This place used to be awesome, then it went under new management. The menu has changed twice in the last 2 months. The menu is now basically devoid of the items I enjoyed. This would not be as much an issue if the website reflected the changes. It is irritating to call in an order to find out the items listed on the website are no longer on the menu or have drastically increased in price. I would like to point out that our office orders from them enough to be surprised that the order we placed 2 days ago is no longer available.
On to customer service. If I ask for a specific condiment twice, and check for said condiment before I leave, do not become indignant with me for asking a third time because it is not in my bag. Also, if your hours are printed on a piece of paper in your front window, it is over an hour past your stated opening time, and your front door is unlocked; do not act surprised a customer is standing in your waiting area. Also, your cook staff could inform the customer that the restaurant is not open yet instead of letting them stand there for just over 4 minutes waiting for service.
My evaluation of West End Cafe is based off of the criteria of consistency of service and quality of product. The West End Cafe is very lacking in both of these. It has to compete with the many great establishments in the area and is not meeting the standard. I recommend most any other non fast food eatery in the area over West End Cafe
