If I could give zero stars, I would. SIX MONTHS of my time wasted. In a brief description, I was up sold credit cards with incorrect rewards information. I was sold a couch with the wrong side chaise and wrong material - waited months to find all this out. No call, no text, no show to the first scheduled delivery. Literally just ghosted on my scheduled delivery date. Sent in circles a dozen times. Finally, when the couch arrived, it was made in the wrong material and way smaller than it was in the store, looked like it was made from Temu. AWFUL!!! (See photos) The communication between the store and the hub where these products come into is atrocious nobody is on the same page you get different stories each time. By far are some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire 40 years of life! Save your money and time.

A lot to be said about West Elm furniture quality. Ordered a $3500 Andes chaise sectional at this store and regret it greatly. Back cushions are misshapen and lumpy providing no back support. After only a few months seat cushions started sagging to the point where they flatten and stick out beyond the frame. And it’s all with very light use. The cushion inserts were falsely advertised as fiber/foam filling and turned out to be cheap poly fiber. What you sit on in show room is nowhere close to what you will receive. After months of dealing with customer service they sent me new cores and again, the back cushion inserts were poly fiber that starts breaking up after few weeks of use. Was told by ‘quality control’ there is not supposed to be foam in back inserts which does not line up with sofa description on their site. Complete scam

We might as well live here because we come here so much. For those of you who are unaware, west elm offers free designing and will come to your home to suggest various pieces for your home. Ana was our representative and she helped us through the whole design process coming over, taking measurements etc. We then met her in store a few days later to go over recommendations. We chose a few pieces and she was very patient with us as we chose some forever items for our space. When it comes to ordering furniture we understand that there are delivery delays etc. with West Elm it’s been a smooth process every step of the way. Our couch that recently got delivered was in pristine brand new condition and the delivery folks were super professional, even putting on shoe covers when they walked in. We highly recommend this location. Everyone is very friendly and the items west elm has are all immaculate. We will continue to work with Ana any chance we get. She has been more than helpful as we try to upgrade our living spaces.

West Elm is a lovely store with furniture you can’t help but appreciate. Whether you need furniture or decor, this store has something you’ll love. The question is whether you’ll want to pay the price for it. But in my experience, it lasts long and it’s worth the penny you pay. This store is much preferred over their Scottsdale Quarter location, too, due to the selection and design center.

I'm basically giving them an interest free loan for months now Original: We ordered furniture here and our expected delivery time keeps changing. A chaise chair originally slated for one month then delayed 3 months. They expect 6 months for a bed frame. Are they cutting the tree now or what. Go to crate and barrel instead

Their payment process is so weird. You could use your Tap pay, Apple pay, or Google pays for small decor, gift cards, or even a $1000 gift card. However, if you want to buy furniture, you have to enter your debit or credit card number on their PC, which I don't like. I can do the same thing at home, with my PC. And the review about the delay deliver is real, and I have to wait four months for my bookshelf which they display in their store. They said they only display and sell small decor. The staff is friendly and wants to help you, but the company payment process is crazy and ridiculous.

My wife and I have had a terrible experience with receiving our couch. One of our pieces was missing in the delivery. There was a box labeled as part of our couch that actually contained patio furniture that I didn’t purchase. West Elm doesn’t know where the middle section of our $5,500 couch is located. It’s just gone. The worst part is the couch is back ordered and customer service told me I have to wait at the back of the line before production on my couch starts. Oh, and I don’t have the option to return it. They have offered no help or compensation. For a brand that advertises itself as high end, they have performed well below average. Bottom line, if you want a luxury couch, purchase from a company that values their customer and backs up their product.

I hope anyone who is buying furniture from this place sees this review first and stays away. To make a long story short, this place is a joke and will not treat you as a customer or even make sure you receive your furniture. I ordered 3 things from here and only received one of them. One of the items was a $1,439 mattress that they left on my front porch during the work week at 3:00pm while I was not home. Furthermore, they did not require a signature when they delivered the mattress even though I literally paid a delivery fee. I never gave them permission to do this with my mattress. Their only way of notifying me that I received my mattress was via an email that got lost in my spam, so I only found out that my $1,439 mattress had gotten stolen when we called to see what was going on with my mattress and the other package that I also had not received. I could go on and on about how they treated the mattress situation. But to make a long story short, they refused to take any responsibility for mishandling my $1,439 mattress and would not provide me a new one or refund me. Their reasoning was that “it was their partner Leesa Mattress that mishandled the package” and there was proof of delivery. This proof of delivery was never sent to me by the way. It was only sent to me after the fact so they could argue they didn’t need to refund me or provide me a new one. Again, despite the proof of delivery, they left such an expensive item on my front porch without ensuring a signature was required to make sure I received it, or even properly notifying me it was delivered. As I mentioned, I did not authorize them to do this and I was also charged a delivery fee. They still refused to take any responsibility for this even though I did not give anyone permission to do this with my package. They also seem to have no issue partnering with businesses that do not treat their customers’ expensive purchases right, so that alone should say a lot about them. I am now having to dispute this charge to make sure I do not get charged for something I never even received. Even then, for all I know this may not go in my favor and I may be responsible for a $1,439 mattress I never received. The other item was a $600 table that was literally never delivered. This was not one of their partners so they have no excuse for this. The day my bed frame was delivered, my table was also supposed to be delivered. The people that delivered it said they did not have the table and that I needed to call West Elm. Again, I could go on and on about how they handled this situation. But again to make a long story short, literally no one knew what was going on with my table and where it was at. I also got conflicting answers at one point as someone tried to say it was delivered while multiple people had already said it wasn’t and that they didn’t know what was going on with it. After finally canceling this item, it is now being treated as a return. This makes no sense as I can’t return something I never even received. The issue with this is that they are waiting to receive the item first before they do anything about refunding me the charge. They don’t even know what’s going on with the table or where it’s at, so I doubt they’ll try and resolve this in my favor. I will most likely have to do another dispute to get the table resolved too. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Update: I am now being forced to be fully responsible for this $1,439 mattress I did not receive. Unfortunately, capital one was incredibly negligent in handling my dispute and overlooked important details I thoroughly explained in my dispute. All it took was West Elm sending proof that I ordered the mattress, then a picture that it was delivered (before being stolen). After encouraging me to submit a dispute, West Elm went out of their way to make sure it did not go in my favor. West Elm is incredibly crooked. Stay away from this place.

I'm rating as a four because over all the merchandise is high quality and the staff is helpful and friendly. Like any other retail business the merchandise goes through cycles based on the buyers. Right now much of the lighting is very appealing and priced reasonably. A lot of West elms merchandise is a bit pricey in my opinion. I fell in the love with the Mitchel table lamp and ended now buying a second. The design is mid century contemporary. 70s with 2025 appeal. The glass is decently cut and build and the lighting itself is warm but not official. I have my eye on a bar piece next. My only annoyance with west elm is that if you order something and it's not available in store they charge you shipping even to pick it up. The associates excuse was lame today. She said it's because it's not a store but a display center. Funny last time you had the item available in store and there wasn't a shipping charge. I decided to ignore her robot response and take the lamp home even with the $9 shipping charge. Buyer beware though unlike other retailers you will pay shipping even if it's ship to store.

I am very disappointed by the process of buying thru West Elm. I bought 4 kitchen chairs (about $850). I was told the chairs needed assembly. Being pretty handy, I said what the heck, it can't be too complicated. It was not complicated, but it was incredibly difficult to execute. Only six screws with washers and lock washers. The overriding issue was that it was next to impossible to get required access to where the nuts and washers belonged and the tools could be handy. As such, it took far longer to assemble than anticipated. I believe if one was not handy with tools and some wood working skills, most people would not get this done. I'm glad we were ultimately able to get the job done, BEWARE IF YOU ARE NOT TERRIBLY HANDY.

After 6 months the Harmony sofa arm collapsed when my 13 year old son leaned on it. We called and they wouldn't cover the repair. They said we accepted the sofa as is when a small support leg was missing and gave us a credit. This support leg had nothing to do with an arm collapsing which will not cost us over $500 to repair. The quality is sub par to crate and barrel and pottery barn. Do not buy sofas from them.

I'm not sure if anyone worked here, as I didn't see a sales person in site! There was no one to greet the group of us who entered the store at the sametime I stopped in for a housewarming gift and to look for a particular design of furniture since I donated my good quality, sturdy furniture... but, due to the sales people not being accessible... I was only able to browse. I did see a couple of things I liked but, I'm sure because of this store, being a smaller business that, the prices were pretty spendy due to that!!! They had a 20% sale on select items (on accessories). I really liked a couch I found in here but, I need to inquire on all of the colors offered in that design since it was Unique. Cute store with cute furniture but I do need to return to check if the furniture is sturdy and of great quality. There's plenty of parking onsite.

My husband and I purchased the harmony sectional a year and a half ago. When purchasing the couch we selected a performance fabric as we expected to have this couch for years to come. A few months ago I started to notice pilling on one of the cushions. All of the cushions have pilling all over them now, so I called customer service to see what they could do. The representative told me the performance fabric we selected has a low rub count, and this type of pilling is expected, there is nothing they can do. We have had the couch a year and a half, it looks terrible. The couch was over $4,000 - extremely disappointed with this product and the service received.

This is the 3rd product in last few years I purchased that is extremely poor quality! Surface level beautiful but cheap and unacceptable (especially at the prices they charge). They pretend to compete with Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel but they are Ashley with pretty showrooms. I will NEVER buy from them again. Pillow cover is disintegrating! It is decorative! No one has leaned against it or used it in any way. Thought there was lint on it and no...it's basically a hole. I look more closely and there are multiple spots. Of course no offer to return because it is outside 30 days! West Elm Azalea Pillow Cover DO NOT SPEND $49 on this cheap piece of cloth. All the reviews are to be believed. It's a matter of time before they file for bankruptcy after they take everyone's money. They will claim it is the economy when it is actually mismanagement and the use of cheap suppliers. Goodbye forever West Elm.

Was shopping online to try and purchase new bedding. They had a photo online with all I wanted. I called in to have someone help me add all items to cart or put the order together. They tried for less than a few minutes and stated "No they can't do it, sorry" I wasn't happy, but figured I could do it myself with a bit of time. So I did it, once you know how to find associated items, not too hard. I then used their chat box online and explained situation and asked if they had a possible curtesy discount due to the bad customer service and the fact that I just worked for them over an hour to buy. Chat operator was rude and just plain said NO. So i'd take your bus somewhere else. I am.

And it's all with very light 130lbs one person use. Opened a claim with West Elm and was told all this is due to wear! After 7 months!! Andes is advertised as 4/5 firmness contract level furniture but what had arrived is nowhere close to that. Low quality materials that do not last. What you get to sit on in their showroom is not the same product you receive. Complete scam.

Nice store. It's listed as an outlet but most everything was regular price. Quality furniture for sure. Can't speak to the service as no one acknowledged us at any point during our visit. I'll take that over being hounded but at least being asked if you need anything is nice. The store itself is clean and has some very interesting pieces; not just furniture but accessories as well.

Ceci, Interior Design Services, deserves 5 stars and was incredibly helpful! Unfortunately, that is the only thing that went right with my order. The customer service for getting my furniture delivered was awful! The tracking email wouldn't update and I called multiple times in order to get updates. I scheduled my delivery for October 26 th and found it odd I was not getting any updates for my delivery time window. I called today to try to get an update and they said someone cancelled the delivery but no communication with me about the cancellation nor any explanation. I would not have known this had I not called since their tracking email NEVER updated! For as much as furniture costs here - it is not worth the hassle. I won't be buying again. :(

Ordered early January 2nd, and waited weeks to receive. Day of delivery, told that the couch was 'destroyed' in the shipping process. Now we are 'back in the queue' waiting for it to deliver in MAY!!! Seriously? The second delivery is going to take twice as long as the first delivery??? For a mistake made by West Elm? Horrible service and was not a good price to begin with. Such a waste of time and money.

We purchased a media console at about 2k, which we received damaged. We asked the delivery guy to take it back. Instead, he suggested keeping it until customer service schedules a new delivery and sends us another one. Now, after three weeks, the customer service does not budge and leaves me a voicemail that there is no problem with the item we've received! I literally can't wrap my head around how bad and irresponsible the custom service could be!!!

The leg broke off the couch. I have been repeatedly promised I would be sent a replacement and then the following day the order was canceled. Please provide your information so that I can file arbitration or a lawsuit against your company for the failure to provide a replacement. You claim Ïtems damaged through normal wear and tear are covered. I am a 58-year-old woman with a small dog. My couch doesn't even get normal wear and tear. It gets less wear and tear. I will also point out that after going through customer service several times I am now being extorted to pay $15.00 for management to look at my complaint. I was refused to speak to management from customer service. The price point can be a little high for some but you can still fid a lot of pieces within reason. When shopping for quality furniture you can expect to pay a little more and it shows with the craftsmanship. The selection is perfect and the service is top notch.

I bought a sectional from this store last Summer. I was looking to purchase chairs with the same fabric, but I had forgotten the name of the fabric. Stephanie was able to look up my prior purchase, and confirm the fabric was the same. I was able to order the chairs with her, over the phone, which made the process super easy. I love my sectional, and can't wait for the chairs to come in. The staff is always super helpful!

I purchased an 2 outdoor chairs from West Elm (thinking that they back their product and that it would be quality) but one of the chairs is falling apart and customer service says "due to the age they can't help". They don't offer repair or assistance with replacement. The chair was $650. Buyer Beware!!!

Have you noticed that design trends that are pioneered by West Elm are copied by all of the knock off stores 2-3 years later? They are really a trendsetter in contemporary home decor. The store is a bit smallish and there's so much more online at WestElm.com to buy... but this location gets 5-stars for helping me return merch I got on Black Friday... in July, a half a year later. The items were still in their original packaging, so that helps, but they understood that sometimes you buy new stuff when you move and it doesn't end up working out. The manager Brandon was more than accommodating. Now, I'm sure I'll find something else to spend my store credit on, there's so much cool home furnishings at West Elm, as they're always ahead of the curve. Thank you!

Yes West Elm has great furniture and a cool showroom, still a favorite of mine. But if you want to actually have the furniture in your home don't buy from West Elm! I have items I purchased in August still not delivered though I was told the items were "in stock" when I purchased them. Don't try calling the delivery service, they don't answer the phone and the voicemail box is full! Really West Elm? Aurhaus here I come. P

The first couple deliveries were a couple weeks late (late 2020 and mid 2021). No big deal. Then we decided to overpay on their Harmony couch. Constant misinformation from customer service. 2 month lead time turned to 8 month lead time. Delivery was missing parts. We had to call west elm after hearing nothing. They were not going to do anything about it until we called. This is a $5000 couch we are talking about. For that price we should have gone custom from Ethan Allen. They only offered 10% off after saying 10-20... We definitely did not feel like they made their mistakes right. We had spent over $15,000 at their store this year. Never shopping there again. Do not recommend.

Beautiful stylish furniture, but it needs minimum six months to get delivered and shipping is not free. For a high-end furniture store this is very disappointing and the customer service is the worst. You can't even return your furniture Piece because it's apparently custom-made.

I'm a huge West Elm fan, but I have never been to this location before. I was downtown today with my 3 kids and stopped in for some curtains and to possibly order some lighting. I had every intention of making some big purchases and was looking forward to receiving some help. We looked around the store for nearly 20 minutes and though it was not busy at all we weren't recognized or greeted by any employee. I was shocked. This isn't the service I've come to expect from West Elm. The store was immaculate and everything so well displayed. But the service was beyond lacking. I left without purchasing anything.

I have shopped at many West Elm stores and the staff is usually very polite in accommodating. I furnish rentals and love the fact that there are retail locations where I can purchase last minute items. I have bought many floor model items from the Denver and N Scottsdale locations and went to this location to purchase a few lamps and bedding. James the manager on the floor refused to sell me the floor model lamp and was not accommodating what so ever. If you have it in stock it should be for sale. I wouldn't complain but that wasted the time driving there, it shows up as being stock online at that location and I found it to be very bad business that I was told they had it and he refused to sell it to me.

We live in the Phoenix area and recently updated our backyard pool, patio and grill area. Working with a designer, we chose new outdoor furniture to complement the new modern design. Included in her recommendations was West Elm's Portside Outdoor Concrete Dining Table. We purchased it ($1250) and it was delivered to us in October 2021. It is now March 2023 and the tabletop looks terrible. I contacted Customer Service with photos showing how the tabletop had deteriorated. Their response was underwhelming and totally unsatisfactory. They literally did nothing more than refer me to the product page which recommends a furniture cover when the table is not in use. We have floor to ceiling windows in our home with views of the pool/patio area from the main living area and master bedroom. Phoenix is sunny 300+ days/year with little rain and temps rarely below freezing. I would expect an outdoor table for this price to hold up to such mild conditions. I would also not expect to have to look out my windows at a furniture cover every day...why purchase beautiful furniture?? I strongly advise avoiding purchasing this particular table and, frankly, this online retailer. I understand now why they do not offer a way to post a review on their site. Consumers have to stop putting up with such inferior products at these prices.

Where do I even begin....we bought a beautiful jewelry box for my sisters birthday. What turned out as a such a nice idea has quickly become a nightmare. This was no an inexpensive item but we wanted to get her something she would like. It came and it was literally broken and we understand that it likely happened in transit. It honestly look like someone threw it. She took it in to the store to exchange the item and they were really helpful and nice. Unfortunately their policy had just changed and they had ti give her an e-gift card. This was no big deal and she agreed to it. They could not get the system to work and so the e-gift card system was not working. They said they would have to mail the gift card according to customer service which is literally really annoying...this was a simple exchange. But my sister being the good sport she is agreed and gave them her address. They then confirmed it with her and she corrected them on the zip only to find out they still sent the gift card to the wrong address in another state because they messed up the zip. After multiple emails they have stopped responding. We are still out almost $300 and we have no resolution. This company should honestly be embarrassed...I would NEVER order anything again. This was supposed to be an easy nice gift and we still have not received the money back nor did my sister get a new one. I am beyond annoyed and waiting for hours on hold is not my ideal way to spend my day. This needs to be an easier process and we need our money back YESTERDAY!!!!

The wife and I just purchased a new home and needed to outfit 6 rooms with curtains, we spoke with one of their interior designers Melanie and she was very uninterested in helping us pick out any designs or even service us. I told her we were very motivated to get curtains and she took our email address down and asked us to take measurements and she would schedule a virtual meeting with us, she never reached out, therefore we took our business to Pottery Barn instead.

Paid $2200 for a couch. Within two months the cushions looked like it was an old used couch. The fabric was puckering and already wearing down. They talked me into upgrading to a $3000 couch only to have the same exact thing happened. One and a half years later, yes one and a half years !!later customer service continues to tell me they are working on it. Crummy product and the worst customer service! West Elm high end? Definitely not.

Beware!!! I placed an order on the West Elm main website that indicated all furniture would be delivered 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Then the website adjusted and placed all sorts of things on hold. The site was months delayed and now they hosed me. When I called they just gave me the run-around and backward answers that made no sense. I get it, you want orders...fine. But don't create a website that says things will be in when they clearly know they wont.

My gripe is with the company . I went to the store on Labor Day right before closing and was told I needed to purchase then before the sale ended. A sofa is a big ticket item and not something I was willing to purchase on the spot . So I started watching the price online and it went up $300 the next day and stayed at that price until the other day . It's was to $999 , more than Labor Day but ok I bought it online . Then the next day , I checked and the price was $60 less . Then the following day, it was $150 less , even less on Labor Day . So I contacted them and they told me don't make price adjustments. I could understand if it was 2 weeks later , but not 2 days . That's horrible service and I would never buy anything else from this Company or any of their affiliates. The fact that they charge their price daily is a really poor strategy . Spend your money elsewhere

Ordered a couch in May for July delivery. Today is October 15th and I still haven't received my couch and I've received no communication from the company as to the delay except for one email, two months after my couch was supposed to arrive.

I love the style of west elm and I have been in the store at least 5 times since October 2020. I ended up purchasing the delphine buffet and the manager, James, was very helpful. There are plenty of great sales associates that have also helped me in the past as well but are not overly pushy in their sales tactics. I would definitely recommend this location!

It was by happenstance that my partner and I both found the perfect sofa for our home and it was the same one. We proceeded to order other furniture and a rug. Our designer was great. West Elm contracts with Ryder for delivery. It has been an absolute nightmare. We get notices items are in the warehouse, then they are not delivered or delivered damaged. Once again today, we expected two swivel chairs. We received only one. The driver bold faced lied and said only one was ordered. The delivery receipt and online tracking shows two chairs were ordered and that one was refused. In attempting to locate the missing chair, we are told to allow two to three days for the warehouse to do a sweep. The last time, we called almost every other week to locate a missing rug. It was the same MO, the warehouse will do a sweep. The data shows items at the Phoenix warehouse in West Elm's system, but the Ryder warehouse shows it delivered (not true), not ordered, pending delivery depending on when you check. We are promised return calls from Customer Service at West Elm and the Local Warehouse manager. Only one West Elm sales staff has personally returned calls promptly. The problem, is the data in their system does not match Ryder's warehouse data system. So while the staff is decent, the delivery is undependable, the drivers and warehouse not responsive and even dishonest. It has soured the experience of purchasing new furniture for us at West Elm. Expect delivery to extend out 5-10 weeks, lost items, poor service and as in our case, all but one piece arrived without damage so far.

I can sit here and write a 10 page review but I will try to keep it simple and to the point. I spent well over 10k in this store I've worked with Starr the designer there and she's great! I don't have anything bad to say about her. If you plan on buying anything from here please be sure you like it if you don't you will have a very hard time getting a refund. I returned two sofas on 10/29 and today is 11/20 and still no refund. When you call customer service they give you the runaround I've been on hold today for over an hour trying to resolve this with no luck. I am extremely frustrated and have no choice but to blast them on social media in hope to get my money back; $1500 worth to be exact. Everyone I've talked to at the store or customer service they give you different answers and can't help, my time is valuable as well and the last thing I want to do is spend hours on the phone to get my money back. When these items were picked up from my house on 11/2 they told me it will be 7-10 business days to get a refund; I've been patiently waiting and when I still can't see a refund on 11/20 I decided to call back to figure out what the hell is going on only to waste more of my time and get extremely frustrated. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK! Do yourself a favor and shop else where this is my first and last time I'm shopping here if I don't get my money back I will get the attorney's generals office involved to see what they can do. This is totally bs no customer should have to chase down their money.

So glad there's a West Elm near the downtown area. This store is laid out beautifully and it's so much easier to park and walk to the store than the Scottsdale location. I found everyone to be super helpful and attentive. Only downside is that most of the items I was looking for were not in store- which was kind of the reason why I went in. The selection of local artisan products was impressive too.

I love the product and style of West Elm. Michael, the assistant manager at this store is phenomenally helpful. Unfortunately, this store rarely has product in stock and not all employees are as enthusiastic to provide a fun and enjoyable experience. Many times I've been encouraged by store employees to shop the store instead of online to show why local showrooms are needed. It's terribly frustrating to arrive at the store to find something that appeals but to be told I'll have to order online and cover shipping fees with weeks later delivery dates. I'm willing to shop the store but store managers need to be stronger advocates for their customers by keeping product in stock, answering questions, and coordinating promising delivery dates. Consider a larger store with better quantity of product.

I had the best experience here today. I set up an in home design consultation (yep, something West Elm offers). I am redecorating our living room along with some renovations in that area of our home and needed some help deciding what to put where. Well the amazing Carol B. showed up at my house (right on time) and totally helped me solve all my spacial issues. She was amazing and had great ideas to help me incorporate styles I wanted while maximizing the space. We picked some items online and then went to the store to see some rugs and other textiles in person. The in store experience with her was also awesome and Derek was super helpful too. I am so exited for my new living room. Thanks Carol and West Elm!

I cannot recommend ordering anything for delivery. This store placed an order for an $800 dresser for me that was delivered to a store on the other side of the country. I discovered this problem after placing a series of calls and getting passed around to various customer service people. I got lots of apologies but no solutions. The company doesn't really have a solution to this problem, nor do they take responsibility. Like other people have said, the customer service isn't great. But I don't really expect it from a national chain. I do expect the company to take responsibility for their mistakes, and they do not.

We have a historic home downtown and are super short on space. West Elm has the best looking, appropriately sized furniture to match our aesthetic. Not only is finding decor and home furnishings a breeze at this place, but the customer service is amazing. Dakota helped me out today. He's super knowledgeable about rugs and even helped me to our car after he saw my hands were full with a 15 month old and all the gear she travels with. I'm so thankful they added this location in Uptown Plaza.
