The food and service is superb! The waitresses are so kind and patient. The ambience is cozy with a touch of elegance. We enjoyed high tea and then also stayed for dinner to celebrate our birthdays. Great family time! Time well spent.

My first thought on my birthday the past 10 years has been my mom. Probably because she was always the first call I'd get. The one thing I haven't found that even comes close to hers is French Onion Soup. I'm like Goldilocks and I want it just right. I don't want to taste sherry and I don't want stinky cheese. Little did I know when we chose Plat Du Jour Bistro at Wenham Tea House today that I would be blessed with almost exactly the same as my mom's. It was just perfection, absolute perfect balance and depth of flavors, tons of onions adding a nice bite and plenty of gooey gooey cheese. If you are a clam lover, their chowder tastes like a forkful of clam/potato/bacon that's been cooked in cream and butter 🤤😋 a true New England clam chowder that let's the star ingredients shine. The gnocchi was pan seared crispy outside and pillowy inside with fresh crispy peas and mushrooms. Fish n chips can't be made any better. A huge filet fried golden and flaky moist inside. I could eat this every day of the week. The house tartar takes it to another level! It's a beautiful spot with absolutely delicious food. So glad it's where we chose to go today!!!

Went for brunch. Services was great. From the time you entered the door until you left. Our server was attentive but didn't feel rushed. The food was fantastic. Pictured is the lobster hollandaise which was a special and the French Toast in challah bread. Both were delicious. I gave a four cause while I have no complaints there is always room for improvement. We would definitely go back.

What a lovely place! Attended a shower here. The food was amazing, the tea was excellent, the service was on point. Very much Old New England charm. Plenty of parking (on-street is no problem) and the grounds are gorgeous.

As a married guy who is far more likely to have a stout or a scotch in front of him than a cup of tea, this was a fun trip with my wife. It was abundantly clear I am not the target audience, but the inclusion of beer and whiskey on the menu made it clear they were trying to catch a wider net. The lapsang souchong I ordered was delicious. It's Harney and Sons tea, so if you've had it before, it's nothing new. The food was amazingly well done. Curry chicken salad is a new favorite of mine. Some of them were off putting (mushrooms), but overall it was a lot of fun and delicious.

Brought my 3 to here for tea and she loved it. Amazing food for both adults and kids. A fantastic and friendly atmosphere. Really can't recommend this place enough! Had such a wonderful time

owner and staff are warm, welcoming , caring and promote an atmosphere of wanting you to feel at home. Food is delicious and there is a great deal of flexibility to adjust orders. Geeat place to spend with friends or to have a party!

They have very rude customer service. I would never go there again. Please avoid this restaurant

It took a couple of days because of work stuff, but I wanted to make sure you all knew about Plat Du Jour Bistro on Wednesday nights. My husband and I went on Wednesday because their special is prime rib - and it's his fave. I just wanted go because I love to support a local business that is getting some great reviews! What a cool story of how the oldest tea house in the country became a French bistro! And wow, we are all lucky it did! I told people that I was going to the Wenham Tea House for dinner. They said, where? Where is that? And a tea house for dinner? Yes!! We started with some appetizers - stuffed mushrooms special for me and clam chowder for him. The mushrooms were outstanding, and while chowder was a little thinner than he usually likes, it had so many fresh clams! My husband is a bit of a prime rib snob, and this one did not disappoint! He said it was cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely. He will definitely be back. I got the the seared scallops with pea and asparagus risotto - it was amazing! Some chile oil drizzled on the dish gave it just a touch of heat that brought it all together. We did have some wine with dinner, but we were too full for dessert. We opted for an after dinner cocktail instead, and for all you espresso martini fans, this restaurant has the best one around! It's dark and you can smell the coffee. It's served with a side of Bailey's whipped cream and some beans for those that like it on the lighter side. The service from our server Sydney was excellent, and as I watched the other server, proprietor, chef, hostess and bartender through our dinner, they were all amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the white table cloths are both classy and classic. And of course, the restaurant overlooks a super cute courtyard with tables for al fresco dining. Our experience was incredible, especially for a guy that doesn't like to travel outside his comfort zone. Thank you for a wonderful night out!

We held my daughter in Law's baby shower at WTH and they did an amazing job. First of all the venue is perfect for a party of any kind. The staff went over and above to make sure everything was flawless. And the food was incredible! I can't wait to go back for dinner!

This establishment is amazing! Small and quaint with amazing drinks and food! The staff and owners are fabulous and it's great to see them all make an appearance in the dining room. I had a delicious s'mores martini and their beef Wellington! Would highly recommend! In fact cannot wait to return to try their scallops and risotto! Oh and I taste tested their French onion soup and OMG! Sooo delicious.

Four of us had very disappointing lunches. The Charcuterie was blah looking and tasting. The French Onion soup was ok. The strawberry/spinach salad had too much dressing that overwhelmed the greens. Strawberries were tasteless. Always easier to ask for more dressing than to put on way too much initially. My Italian friends had never tasted gnocchi as bad as the ones served here. The asparagus was charred and had to be sent back to the kitchen. The butternut squash raviolis were drenched in oil and/or butter. We gave a "B+"for the Chocolate Mousse. For the prices charged, it was inferior food. Have no intentions to give them another chance. It's very difficult to prepare such poor lunches from a chef with a French cooking background.

Coq Au Vin was amazing. Delicious cocktails by Spencer. Excellent service. Can't wait to go back.

All these years...and still my favorite north shore chef the chips have become a family's favorite that we share every time. We've never had a bad meal, or dessert. Always delightful service, and the tea house setting is so cozy. In the summer they have outside seating as well. Not an easy time to staff a restaurant but they're making it work. H looking forward to next trip home!

Let me begin by saying that we have spent many holiday events- Christmas traditions, celebrated Easter and Mothers day over the years at the Wenham tea house - Things have changed since Henry's had sold the business- The people that purchased the business after Henry's ownership, our experience was less than best so we took a 2 year break-- this past week I kept thinking about how special this place has been to our family and understanding there was new ownership decided to give them a very excited try for Easter Sunday--- 1st of all our reservation was at 10:30 am we were the only people there for 30 minutes-- We did have a pleasant waitress-- we ordered -- When the food arrived that is when the issues began- Quiche- was served cold and looked store bought Avocado Toast - the soar dough bread was not toasted and missing the farm egg - and cold French Toast and Strawberries - French toast had been precooked was also cold on delivery -and came with 1 aged strawberry- Food did not match the menu description at all- Because of all the multiple food issues, the "Manager-we later found she was the owner" took over the delivery of the food- she became very argumentative and defensive - She accused us as being "Nasty" - When I questioned her on this verbiage she said they have only been open 1 week - I suggested they close and open when they are ready- This put her in a tail spin- she comped our meals (that we never ate) and told us she didn't want us in her restaurant- - We left The Wenham Tea House -Very Disappointed and Sad- This ownership is NOT AT ALL UP TO THE THE REPUTATION AND STANDARDS OF THE HISTORIC WENHAM TEA HOUSE--

Love it here. The service is great and they keep it very traditional which I loved. They also offer bubbles and add on shot to your tea which they select based on the tea variety you've chosen. Each person gets their own individual tea pot and they definitely keep on top of refilling the hot water

Had brunch today it was amazing. The drinks are out of this world. The food was just as amazing. We had a party of 6 for brunch we started with the lobster Neapolitan and the waffle tiramisu as shareable for the table. The Benedict's with crab and salmon was unbelievable and duck hash was amazing. If you are on the north shore try this place. And oh by the way they serve a proper English high tea

We had a lovely lunch here for a family gathering. The restaurant has been nicely updated and the dining room was full of light on a less than sunny day. The staff could not have been nicer. I had the croque monsieur which was delicious. Others had the fish and chips, quiche, gnocchi, and the roast beef sandwich. Everything was very good. We had to wait a while for our plates to arrive, but we were all served at the same time and our dishes were hot. Three people had the chocolate mousse for dessert and enjoyed it very much. Can't wait to go back for dinner and maybe sit out on the lovely patio.

My husband and I really enjoy the Tea House! Brendan and Melissa do a great job. Everyone is so friendly. Susan, the hostess is great as well as the servers. We had a wonderful meal of salads and salmon. Nicely prepared with green beans and jasmine rice. Delicious!! We are looking forward to our next visit there!!

We had such a lovely time here coming for afternoon tea. First off, our waitress was so kind and walked us through the menu, giving us suggestions on tea selections. And these selections were amazing! We highly highly recommend trying the Paris or the Spicy Chai, both full of flavor and just a truly comforting cup of tea. We preferred to add milk and sugar to ours, but was definitely fine on its own for those who like their tea more simple. The afternoon tea spread was absolutely delicious. The scones came out warm from baking and all the sandwiches were cute and tasty- my favorite being the ham salad. They were super accommodating to my but allergy and adjusted the desserts to be nut free. The entire experience was just a breath of fresh air. I loved our table by the window where we got to look out to the terrace and street. I really just can't wait to be back!!

First time here and my experience was amazing. Not only was the food delicious, fresh and fast, the staff was exceptional. Our waitress Amy was amazing!! Will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing food, literally the best eggs Benedict I've ever tasted in my entire life. Such nice service, gift shop, exterior, interior. I mean why wouldn't you come here. Anyone leaving a negative review is just looking for something negative to say.... I cannot express how delicious and unique the food is here. Amy is a gem, so sociable and sweet!! This place is a hole in the wall, you have to try this place out!!! A great date idea, great for family's too. Remember to make a reservation for brunch on Sundays ONLY from 9-2pm to get a taste of heaven or 2:30-4:30 Friday & Saturday's ONLY for Tea Time!! :)

I am so glad the Wenham Tea House opened back up - the executive chef (Brenden Crocker) has an amazing way with food and flavors. Since its reopening i have gone for brunch and dinner numerous times. The brunch is absolutely delicious, a few of our favorites are the whipped ricotta pancakes, the berry bread pudding french toast, and the sweet sunny south. Dinner is even better than brunch! (If you can believe it). Shaved Brussel salad is a star on the menu. And the both the chicken and filet mignon are worth every penny. Please if you have not been, check it out - they will not disappoint.

A very pleasant early summer dinner on the outdoor patio area. Outdoor tables are nicely spaced apart so a good sense of privacy, overlooking the town hall, green, and expansive playground area at the adjacent church. The waiter, Ryan, and host were very welcoming but also not overly obtrusive, which was a good balance. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board for a starter, which turned out to be much more than expected with large amounts of multiple tasty cheeses and cured meats. For mains we had scallops on risotto, which was decent, and braised short ribs on mashed potato with carrots, which was very tender and delicious. When asked if interested in dessert, we were so full that we had to decline but next time will make sure to save room. A final personal touch was that the bill came with a personal card wishing us a happy wedding anniversary which we had only mentioned in passing after the starter had arrived. Would definitely go again if in the area!

Friends asked us to meet them here and 1/2 hr. Drive was worth it. Restaurant is a corner building with primarily street parking( popular place for Sunday Brunch). Menu is typical brunch food but well prepared and civilized. From the time you sit down and are served small corn muffins to the time they take your order, you feel civility. My omelet with spinach, feta and tomato was very good accompanied by home fries and an English muffin. My wife had a bagel with nova and said it was good and filling. Coffee is fresh and bloody Mary's and Prosecco are available as well. 2 hours passed by quickly so We would recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is that they use paper napkins instead of cloth. It detracts from the ambiance and the overall feel of this establishment. Otherwise, I would give it a fifth star.

Came in on a Sunday at noon and was sat immediately. This establishment has a very nice ambience and is good for large parties (saw a group of 10 ladies have Sunday tea). The scones are deceptively filling - according to the new owners, the scones are intentionally smaller based on feedback. The scones are delicious and I could have eaten the clotted cream by itself. Note that the 'pot of tea for two' can easily be enough for 3 - 4 people. The omelet was very fluffy - note the plate was very hot so be careful. I liked the quiche - especially the crust. Apparently the tea house is the oldest consecutively running tea house in the country, going strong at 100 years. Under new management for the past two months; if they are running this well at two months, I look forward to going back.

Such a hidden gem! The tea, pastries, scones and service were all fantastic. We had my daughter's "sweet 16" in their small, private room while I had tea in the very crowded main room. The service couldn't have been better. Working with Melissa in advance was a pleasure. The entire staff paid close attention to details, like who was gluten-free and who was vegetarian. We will soon be back!

This is one of my favorite spots to visit for lunch with friends. The quiches are particularly delicious.

The restaurant is quaint, and very pretty. We got off to a good start with the tuna tartar, a small portion surrounded by lightly dressed greens and potato chips. Delicious! They're known for house-made chips but we weren't fortunate enough to score them. We got off to a rocky start with mains, but ended up with one of the best fish sandwiches I've had. The sandwiches are pricey at $19 (and a $4 uncharged to cut them in half to share). There's also a fee to use a credit card to settle the bill. With all the upcharges for traditional lunch fare, I probably wouldn't visit again.

On my first visit here, I was at once surprised and a bit weirded out by a lady all decked out in a Cinderella costume... But after eating here a couple of times, even if she was wearing a clown costume (and clowns really make me uncomfortable) I would still go back for the food. Yes, it is indeed more expensive than most other diners and brunch places, but I think they shouldn't really be compared side by side, because it's not a diner. It's a teahouse. The ambience, the dishes, the interior is all very pretty, dainty, and elegant. This is, in sum, a place you would bring your elderly, sweet grandma for some good quality food and tea on a Sunday morning (as long you had the money for it). And besides, the quality and quantity of the food does make the price worthwhile. Tea is great for sharing--you can ask for a refill of hot water after you finish the pot of tea. I personally really like earl grey and enjoyed their blue flower earl grey as well. Their waffles are delicious. Their fluffy omelets are literally "fluffy omelets"--the fluffiest ones I've ever eaten! But I love their benedicts--the Irish Benedict is to die for (especially because I love corned beef hash). I would highly recommend the Irish Benedict. If you're looking more for a simple pastry entry, you can't go wrong with scones with jam and clotted cream. Trust me. It's warm, not too sweet, and very filling. A tip: go on a weekday morning if you can; this place is very popular during the weekends.

Wenham Tea House was one of my highlights from my last trip to Boston! The tea selection definitely exceeded my expectations, and even my husband who doesn't enjoy tea loved his coffee that they made for him. Drinks were A+ The scones before our main plates were delightful as were our entrees. The service was great for being so busy inside, and my favorite part was so simple and clever--being handed the bill in a music box. What a wonderful surprise!

I've have high tea at tea rooms across the country. The tea room was charming, good service, good tea selection but points off because the food was just okay. The sandwiches were bland. And for what we got it was overpriced. I wouldn't return.

Romantic dinner tonight. Good food, great service. Courtney was our server. She took good care of us. I got the shrimp app. It was very good with a smoky flavor. Then the lamb shank entree. A huge dish with lots of veg. and mashed potatoes. Gf's petite filet was cooked perfect. It came out sizzling hot! Both desserts were very good. A good night for us both.

I was told by a friend about this place so i decided to come with my girlfriend. And was i impressed service was great the owner was very friendly greeted us right when we walk in the door. They quickly sat us and our waitress came by introduce herself very friendly. We ordered tea organic african tea i think it was so delicious we also got blueberries cake with cinnamon butter which we both enjoyed it was very flavorful and the cake was so moist. We both ordered lobster Benedict and crab cake Benedict which was very good. At the end of our meal our waitress bring a music box to our table when i open it there is our bill and the music box played a song called you are my sunshine.. it made my girl smile because i called her my sunshine. Overall we had a great experience

The food here is fresh and delicious! My friend and I went for brunch this morning and we stared at the menu for about 15 minutes before deciding what we were going to get. I had berry crisp french toast and my friend had an omelette. She got to pick her fillings which was nice. The pumpkin bread they served before our food came out was very tasty. The service was very attentive as well. I can't wait to go back.

What an amazing Sunday brunch! We didn't really know what to expect from a "tea house", but I can assure you that no one left hungry! I was told by a neighbor that they make an amazing omelette. They did not disappoint! They are light, fluffy, but somehow still densely packed with that richness you expect from eggs. You can have it filled with a variety of basic fillings at no extra charge, then there's the deluxe fillings that were a $1 or $2 extra. I got broccoli, mushroom, and cherry tomato with American cheese. My husband got ham and cheese. Both were served with a perfectly crisp side of home fries, and the toast of your choosing. A little wedge of watermelon was the "in season" garnish. We are coffee drinkers, and pleasantly surprised that it was strong and delicious. As for a children's menu, I believe they just bring out a smaller portion, a la cart off of regular menu. Our little one got a buttermilk pancake, and a side of bacon. The pancake was as fluffy as a down comforter, and the bacon thick cut and cooked to order. The garnish was a berry cup, with a side of fresh whipped cream. The atmosphere can best be described as "antique". It is quite charming to say the least! Adorable original artwork is displayed throughout. Also they have a modest gift shop with every tea, pot or cup a connoisseur could imagine. I noticed a commercial sized refrigerator boasting "ready made meals to go"...but it was time for us to go!

I wrote this on 3/31/12 but posted it to The Exchange at Wenham Tea House, whcih is the wrong Yelp site: I have been to this place several times a year for the past few years. I had always enjoyed my meals and thought the wait service was perfectly acceptable, but the restaurant recently closed and was reopened today by the owner of Henry's Foods. It is worth noting that the restaurant will be open for dinner and also will soon feature beer and wine. Today, my stepfather and I went for lunch. We arrived at about 1:30 only ot learn that the weekend menu is brunch only. Despite all the current change, our food was every bit as good as it has been in the past. I had a four egg omlette (!!huge!!) and my stepfather had eggs benedict, which is a tricky dish to prepare in a manner that impresses him - and it did again today. The decor is redone in very tasteful dark cream and pale cream. There is new paint, rug, table linens, etc. Tiny potted pansies at each table were a sweet touch. Both of us wish Henry's and the team at the Wenham Tea House the very best of luck moving forward!!

This is a lovely location. Unfortunately we had an incident that made a big impression but at the end of the figurative day, it was resolved faultlessly The coffee was perfect, the basket of muffins delicious and the service attentive. Comfortable seating, not too noisy in the room and great food. Update 9/1/14: The review above had been edited because it described a problem that management has been very responsive to so we are going back to try again. Stay tuned. Update 1/5/15 with my apologies that I could not get to a computer sooner and apparently you can't edit from a phone. Anyhow, we returned as the manager's guests and had a wonderful brunch. I believe that what happened to us won't happen to anyone else so I've done some edits above. I appreciate the good intentions and great communications.

My girlfriend & I had such a wonderful experience at The Wenham Tea House last month that we decided to make it a monthly date. We went there again today and the service & food were both impeccable! I highly recommend the quiche. My girlfriend was in heaven with the lobster bisque. Next month, we plan on going during high tea. Going to The Wenham Tea House is like going on a little mini vacation. One luncheon there & you can forget all of your troubles! It is truly like stepping back in time! As for kids...they offer Princess Teas and they also have a menu suitable for kids. Be sure & call ahead for a reservation...even if it's just two of you. They will be putting an outdoor dining area in very soon and we can't wait to check it out!!!

This is my favorite place to have breakfast. We eat with our eyes and their presentation is perfect. Everything looks delicious and taste even better!

I came to Wenham Tea House last month for a special occasion..To ask my best friend to be my maid of honor :) I wanted something very girly, special, and memorable, and our afternoon tea was perfect!! The tables were nicely set, and the room was comfortable. We were even asked if the window being open was ok since it was such a beautiful day. Everyone was very accommodating and happy to make our time there fun. We all chose different teas, which were poured for us white-glove style, and kept warm over tealights. We all enjoyed the selections we made. Then came out the trays of mini sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Everything was very good and I enjoyed the clotted cream, marmalade and jellies. The servings per person were generous, and we ended up taking some of it home. Our server was also very willing to take several photos of us. The bill for 4 people, tax and tip included, was $100, which I think was well worth the experience! I will definitely return and I highly recommend the afternoon tea! I think the queen would approve ;)

Wenham Tea House is a great place for breakfast, brunch/lunch or dinner. It is also a very cozy place, very clean and upbeat along with great personal service.

My husband and I came here for high tea over the weekend. The place is very cozy and inviting, and the hostess and servers are super friendly. The tea that we ordered was excellent, and there was a vast array of finger sandwiches on different types of bread with different fillings and they were all excellent. The reason I am giving this place four stars is because I wasn't a fan of the assortment of pastries that were served with the high tea. They were small so you could try more than one without feeling guilty, but I didn't like the selection. The blueberry and chocolate scones were excellent, however, so I focused on those and the sandwiches, and my husband happily devoured the pastries.

I went with my daughter on Dec. 9 after doing research on places in MA that served afternoon or high tea. I had gone to places in Boston and London and decided to try this, after reading such great reviews. Although I was a bit disappointed with the place, the food, and the service (although my waiter Nick was very nice) I emailed Chris from Fresh Foods about my suggestions/complaints and he responded right away and decided to implement many of them. I'm very impressed with his responsiveness and professionalism. It also would be nice to have been told what each tea sandwich was or have a mini-menu. It looked like it is probably a nice place for breakfast or brunch. I haven't gone back to try it yet.

I have been going to the Tea House since 2005 and yesterday was my last lunch. I ordered a BLT and my Mom ordered the Quiche Lorraine, with two iced teas. The waiter glowingly took the order, promised the mini-muffins in the interim and left. For awhile. He brought the tea. No muffins. About 20 minutes after ordering he brought the muffins. They were delicious, but I was hoping by that time to have my BLT as the table next to us ordered after and were already eating. The BLT eventually came and one slice of bread was burned. Charred, I should say. It was black. I removed it and put it on my bread plate and tried an open-faced BLT as a new adventure. My Mom's quiche looked like they had taken a left over piece and plated it by scraping it and all the left-in-the-pan-extras onto her plate. It was unattractive to say the least and she later said it was not very good, as in the past. The waiter did stop by to check in and I mentioned the burned part of my sandwich. "Oh Dear, I'm sorry" was his response but he never offered to get another piece of toast or remove the ugly charred one sitting next to me. We finished and asked for the check. Our waiter had disappeared again. We asked another staff member for the check. In most places, where a customer has suffered an obvious error by the kitchen, the dish is removed from the check or at least the tea is comped. Nothing. We paid -- and tipped him -- and left. It truly saddens me to post this because I have loved this restaurant over the years. This is not the first time I have had exceptionally slow service or mediocre food there, but in the past I have written it off as a bad day. This was my last bad day there.

Everything tasted so fresh and the presentation was top notch. Prices are high but the food is very good on all levels. The hash was fantastic as were the breads that come with every meal. Definitely will be back.

My favourite brunch place in the Boston area. My wife and I visited this past Sunday; we tend to dine here every few months or so and it is always something I look forward to. She had the poached eggs on toast, and the eggs were prepared perfectly. I had a fluffy omelet with bacon & cheddar, along with breakfast potatoes. Both dishes were absolutely wonderful. The service was stellar, they manage to walk that (otherwise elusive) line between obtrusive and unhelpful. The staff here is so friendly, I enjoy seeing them, and they remember my wife and I, which is a nice touch.

Fantastic is the only thing you can say about this place. Super impressed with service. Everyone from hostess, manager, servers made us feel at home. We had a late breakfast and was not rushed at all even though they ended breakfast service 15 mins after we got there. Eggs Benedict and French omelette was superb. We can't wait to try lunch and dinner at this place. Also looks like a great place for a cozy wedding or other special event.

Ambiance - A++++ the building is the epitome of north shore boston quaintness. The dining room and patio are inviting and comfortable - can be a bit crowded if some has brought small (loud) kids. Lots of parking very convenient. Service - A - very attentive and warm Food/Menu A++ very tasty; lots of options and the china is so beautiful...you really feel like you're in a tea house. Male manager - think his name is Chris is always very warm and welcoming whenever we go.

This place is beautiful and the food is always amazing. It's definitely unmatched by any other breakfast spots when it comes to tea culture and elegant decor! From the outside it looks a house. Inside, there's a boutique shop for unique trinkets, teas, mugs, and sweet things. Whether you're looking to enjoy a simple tea and a few pastries or looking for a filling brunch - this place will not disappoint. It is also very well-priced considering the portions, the quality of the food/tea, and the service! Things I recommend: (prices from when I visited) Tea: blue flower earl grey, herbal chai (decaf), white silver needles ($8/pot) Pastries: SCONES WITH CLOTTED CREAM all the way (their other pastries are great too - but for those that don't usually go for sweets anyway, this is the winner!) ($~5 for 2 scones with clotted cream & jam) Brunch: any of the eggs benedicts; florentine (spinach) is great!; spanish (chorizo) is great, the chorizo also has a bit of a spiciness to it) Lunch: roasted turkey panini (roasted turkey, melted Brie, roasted pear, honey mustard on Focaccia) they also have a prixfixe menu for dinner but it changes regularly~ If you have little ones, they also have princesses and other special storybook/film characters come dressed in character on special days!

Went with a party of 4 for Afternoon Tea service. Great experience! The tea parlor is small and cozy, yet elegant. The service was absolutely wonderful. We stayed for about 2 hours and weren't rushed at all. Our server even offered to refresh our tea and we were also able to take it to go! The food was fantastic, great variety of sandwiches and desserts. Drove a little over an hour here, and would definitely come again!

i went with my mom, we had tea for two. we're both vegetarian and there was no problem. they gave us 3 tea sandwiches (cucumber, olive, and egg salad). the scones were so good! the tea was great too, i had the earl grey w blue flowers and my mom had the irish breakfast. great location, really friendly staff, and wonderful tea.

Good things about the Wenham Tea House: 1. The beautiful, tasteful environs. 2. The lovely nutcracker-inspired Christmas decorations. Not so Good/Bad things about the Wenham Tea House: 1. One of the most unpleasant wait staffs I have ever seen. After we were seated by a very nice lady, it went completely downhill from there, culminating in walking out the door past three people who did not say one word. Perhaps I am spoiled, but at a quaint establishment like this one, I would expect a "Goodbye," "Thank You for Coming," "Merry Christmas,"a nod of the head, an indication of life, itself. We got nothing. 2. The electronics for the charge card system were down. All patrons were told about this AFTER they were seated. They all, including us, scrambled around to see if they had checks (NO ONE has checks) or cash to cover the damage (and it's NOT cheap in this place). One couple had completely finished their meal and had their charge card out, only to find out that they needed cash. There should be a backup mechanism for these occurrences, such as writing down the charge card numbers and security codes. It was so bad that it was funny. 3. One of the worst restaurant breakfasts I have ever had, including two wretched poached eggs, cold toast and a fruit cup that consisted of red grapes, some of which still had the stems in them. To be fair, my brunch partner did order a $22 omelet with salmon and vegetables that allegedly was very good. 4. And, lastly, "it ain't cheap."
