"No longer constrained by the endless string of chain restaurants that typically encircle suburban food landscapes, Elk Grove, located just south of Sacramento proper, has exploded as a local destination for small businesses with swag. Enter West Coast Taco Bar, a roving food truck and permanent restaurant that bills itself as “Mexican inspired with a Golden State of mind.” Experimentation is encouraged at this taco stand, where a trio of tacos could include a Dirty Diana, a.ka. beef birria tucked inside a tortilla tinged with house-made mole and lots of melty cheese; Peruvian-style pollo a la brasa; and a sweet white corn and poblano creation." - Tamerra Griffin

Google
Crummy location and a bit misleading in appearance—seems much larger from the outside than it actually is. That said, the space is small but clean and modern. The menu is straightforward, prices are affordable, and service is counter-style. The food is tasty and satisfying, but it doesn't quite deliver a wow factor.

Google
WOW! Literally best tacos I’ve ever had… And this is coming from someone that spent over a decade in LA having ALL the tacos lol… 2nd time being here So far my favorites are the: -Dirty Diana -Korean BBQ -Bella Truffle And I need to keep coming back to try them all…! Parking is always available. Great location. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Chips and Salsa are bomb! Make sure to get these in house made chips…! Watermelon Fresca is off the charts 🍉! Not sugary at all. Nice fresh watermelon flavor. Best I’ve had. Well done guys! Heard your story of food truck to brick and mortar restaurant! Very inspirational. Keep it up!

Excited to meet up with a friend whom I haven’t seen in almost a year, I looked at my Yelp “bookmarks” to find a local restaurant. At the top of my results was West Coast Taco Bar, which I have heard great things about. I immediately sent her a text with one word…”taco?”…and to the delight of my appetite, she replied back by saying “YES!” We arrived a little after 1; therefore, the lunchtime crowd was putting their finishing touches on their meals and leaving (perfect timing). At the counter a friendly employee greeted us and after perusing the menu filled with many tasty sounding options, I proceeded to order the Korean Tacos. Roughly 12 minutes later, our food was being delivered to our table outside. By the presentation and smell of the tacos alone, I knew that I was in for a treat. Since these tacos are economy size and I only ordered four, I made sure to pace myself while eating them. However, I must admit that the delicious flavors of the pork and aioli made it really difficult to exercise self-control! I was thoroughly impressed with my tacos and the overall experience at West Coast Taco Bar. I look forward to returning to try the Dirty Diana (I assume this is paying homage to the song by my favorite pop artist Michael Jackson?)!

Google
Tacos were great! I surprisingly loved the bella truffle taco. For a vegetarian taco it was so delicious, you won't miss the meat! We tried the dirty diana, and sact town fire, and everything was a hit!

Google
I stalk their IG location every week to see when their food truck will be near Auburn. Then I pray that it aligns with my work, kids sports, and life schedule so that I can patronize them amd eat their delicious tacos. I’ve had their food multiple times over the years and they nail it 100% of the time. Sac Town Fire and Dirty Diana tacos are *chefs kiss* I absolutely love West Coast Tacos and HIGHLY recommend you stalk them too.

Google
First time here, and I'll have to say I'll be coming back. The gentleman at the counter told me to trust him, so I ordered the 4 tacos and had him just pick out the ones he thought were best. I got the Sac Town Fire, Chicken Adobada, Korean BBQ and Dirty Diana. The flavors were phenomenal. Would totally drive an hour back from home for these tacos again.

Google
Great experience! The food was magical. The staff was friendly. The place was super clean. The most important part: The Salsa was Bomb! IYKYK… I would definitely eat here again next time I’m in town.

My co-worker who lives in Elk Grove highly recommended this place to me. I went there on the first Friday night in April 2025 at around 8:30 PM. Even though they close at nine, the two young guys working there did not make me feel hurried and treated me like a king. They were very enthusiastic and could not have been more pleasant to deal with. After I told them I would like to eat in they asked me if I wanted some chips and salsa while I waited for my food. Chips and salsa were top shelf good. I really liked my chicken and my shrimp tacos. I had not eaten all day so I was still a bit hungry. The guys gave me another heaping helping of the chips and salsa. The chips were still warm – freshly made absolutely delicious! The salsa was also great – not too hot and not too bland. I highly recommend this place based on my visit. The two young guys who waited on me they gave me great customer service from start to finish.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place for awhile but don't really travel in that area much. The young lady that took our order was really sweet and welcoming. After ordering, we sat down and I noticed all the merch hanging on the wall. Their t-shirts state that their tacos are "award winning". I'm thinking to myself, "yeah whatever.." In my opinion, the tacos weren't great. They were phenomenal! So tasty! Every bite was a flavor explosion in my mouth! If these guys opened a location in my neighborhood, I'd easily gain 20 lbs. If your looking for phenomenal tacos, come here. You won't regret it

Yelp
Regarding the Bitchin Burrito . Food: Subpar ,way too much sauce inside and wasn't warm (room temp) even though it was pretty slow (a few people before me) . Service was ok, didn't seem very friendly . I know this is a food review but it's funny how food tastes worse when the service is unfriendly. Ambiance: only seats maybe 15 people. Not a big deal if you're grabbing on the go. Conclusion : Place is overhyped like so many other places . It fails to offer anything new and while it doesn't aim to be authentic , might do better if they did. Go to your local taqueria , this is likely for Non-POC taste buds if u know what I mean . Unlikely to go back.

Yelp
I ordered the "bitching burrito", I didn't like the skinny fries,it was SUPER greasy, steak was kinda cold, the chipotle flavoring wasn't the best. The shrimp was gross because it was kinda cold, fishy with an odor, undercooked, salty, but it was deveined for the most part. The cheese had a strong flavor which was good and I like how they grilled the outside. It was just ok but I would never order any burrito here again. I also ordered the "Dirty Diana" it had beef and it was alright... The chips & salsa were $3.50, unfortunately they were boring plain grocery bought tortillas chips. Ones u buy from the store, so they were cold and looked like they added salt to them but it still didn't mask that generic taste, WAY over priced and the salsa they gave was super mid, no flavor, not much heat, watery! The inside and outside of the location was sooo CLEAN omg, and I loved the music they were playing, however the inside of the restaurant was extremely tiny and had limited seats. They didn't have no chip bar or salsa bar, u have to pay for salsa or chips. The customer service was amazing, the cook was this handsome young guy, and the guy running the orders was super kind. I gave it 3 stars because I'm not a fan of their food all the way, but their customer service was IMPECCABLE , the ambience was CHILL, I would absolutely come back, I loved the location, I hope another location opens in the future that provides more seating.

Michelle C.

Yelp
I had previously given this business a 3 star review based on what I consider to be unauthentic Mexican food and an ambience that I just didn't care for. I actually felt the 3 stars were very generous on my part. My review was honest based on my, and the three others in my party's, experience. After my review, this business proceeded to post my review on social media and bashed me, making themselves look unprofessional (see photo). Then their customers were coming after me. Well here's the deal, I won't be silenced. The food isn't good, in my opinion, period! Furthermore, I hope this review brings some awareness to those trying this establishment that if you don't like it and say so, they will bully you on social media. My reviews are definitely based off of MY experiences. If you look at my history, I have no problems handing out great reviews, when I've had a great experience. But that was not the case here.

Rachel K.

Yelp
I have been back so many times now. Whenever I'm in the area I'll make the effort to stop by to pick up some tacos, even if I need to drive out of the way a bit. My husband is obsessed with the Sac Town Fire Tacos, he gets them without the coleslaw but they're amazing with or without it. The staff is always welcoming and even though it's a small space they make the most of it with some indoor and outdoor tables. You'll often find the owners behind the counter cooking or taking orders and they'll get your food to you pretty quickly, even when they're busy. The plaza has plenty of parking and I usually grab a spot right in front of the restaurant. Other than the Sac Town Fire tacos, I also like to order the Bitchin' Cali Burrito and their horchata. No matter what you try though, the food is fresh and flavorful.

Rodolfo R.

Yelp
I ordered from them last week and didn't have a chance to send a review til now. I ordered their Bitchin' Cali Burrito and thought it was truly bitchin'! Every bite of it was juicy and flavorful; I didn't even need to add salsa to it at all. Don't know what all these one-star reviews are about, but I'll be going back for another one soon. I only gave them 4 stars because anything has room for improvement.

Joey Y.

Yelp
My review keeps getting removed for some reason. I liked the food. But the behavior and response from west coast taco bar is unprofessional. Won't be supporting this business.

Perla C.

Yelp
Good tacos. Great value. They offer plenty of taco varieties for different preferences. Our food came out quickly despite the dinner rush. Small restaurant but had enough to accommodate guests dining in. I noticed they had lots of togo orders.

Keylo P.

Yelp
High quality! The Sac Town fire is definitely a must. The employees there are knowledgeable and friendly.

Yelp
This place is like a classier Dos Coyotes. Definitely get their salsas on the side! Coconut horchata, Sac Town Fire taco, Dirty Diana & bitchin' cali burrito are fantastic. Ambiance: 5/5 Modern & clean. Small indoor seating only. Cool that you can see the cooks making the food in front of you. Service: 5/5 friendly & quick service! To go bag was clean & they put hot & mild salsa in the bag. Food: 5/5 Sauces 5/5 Get the hot & mild on the side. Lobster Taco Special: 4/5 good crunch on the lobster but the corn salsa was a bit overpowering for me. Coconut horchata 5/5 Cinnamon & coconut are fantastic together apparently! Dirty Diana- 5/5 Delicious & balanced. Must get. Sac town fire- 5/5 Surprisingly light & tasty. Could eat 3 of these easy. Korean bbq- 4/5 Really sweet & one note. Would get more veggies on it. 6-hour brisket- 4/5 Very tender but one note compared to Dirty Diana & Sac Town Fire. Bitchin' Cali Burrito: 5/5 The fries in the burrito weren't the crispiest but the asada & shrimp were cooked well with an almost chorizo like flavor. This whole burrito tastes MUCH better if you use their house red or green salsas on it. Glad I got the guacamole on the side as I didn't think it needed much of it. Complimentary chips & salsa: 3/5 Fresh chips but the salsa that went with it didn't add anything for me.

Jared D.

Yelp
Very good food. My favorite was the shrimp taco and second is the mushroom taco. The shrimp was nice and light and the mushroom had a truffles sauce that made it taste great. Besides that the burrito is excellent mix of surf and turf and the fries were delicious.

Karen D.

Yelp
First time here! SERVICE: Excellent. I had a few options in mind and the gentlemen was patient in answering my questions. Serve time was good too. Was there around 6pm. FOOD: *Cali burrito was hearty. Everything in there blended great! Would get again! *Sac Town Fire Taco (no slaw because it has cilantro) - sprinkled with lime juice. No need for salsa because the flavor itself was amazing. *Dirty Diana Taco (no cilantro) - was my favorite! Uh-Mazing! *Carnitas Taco (no cilantro, see my theme?) - my least fave. Carnitas was on the dry side. Had to put salsa on this one. Red salsa was decent. *Coconut Horchata - good! DINING AREA: Clean, but small. We took ours to-go. Will totally come back and repeat the burrito, Sac Town Fire and Dirty Diana tacos, and try the Korean Seoul taco!

Yelp
At the 5th Annual Taco Throw Down, hosted by the Roseville Rotary Club, located in Roseville, CA. As soon as I checked into the event, my "mission" in life was to eat tacos, and my first stop was the pop up restaurant from West Coast Taco Bar. West Coast operates a brick and mortar restaurant in Elk Grove, at the south end of the greater Sacramento metro area. Pop up restaurant operated for the event, so this review isn't for their brick and mortar operation. But, i guess it'll give you an idea of what's in store for you when you visit this amazing restaurant. I went with a carne asada "street taco," grilled by the talented chefs at West Coast Taco Bar, carne asada... does it get any better? This was an all-you-can-eat taco event, so I certainly didn't leave hungry! The taco started out on two perfectly grilled corn tortillas, each about the size of a DVD, which is "street taco" size in Mexico. Next, I enjoyed a generous helping of carne asada - Mexican grilled steak - cut perfectly to size and grilled to perfection by the talented staff. The taco was topped with chopped cilantro, diced whit onion and to my surprise and delight... toppings of grilled and breaded chicharones! Oh my! Unlike other restaurants at the event, West Coast's tacos didn't have any crema or anything else... as the standalone amazing taste spoke for itself. Now you're talking about a delicious taco! These tacos are as good as a taco gets! West Coast Taco Bar was my first stop on today's event and they earned my vote for "best taco."

Yelp
It's located in a shopping plaza where parking is easy. The shop inside is nice and clean with limited space to sit inside. There are a few tables outside which is nice for the nice weather to enjoy tacos with. The restroom is clean, fresh, and fancy, just go use it and see for yourself. . Tacos - dirty Diana- birria tacos, no need to say more. It's good and juicy. . Shrimp tacos - definitely tasty butter shrimps and if your a shrimp lover. It's a must get. . Truffle taco - damn it got me to do a happy dance on the first bite. Must get out of all three. . Coconut horachata - it was creamy, sweet, and nice Coconut milk flavor. I would re order or try it again because it's different. . Overall the food here is great. One taco such as the truffle was under 5 bucks but for quality and specialty. Drinks were around 5 bucks and they had a variety of good ones too. If you love sweet and slushie, then get that because it was sweet icy good. I had a fun experience supporting small businesses. Hope this helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day!

Yelp
Hands down this place will definitely be my go to for my taco cravings! My first time here and from the jump my friend and I were greeted by both young men as we walked in. They were both helpful and patient with us since it was our first time. The ambience is bright and it's cool to eat with a friend or even for a date in the daytime. I'm definitely coming back here.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Small Place is clean with a few tables inside. Outside patio is clean with a few tables also. Service was quick even though we came at lunch rush. Food was great. I recommend the Dirty Diana and Sactown tacos. I must try their burrito next time. Need to take photos on next visit.

Yelp
Top tier tacos!! West Coast Taco Bar came highly recommended by a co-worker of mine and after checking out the menu, pics and reviews we decided to try them asap. They are nestled in a small shopping center near Old Town Elk Grove and with the sign being rather small it can easily be missed. The interior is so cute and I love the decor and photo op wall. The customer service is top notch as you're greeted as soon as you walk in. The menu is rather small and straight to the point, it mainly consists of tacos, a few burritos, sides, corn and drinks. I was told the Bitchin' Cali Burrito was very good but instead opted to try the tacos. You can get 3 tacos for $11 or 4 tacos for $14 and if you choose some of the specialty tacos there may be an additional charge. I ordered the Pollo a la Brasa, Korean BBQ, Sac Town Fire and then added a 6-Hour Brisket Taco. For my drink I ordered the Watermelon Agua Fresca just plain but you can get it with tajin and chamoy. What I do like is with every order they give you fresh chips and salsa. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, while waiting for the food we pretty much downed the chips and salsa. The chips were really fresh and the salsa was good and had great flavor with a little bit of spice. Now to the tacos, the Pollo a la Brasa was my favorite it had Peruvian grilled chicken, marinated onions, cotija cheese and Verde salsa. It had so much flavor and the chicken was moist and seasoned very well. My other favorite was the Sac Town Fire which was garlic shrimp in a red mole tortilla with slaw, jalapeno and sriracha aioli. This was really good and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and I really liked the red mole tortilla but be careful because it was extremely spicy. I wasn't a huge fan of the Korean BBQ which was Bulgogi style pork with jalapeno, slaw and sriracha aioli. I feel like if it were made with beef instead of pork it would have been better and it just needed a little more flavor. The brisket taco was good but wayyyy too spicy for me and the brisket could have been a little more tender. Overall, this place is really good, the tacos are good and very unique. It seems to be very popular with locals as it was packed with people and the customer service is top notch. I highly recommend trying if you're in the area and I will be back!

Ha T.

Yelp
Their California burrito is so yummy and did I mention it's loaded with carne asada AND shrimp? If you try anything here I'd def recc the burrito!!! I was able to place an online order and had no issues picking it up on time. There's some seating inside and plenty of parking out front!

Phenny S.

Yelp
We came here for their grand opening. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. They were somewhat busy but accommodated everyone. The food was good. The tacos were good and they gave Yelp members only a hot sauce. My sister ordered the asada fries I thought the pickled onions was really good I wasn't a fan of the horchata they use coconut milk I believe not too big of a fan of that Overall food was decent, ambiance was clean and nice, staff was helpful and attentive

Stephanie H.

Yelp
West Coast Taco Bar has some delicious menu options. Specifically, my two favorite items are the Sac Town Fire tacos and the Bitchin' Cali Burrito. I have now tried 6 of 8 of their taco options and I can confirm that "Sac Town Fire" remains my favorite taco from West Coast Taco. I'm not even going to bother trying the other two. I've tried the following tacos: Dirty Diana, Sac Town Fire, Korean Seoul, Anaheim Pig, Bella Truffle, and Chicken Adobada. I've also had the Mexican Street Corn & Asada Fries, and I enjoyed both of these menu items. The Cali Burrito is really good; probably my favorite item on the menu; the flavor combination from the fries, carne asada, and shrimp is really good. Service was ok. They remain steadily busy, and the staff do seem tired from the shift. I do think they are a tad bit overpriced, since I know I can get similar food for less at other businesses, but the taste of a few of the selections off their menu makes it worth coming to West Coast Taco Bar!

RJ A.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and I can confirm that it's legit! Of all the tacos I've tried the Korean one is my favorite. The bulgogi meat has a delicious marinade and the flavors of the meat, sauce and flour tortilla all go really well together. It might not be listed as "award winning" but I think it's better than the Dirty Diana and I highly recommend! The Bella truffle is another one I'd recommend. I was a little skeptical about a mushroom arugula taco but man do these flavors work! Truffle is everywhere these days but this truffle cream is the real deal. It's not like a taco I've ever had before but do yourself a favor and try it! For transparency I'm allergic to shellfish so I've never tried the Bitchin Cali burrito or Sactown Fire taco. The pork burrito was a good size and you will certainly feel full after eating one! It had a slight higher proportion of rice than I usually prefer in a burrito but the flavors were on point so I didn't care too much. Have children? It's not posted on the menu but they do quesadillas and kids burritos too. The quesadilla was higher and lasted two meals for my son. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean. There are some tables inside but I think they know takeout is their focus which helps keep prices down. Elk Grove isn't known for delicious Mexican food but that might be changing.

Peggy N.

Yelp
Tacos were so good - so flavorful and they don't skimp on the meat! Got the 3 taco platter - Classic Asada, Korean soul and Dirty diana. Also got the asada fries and they were delicious as well. They give free chips and salsa too. Excellent service to top it off as well. Wish it was closer to me, highly recommend!

Regina N.

Yelp
West Coast Taco Bar. The name says it all. They do tacos the way we like it over here! West Coast is tucked away in a tiny space right next to Smart and Final, and the outdoor seating is basic with a view of the parking lot, but when the food is this amazing, fancy frills decor won't matter. Although they do have an photo worthy wall inside and the space is super clean. It's a straight forward self service kinda place, which seems to be the norm nowadays. You order at the front, wait around and pick up your food at the counter, and then clean up after yourself using the one trash bin by the door. Food was amazing and had me craving for more. Tacos: - Dirty Diana (Birria) 5/5* : juicy birria cooled down with pickled onions - Sactown Fire (Shrimp) 5/5* : not really spicy, but shrimps were so plump and garlicky! My favorite out of them all. - Anaheim Pig 4/5* : was good but not memorable compared to the Dirty Diana and Sactown Fire - Chicken Adobada 5/5* : juiciest chicken taco ever - Bella Truffle (Mushroom) 2/5*: nice vegan choice but didn't taste the truffle and was too plain. It needed more variety in toppings. - Classic Asada 5/5* : full of flavor Bitchin' Cali Burrito 5/5* This burrito was freaking huuuge!! And it wasn't packed with rice and beans the way some Mexican places do it. It had a nice ratio of everything and the proteins were definitelypacked in. If you can fit it in your mouth, you get a taste of all the flavors in one bite - the shrimp so plump it snaps when you bite it, salty flavorful asada, gooey cheese, creaminess of the guac and chipotle sauce, and of course our favorite West Coast addition to burritos..crunchy fries! Mexican Street Corn 5/5* Were these corn grown on steriods?! Where do they even find corn this big? The kernels were fat little plump babies and so sweet. For a saucy eater, I loved that they weren't skimpy on the crema and cotija. It was SLATHERED on there and sooo creamy! Peach Wine Slushie 3/5* It was refreshing on a hot day, but like all wine slushies, too weak and just tasted like a juicy drink. Very cute touch with the umbrella though. Coconut Horchata 4/5* The horchata had a deep rich flavor, but couldn't really taste the coconut. So glad EG has a modern Mex fusion-ish spot that isn't your typical greasy Mexican food. The tacos here are amazing and you must get the award winning Bitchin' Cali Burrito. It'll change your life! They are generous with their ingredients and although the menu is small, the food is quality and packed full of flavor. I have been back several times, but still find myself craving for more.

Blanche M.

Yelp
I'm surprised I haven't written a review about this place sooner. I love this place! My go to order is their Cali burrito without fries and their tacos. I'm not one for Mexican food, but my belly always has room for west coast taco bar. I think we've been in a roll ordering from this place once a week. If you're in need of some good Mexican food, and being really flavorful--go here! Service is quick and food is delicious.

Veronica D.

Yelp
Tried this taco spot for the first time. The food was good. Favs were the Sactown fire and Bella truffle. The beans and rice were good. The street corn was just okay. Service was friendly. Ambiance was okay - note it's a smaller place with limited seating.

Ben T.

Yelp
The first time you try West Coast Taco Bar, you can understand why there's a lot of buzz and hype about this place. The location is cute, but small. There's probably only 3 or 4 tables, and then a L-shaped counter-style tabletop thing in the opposite corner of their small place. If it's busy, it'll probably make it difficult for people to find seating. There is some seating set up outside, but that may not be the most appealing choice when it's hot outside. So if it's that signature 100+ heat in Sac, you'll probably want to try aim for a time when it's less busy so you can benefit from the amazing sensation of air conditioning. Indoors, the unique setup of the place allows you to watch the kitchen and smell everything coming out, and it adds to the experience. There's also the very in-trend neon signage with greenery background. For those super interested in the IG or social media posting, it'll probably be cute for that. We did see quite a few patrons take the opportunity to do so. I got the Asada fries, and they were solid. There is a lot of cheese taste though, but it isn't surprising if you read the description. In addition to the topping of cotija, there is a three-cheese blend. It was good, but for those that don't like cheese that much, I would suggest looking elsewhere on the menu. I also got a watermelon agua fresca, and that was really refreshing. It tasted less like watermelon, and more like melon/cantaloupe. I'm not complaining though, as I love that flavor profile. If you're looking for the street taco experience, I wouldn't come here. They're good tacos, but pricy. I'd drive down a few miles to South Sac for a more taco truck experience, in both atmosphere and price.

Kristina M.

Yelp
West Coast Taco bar is a fun taco place to check out if you are a fan of tacos and burritos. If you are vegetarian or a meat lover, you will like what this place has to offer! I like the menu items names and the fun taco sign when you walk in. This business is witty and clever! When you walk in you will see a digital menu on the TV screens. You will also be able to place your order at the counter. Next to the counter you will see your food being made fresh to order which is nice. There is bar seating inside and minimal table seating as this location is fairly small. There are options outside too for seating. As for parking, there's plenty of it in front and around. This business is near other businesses in a shopping area. This place is worth checking out. Can't wait to go back again to check out the burrito and fries!

David B.

Yelp
Took my daughter here for lunch to grab some tacos and revisit as it had been a while since I was last there. It was rather busy for a weekday lunch time which was good to see. The parking lot is rather large so parking is not an issue. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating As we decided to pretty much try one of everything on the menu. The dirty Diana was still my favorite of all with their take of a Korean taco still coming in second. All of the tacos were well flavored and well representative of what they were. It took about 10-12 minutes for the food to be ready so the service was also pretty good on getting the food out. We sampled pretty much everything they had and they were all good,, but you do have to order the dirty Diana and Korean taco. Just saying.

Kafilat Y.

Yelp
Was kraving a burrito and found this place via Yelp. *HIGHLY* recommend, especially if you are in the Elk Grove area. It's nice not having to drive all the way to Sacramento (or further) for quality burritos or creative tacos, this place hits the spot!

Kelly Y.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because it was rated so highly and the flavour combos were up my alley. The shop itself is pretty small and gets busy quickly. They offer free chips& salsa and free water. Parking was pretty easy because it's located in a big plaza. We ordered 7 tacos in total and asked multiple times for no cilantro because my partner and I have sensitivity and the staff assured us that there wouldnt be cilantro. For the tacos themselves, the flavors were strong. I have a pretty low spice tolerance and the sac town fire taco was really hot! I would have really enjoyed the korean taco but unfortunately there were chunks of cilantro throughout even though cilantro isn't in the description for this specific taco. It was a miss for me because I specifically asked for no cilantro and there was a good amount of cilantro hidden throughout the tacos, so I unfortunately wasn't able to eat any of the tacos. The way the cilantro was sporadically in parts of the tacos makes me think that the cilantro is either mixed in with other ingredients or mayve they don't change their gloves enough to avoid this. Good place to try if you don't have any food sensitivities!

Yelp
Great tacos! I am from Baja, and this tacos are fancy street tacos! The food here is pretty good, loved everything that we tried here. We got the carne asada, dirty Diana, Anaheim pig, the shrimp, Pibil, the street corn.. was so fresh and delicious. Definitely, will come back for their 5 star food. The service was very very slow, they only had one cashier to take order and pack their order at the same time . Felt bad for her, it's too much work load plus it did made every customer to wait in line for at least 5-10 extra minute until she gets to help you. Once you starts to talk to her, she is super friendly but that doesn't make up the waiting .. The place is super small, the need to moved out there and goes to a bigger place .. specially when their food is so good. They have food but need a better location and a extra hands of help!

Yelp
Tried the carne asada fries. 4 types of tacos. And the Cali Burrito. If I had to choose the burrito stands out. Plenty of shrimp and meat. The other items were ok. Didn't like the mole infused tortillas on the tacos. But had to try it. Restaurants clean and the staff's friendly. I would go again for the burrito.

Yelp
Checked this spot out after seeing the great reviews and I'm always down for a good street taco place near home. I was warmly greeted immediately upon entering. As a first timer, I asked the cashier which three tacos were the most popular and that's what I ordered. They also have elote!! Of course, I had to order that too because I'm a sucker for elote. The wait wasn't bad at all, maybe 10 - 15 minutes max. Everything was nicely packaged for take out. All the staff, including the cooks, were so friendly and the ambience in this small place was relaxing. My order: - Dirty Diana - Anaheim Pig - Korean Seoul - Mexican Street Corn (Elote) At first, I felt the tacos were too small, but after eating my second loaded taco, I now feel the serving size is just right for me and like the serving size. The only taco I didn't care for was the Korean Seoul because it wasn't on a corn tortilla and after the different flavors from the other two tacos, I think it just threw me off. However, it is flavorful, and I can see someone more into this combo of Asian spices and flour tortilla appreciating this one. The other two tacos were delicious and packed with meat. I will definitely order those again. The elote waa pretty good. I'm used to a more grilled corn, but the corn was cooked through, toppings were abundant, and well packaged to not ruin the toppings, unlike other places that wrap it in foil, which removes a lot of topping upon opening. I'm happy to find my new taco spot! The 5 star rating includes the great customer service, which is a big deal for me, and in combination with good flavor, holds a lot of weight for me.

Yelp
Definitely worth the drive. Second time, two weeks in a row. Classic and Unique tacos. Favorites: Truffle, Korean, and Burris (Dirty Diana) And Coconut Horchata ! Free parking.

Yelp
The expectations are not high because they had one cook. Well that didn't discourage the cook. The food looked as advertised and was packaged well for the price. You can not complain. I got the taco of assorted flavors and then the fries put an extra spin on the way carne asada fries are made and pretty much setting a standard on a good meal for 2. I do encourage combos to include drink to continue to give it that authenticity. The service was well timed for a timed placement and the truck is very curb appreciated.

Yelp
I kept hearing about this place so had to come check it out! Cute little spot next to Smart & Final on Elk Grove bivd. I ordered a 3 plate with the Dirty Diana (Birria), sac town fire (garlic shrimp), and Anaheim pig (carnitas). Omg they don't skimp out on the meat!! And all tacos were PACKED with flavor. They also give complimentary chips & salsa. Definitely coming back to try more :)

Yelp
First time here and we will be coming back. We had the Dirty Diana, Korean, Sac, Corn and poblano tacos. Dirty Diana was the best choice. The Corn and Poblano was really good too! I'm not a fan of Horchata but I was given a sample of the Coconut Horchata and this is the only place I'll drink it! Pleasantly surprised! Service was great too, I believe it was the owner at the register. He offered free chips and salsa. We didn't have to wait long at all either. Great food and good service

Yelp
Fantastic. The tacos are fresh and burst with taste. The service is excellent. A must stop if you are in the area.

Yelp
Great customer service: welcomed by staff members, thanked and encouraged to come back. Love their commradery team work, having fun and outgoing. Love seeing happy teamwork and great customer service. Kudos! Traditional and creative menu, variety in options, reasonable prices, cool light up digital menu but also printed menus available. I ordered the traditional carne asada street tacos. Small Tania packed with more than generous serving of delicious carne asada meat then topped with cilantro and onion, served with lime slices. If you eat in you receive salsa and chips, Indoor tables and taco bar eating areas, outdoor tables and seating, too. Single gender neutral bathroom, West Coast Tacos branded t shirts. Restaurant is very clean, employees are neat and clean wearing branded items. West coast tacos didn't disappoint!

Yelp
Wow! Nice to see a great little Taco shop tucked away in those part of Elk Grove. When the lovely wife told me about this place I was excited to see another business grow into brick and mortar shop. West Coast Taco is definitely a low key location with a few tables outside and a small setting area in the interior but was definitely bright with new monitors showing all their offerings. I think they were having slight bathroom issues when I visited but I attribute this more to the building owner and don't think they should be docked for this. Service was great and they got our order done really quick. The presentation especially on the Lobster Taco was great. From my. understanding they don't always have it on the menu and this visit was from awhile back but it was amazing and really loved the selection of tacos that we picked. The callbacks to Sacramento on the menu are great and really enjoyed all the menu items. I was surprised about how much I enjoyed the dirty Diana but overall I think I would probably get a mixture of items on the plate again because they all tasted great!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem! Their 6 hour braised tacos was divine (9/10) and their horchata tastes freshly made. The only one I didn't like so much was the burrito (6/10). It tasted too bland and the meat needed more flavor. Everything else including their service, was lovely. Ambiance was nice and chill very clean. Would keep checking out the rest of their menu.

Yelp
These tacos are fire!! I love the variety of flavors to choose from. So far I've tried the Carne Asada, Dirty Diana (birria) and the Pollo a La Brasa (Peruvian chicken) but the star is the Sac Town Fire shrimp taco. This taco is perfection... flavorful and delicious. Seasoned grilled shrimp, the chipotle sauce and the mole tortilla is such a perfect bite! Squeeze some lime and add a little salsa and I'm good. You can only order in combos of 3 or 4 tacos, but it's a great way to try different flavors. Nice service and no long wait, much needed and appreciated in Elk Grove.

Yelp
Not going to lie, the name "Bitchin' Cali Burrito" was the main reason we came here. It immediately caught our attention and was probably the best thing we could've ordered. It's super flavorful and super filling. It was super good that my only complaint is it was so filling, I couldn't eat the other things I ordered. We also ordered a bunch of tacos to try as well. I honestly can't tell which is which since it wasn't marked. I just know Korean Seoul due to the Bulgogi and the Sac Town Fire was the red one. Korean Seoul was the best out of those for me and was the most flavorful in my opinion. We also got the Bella Truffle, Anaheim Pig, and theDirty Diana, but I couldn't taste the difference to tell them apart. Food wise, I would recommend getting the Bitchin Cali and Korean Seoul for sure.

Yelp
First off, the owners are kind and are working hard, not managing from home. Their menu is very unique with the names of the items available and everything is delicious! I either go for the shrimp tacos or the very filling burritos. This is a can't miss, small business owned restaurant!

Yelp
Kind staff. Amazing food. Cute inside. Elote was amazing. Best unique tacos I've had in sac. Definitely would recommend.

Yelp
Solid 4 star joint. The inside isn't anything special; very simple and plain - doesn't really have an ambiance. You order at the counter when you enter and then they'll call you when your order is ready or they may even bring it a few feet further to your table if they're not too busy. Regardless, you don't come here for the atmosphere, you come for the food -- and the food is definitely above average when it comes to taco bars. They have specialty tacos with terrific flavors, prices are a bit on the high side but still fairly reasonable (about $5 per taco). You can likely find basic tacos at half the price from a local joint or taco truck, but if you're looking for something a step-up from basic and don't mind spending more for those extra flavors then this place is for you.

Yelp
If you love tacos as much as I do you'll love this place too! This is a great taco bar in the Elk Grove area. They have plenty of options for how many tacos you think you can eat. When I went I just got 3 tacos for about 19 bucks which is a solid deal. My favorite taco was the dirty Diana this taco had me dancing like Micheal Jackson after I ate it! I also really like the sac town fire taco and the Anaheim pig. The meats, sauces, and melted cheeses on these tacos come together to make these tacos magic! I need to come back and try a burrito and asada fries.

Yelp
The service here was sub-par from the first time I came in. The lady at the register didn't seem very communicative with customers in line. Even though it wasn't as busy, my food still took forever to come out. The tortilla chips seemed underbaked since it didn't have a crunch to it and took forever to bite through. I tried three different tacos. The only one worth noting was the Dirty Diana. That one has a nice flavor profile. The Anaheim Pig sounds cool with it's pork rinds, but it doesn't deliver with flavor. I don't know if I'd come back here again. Maybe if they had a new taco.

Yelp
Very high quality taco spot. Everything was super flavorful and I came here with high expectations since I've heard good things about this place and my expectations were met. The service was fast and friendly and the tacos came out fast. It is a small dine-in area but we were able to get a table since it seems a lot of people take it to go. I highly recommend the pollo a la brasa taco and I'll definitely be back to try more.

Yelp
Solid spot for tacos and burritos. Price point is worth it for the high quality of food. Best Cali burrito in town!
