"The West Deck is built on—you guessed it—a large deck overlooking the water at Governor’s Bay Beach outside of downtown Oranjestad. It’s the ultimate laid-back spot for an easy dinner after a long day in the sand or before a late-night swim at the pool. Plus, if you’re dying for one last taste of Aruba before you drag yourself onto your flight home, West Deck is less than 10 minutes away from the airport. Their zippy garlic shrimp, slightly spicy jerk chicken wings, and crispy Balashi-battered grouper fingers are hands down better than anything you’ll find in the terminal." - Jacqueline Dole

Great waterfront restaurant with great food. We visited this restaurant after taking a boat charter for most of the day. The boat picked us up and dropped us off right on the beach here. The restaurant cooked the fish that we caught for $17 each which I felt was reasonable. The side dishes we ordered were all delicious and so were the ribs that my wife ordered (she does not eat fish). I highly recommend checking out West Deck whether you have your own fish to cook or not!

Ocean front bar - we had a great meal and fast friendly service. The grouper was seasoned amazingly and the fish cake was darn good. Music was thumping, drinks were flowing and food was goad. The ocean breeze was blowing and the rum tasted just right. Glad we found this place.

We had tacos and one of the best lime margaritas you can drink. Our servers name was Jojo. She was great and kept us hydrated. Give her a raise

I had the Balashi Grouper fingers which immediately reminded me of battered Cod fish (fish and chips); not bad though with the creamy tarragon sauce…I also had the Baby Fried Snapper which was seasoned pretty well. It was a nice size and tasted delicious. My girl had the Sticky Glazed BBQ Ribs and Jerk Chicken Wings which she enjoyed very much because only bones were left on her plate! Her main dish was the Spicy Jerk Shrimps which were ok but the Caribbean Rice was really good. The prices were reasonable as well! The atmosphere was pleasant. My server Abigail was nice and very attentive, thank you for the 5 ⭐️ service.

Good dinner or lunch spot on the water. We didn’t have a reservations so got seated below the deck so the view wasn’t that great. There was also some sort of sand flea or bug biting us the whole time. The food was pretty good, no major complaints or compliments.

Very traditional Caribbean feel. It’s right on the water, so you get a great view of the sunset. We sat in the lower section in the back and it was so vibey with lots of trees and lights. Highly recommend getting the jerk chicken wings. One of the wings was a shrimp by mistake, so make sure you are checking if you have any kind of shellfish allergy. The service was EXTREMELY SLOW. After our appetizers came, we waited an hour for our food to come, so expect to wait long if it’s busy. Food was pretty good all around, would still recommend checking it out if you’re in the area for that traditional Caribbean meal and feel.

Excellent place to grab a bite to eat. Highly recommend getting the fish cakes for an appetizer and the pirates pot for dinner. Atmosphere was great love that they had a live steel drum player

One of the best restaurants in Aruba with great sunset view. Great vibes. We ordered island fish sliders, coconut shrimp, carribean bread basket and carribean jerk chicken wings. Everything was delicious. Loved the place and food.
