Wendy’s Menu Will Bring Frosty and Baconator to Reading Restaurant | Eater London

"A U.S. fast-food chain returning to the U.K. with a planned site on Magdalen Street in Oxford as part of a broader expansion push. The brand is best known for its Frosty dessert, spicy chicken nuggets that many reviewers call genuinely spicy, and indulgent burgers like the Baconator, and it has built a high-profile cultural presence through attention-grabbing social-media stunts and snarky online marketing. The relaunch follows a pullout from the U.K. in 2000 and is tied to long-running plans to use Britain as a beachhead for growth; however, the chain faces criticism over low starting wages, resistance to industry-worker protections (including refusing to join the Fair Food Program), and union and Fight for $15 organizing among its workforce, which temper enthusiasm about the opening for some locals." - James Hansen

I honestly think this may be my new favourite fast food place in the world. The sour cream jacket potato was delicious. The burgers tasted like real human food and the prices were very reasonable. Great milkshakes too. Though the burgers were not as square as I expected haha!

Can't rember how many years I had Wendy's last time, probably more than 25 years ago! Saw this in Oxford and definitely want to try! Arrived at around 11am on a Friday morning, quiet quiet. It's quite spacious and clean. Nice staff and the food is tasty, although it was slightly slatier than other fast-food chains in my opinion. The milkshake was great too!

Wendy’s is fantastic - Good Food, Good Value for Money and Efficient Service. If your coming make sure to get yourself a Frosty and Chips and dip the chips in the frosty 😉 The service is done via screens or at the counter and food is served efficiently. The only thing really that could be improved is the toilets they are not the cleanest most of the time.

It was our first time trying Wendy’s, and we were genuinely impressed! The Classic Single and Classic Chicken sandwiches were absolutely delicious — full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The Frosty was the perfect treat for the warm weather, and the Buffalo Chicken Bits were a standout: crispy, packed with flavour, and just the right amount of heat. Service was quick without sacrificing quality. Shout-out to the gentleman at the window — polite, patient, and handled everything like a superhero. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I'm from the US and love Wendy's. Brought my English husband here for the first time and we both enjoyed the food. Keep in mind when you order from here that it is fast food so can't be compared to a regular restaraunt offering burgers. The food here was tasty, served hot and very quick. It was what I expected except for one thing - The UK's chili here is better than the US version. We wish they had more Wendy's located around the UK but we'll be back when in Oxford, it's interesting to try US fast food in the UK as yours here always seem fresher. Cheers.

First time I encountered Wendy's and decided to eat from there for dinner and the vurgers and fries were quite delicious, the restaurant as well was quite nice and had a great atmosphere to it. Shame that there are not that many of these restaurants in the country, but hopefully they can open more in the near future across the country.

We visit this place for first time and our experience was not the best. Not better then any other fast food places...kinda waste, mcdonald and kfc and all the another fast food are already here so why add another one...everything nothing like the picture...frozen ,straight from freezer bag to deep frying..no fresh nothing ..just the lettuce maybe...only nice surprise was there chicken nuggets, not so ultra processed like any other ones..kinda nice. Also nice surprice they frosty ice cream/milkshake..what ever that is... is nice also...probably the only solid items on menu. I would probably not come back.

The food was delicious and fresh, with my order prepared quickly and accurately. Overall, this Wendy's exceeded my expectations in every way, providing an excellent fast food experience.
