I'm honestly a bit disappointed. I'm used to Wendy's in the US, and this was just a sad reminder of how poor local management can ruin something that I have been looking forward to. The place is less than a year old and it looks neglected in terms of the food. The burgers were somewhat soggy, one drinks machine was broken, the other served only lukewarm flat drinks, no ice available. I'd recommend the US HQ to review the state of the place.
Despite being in the center of reading, it was really empty, a bunch of teens were sitting there using foul language without ordering anything while waiting for their bus.. it just made me feel uncomfortable to even be there with my wife & baby.
I rank it up one extra star for the service, the local staff seems to be doing their best, the waiting time was minimal, and I did get some chilled cans after asking. The interior is also ok.
If I had some US friends coming over, I would simply recommend them not to go, to avoid disappointment. I'd also tell my British friends, please give Wendy's another chance when you get to visit the US.
