundant, but can be tricky at busier hours. The Welton Room is a nice treat once in a while with fabulous drinks and sweet owners!
google avatar

Derrick S.

Yelp
The drinks here are simply amazing! They're not only delicious but also presented in an artistic way. The atmosphere is great, with polite staff and excellent service. I had the martini flight, which was beautifully presented. The Dubai Chocolate Martini was also incredible! This is a great spot for brunch or a cute romantic date.

Yelp
Saw this place on tik tok and it lives up to the expectations! We ordered the espresso martini with whipped coffee and a macaron on top. It was amazing but so much caffeine. My boyfriend has an extremely high caffeine tolerance and was buzzing. Perfect kick start to the night. The taste and the whipped cream was one of the best espresso martinis Ive had. We then tried the saffron espresso martini. I wasn't a huge fan it tasted like you were eating flowers. I'm not really sure what saffron is supposed to taste like because i never had it but we just ended up ordering the first drink again after. Overall this place is worth the hype! The price is very reasonable for an espresso martini with that many toppings and that size. Will be returning here!

Fun place. Small plates to share.Good date night spot or fun ladies night out. A bit pricy for the small plates but it was all good.

Yelp
The Monkey Bar at the Welton Room is an adorable bar with exceptional espresso martinis. The menu consists of several different flavors that accompany a traditional espresso martini. I selected the tiramisu martini and it did not disappoint. The care and precision taken to prepare each cocktail is noted and appreciated. This place was very busy at 3pm on a Saturday, so reservations are recommended. Sitting at the bar is highly encouraged as well so you can observe the intricate martinis being made- and it is definitely something to see. Will definitely go back and try another martini or the espresso martini flight that they have as well. The servers were amazing and attentive as one would expect from the Welton Room.

Yelp
Went back to try Monkey Bar at Welton Room which is known for their espresso martinis. I appreciate a bar that sticks to a concept and perfects it. From their espresso martini flight to the 12 other cocktails on the menu, the bartenders take great care in the creation of their cocktails. It was a pleasure to sit at the bar and watch the detail and ingredients put into their beautiful martini glasses. A fan of tequila, I opted for their Olive Oil & Pink Himalayan Salt Espresso Martini. It was a smooth blend of coffee and tequila, with a hint of salt that was balanced with the sweetness of the olive oil. Staff is friendly and even brought us some of their in-house spun cotton candy to sample. Will definitely return!

Yelp
Absolutely one of the most incredible cocktail experiences of my life. A must do. It's very small so definitely get a reservation. Cocktails are about $16-20 but for the craftsmanship and quality, worth the price. We got the whipped coffee espresso martinis, the dark side, and Midnight in Japan. Each one was fantastic. The whipped coffee espresso martinis are gorgeous and the whipped coffee was light, fluffy, and delicious. Plus they each come w/ a macaroon! The Midnight in Japan is a stunning drink w/ glitter in it! The biggest highlight was the Dark Side. WOW what an experience. They smoke it at the table - you must get and experience this drink!! Service was incredible - we had a few questions. Please be patient as each drink is made by hand and takes time. Probably one of the best cocktails I've had in the country, honestly. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Denver. Don't sleep on this spot!!!

Yelp
This weekend brunch should be packed. Delicious meal. Great cocktails. Good music that was just loud enough to set a mood without being too loud you couldn't talk. Folks should embrace this spot. The staff were also great. Find this brunch spot asap.

Yelp
Okay so this place has a sneaky good brunch! I noticed the theme throughout the menu was pear so I rode that wave. I started by ordering the riviera maya cocktail which is tequila and prickly pear with black lava salt & Pink Himalayan salt. You know when you have something good and your eyes get big? Yeah, that was this drink. For brunch, we had steak and eggs, chicken and waffle and burrata. There was nothing bad to say about any of these items. The chicken and waffle had a chorizo butter that really set it over the top! For dessert, I had panna cotta. The presentation of it was beautiful! And then we finished with Sundays bathtub (but with tequila instead of vodka) which was the cutest thing ever! I definitely would come back!

Yelp
Are you looking for a chic weekend brunch spot where you can dress up and have some of the prettiest cocktails in Denver? Welton Room is the spot. Craft cocktails are combined with a lush lounge, featuring modern American dishes with a global twist that will keep you coming back for more. The girls & I dined here for brunch over the weekend and had the best time! We arrived and were seated in the main dining room on lovely velvet banquettes. The owner Champ & his staff were incredible (we loved them). They ensured we had everything we needed while we dined and had stellar recommendations - they really knew best, and we let them lead our brunch experience (and we're so glad we did). We started with Sunday's Bathtub cocktail. Sunday's Bathtub was made for 2-3 guests with vodka, elderflower, strawberry, & lemon. YES PLEASE. This cocktail was so refreshing & fun (we loved the little rubber duckies). The Raspberry Beret was made with gin, raspberry puree, elderflower, white cranberry, lychee, lemon, & egg white. This was our favorite cocktail; the white cranberry really came through & each sip was velvety in character from the egg white. The Riviera Maya was made with tequila, prickly pear, lime, black lava & pink Himalayan salt. Another gorgeous cocktail that had summer written all over it. The Not Your Everyday Paloma was made with tequila, aperol, elderflower, grapefruit, lime, & sparkling pink grapefruit. This was a solid paloma with a good balance of citrus notes & bitter-sweet tang of aperol and grapefruit. The Nexpresso Martini was made with vodka, espresso, coffee liquor, coconut milk, & honey lavender syrup. The teacup the Nexpresso Martini was served in was lovely. This was an indulgent drink that combined the bold flavors of espresso with smooth vodka and sweet coffee liquor. The French Omelet was made with hollandaise, sausage, & peppers. This is the best omelet I have had in Denver. The eggs were cooked on low heat for an extended period of time giving them a rich taste and making them fluffy & lusciously creamy in texture (also the side potatoes were unreal, and we couldn't get enough). The Brioche French Toast was made with thick-sliced brioche and topped with sweet fruit. The Benedict was made with avocado, hollandaise, roasted tomato, & fresh pita. This was a delightful twist on a standard benedict; the fresh pita used instead of the usual English muffin provided a different texture. The Pita Bread was soft, slightly chewy, and absorbed the flavors of the other ingredients nicely. The Steak and Eggs was made with ahi panca, fingerling potato, & pickled onion. We all swooned over this steak; it was cooked & seasoned perfectly. The eggs were sunny side up with runny yolks (a classic).

Service aside, this was a five star experience for food and ambience. Feels like a rich setting that encourages fun., Small intimate settings that help give you some isolation from the hubbub. In our neighborhood, a quick three block walk down Welton Street. Bar and food on the north side and a smaller more sophisticated lounge experience on the south side. Separated entrances fyi. Drinks are very interesting and top shelf priced. We liked the Nexpresso Martini and Green Global. So good. The duck fat old fashioned stunk and the White Russian was a bit too sweet but very unique. Drinks average $17 each. We had a fantastic cross section of the menu. Standouts were the truffle fries, crisp and delicious. The meatballs were super flavorful. The market board was delicious. The lavender cheese was a standout. Croquettes were flavorful but a tad soft. The pasta dish was so much better than expected but it's a hefty lift of $26. We ordered the karaage chicken but it never came and we ended up being full anyways. I would say the less than favorable mention goes to the staffing situation. Our server disappeared mid meal and we flagged down another server to help us with another round of drinks. The place was packed and fun and vibrant. Disappointed we haven't been here before tonight. I will say that they under charged us for drinks but never delivered everything they billed us for so I think it was a wash. Despite all this, we had a good time, loved the food and want to give it another try.

Yelp
We made reservations (highly recommended) and were seated promptly. Friendly staff and attentive server Sara made our experience good . Our group indulged in 8 expertly crafted cocktails, each one delicious. The Japanese Fried Chicken was decent, while the White Truffle Fries impressed. Note: be prepared for extra charges for add-ons like sriracha aioli. The well-designed space is perfect for dates or large gatherings. A must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts!

Yelp
It's a cozy environment that's quiet enough to have conversations. Drinks are creative and one of a kind. We tried the clarified White Russian which was innovative and delicious. Service was great - very friendly and attentive staff! Food was good but only offered small plates - no entrees

Yelp
This place is cute and so are the drinks but a few things need improvement... -Different menus online vs in person and no indication that the kitchen is not open the same hours. We went there not wanting to drink on an empty stomach and were handed food menus, then to have them taken back when he realized the kitchen wasn't opening for a couple more hours...bummer and would be nice to have kitchen hours clearly indicated online. -The menus need to be better/more descriptive, and the staff needs better knowledge of them. Someone else next to us was also confused as to what drink was what (from their social media posts) and the bartender straight looked at this man and said, "I've never gone on our instagram a day in my life ‍". Okay, well that's something you should be aware of, especially if that's the main way you are bringing in customers?? Again, the menu wasn't specific enough to know what drink you were getting with which garnishes without having to ask. -Another menu issue: my "original" drink came with peppermint candy canes crushed on top. They had a peppermint drink that I did NOT order but again I was confused when I had crushed candy canes on top. The bartender insisted it was the original - fine. But some people have aversions to peppermint so it shouldn't be on there if not indicated. The drink itself was fine. The garnishes and presentation were the best part. I got the whipped coffee and it was kinda bitter. Maybe a personal preference, but I would have preferred a little sweetness added to the whipped coffee topping vs plain black coffee taste. -Lastly something I'm not sure if I can get over or is even okay by health standards... They hand make the chocolate dipped garnishes - great, cute. However, they melt the chocolate in a fondue pot thing that sits nearly on the floor. It's underneath the bar and we watched him crouch down coating garnishes with chocolate...but like why not on the main counter? Just didn't seem like an appropriate place to be preparing food a few inches off the ground.

Yelp
I loved this place! In a slightly weird part of town but absolutely loved it. Their takes on cocktails are all spot on and didn't have a bad one. The selection of food is all delicious and pricing is great. Spent almost 3 hours there was having a great time. I always recommend reservations but I wasn't able to make any in time but was still able to walk in for two here. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
What a fun experience!!! I've been keeping an eye on this place via instagram and made a reservation during a red rock visit. My friend and I came on a Friday night around 8pm. It was located on the quieter part of town and inside an apartment complex. I've been determined to get the espresso martini flight and it was amazing!!! The whole flight was $35 and I was happily buzzed for the night. My friend also got a cocktail and the presentation was on point! Will definitely be back on my next Denver trip.

Yelp
Fantastic place! Lovely ambiance, excellent drinks, good service. It's a little hard to find the entrance at nighttime because the door is darkened, but the entrance is definitely those doors on the corner where you think it's not an entrance.

Yelp
The servers literally told us what drinks were instagramable (we didn't even ask) and then when said drinks arrived to us and they had to use the flame or dry ice there was no warning and they seemed annoyed we would want a video. Seemed so odd since they told us?! Chic spot with prices to match. Overall ok but service is lackluster and disinterested considering the pricey drinks.

Yelp
The espresso martini bar section was really good. The ambiance was cute but small. Service was great and drinks were exceptional. We got a taste of all the martinis there and my fav was the pumpkin, hazelnut and martini flight. Parking is on the street and the bathrooms are upstairs. Make reservations

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. It was highly recommended by a friend and I'm glad my boyf and I checked it out. We just came for drinks (which were 10/10!! Best espresso martini I have ever had), but the food at the surrounding tables both looked and smelled delicious. All of the workers were very friendly as well. Great environment for conversation without hearing other peoples conversations around you too and chic decor that's not over the top

Yelp
We started off mistakenly going to the wrong bar, also called The Monkey Bar, which is nothing close to this establishment. Once we found the right place, the bar itself is actually located behind the Welton Room. Our bartenders Wit and Champion were absolutely great hosts. My fiancé Biscoff Espresso Martini and I got myself an Old Fashion. Drinks were great but what really made our night was the humbling conversation we had with Wit. I hope he reads this and will take our advice in treating himself and give himself some time to enjoy Colorado as we did. He told us how much he works and doesn't have much time off and for someone that hardworking to be soo very kind and warming, he deserves to enjoy life. Again, thank you Wit and we hope to see you again! Please leave a big tip!!

Yelp
Came here for the espresso flight. They have 8 different versions to try but the martini flight is a set 3. My favorite of the 3 was the martini with cognac and black sesame. They also offer small bar bites. The bartenders are kind and attentive. The location is smaller and called Monkey Bar but also Welton Room so make sure to ask so you don't go to the wrong side.

Yelp
Welton Room is great for a fancy-ish brunch!! All of the food we got was great, the eggs benny (can't go wrong), the omelette was one of the favs and the fried chicken sandwich! Had to get the bubble bath drink for fun, perfect for 2-3 people depending how tipsy you're trying to get. The interior definitely has more of a night vibe but I really liked the furniture and the design.

Yelp
The happy hour is the best. You've got $10 mini martinis and the bartender makes an amazing dirty martini. The staff was beyond kind and helpful. The food was surprisingly good, with great options for happy hour and plenty enough to split with a friend. We got to sit in front of the giant windows and watch the snow fall and it was kind of an ideal week night.
