WeRise Wines

Last night a small group of us celebrated my husband's 52nd birthday. Since I was introduced to We Rise almost a year ago, this has been my go to place. The list of wines are amazing and the non alcoholic options are great. Last night the staff was great. Rayna or Raina (sorry for the mis-spelling), they were on top of it along with the other staff (I did not get the other staff members name). I love the intimacy of the space, the food and the vibe. My partner had a great time and we were able to introduced our friends to this spot. I hope We Rise has a long life as long as they want. This is definitely my go to place and I hope to be there more often.

We stopped by for happy hour and really enjoyed this wine bar! The cheese and charcuterie plate was excellent , at $16, it’s one of the best values we’ve seen. The wine selection was great, and the service was friendly and attentive. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass (or two)!

We Rise Wines is the wine bar Seattle has been asking for. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by stunning work from local artists, warm energy, and a curated selection of Black-owned and women-owned wines and beers (shoutout to Seattle’s own Métier Brewing). Owner Jamila Conley is a consummate host who has built something truly special here: a space where culture, community, and great wine coexist beautifully. The events calendar alone is worth following. I’ve done drag bingo and Geeks Who Drink, and every time I leave with new friends and great memories. The tasty bites hit the spot, and whether you’re catching up with old friends or meeting new ones, this is the place for it. I haven’t even gotten to the wine club or tastings yet, which tells you how much there already is to love. We Rise is more than a wine bar. It’s an oasis.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I attended the Trivia Night at WeRise Wines this week and had a really fun time! I went right after work so it was great to be able to have some terrific food options to eat while I drank my wine. I had the charcuterie board and the hot pretzels were awesome! I was drinking some of the reds and had to buy a few bottles of Abeja before it was all gone. The location is great, I will definitely be back.

Joined the wine club and Will be back often. Phenomenal atmosphere and selection of wines. I don’t know of another place in Seattle that highlights the diversity of wine makers and options for LGBTQ+, POC, and Women owned wineries. Have been waiting for a place like this in Seattle and can’t wait to participate in the events that will be hosted and support this location.

We recently held a private event at WeRise Wines and the entire planning and event experience from top to bottom was very easy and professionally managed. Our group rented out the entire space, and all we had to do was show up! Everything was handled and our guests all had a wonderful experience at this cozy shop featuring amazing local wines. I highly recommend WeRise for small events, and also just a comfortable hang - great music and atmosphere!

WeRiseWines is truly a special wine bar situated in the heart of downtown and Pike Market Place. Absolutely love the focus of the bar: to find wonderful and outstanding wines of diversity. Specifically, wine producers that are women, LGBTQ, BIPOC and ethnic owned. The owner, Jamila and Celia, her GM have a great staff and the venue is really chill and laid back. There are also a host of different events, great food specials on the board and meet the winemaker tastings. If I had to choose a very good Chardonnay from their list, I would recommend the 2022 CHRIS JOYCE CHARDONNAY produced in Napa but using a unique Burgundy style wine style from the Beaune region. :-)

Amazing new place! So excited by the positive energy and the focus on amazing winemakers who are making a difference. Wine is meant to be ENJOYED and that is exactly what this place is about. We had amazing service, great food and incredible wines! I can't wait to come back!!

Popped in with friends around 5pm. They have a Happy Hour even on Friday and Saturday, 3 to 6 pm. Love that all beverages are all from women-, BIPOC, or LGBTQIA owned businesses. The decor is beautiful, cozy, and upscale. I had the red wine and white wine on their HH menu and was surprised by how good they were because usually HH wines are so-so. Red was better than the white. They are had a delicious IPA on the HH menu too. We had the harissa meatball and goat cheese flatbread which was tasty though a bit dry. The corn bread in a cast iron was so good, we ordered two. It's served w salted butter. Carlos and Bailey, our servers, were attentive and friendly. The only thing I'd not recommend is their nonalcoholic wine. It was more like fancy fruit juice. I'll be back!
