The 21 Best Restaurants On Martha’s Vineyard - Martha's Vineyard - The Infatuation
"The West Tisbury Farmers Market isn’t just for picking up bunches of island-grown kale and fresh-cut flowers—it’s a must-stop for some of the best bites on the Island. Check out what’s smoking at The Swimming Pig—hopefully their housemade sausages or a rack of BBQ-rubbed St. Louis pork ribs that have a perfect bark after a six-hour smoke. Or visit our favorite rainbow-clad food truck, Goldie’s Rotisserie, for some juicy chicken or a french onion hot dog. Round it all out with something sweet, like a lemon pound cake with poppy seed drizzle from Ophelia’s Treats. The lines move slow, but this farmers market is a place to see and be seen. So, pack your favorite sun hat and get there right at 9am, as things often sell out and the market packs up at noon." - morgen schroeder, tanya edwards

"On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, there’s the West Tisbury Farmers Market (1067 State Rd.), which starts for the season on June 12. It opens at 9 a.m.
There’s the Martha’s Vineyard Sea Salt company — I always buy salt from them to bring back to New York. I pick up smoked bluefish from Martha’s Vineyard Smokehouse. It’s a spread you can put on crackers, and it’s so good I can’t get enough of it. If you like sweet stuff, there’s Enchanted Chocolates and Pie Chicks — I love their apple-cherry. I also love Milkweed Farm; it has great produce. Beetlebung Farm is also there. That’s Amy Schumer’s husband’s family farm."
Nice farmers market, pricey but cheaper than other places on the island. Prepared food is reasonably priced ($5 large eggroll, $6 cold noodle salad). Fresh meat is expensive $40 for a 4 pound chicken. Bag of salad sells for $10. Great chocolate stand (with long line as soon as the market opens). Open Wednesday and Saturday high season. Worth going to. There's a bathroom here too FYI.
