West Chester Pizza Cafe

This is my go to pizza spot in west Chester. Not only is the pizza great, but the sandwiches are awesome too. Great staff, minimal wait times for pickup and dining in.

This is my first time here, and it will not be the last one. What I love the most is the service. 10/10. The girls are amazing, always smiling and making sure we are good. The pizza was juicy, crunchy, and tasty—everything you expect from a good pizza.

Yummy! Was looking for somewhere with cannolli but didn't want to go far too get one. Ended up here. Hubby had an Italian hoagie. I had an order of their meatballs along with a caprese salad. OMG it was all really good and filling. And yes he got his cannolli! The service was ok. We got there long before the dinner rush and this may have been the first day for our server. IDK but she was definitely not all with it for just having us initially. Once it got busy service was worse. We got through it. P.S. Don't order the truffle fries. The truffle oil just doesn't mix with French fries.

Was really in the mood for pizza and had been meaning to try this place for awhile. I’m glad I did. The menu is expansive with a lot of different options for pizza as well as wings, salads, and sandwiches. I kept it simple and got the plain round and the Grandma style. Both were delicious. The sauce for both were extremely fresh and the crust was cooked perfectly. Not to heavy or thick. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Staff is super nice and the place has such a welcoming warm atmosphere. Pizza so good I couldn’t want until I got home, I had to pop it open and eat a slice right in my truck. Make sure to get one of their amazing milkshakes too. I’m a huge ice cream and sweets guy and you will not be disappointed

Very good pizza, super light, not greasy, easy to eat. Drove the pizza home 20 min and didn’t reheat it. We like it better than Pizza West Chester, the pizza isn’t burnt and prefer the sauce. It helps to be able to order ahead, drive there and pick it up… it’s worth the trip when you want it!

The pizza here is delicious. The crust is thin and crunchy and your mouth will savor every bite. There is a lot of sauce, which is a good thing. We ordered the cheese pizza and a tomato pie and both were delicious. The tomato pie had a good garlic taste and both pies has a thin crunch. This pizza was worth the drive.

Nice little spot, our second time here. First time we got two pies of pepperoni and one cheese and honestly they were delicious. Second time we came we just ordered slices & although they had good flavor they were very small and pricey. $4 a slice for pepperoni & $3.50 for cheese. That’s a bit much for such small slices, one would not fill you up. The place inside is very nice as well as the staff.

Very good pizza! Nice taste to it, not too cheesy. It was a tad bit floppy and could have been cooked a tad bit longer in my opinion. Not a bad price for the Pizza. It was 17 for a cheese. They do sell by the slice as well! The girl working the counter was awesome! Very friendly, on top of everything and was running a 1 woman show to perfection. Very clean place, Italy dining vibes.

I would give their pizza a 3.5, but every other aspect is 5 star. Let me start with the pizza- when they first opened this was my go to. The pizza is always fresh, but has gotten thinner and thinner over time. Like you grab the pizza box and it's like holding an empty box. The toppings also have gotten more and more sparse over time. The flavors are good, but need more on a pizza!! Recommendations: the vodka add shredded chicken, mushroom farmer, shrimp fra diavola, and Greek. The rest: dining in is where it's at. The outside seating is nice and heated in the winter. For some reason, the food tastes so much better there. I always get the kale Cesar salad (yum!!!!), the bang bang shrimp, and a couple pizzas. They also have the most adorable ice cream window. My kids love to stop by there in the summer and eat at the picnic tables. This place is solid, but not my pizza only place.

Different Cheesesteak #1240. I saw on the menu a Grilled Cheese. I asked the young woman at the counter if they could make me a Grilled Cheese Cheesesteak. She said, yes!! I called Artillery Brewing to see if I could take my grilled cheesesteak there. The young man on the phone said, Yes! I took my Grilled Cheesesteak to Artillery Brewing. Artillery Brewing has a kitchen. I apologized and said that I had called. He said I had talked to him. He said it was okay because at that time I was the only customer. I am glad he did because I loved my sour cherry beer from the Rebellion Collection. My Grilled Cheesesteak was very good. The meat/cheese and onions were close to very very very good. I may have gotten a little ahead of myself getting it as a grilled cheese. The good news, I will be going back to West Chester Pizza Cafe to try the cheesesteak as a cheesesteak. The wonderful young man at Artillery said West Chester Pizza is his go-to for cheesesteaks. I will mostly take Amigo Dan and get a Pizza. The place smelled like pepperoni.

I recently moved to West Chester and had heard a lot about the pizza options in the area. West Chester Pizza Cafe was one of the most recommended so i decided to give it a shot. I got a plain cheese pizza and can say that it was one of the best, if not the best, cheese pizzas that I've had (and I've had a lot.) the crust is perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time and the sauce is so flavorful. You have got to try and make sure you eat in the restaurant - it's not as good if you take it home and let it cool down.

Dined here last night. We were sat right away at a deuce table in front of the kitchen. It was the last available table. Very popular place with groups waiting to be seated at the outside dining area. Service was quick as the restaurant was busy. Food was fresh and served hot. High turnover on the tables. We were there between 6:30-7:30pm on a Friday night. Definitely going back but for a late dinner when the crowd thins down. For appetizer, we opted for the fried calamari which was served with lemon wedges and a small side of marinara. Make sure you have water or something to drink because the calamari is so salty! It was more like a "salt and pepper" type entree you'd get at a Chinese restaurant. I didn't really like it. My husband thought it was okay but salty. We also ordered a classic tomato pizza. Thin crust was delicious. Just the right texture, doneness with the dark spots on the bottom. Sauce is not on the sweet side so that's a plus. Just the right amount of Parmesan to balance the flavor of the sauce and crust. We are loving this pizza and coming back for more. (Actually ordered the pizza to bring home to the kids but had to taste it anyway.) For our entrees, I ordered eggplant parm which came with a side of spaghetti. My husband ordered chicken parm which also with a side of spaghetti. Eggplant was tasty and not overpowered with excessive breading or salt. The sauce had a mild sweetness to it and its flavor soaked into the pasta. Just the right amount to coat the noodles and not drown in sauce. The eggplant also had sauce but not heavily laden with it. Mozzarella on top was all melted and perfectly gooey. Same with the chicken parm. However, my husband mentioned it wasn't really seasoned but tasted good anyway. Swears he's just having the pizza next time. Overall, we love the pizza, stay away from the calamari, order the spaghetti, and will try other pizzas and entrees on our next visit. I'd recommend coming back to this restaurant. It's a BYOB kind of place. Very reasonable on pricing. Family friendly. Casual. Quick service but a very small restaurant. Place can be cramped. Try not to get the deuce table in front of the kitchen doors. Servers literally knocked the doors into my chair. May try takeout from here too.

Best pizza in the area. Very light crust and the sauce is absolutely amazing. I think about this pizza when I can't sleep. Cute atmosphere with a nice dining room, although I just ate at the counter for lunch. Highly recommend and I will be back for sure!

Some of the best pizza in the area (if not the best) with good sides/appetisers and ice cream. You can eat in or take out (order at the counter for both). Staff are friendly and food comes out decently quickly. Highly recommended

Food was great, but I would not recommend there cheese pizza, too much sauce. It has a great place to eat outside. And service there is great.

Don't know what the fuss is about. We had a pepperoni pizza that was tolerable at best. Crust was paper thin and tasteless. Pepperoni was good but the cheese and sauce were also not very favorable. Also too salty.

What a hidden gem! Went here due to the reviews and it lives up to the hype. The tomato pie was excellent as well as the guido stromboli! The salad was large and lots of veggies in it. We ate inside but they were doing a ton of take out. We will be back here!

If you think all they do is great pizza... you are wrong. Unbelievable salmon and risotto,Appetizers, salads and more. BYOB. Great staff, Great atmosphere. gotta check it out.

For the amount charged, the pizza was small and exceedingly thin. Hopefully just a bad night for them.

A mixed bag. The Classic pizza was a real disappointment unlike any Classic we've ever had. The thin crust baked in a real pizza oven was good but the sauce was tasteless, overly sparse and the cheese was all but invisible. The Nonna pizza was good but again the eggplant, red peppers and ricotta was the minimal. For what we got the price was way too high

A solid spot for pizza that avoids the generic pizza taste & grease you find at a lot of pizza spots. I especially like the Upside Down pie with the mild provolone cheese. The Margarita pie is great with chunks of mozzarella and the fresh basil on top.

Hawaiian Pizza was terrible and $24!! Who makes a Hawaiian pizza with pepperoni instead of ham?

Perfect pizza, nothing more to say. This is the pizza your deity orders when they wanna order in for the crew. If you do not like this, maybe potato and onion pierogi are more your vibe.

This margarita pizza was really good! The only bummer was that it was cold, which is weird because I arrived in ten minutes when they told me 15. I put it on broil in my oven for about 5 minutes and I must say it was 10x better than Brothers. Less expensive too!!

Recently moved to west chester and was on the hunt for a new go to pizza place. This place did not disappoint!! We got the original cheese pizza and the nonna pizza. Both were delicious, but both a bit burnt on the bottom. The ingredients tasted fresh. When picking up the pizza, the staff was super nice and the place was very cute. They are adding a new heated tent and have seasonal ice cream flavors. I'll be back to try the ice cream soon.

Hands down one of the best places for pizza in west chester for sure. their crust is always chewy and crisp and pairs amazingly with their robust savory tomato sauce. they also have a variety of specialty pizza none of which have disappointed. A favorite is their pizza with soppresatta and mikes hot honey, being both salty and savory and is just perfect for a night out. Their appetizers are also amazing, with one of my favorites being their roasted chicken wings and their onion rings. Overall their food and ambiance is a 5/5, but the reason for their 4/5 being their service. Having been here a dozen times, their service is inconsistent where the server is sometimes attentive and food comes out quick and other times I've waited almost and hour for my food and the server is virtually non present, and the restaurant was not even busy.

Pizza is 5 star!! Great friendly service, best around. This is a hidden gem. Fuggaboutit

This place was voted #1 Pizza in West Chester PA by legendary Drunks of West Chester Instagram. Had to go check it out. Super nice staff. Restaurant is really nice as well with patio to sit outside or tables and counter inside. Margarita Pizza was very good - definitely one of the towns better choices. Grabbed a slice of Grandma Sicilian and it was ok - hard to judge a slice properly just sitting there in the slice pie. Need it cut fresh out of the oven. The cheesesteak was okay.

This place is a hidden gem! The outdoor patio area was quaint and had a nice atmosphere. It felt home-y, like you were enjoying food on a friend's porch. We got the Flyin Hawaiian pizza, which was plenty big to serve two people. The crust was thinner and had a nice crisp to it, exactly how we like it. The toppings were pretty good too! The waffle fries were an unexpected star of the meal. They had a light seasoning to them that gave them that extra pop, and I'd come back here for the waffle fries alone. Also, this place is BYOB, which is another great feature that this place has to offer. Our waitress was great and checked in on us throughout the entire meal. We will definitely be coming back here!

We love West Chester Pizza Cafe!!! You really get what you pay for with quality ingredients and top notch service. They even have an additional menu if you dine in, and an ice cream case to make milkshakes with! We drive 30 minutes just to pick up and it is so worth it. Can't recommend it enough!

This is the best local pizza place!! The chef there is fantastic. We enjoy sitting outside on the patio since we have two children. The pizza is amazing and also the kale salad! Please excuse our messy table in the pic but pictured is: kale salad, loaded waffle fries, Guido stromboli, and mushroom pizza. Highly recommend!!

This is a hidden gem, and I'm afraid if I say all the good things about this place, it will get too crowded and will be hard to go! This place hits all the marks, outside dining is perfect for summer days, indoor is quaint and cozy for colder days, the service is great, but what brings us back is the pizza! Our go to is the grandmas pie with pepperoni and is delicious. Bonus points because it's also BYOB.

We ordered a large pepperoni & and cheese. Dave The Pres rated it an 8.1 I agree this is really, really good pizza. Is be happy to eat this every day.

The pizza lover in my is giving the West Chester Pizza Cafe a 5/5. For the first go round I ordered plain waffle fries and the Vodka pizza. The fries alone were phenomenal and ever so tasty! The toppings on the pizza are generous, the sauce is delicious, the crust is crisp... the whole pizza is mouth watering. They knocked it out of the park! I look forward to coming back and checking out their fry bar options some more of their yummy looking pies. This is a fun little place in WC that's not in town but close enough! I recommend giving them a go!

This place has been getting a little hype on social media sites and it's close enough to my regular travels that I had to try. The restaurant is nice enough on the outside and there is plenty of off street parking. I walked in on a Saturday night and ordered at the counter-staff was receptive, professional and kind. The inside has a seated dining area, and also some counter space to wait for takeout. We ordered a half pepperoni and enjoyed a Coke and watched basketball while our pie cooked. Pizza was ready after ten minutes or so, we drove home and dug in. One thing to mention is they had a cool, unique oven. It was multi level, rotating, and it seemed they had a few pizzaiolos working on different sides of the oven-neat set up, but not sure if gas or electric. This pizza was really, really good. Not your traditional thin crust or NY style, rather unique. A bit of a char on the bottom and on the crust, sweet sauce, quality cheese, and cupping pepperoni. This pizza was top notch for any pizza aficionado. Easily 8.6 out of 10, maybe better. Will definitely return!

Went here last night because my kids told me we had to try it. Something about YouTube and a president. The place is smallish on the inside but tasteful. We sat a table that was made from slab of a tree. What it lacked in evenness, it made up in adventure as plates and glasses pitched in interesting ways. In better weather, the outdoor seating would have been the way to go. Anyway...the pizza was delicious. We had a plain and a margarita and they were the best we've had in this area by far. Very light crust, thin, crisp with a tasty sauce. Both were excellent pies...slight edge to the margarita but were splitting hairs. Child one had the tomato bisque and a grilled cheese...he raved about both. We also split a pear salad which was also quite good. For dessert, the cheesecake was homemade and excellent...same for the cannoli. We also ordered the homemade doughnuts with Nutella drizzled...good but also large enough to share with several people. Overall, we'll probably become regulars here...we'll worth the drive for pizza this special and it's nice to not have to deal with West Chester parking.

My wife and I took our grandson there, we were going to order dinner and he only wanted a slice of pizza. Guess what? They have rule, no slices server at tables. How ridiculous. Also had a female server that was so unfriendly that she made it unbearable. Food was also very average.

Honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in the area. I loved pretty much everything about it, especially the combo of fig jam and bleu cheese. They were out of Brussels sprouts so we replaced them with broccoli and that was perfect. Never really had a pizza like that. Certainly want to get it again or try and different one. Get to this spot

Came here for dinner with friends. My 1st visit here. Was blown away by how delicious everything was. We started with the Guido Stromboli, which was fabulous. The salad was consumed before I could snap a pic, and it was great too. We also had a Margarita Pizza and a Carmelized Onion & Mushroom Pizza, both of which were wonderful. Excellent thin crust and very tasty sauce and toppings. Will definitely revisit this place. Service was also wonderful, prompt and efficient.

Tried calling up for take out Pizza on Friday evening at 4:00 !! No one answered the phone . Tried several more times like 10 till 5:00 and still straight to voice mail . If you can't hire someone to take orders then don't stay in business !!! Shut your doors down or DONT DO TAKE OUT !! Pick one , BIG DISGRACE . Ended up at Lenape Pizza which was fast and DELICIOUS!! SHAME KN YOU West Chester Pizza Cafe !!! Do not ever go there !!! Not worth it ... sad .... Actually NO STAR BUT I HAD TO PUT ONE IN .. We were driving from Md and willing to wait one hour but never got the chance to order .

Our new favorite pizza place in west Chester! Everything we have had there has been amazing - wings are excellent, kale Caesar salad, and the hot honey pepperoni pizza is excellent - cooked to perfection. Nice staff and reasonably priced - love it's BYOB too. Hope this place stays around!!!

Favorite pizza place! Nice little outdoor garden with seating. Slices and pies served hot and fresh! New favorite is the Vodka Sauce pizza, sooooooo yummmy!

cutest little place! outdoor seating area and veggies growing right out front. adorable family feel. first time in and i was so impressed. pizza is pretty good (a little too well-done for me), but the two things that i would go back for again and again were the GREEK SALAD and the CHEESECAKE (pictured). incredible housemade dressing. 10/10 experience.

I really used to love this place. Their cheese pizza WAS awesome. Used to LOVE their BBQ chicken pizza but sadly it's all gone down hill since the Dave Portnoy rating. The Cheese pizza is soooo thin it just gets soggy on my way home (which is a 20min drive). It so soggy the sauce and cheese drip off even when the pizza was cold. My Favorite was the BBQ pizza, it's only a disappointment now. The last time I ordered it it had red tomato sauce all over it and BBq sauce. It's just supposed to be BBQ sauce. Also the toppings have gone down hill too!! The last 2 times I ordered it was completely disappointing. Not sure if I'll try again.

Saw a similar review with the exact same issue. Ordered a "Flyin' Hawaiian". Waited close to 40 minutes, understanding that it was Friday at dinner time. They were steady but not slammed. Pizza came out burnt. Pineapple pieces about the size of pencil erasers. And there were about 25 of them. Total. Where do you even buy those, lol. Was starving so didn't send it back. Now battling a burnt, shoe leather crust. Shame. Had potential. Lack of care. Surly "expeditor/slicer" guy should have stopped this but he was glued to his phone. Mmmmmm

Have been working my way through the menu since they opened. I'm a pizza snob and for my money, this is the best pizza you will find in West Chester. Not as good as NY/NJ pie, but really solid. Especially enjoy the Margarita pizza. Meatballs are good, chicken parm sandwich solid. Wings and cheese steak egg rolls are decent. Cheesesteak sandwich was disappointing (onions on top of the sandwich rather than mixed with the meat strange cheesesteak construction). Overall though, glad they're here. Way better than the previous business at this location. And a solid choice for pizza in WC.

We love this place. Great thin pizza perfectly cooked with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The outdoor patio is awesome and live music is a major bonus. Probably the best pizza in West Chester, Pa

The cheese pizza was decent flavor with good crust though short on sauce and cheese. They tried to compensate with a large shake of powdered Parmesan cheese which if anything went the wrong way. The spinach and onion pizza was not good at all. The spinach was finely chopped and looked and tasted like blobs of frozen spinach. Notably, the harvest salad we got was pretty good. The dining room was tiny and required reservations, odd for a pizza place, but does seem like a local favorite. I don't recommend eating at the limited bar seating in by the ordering counter.

Had a reservation for 6pm outside since nothing available inside. Show up at 550 and get seated fairly quick only to realize outside heater is blowing cold air on a 40 degree evening. Hey what are ya gonna do, right? Anywho, waitress comes over to say hello ask us if we need any drinks to which we say no because we brought beer (a nice perk of the byo setup). She says great I'll give you a minute to look over the menu. So we do, even though we knew we came there for the pizza. We do decide to try some wings for an app though and wait patiently for our server to come back so we can put in our order. 30 mins, 2.5 beers, and several trips into the room by our server we are still waiting to order. Finally we decide to go flag her down so we can order some food. She comes over and apologizes (sweet girl) and explains they're short staffed, which we can understand the stress of that and show our empathy. She then decides now is the best time to let us know "oh we just ran out of pizza dough so you can't order pizza". Ya know, the only reason we came there, so that's cool at 630 on a Friday. Ok, let's throw in another app instead then and get something in our belly before we starve and then get outta here. So we order wings and cheesesteak egg rolls Well we finish another 2 beers and wait 25 more minutes before deciding this hasn't been a great experience. We call New Haven for a pizza and cheesesteak, grab our cooler and get outta dodge. Swing by New Haven, which is less than 8 mins away, throw the hazards on and run in to grab pizza and said cheesesteak ready to go and delicious as ever. Maybe we give this place another try for takeout some other time where we can actually try the food, maybe not.

I love their pizza! Quality ingredients. Unique selections. My favorite is the Tuscan white pizza (I like to add meatball)! The cheesesteaks are great too!

I love the pizza and wings here. We decided to give it a try since it was rated as one of the best places in West Chester for Pizza. It did not disappoint!

The food was fabulous. The chicken jawn sandwich was over the top. Will be back very soon.

Really good pizza, quality ingredients, and some interesting variety of pies. Also they have cheesesteak egg rolls, which you'd think you could find anywhere, say like in Havertown, but harder to grab in WC.

Everyone in my family agreed that this was really good pizza! It's a rare occasion for us all to agree on pizza.
