My group stopped in Saturday at 11am for an early lunch before an event. They only had 2 food vendors open. That's the only negative. We were hoping for more. The food was good an we enjoyed ourselves.

Recently had a good lunch at the Caribbean Cuisine. The jerk salmon was tender and perfectly spiced, paired with some very flavorful boiled cabbage and rice and plantains —a great balance of heat and sweetness The jerk chicken and rice were just as impressive, with bold seasoning and a slow, satisfying heat. The beef patty on the side was flaky and packed with savory goodness Everything was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. If you're craving Caribbean cuisine, this spot is a must-visit!

Google
I ordered food from SOCA, the Caribbean restaurant. The food was amazing!! I ordered pan seared red snapper. The sauce with vegetables covering the snapper was cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful.

Google
Great atmosphere and Great Vibe!! The smoothies are the bomb!!! I literally been here multiple times trying each smoothie and haven’t been disappointed. I brought my 86 year old grandad and he enjoyed it. The pizza I have tried twice both times were amazing and I also tried jerk chicken egg roll which were from the Caribbean spot and were delicious, the pineapple upside down cake was good and the brown sugar lemonade was DIFFERENT. I will definitely return for the vibe. A lot of other food choices kind of pricey in my opinion but hey the whole world nowadays are pricey. All in all I will keep returning

Google
I had the Jerk Chicken fries at Soca! The fries are amazing! The atmosphere inside West Social is full of energy and good times. I also enjoyed my cocktails at the bar. It's a great place for parties, a solo date, or a group date. There are several other restaurants to choose from as well.

Google
Went on the opening evening. The place was buzzing. A great vibe, good food and drinks. We got the chicken wings and they were a decent portion and the sauces were tasty. I highly recommend the garlic honey. The beers on the tap were also great. There is seating, which was great. There is street parking. Overall a great addition to the Dayton food scene.

Google
We absolutely loved this place. A large dinning area so there is lots of space which gives it a comfortable feel. We were like kids in a candy store with all the amazing food and drink choices. We heard so much about the Oxtail dish that we had to try it. We couldn't believe how good it was. The Oxtail definitely lives up to the hype. We also tried some Illy's pizza and we had a crazy huge chicken sandwich called the Rude Boi. Everything was beyond expectation. We found out that the patio is dog friendly so next time we are bringing our dog Rose. 🌹

Google
Had the Caribbean Cuisine and a beer from the bar. SO good! Very affordable, nice seating indoor or out, pleasant bathrooms, friendly service. Just across the street from free National Park Museums with great exhibits.

Yelp
Stopped back for a cocktail on our way home from dinner. Happy to say the bar is still cranking out great cocktails mixed by talented and hard working bartenders. The place was hopping with college homecomings and reunions and the servers were in constant motion. Everybody was getting their drinks in a timely manner; no lollygagging! Sad to say that two of the five food court spaces are currently vacant- and one was closed. Don't panic; Soca Caribbean Cuisine is still here - thank goodness - because to me they have always been the absolute best choice. (Maybe that's why the others didn't make it?) The barmaid said they were expecting one new vendor before long. Also the last time we were here I noticed the board game collection had been drastically reduced and was kind of tucked away in a corner. Although the choices are less than before, West Social is still highly recommended for a vibrant bar experience and/or some Jamaican beef patties, and I will be back.

Yelp
I tried the Jamaican restaurant, the service was as quick and nice as can be. We had a large group over 20people and were able to rearrange setting to suit the needs of our party. The food was absolutely delicious. We were impressed with the quality and price of the food. Definitely making a special trip to Dayton in the future for this gem.

Yelp
Much love for West Tap and Social. I once lived in Dayton but now only visit annually witnessing both urban decline and revival over the years. West Social Tap and Bar is a huge bright spot on the west side of downtown. It's a trendy food court and bar that has something for everyone. Expect to look for street parking, I didn't see a lot. There were five eateries open during my visit strategically placed around the parameter of the building. In the center of the building is a huge oval bar with a skilled bartender. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the DJ which was on duty as early as 6 pm on a weekday. Tall overhead bay doors opened up to an outdoor seating area. My meal of choice was from Soca Caribbean, their jerk chicken was very good (not great) seems to be covered with bbq sauce. My wife grabbed a meal from De'Lish, fried fish that tasted great. I can't wait for my next visit, this place is a must.

Yelp
Amazing experience from start to finish. So happy Dayton has something like this. We parked on the street and got a booth. Ordered from Delish, Illys, and the Filipino spot. All were sooo good, and ready quick. Plus the staff at each spot were so friendly. Can't wait to recommend this spot to anyone living in or visiting Dayton. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
More businesses need to be on this side of 3rd Street, and this place is a great start. Combination of Cajun-Creole, Filipino, Caribbean, street tacos, pizza, + a full bar. Collard Greens and Soul Rolls were both great. The birria tacos were fantastic, but I was hoping it wasn't so flat and thin. The lumpia were short and am used to them being much longer. The macaroni balls were good and even though some items are fried and not healthy they make it taste delish. Definitely going back to try other items.

Yelp
My wife had a small procedure and wanted some comfort food. What better option than Mz Jades Soul Food!! Every single dish just has so much flavor, and her passion of great dishes just shows with each bite. The catfish, whiting, greens, yams, etc....all amazing! Many shout outs to Mz Jades and her staff, because this is food done right!!!

Yelp
Love that something like this is coming to Dayton. Food hall style with a bar in the middle. Lots of TVs for sports viewing and lots of options for food. Everything smelled amazing when we entered. Plenty of options at each site, and easy enough to walk between the restaurants. Not tons of staff interaction, but everything was clean and we were happy with our experience

Yelp
Great new spot to check out in W. Dayton!! No matter where I am or what cuisine I might be in the mood for, just about EVERYTHING tastes better in a food hall, or at least it seems that way. I was here on a lazy Saturday afternoon, and wasn't quite ready for a big meal yet, so was more or less checking it out for future visits. I challenge you to not have a long, tough debate with yourself on whether to order at the Caribbean, Mexican (taco), pizza, or Philippine counters. If I were hungrier, I probably would have sampled a bit of everything, but decided on a couple of tasty Philippine lumpia at the Lumpia Queen. A warm welcome from the owner, along with a bit of their history made my quick meal even more delicious!! I'll be back... Don't miss this wonderful new spot in an often overlooked area of Dayton. There's also a great coffee shop and cozy bar. You can even come in early for some wonderfully tempting breakfast specials... Locally owned and operated, super clean, and full of fresh, flavorful options, this is definitely a "not to be missed" spot on Dayton's culinary landscape!! CHECK IT OUT...!!!

Yelp
Great place on the Historical Westside of Dayton just across the River and under the highway from Downtown. The architecture of the neighborhood is classic and the building itself is just cool. Six independently Black-owned businesses offer a diversity of food & culture in a 6,000 sq Ft, open concept space. Caribbean, Cajun, Street Taco, and Philippine cuisines all meld with a coffee shop & bar to provide options & exploration in a comfortable and convenient setting. We were hear for some Sunday breakfast Brunch in between travel softball games, but highly recommend the journey. Congrats on a relatively new but great addition to the Dayton & Ohio dining scene!

Yelp
You want a new and cool hang out spot in Dayton!? You found THEE PLACE! The atmosphere is casual, cozy, and exciting! Great food. Coffee. And a Bar!? Yes please. Whether it's a Tuesday night or Saturday afternoon, this is the best spot for good eats and fun times. They have a handful of restaurants that you can choose from which is tough because the aroma in the place had me and my husband eager to try everything lol. We eventually landed at Soca. I had the curry chicken meal and it was an awesome choice. The flavor was there and I would order it again! My husband had the jerk chicken meal and the spices were just right! He loved every bite. We also had a beef patty and it was perfection and only $4. We will definitely be back. Bring your loved ones, family, or hang out with friends. This place won't disappoint.

Yelp
What a great addition to this area of Dayton! Six restaurants to choose from under one roof! They also have a great beer selection. Parking was not an issue even on their opening day. There is street parking everywhere. The ordering process is very easy. You scan a QR code and can order from multiple vendors under one ticket. It's great. I sat at the bar, had a few Sonder Voss, and enjoyed some soul food egg rolls. They have plenty of seating and a nice big patio. I will definitely return.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for lunch one afternoon. Neither of us had ever been. Yet, we truly enjoyed the environment and the food options. We both tried Caribbean Cuisine. I ordered the oxtail dinner with pineapple upside down cake and he order jerk bbq wings and jerk ribs. I enjoyed my meal. It was very very filling. I couldn't finish all of it. The dessert was a no for me. I was expecting yellow cake but instead it was a very cinnamon cake. It did not taste good at all. I threw it away after 2 bites. My husband liked the taste of his but he was expecting jerk seasoning and he said there wasn't any jerk seasoning on either meat. We will definitely go back to try other restaurants. I think it's a wonderful idea to have a "food mall" near downtown. I like the area, the parking and the ambiance. It's a must try for everyone.

Yelp
I love food halls, and it sorta seemed like a nice, interesting place. It's next to the Wright Brothers museum on 3rd Street in Dayton. The park ranger said the catfish and burgers were great there, so I came in hungry and excited. I saw a few restaurants, mostly world-themed such as Caribbean, Thai, Mexican. Then a soul-food and wood-fired pizza place and a bar. I chose the Taco Street Company, which I gave them a terrible review (yea yea check it out!). Wish I would've went with the pizza place. They do have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. But the bad experience from the taco place killed the vibe for me.

Yelp
What a great dining hall located right across from the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center. There is a nice variety of seating available inside, and it looks like they have a great patio space during the warmer months. The most challenging part is picking out what to eat! There is a bar right in the center, and then the food selections around the edges: De'lish (Cajun Creole), ILLYS Fire Pizza, Taco Street Co., The Lumpia Queen, and SOCA (Caribbean). The place smelled amazing, to say the least! We ended up with a cheese pizza from ILLYS on our recent visit, but we'd absolutely love to go back again and check out some more tasty food.

Natasha K.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere here and I love supporting black owned businesses. They do a great job here with everything. Great food, great service. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Taylor C.

Yelp
I went for Sunday brunch with a girlfriend and we enjoyed our time! Music was great and all of the workers were very polite and personable. There are 5 different restaurants inside, not including the bar and coffee area. I will definitely be back for more food, mimosa's and vibes!

Yelp
Nice new family friendly business on the west side. Patio seating as well as ample inside seating. Diverse people; good food. You can get tacos, wings, pizza, and Philippine cuisine... D'lish was not open and that is why I stepped in... But the tacos were good as was the Filipino cuisine and the drinks were outstanding. Come rediscover the west side with a new modern vibe.

Ariauna H.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin. We tried the Caribbean & Cajun food place. Everything lacked flavor, it was dry, & the drinks aren't full. They charge for purée. It's a mess! I literally would not recommend this place to anybody. We bought over $100 worth of food to give it an experience . It's a nice vibe and customer service is really good though! It had great potential! Not pictured is the Lumpia we tried from the Filipino food place and the lumpia was eh. Not the best but not the worst.

Yelp
Taco Street Co. had the best tacos and the most phenomenal service. Really made my birthday special!!! Can't wait to eat there again!

Cool spot. Good food options, outdoor seating, live music. Got taco bowl. Fresh ingredients & delicious

Yelp
West Social was a delightful place to grab dinner and drinks on a Monday evening! It was not crazy busy at all and there is plenty of parking. The Cajun restaurant is closed on Mondays, but the rest of the place was open. We had the Jamaican food from Soca. The jerk chicken was delicious! I normally HATE cabbage, but the side it came with somehow made me question my hate for cabbage. We also ordered drinks from the bar and the Warped Wing Trotwood lager was wonderful! They were nice enough to add a lime, which made my beer refreshing. The main issue I had was the online ordering system. Although it is easy to navigate, it needs an option to modify meals. For example, if you have food allergies there is no option to make a comment on the order that I could find. However, it appeared you can go up to the restaurant and order. It does take quite some time for the food be prepared. It took a little over 20 minutes for the food, but they were working hard and appeared to have a lot of orders. Additionally, it was confusing when I picked up the drinks from the bar because there were 4 drinks there. I was unsure which one was mine. No one was over by the drinks to ask for clarification on which drink was mine. Unfortunately it also appeared that the floor was coming up in a spot already. Overall, the space is amazing and the food was great. I can't wait to see this place grow and what amazing things they are going to accomplish on the West Side of Dayton. I can't wait to go back and try all the food!

Yelp
I tried the curry chicken rice and cabbage dish with High Hopes. It was good for a bit salty for my taste and expensive. Looking forward to trying other Restaurants there.

Charlie H.

Yelp
We went with another couple and we all had different item from different venues. All the selections were very good. We encourage you to give it a try. We went early and are glad we did as it as it quickly filled up! We will come back often!!!

Charls C.

Yelp
Awesome local place! Love a bar in the middle of 5 local restaurants...especially when the bartender (Brooklyn) was so great! Need to come back because we could not eat at all places, but ones we had were fantastic. Nobody I spoke with had a negative thing to say about any of the eateries, so look forward to getting back to try the rest...just be careful on parking; they have a map and trust it.

Yelp
De'Lish has thee best food ever! Their service is great and fast. The bar has good drinks as well! One stop shop

Wily S.

Yelp
Soca is bomb! We loved it! We doordashed and tried a little of all of their several delicious Vegan options, they were all perfect! The plantains were still hot and melted in my mouth I've never visited this location but we absolutely will now that we know they exist! Apparently there's beer too! I can only testify to the amazing vegan food, and my siblings reaction to the vegetarian desserts, but you can tell they care about the food they're making and I'm sure the rest of their food reflects that as well.

Diane E.

Yelp
My husband and I are in town from Georgia and had the most delicious salad and pizza! The service was second to none and loved the atmosphere. I am a former Daytonian and was pleased to have our friend Jake Wells recommend this place. I asked him where he got the delicious salad he was eating- and off we went! We'll be back!

Tyler K.

Yelp
Making my way through each restaurant here. Everything I've tried so far have been delicious. I'm so happy and thankful something like this has come to the neighborhood/ Dayton. There is food for everybody at Social Tap along with a full service bar! I can't wait to see what other establishments this business will bring to the area. Keep up the great work!

Ashley M.

Yelp
The bartender argued with me about a drink I didn't order and tried to kick me out over an 8$ drink. Poor customer service skills at this bar. She was unwilling to listen to my point of view and blatantly rude. I will not be going to this bar however I support the local businesses that sell amazing food at this establishment.

Riyale C.

Yelp
the service is 5 star, i recommend it to everyone! the food is so good especially the jerk egg rolls !
