The 14 Best Filipino Restaurants In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Aside from Ludi's, West Hill Deli in Auburn holds the title as the best Filipino diner. It’s far removed from Seattle proper, but fits in well as part of the South King County Filipino community. From griddled dishes like ube pancakes and smash burgers to garlic rice plates, it would be difficult to repeat a meal here. Don’t be afraid to bring a large group—there's plenty of space, with many flatscreens if you’re looking to grab lunch while catching the game." - terrence jeffrey santos, kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

West Hill Deli Review - Auburn - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Since Ludi’s closed in 2019 (and still hasn't reopened yet), West Hill Deli in Auburn now holds the title as the best Filipino diner. It’s far removed from Seattle proper, but fits in well as part of the South King County Filipino community. From griddled dishes like ube pancakes and smash burgers to garlic rice plates, it would be difficult to repeat a meal here. Don’t be afraid to bring a large group—there's plenty of space, with many flatscreens if you’re looking to grab lunch while catching the Seahawks make their way back to the Superbowl. Here’s hoping at least." - Terrence Jeffrey Santos

When I moved to this area few months back, I used this restaurant as a landmark. My Philippino friends knew exactly what I was talking about and named this true authentic food. After my first visit, I'm officially hooked. Food is so flavorful, colorful, and lots of different options. Desserts, drinks, and pastries are not to be overlooked! My go-to is Moko Crunch with calamansi (citrus) ice tea, which is like their Arnold Palmer. I also recommend their "chicken and waffles" which is their ube waffles w/pandan chicken.

Google
The food was great. The meat in particular that we had gotten was cooked perfectly and well put together. The Ube and mango smoothies here are absolutely amazing. But what wasn’t amazing was the attitude and just negative glare the person who had taken our order had, was a real mood killer. Also they require you to tip something for some reason, even though the only service is them brining you the food, you have to put your plates and cups away on your own, and order at the front, which is weird.

Google
We were so hungry, we ordered too much. Eggplant tortang, diniguan, sisig were all delicious. The ube french toast was okay.

This was my first time eating breakfast at West Hill Deli. It has been a long time eating Filipino food for breakfast, they had a good variety of Filipino food and dessert. After ordering our food we waited for about 10 minutes, the food we ordered was delicious. If you enjoy eating or have not tried eating Filipino food I highly recommend eating at West Hill Deli. The staff were friendly and provided great service. Reservations not required and accessible to all. Food was pretty good, big menu, and will be back for more. Had the pork sisig, pork belly kare-kare, and a royal babingka.

Google
The place is nice and clean. The service here was a bit iffy. The lady seemed to have an attitude so in my opinion not the best customer service. We found a hair in my french toast, though we did get a refund for it and free icecream. A guy helped us with that and was very nice about it.

First time here, recommended by a friend and everything was so delicious! Uber pancakes were a hit! The tocino plate and turon was perfecto! Thank you for the great food!

Google
Restaurant is clean, I love the idea of bussing your own tables. But it can get cold and when you leave you end up smelling like smoke or grease. The only service you receive is in the front when you go to order your food and when they drop off your food to your table. They are friendly and when you need something they are prompt. The few times I’ve been here the food has tasted consistent and delicious! I’ve had their fry chicken and waffles, Laing and pork belly, kare kare, palabok, egg and Longanisa, adobo fried rice, sisig, fried fish and egg. All were delicious, I recommend any of these dishes!

Yelp
West Hill Deli is a hidden gem in Auburn that truly shines. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly smiles and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The deli has a cozy, hometown feel that instantly makes you comfortable. The menu is diverse, offering a great selection of unique Filipino cuisine. For brunch I ordered the ube chicken and waffles, and it was perfect - the waffles were warm, the chicken was crispy and juicy, and the side of oranges were refreshing. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get. I couldn't decide between sweet or savory so this was the best option if you're in the same predicament as me. If you're in the mood for savory, definitely get the pork belly benedict. This dish was absolutely delicious - both the egg and pork were rich, hearty, and bursting with flavor. It's clear they use fresh ingredients and put a lot of care into their cooking. While you're there don't miss out on the dessert. The ube white chocolate chip cookies are so soft and decadent. I would love to try it with their wide selection of ice cream next time. The service is outstanding. The staff is attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Even during busy times, they manage to keep things running smoothly without making you feel rushed. Overall, West Hill Deli is a fantastic spot for a casual meal. Whether you're stopping by for a quick brunch or looking for some yummy Filipino food, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
As a Filipina I'm picky about Filipino food and everything was SO YUMMY! Perfectly seasoned, love the additions of the sauces. Definitely not traditional Filipino but great additions like mac salad. Loved the mang Tomas for the pork belly. Ube pancakes weren't overly sweet. I'm pretty sure the meatloaf was imputido which i LOVE, never had it breaded and fried but will need to do that now. Ube latte you could taste the powdered milk/creamer but i didn't mind it. Halo halo was refreshing with mango ice cream since they ran out of ube. Service was great! Friendly staff, you have to bus your own tables but we didn't mind!

Yelp
As a return customer of West Hill Deli, it speaks volumes about this restaurant. Food: I've tried their pork sisig, pork belly rice bowl, and ube pancakes in the past. This time, I tried their pandan fried chicken with ube waffles and ube coffee. The chicken was crispy and served with a sweet and sour sauce. I loved how the ube waffles and coffee were not too sweet but full of ube flavors. Customer service: You order at the counter and receive a number stand. The staff brings you the food, water, and utensils. They can get quite busy on weekends, so service is slower, but the staff is very friendly. Seating & atmosphere: There are plenty of seats to accommodate large and small groups. It has a simple café vibe. I look forward to coming back for their ube options!

Yelp
I love my experience here, the food is really great! It's a hidden gem, can easily get packed! Friendly service, clean interior and decent price. I will come back to try more of their menus.

Yelp
Ambiance: a big diner type of vibe but open and airy. Service: standard Food: holy Molly people! You are getting authentic Filipino food plus a special menu that is more for fusion style go getter at a bargain!!! The quality of food for the price is unmatched. I went for the classic dinuguan and loved every bite of it. Be prepared to clog your arteries though but die happy! The Uber pancake... best I ever had.... In Washington. The perfect balance of sweetness and the pancake cooked well. Y'all need to try this place!

Yelp
I've been here 2x and last time I was able to reserve a table for 10. It was a seamless process. You can call or email to make group reservation. I really enjoy the atmosphere here. Very family friendly, easy going, and comfortable vibes. There are so many different delicious food and drink options!
google avatar

Yelp
So good we've gone twice. I'd say this is definitely a hidden gem. You order at the cashier area. It doesn't take long to get the food even when it's busy. Definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch.

Yelp
Our favorite Filipino brunch spot! I was very happy with each dish - flavorful and fresh, and yet not heavy or greasy like a lot of brunch foods can get. I highly recommend the pandan chicken w/ ube waffles (possibly a limited time special) and the calamansi iced tea. I saw through previous posts that their drinks came in single use plastic cups, and so I made sure to bring my own glass tumblers - I was grateful that they agreed to use them. All portions were good, and prices were super reasonable. I personally wasn't a fan of the to-go cakes (they felt dry and a little one-noted in flavor) but maybe it's not the types of pastries I'm used to. Regardless, the in-house food is wonderful! I will have to come back again later in the day to try the more savory lunch focused dishes.

Yelp
I'd give West Hill Deli a 3.5. There's an extensive menu that captures a lot of different filipino flavors. The space is big with many tables. After ordering at the front, you get to your own table and wait for the food to be delivered. Note that you will need to bus your own table so sometimes if they're busy, the tables will be a little dirty. Ube pancakes: comes with ube butter and also an ube syrup. The pancakes are nice and fluffy however I didn't pick up an ube even with the syrup. The butter however had more flavor and made it better. Pandan chicken: the fried chicken contains a mix of dark and white meat chicken. It's pretty crispy which is nice however there wasn't really any flavor - no pandan and no salt. Overall just okay. The calamansi juice was good but the ube iced coffee could've used more ube flavor. There's also an ice cream station with a lot of different flavors that you can't get anywhere else. Overall an okay spot.

Yelp
The BEST breakfast place I've tried yet! My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place on our way up to Seattle for a quick trip from Portland. The place itself has decent amount of parking, and seats inside. Clean and quiet. Staff were pretty quick at taking your orders at the front, and bringing out your orders. The food is to die for. I am not a huge breakfast person, but everything that we tried here was devoured in record time. I think about coming back often! Everything wasn't too overly sweet- and had the perfect crunch flavor factor with each bite.

Yelp
I drive by West Hill Deli a lot and finally stopped there for lunch yesterday. They have a good menu, and I went for the corned beef sandwich. Was not expecting to wait soo long for a simple sandwich. I ordered my sandwich at 11:50 and didn't get it until 12:30. My ordered was to go and noticed two other groups that ordered after me were served at their tables before me. I am not Filipino so possibly I was put at the back of the que. At any rate, forty minutes for a so so 18 dollar lunch isn't for me. Will not be going back.

Yelp
This place is great! I have came here for lunch and these are the great things about West Hill Deli: 1.) Food is good 2.) Lots of variety of things to order 3.) Prices are good 4.) Service is awesome and people are nice. Take pride in their work 5.) Been in the area for a long time family run 6.) Easy to get seated 7.) Pretty fast service I cannot think of any negative things besides maybe parking can get tough sometimes around lunch. I definitely will come back more in the future especially on my lunch break as I work in the area.

Yelp
The food is great there friendly I love coming down here when I am in the area try the loco moco or pancakes

Yelp
West Hill Deli is conveniently located near 167 on West Valley Hwy. My friend and I were craving homemade Filipino food and stopped in. The food, especially the arroz caldo was delicious like your Lola made it. Lots of windows to allow natural light. Casual environment where you walk into a counter service and bus your own table. It wasn't too busy when we were there but I needed to get up a few times and ask for more water. We enjoyed their pork belly and adobo fried rice with and scrambled egg on top. We also bought Spanish bread to go!
google avatar

Yelp
I have tried this restaurant twice and have come to the same conclusion for both tries. The food needs more flavor, it's pretty bland. I wanted to love this place so much, but I just wish it packed more of a punch. The ube pancakes tastes like regular pancakes and their adobo fried rice had a hint of adobo even though I could see there were pieces of adobo in there. Their service is good, they're pretty speedy with getting the food to you. You order at the counter and sit down at any table.
google avatar

Kathy N.

Yelp
Very nice service, clean restaurant, big portions. You go in and order, take a seat, someone brings the food out for you but you have to bus your own table when you finish. I got the pandan fried chicken and tbh I didn't taste pandan in it. However the servings were generous and the chicken was delicious. I liked that it came with garlic rice rather than just plain rice. The mac wasn't the best I ever had but was refreshing when paired with the chicken. Next time I'd love to try the ube pancakes! I also got the ube crumb cake to go. It was super super soft, not very sweet, and had great ube flavor. I want to try all of their other dessert options next time

Yelp
We decided to go Here again because we're craving some Filipino food. As always it was busy but this time it was BUSY. The parking could be really limited so watch out for that. This time there was a lot of workers, so the tables are always cleaned and the fast. The lady taking our order was so sweet. We got the adobo fried rice and it was okay, it needed more adobo meat in it. I got the crispy pork and added an egg with 2 lumpia. The Cristy pork and the picked veggies were so good! I did get the hard parts of the lechon, which sucked. The lumpia was okay, it wasn't worth the extra charge though. The egg was $2 and I don't know why I got that lol. The Ube pancakes THOUGH, was so good! You need to try the Ube pancakes, I'd go back just for that.
google avatar

Flora L.

Yelp
3 stars for food, 4 stars for desserts and 4 stars for service. It's a cute cafe next to a vet and has plenty of seating inside. The burger we got had pork belly and it had a lot of flavor. However, the other pork dish we got was so chewy and had the pork smell that I did not fancy. The ube desserts were very yummy and I'd get them again. As per service, they were friendly. But they only gave us 1 fork when my boyfriend and I clearly came in together.
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
Delicious food as always! Switched it up and got a garlic rice bowl. Hubby got his burrito and I ate his hashed browns. Love this family owned joint. Always fast and attentive service. The vibe is unique and we love it!
google avatar

Yelp
This place slaps. Hits the spot. Read all the reviews but just go check it out for your own sanity. I swear you'll leave happy and stuffed. Everything about this place is no frills with all the flavor. Check out my pictures for some suggestions but honestly anything and you can go wrong. Enjoy! PS. Looks like nothing from outside so you might miss this place.

Yelp
Made the trip all the way to Auburn after hearing word of how wonderful this Filipino place is, and the food proved to be exceptional. Although the Ube Pancake is popular, we decided to go with savory dishes. Bowl Ups come with rice and macaroni salad along with the options to add a fried egg for $2 or lumpia for $2.59. The prices printed on the menu were outdated and the actual costs were all more expensive by about $0.50. ----- Crispy Pork Belly Bowl Up: lechon dipping sauce and pickled vegetables ($13.45). ----- Pandan Fried Chicken Bowl Up: boneless thighs & tenders, crisp crust ($13.97). ----- Longanisa & Fried Eggs: garlic rice plate ($10.35). ----- Orders are placed at the front counter and there is also a dessert bar on the other side serving cold treats. The Halo Halo was certainly tempting on a hot summer day. Most of the tables were occupied at 1 PM on a Sunday. Employees here were friendly and the food came out relatively fast.

Yelp
Honestly our go to spot for delicious, comfy yet trendy Filipino food. There's something for everybody. Along with their various choices of Filipino food they also offer sandwiches and burgers. I'm making my way around the menu and now their daily specials. There's always something new to try. On this certain visit, I had their Kare Kare, the ube crumble cake that my boyfriend always has to get every time we come. My favorite drink to get is the calamansi iced tea, so refreshing. The Kare Kare was a great portion, freshly made garlic rice and the vegetables still had the crunch. I would prefer a more peanut butter taste and flavor in the Kare Kare. The soup was creamy and really went well with the garlic riceDon't forget to eat it with the bagoong, adds umami and a nice saltiness. It is a 'bus your own table situation', and you'll find the table where to put your dishes near the bathroom. Customer service is great and they play pretty good music while you dine.

Yelp
Aye this is a good Filipino spot with trill food and excellent pastries. Got the pancit and it was all gucci. 5 stars

Yelp
My experiences at West Hill Deli for Filipino breakfast have been a mixed bag. On my first visit, I sampled a variety of dishes including the beef Steak "Tapa & Egg" and the pork belly Benedict. While my wife thoroughly enjoyed her Tapa and Eggs with garlic rice, I found the pork belly Benedict to be just average. As someone who prefers crispy pork belly, I felt it fell short of my expectations. However, the hash browns were solid. The ube pancakes, though hyped, didn't quite win me over. On my second trip, I opted for the Garlic Rice with Longanisa and egg. While the dish was decent, I found the garlic rice lacking that punch of garlic flavor I was hoping for, and the Longanisa was pretty standard. As someone who typically enjoys cooking breakfast at home, dining out for breakfast isn't usually my first choice. However, if I'm feeling lazy, I might give West Hill Deli another chance. I've heard good things about their pork belly and Lechon kawali, which I might explore during a lunch visit. Despite some misses, I still believe West Hill Deli is one of the top Filipino restaurants in the area. With a few tweaks, they could easily win over even the most discerning breakfast aficionados.

Yelp
Food is good & good coffee! Ube pancakes is really good! Customer Sevices was good, it's more self serve & self cleaning! I like that they use real plates, helps with environment! A little expensive for the type of dishes but overall I don't mind spending the money since the place is clean and food presentation is very nice and food!
google avatar

Christy K.

Yelp
4.5 stars: One of my favorite brunch places in the area! The crispy pork belly bowl up served with garlic fried rice, cucumber salad and Mac salad is always a solid choice! Also enjoyed the ube pancakes, ube waffles and pandan chicken! I love just about everything I tried here including corned beef hash! Only drawback I have is the service which is basically nonexistent and not so responsive. However it's a no-frills serve yourself place so do expect that!
google avatar

Angie A.

Yelp
The food is wonderful! My husband and I have been here many times. We've had everything in the photos plus the french toast, coconut waffles and the lechon. It tastes like mom's cooking and is seriously amazing. I'd recommend anything on the menu. The problem though is the lady at the front, I get the impression that she seriously doesn't like me. I can't tell whether it's just me. I'm not sure what I do wrong, we order lots of food, tip well and sometimes do take away and spend $50-100 every time we go in on just two of us. So, I think from here on out. We will only be going if I want to be sneered at and not offered any water. Good luck with this place, it is not friendly!
google avatar

Joy Celeste P.

Yelp
Hoy! Is that Jufran? Jess it's my friend, so bring them with you! This is our go to spot for all day Filipino breakfast. Just be aware it gets pretty busy especially during peak hours. They have awesome service and yummy food! If you're a routine person like me that orders the same thing, mine would be the longanisa breakfast. I must warn you that it's dangerously delicious, and just like anything risky it's not a healthy thing. But life is short so eat what you like and explore! There's also ube pancakes and you know the whole rave of ube nowadays! Purple is the new black, yes like the coffee black. Anyways, I digress, come here but come soon because parking is limited!
google avatar

Kimberley C.

Yelp
Glad I finally got to try this restaurant! It was lively when we walked in so I was hopeful the food would be great. I don't go to Filipino restaurants much because I always have the thought "my mom cooks better." Which is 99% true most of the time. Lol. Here's the break down: Tocino plate with garlic fried rice and eggs I give this plate a 2/5. I really wanted to give it a 5 because they said the marinade was made in house. It lacked flavor and all I could really taste was sugar. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. I waited about 25 minutes for it. Ube pancakes I give this plate a 5/5. Masarap! Great ube flavor! I love that they added ube butter too. Definitely will order this when I need an ube fix. Ultimately, I'd like to visit again to try their other foods! Salamat!
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Overall, the place was clean, low key and food was delicious! I got the longanisa with fried egg and rice and it was delicious and filling. I also got the calamansi iced tea and Ube crumb cake and the tea was sweet and tart, crumb cake was moist and delicious. The food was super affordable and I paid less than $20 for everything! There is a parking lot with other businesses, it's not super big but enough to accommodate everyone. Make sure to bus your own table, and order before you seat yourselves. I want to come back and try the other menu items!
google avatar

Nandini H.

Yelp
Everything we tried here we loved especially the ube pancakes and vegetarian meatballs. It's literally kind of in the middle of nowhere but the long lines speak for why it's popular. The food hits the spot. I love that they have vegetarian options but hope they add some vegan ones too would love to come back again too try something new next time. The ambience and service is casual with no extra frills and you need to bus your own table but I don't mind that if the food is great.

Brandon T.

Yelp
Amazing food! And such a large variety of options. Price point is elite here, and the staff are all very helpful and nice. Couldn't say enough good things about this place!
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Love this place the crispy pork belly bowl is fantastic. The only negative is just my personal preference that the bowl could be better without the Mac salad. Good portion size and reasonable prices.

Tesha S.

Yelp
First time here!! When we order the lady is impatient, not personable. we ordered water with our meal. 10-15 minutes later had to ask again for water, delivered with attitude Our lumpia is brought, which is okay, the sauce I was dipping in was hair central. luckily the hair was seen hanging from lumpia. at this point the food ordered and already paid for, we don't want to eat at this point. So our food comes out, the longonese burrito hahaha! Where's the meat!? it was an egg and rice burrito with 2 maybe 3 little chunks of the meat...wont go back between the service the food and most importantly the hairs! Just don't waist your time!!!!
google avatar

Jose Javier D.

Yelp
They take years for a simple order .. ordered my order 1 hour and a half and showed up they still didn't have it ready a simple sandwich
google avatar

Nicole Q.

Yelp
Ube pancakes. I could probably end the review right here. This restaurant brings me back to my childhood. Authentic, delicious Filipino food. I honestly wanted to order every single dish on the menu. I had the longanisa breakfast. Excellent dish! I'll be back for the turon and halo halo!
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
Our experience was great! The lady in charge of the front end was really nice. Very clean and well maintained space. I ordered the Grilled Short Rib Tocino. It was so flavorful and delicious! My boyfriend got the Adobo Braised Pork Belly which is technically Pork Adobo. That one is bursting with flavor as well! Well marinated and well seasoned! We also ordered lumpia which is not bad for the price and it's tasty! All our food came in hot and fresh! We saw some Mango Swirl Crumble cake and Ube Crumble cake that we ate this morning and it was addictingly delicious! Safe to say, we are definitely going to come back! It's quite a drive from where we live but it was worth it!
google avatar

Gigi J.

Yelp
What a unique place! Everything on the extensive menu sounded delicious. I had the Longanisa with garlic rice plate which ended up being my fav! I'd recommend visiting this place if you enjoy Filipino food. It's a self-cleaning cafe and we didn't mind it as it was overall clean and efficient!
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
Absolutely fun and delicious. Got the chicken and waffles which was heaven, the French toast- bomb, and the crispy pork bowl was tasty, crunchy and hit the spot. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the ice cream..thought it lacked strong flavor! But I didn't go for ice cream, I went for brunch and will definitely go back again and again. Phillipino fusion is the new thing!
google avatar

Annaliza M.

Yelp
Love this place and supporting them! After trying the ube pancakes vs waffles we agree that ube pancakes are better especially with the ube butter and syrup! so good ! Lechon Kawalli and the crunch loco moco is our go to every time! never disappoints when we go! the service is really good! you order at the front then find a seat and they bring your food to you. When you are done it's a bus your own table type of place !
google avatar

Wennie H.

Yelp
Family run business that has great customer service. This is definitely a local spot. Food took a bit to come but for how busy it is, it makes sense. Food was fresh, portions large and everything tasted pretty good. The have pancakes have my heart, soft, light, tender. The ube jam was a great accompaniment.,We would happily return to West Hill Deli, worth the drive for sure.

Jamie N.

Yelp
Good food and presentation. Good size portions. Greeter could have smiled more to make it welcoming.
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
Awesome brunch place! Came here on a Saturday afternoon and we had a reservation and got a nice table. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. I got a coffee and a pork belly Benedict. It was the first time having a pork belly Benedict and it was great! The hollandaise sauce was amazing. The pork had a good flavor. The hash browns were a little lackluster though. Coffee was fine. Customer service is pretty good here. I'd definitely come back to try their other items.
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
Super friendly and fast service! Lumpia--yum! I wanted to buy a whole pan--but, resisted! Good price, varied menu items. Ube is very popular here and looks good!

Yelp
First visit and became our most favored Filipino restaurant in Washington! We beat the crowd too!

Yelp
This place was absolutely delicious. I had the bbq brisket sandwich and it did not disappoint best brisket I've had up here. Their chips were homemade and the perfect side. I also had their chocolate chip ube cookies and it was one of the best cookies I've ever had. The service was excellent and quick and the price was amazing for the quality . 10/10

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. The prices are great and the portions are amazing! I was super happy and full when I left. The Ube pancakes are a must-try, but you can definitely share them with two people. I had the crispy pork bowl and I highly recommend it. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more of the food items. I am also intrigued by their ice cream flavors!

Cathy R.

Yelp
Service is bad. The lady thew the plates on the table as she didn't wanna get money??? No tips for me

Yelp
Very yummy and varied food options. Would recommend. The desert had a wonderful mix of textures and flavors that kept you guessing 'til the end.

Yelp
Order at the counter, get your number, and find a seat! West hill deli does Ube pancakes, French toast, and waffles so well. The ube butter, ube syrup, and maple syrup are must tries if you come here. If you're looking for something that's not sweet, I recommend the garlic rice plates. I really enjoy the sausage and toscino plates. Casual spot, great food, and there is ice cream you can get at the end of your visit.
