My husband and I were excited to try this place, and we and ordered two double-double burgers, a diet coke, and a large tater tots. Instead of making it a combo, the cashier charged each item individually - $3 for the soda and $6.50 for the tater tots, which ended up being almost $10, whereas the upcharge for a combo would have been only $5.
When we first asked for a receipt to inspect the charges, the cashier gave us the kitchen ticket with no charges listed. When we asked again, he was dismissive and it seemed like he was trying to avoid the confrontation, saying, "You want another one?" Well, the first one wasn't even a receipt, bro.
When we asked about the charges, he explained that combos only apply to small fries or tater tots, not large. But logically, you'd expect to pay an upcharge for a larger size while still getting the combo deal since we ordered a drink. He didn't explain this upfront, which felt sneaky. It definitely left a bad impression and a bad taste in our mouths.
In the end, we paid $30 for two burgers, one order of tater tots, and a soda. For that price, we could have had two full combos. Ridiculous. We left feeling overcharged and undervalued. Definitely won't be returning.
