West Altadena Wine and Spirits by Everson Royce

The store is just opening up, from a prior location on Raymond Avenue in Pasadena. They start footprint is smaller, less in inventory. But the wines are nicely presented, and there was a good range of low priced to higher priced wines. The woman that helped me was very pleasant and seemingly knowledgeable. I got Wines there that I might not have found at another Wine store, and I was able tozero in, with the help of the staff, to get what I needed. I recommend the store, particularly in that they are in the heart of the Altadena fire zone, we’re trying to give these merchants our business.

It's my favorite place to buy wine. Hands down. Staff is great. Selection is amazing. Even hosted a gather last year with some friends there.

Stopped by today to see what I can pickup. A nice lady helped me select a bottle for my wife. She was very helpful as I know nothing about wine. I told her what my wife currently drinks, and she was able to help me make a selection.

I visited for the first time since the shop moved to the new location and it’s as fabulous as ever! Thanks so much for the amaro recommendation, it’s exactly what I was looking for and everything I could ever want.

West Altadena Wine opened in June, and I've been meaning to come here for the Thursday Wine Tastings, since I attend the ones at their sister shop Highland Park Wine on a regular basis. Its prior incarnation was Everson Royce Wine & Spirits in Pasadena. The new location inspired the name change. I recently attended the soft opening of their adjacent bar (Good Neighbor) and since it was Thursday I went in for the weekly wine tasting. $20 gets you four pours and you can buy pizza from the Triple Beam pop-up. The layout is about the same as HLP Wine (Silverlake Wine is also part of the family). Featuring artwork by Eric Junker, this cozy boutique shop carries a variety of organic/biodynamic/natural wines. They also sell small production beer and spirits. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist customers pick out the perfect selection. The gal at the register even remembered me from HLP Wine. I enjoyed the tastings for the evening and had great conversations with the locals who were also warm & welcoming. Everyone I spoke to were happy to have this place in the neighborhood and were also excited about Good Neighbor Bar. Even though it's not walking distance from my house like HLP Wine is, I will be back.

This gem is TRULY a gift to have in our Altadena community! The staff was incredibly helpful to give a recommendation on a white to pair with my dinner party plans; overall, the pick was a great choice! I'll definitely be back to enjoy their flights, and maybe pizza by a local vendor that looked incredible:) A final note, the space is easy to navigate and feel like you can take your time to make a selection or take a recommendation-- thanks!!!

Best Wine Shop in Altadena! They have a great selection of everything you would want, including California wines, French wines, Italian wines, easy drinking wines, chillable reds, etc. Their staff is super helpful and knowledgeable about wines. They helped us pick out La Cuadrilla, a red wine from Santa Barbara which paired really well with my marinara sauce. We'll definitely be back regularly to attend their events. :)

Very good selection. Lots of interesting drinks. Good prices. Thursdays they have tastings. Well worth it.

So many great wine options and the staff was super friendly! I look forward to when they open their cocktail bar.
