"Everyone knows Idaho Springs for the Tommyknocker Brewery and Beau Jo’s Pizza. But in 2015, the hungry ski gear-donning hoards got another spot in Idaho Springs to stop: Westbound & Down. Producing award-winning brews like the Westbound Double IPA and the Double Barrel Louie, they have a menu of solid bar favorites with a twist, like their classic bison burger or the fried green tomato BLT, plus vegan options like the BBQ jackfruit sandwich or falafel. Westbound and Down was also heavily awarded at this year’s Great American Beer Festival." - Rebecca Treon

Google
We had a great experience at Westbound & Down! I ordered the Glider Cider, the chicken sandwich, and a side of green chili cheese fries. The chicken sandwich was delicious and above average with a flavorful rub and house made pickles. And let me tell you, the chili cheese fries were the best thing I’ve eaten on our trip to Colorado. They had a pulled pork green chili and beer cheese. The servers were attentive and friendly; the seating was comfortable; and the drinks were good too!

Google
Had a great time. The nachos were delicious. We got a side of the cauliflower too. Yum yum yum. The beer was soooo smooth. If I didn't need to go on a hike, I would have had more. Our server is a sweetheart. Very accommodating to all the picking things my kids asked for. The kids enjoyed their burger and fries

Recommended by other hikers I met on the trail, it did not disappoint. Solo hiker and went in wearing my hiking clothes and they did not judge, even though it felt like a nicer restaurant/brewery. From the hostess to the female bartender, everyone was kind and helpful! I did not grab her name but she Was fantastic and helpful. Beer was good and I got the Thai sandwich but chicken instead of tofu recommended by the bartender! Definitely delicious! Service was great and they were attentive.🩵

Came in for a bite to eat for lunch on the way down from the mountains. We were seated promptly (plenty of room) and were able to get our order placed pretty quickly. The food came quickly and accurately. I had a burger and it was pretty messy to eat but it was pretty good. Honestly, the patty was under seasoned and lost among the toppings. Kind of hoping the burger would stand out My wife has a buffalo chicken sandwich and she mentioned that it was underwhelming. Not enough flavor from the buffalo sauce I will say, the stand out item was the French fries. Those had a great crisp to them and were seasoned well. Also, the house made ranch dressing was good too. Made my son's chicken fingers that much more enjoyable. I wanted to give this place 5 stars and if there was more seasoning / flavor, it would have been.

Google
Not a bad place considering the small town and how early everything closes but I was not impressed. I enjoyed my beer flight more than the wings. My BF they were good and well he likes wings what can I expect. If we stop by again on our way to the hot springs or on the way back I’ll try a different food item.

Google
I had an awesome all around visit. Katsu tofu sandwich had fantastic flavor. I’m not vegetarian but it was awesome and plenty of flavorful food + a side. Beer was great… I tried the 2023 gold medal Westbound select. Service by Zach was outstanding. I usually just don’t expect much but his stood out as 10/10. He explained the beers and menu, checked on how the food was, and was attentive despite it getting busy.

Google
We had a pleasant meal here. I got the ahi sandwich. It was fine, but not amazing. We got wings for starters and those were pretty good as well. I had the sangria. I highly recommend it.

Google
I had an incredible experience at Westbound and Down in Idaho Springs! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is welcoming with a great mix of rustic charm and modern comfort, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The menu has fantastic options, whether you're in the mood for something hearty or light, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop!

Yelp
Not pictured is the buffalo chicken sandwich and Tofu Katsu. If you aren't vegetarian/vegan and are wanting to try something new this is a phenomenal sandwich. The buffalo chicken sandwich was also very good! Can't forget the fries either, these are by favorite type of fries. They are perfectly crunchy and tasty. The expansive beer menu gives you plenty of options to try many things if you would like. We have been here a couple times and the service has been great both times. The restaurant is rarely large so there wasn't a long wait time either.

Yelp
I chose the seared ahi sandwich which is a sesame crusted tuna, tagarashi aioli, Napa cabbage, pickled carrots, cucumbers and a sesame ginger dressing. He had the fried chicken sandwich which is a fried chicken breast with house hot rub and white cheddar, coleslaw, tomato and pickles. He said no pickles but it came with pickles. He didn't care for the regular spirit of the west beer but he drank it. Water station on the back wall by the bar and it was convenient. The seared ahi sandwich is a yes. Ahi seared perfectly and not overcooked but smooth in texture. With the accompaniments I really liked it. I usually don't have many options at a brewery so was glad this turned out delicious. His sandwich he didn't like. Too much coleslaw on it. He is not impressed with this place and doesn't want to come back. I might to get the seared ahi sandwich.

Yelp
$$$ many tourists in Sept 2024 Visited grandchildren. Local brewing, no regular beers like coors, miller. (IPAs and ciders) Fruity drinks. Very spacious restaurant, very good food, had fried cauliflower (like tempura). Good appetizer & huge. I tried the bison burger. (It tried to snow while we were there do dress warm). Hsv was 94F humidity hsv 60%

Yelp
Buyer be ware. The food and drinks are good but they are not transparent with extra charges. They charged us for a sauce to go with chicken strips and fries. Then they told us our total instead of providing a receipt to review and took the card to charge it. Then when I got my receipt after they ran my card there was a 4% surcharge on top of a burger costing 24$!!! Wow then I tipped 22% on top of that because there wasn't a 20% option and it was awkward to type in a custom tip as the server stared at me. Not a great experience on the payment side this is how a basic lunch for two adults and kids turned into $140. I think we will skip stopping here again. I thought other folks could be helped out by hearing my experience. Ask to review the receipt before handing them a form of payment. Definitely my mistake don't let it be yours.

Yelp
I always note that I have to stop the next time I pass W&D when traveling on I-70. So glad I finally did. The hostess was incredibly kind. Lunch hour on Labor Day Weekend was pretty crowded, but we still got sat with our dog right away. The food menu is not super expansive but it all looked tasty. Tofu katsu was amazing! The Gem salad was pretty tasty, and a touch unique with Calabrian dressing. You can avoid the fried chicken - not really fried, lightly breaded at best, and had an off-flavored sauce. Not the best. I loved that each menu item had a recommended in-house beer. Parking is in the lot along the highway. Don't forget to pay for parking!

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer before leaving Idaho Springs. I tasted both the Mexican lager and Dark Mexican Lager. Liking the dark better, my wife and I each got one of those. This place is big, so we sat in the back with the garage doors pulled up. Nice day with a view of the waterfall, not to mention I70 with all its eastbound traffic. We don't eat, but I see some of the food, and it looked good.

Jerry O.

Yelp
Our go to place in Idaho Springs. Today, a house porter, an impossible burger with a salad and a tofu katsu with a salad. All delicious. After snowshoeing above Echo Lake. When in the mountains, stop here for good food and beer!! Friendly staff. Comfortable bar seating.

Luke G.

Yelp
The beer here has high accolades. The menu highlights the beers that have won competitions. When we went they had 3! I'm not a huge beer connoisseur. The beer was good, but not incredible. However the food was a pleasant surprise. The salad dressing was perfect, it wasn't swimming or faint. The tomato bisque was the best my wife has ever tasted‍

Maggie D.

Yelp
This has historically been one of our favorite stops for lunch on the way home from skiing. The past few times we have stopped the restaurant has been understaffed and we were not able to stay. We miss the old WB&D and hope they can staff up to return to the great experience and ambiance we have had in the past.

Briana S.

Yelp
Honestly, we came in to eat at the Buffalo, but we had to go here to be seated. I'm kinda confused as to what the relationship is between the two places and if they have the same menu. Online it seems as if the Buffalo has more options...so I had no intention of being here but was seated here..? There wasn't really that many people here when we went but service was incredibly slow. The only time our waitress attempted to speak with us and stick around was when we were paying and my husband was putting the tip in. So that put a bad taste in our mouth. I ordered the Bison Burger....I was just stunned. It was smothered on both sides with whatever sauce they use. It was so sauced up I couldn't even pick the burger up because the meat kept sliding out and sauce was getting everywhere! Now, when you put that much sauce on something that tells me you are hiding something or you don't know how to cook/season and want to hide the fact it may not taste great. I wasn't impressed by this place at all.

S M.

Yelp
I don't understand why this place has high ratings. I gave it a start for the beer. The staff is rude (especially the hostess w/the curly hair). After standing at the hostess stand for several minutes w/o acknowledgement, the ppl ahead of us went to a booth and the bartender yelled at them from behind the bar to go back to the hostess stand...she has a pair of lungs. She then started to help us, disappeared and didn't say anything to the hostess. The hostess was immediately insulting and everybody in our group caught it - that is when we should have left. The waitress seemed knowledgeable about the dishes, but very unhelpful and her final recommendation, the chicken tinga nachos, was awful. It was soupy and the chips were soggy, barely a drizzle of the avocado creama and it was cold. She had to be asked to take empty dishes from the table, which was needed d/t the limited room. She wasn't helpful w/their bill paying system, which wasn't the easiest to figure out. There are very few gluten free options. The booths are cramped for 2 ppl on one side. I would highly not recommend this place...except for the beer.

Melissa Z.

Yelp
Stopped in on the way home from a hike for a quick beer and grub. Sat outside which is great with the street patio being covered. Service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the chicken nachos and they were yummy! Went down easy with a sightseer hazy. Such a fan of this brewery!

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Stopped here after a hike in Blackhawk. We were seated right away in the restaurant area. Our waitress greeted us right away- she was super friendly. We of course started with beers, both of which were very good. They have a lot of IPAs but even my non IPA loving husband was able to find something for his palate. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered the chicken sandwich, but subbed the fries for chili fries. The food came out quickly which was nice since we were super hungry. The food was good but the highlight for me was really the chili fries- don't pass on those. Overall I'd recommend this nice spot if you're passing through!

Yelp
Delightful evening on the patio after a paddle! We headed straight here from Rocky Mountain Whitewater Rafting (an exceptional intermediate adventure down the Canyons!). Beautiful evening on the street patio. 5.0 - Atmosphere: great inside & out 4.0 - Service: good waitress, crazy fast bar 4.5 - Drinks: excellent craft beer (get the flight!), pretty good rest ($$) 4.5 - Burgers 5.0 - Green Chili: spicy! 5.0 - Fries 3.5 - Mac & Cheese

Yelp
IPA heaven! We tried westbound, Juice caboose, how the west was won, and western skies and liked them all - in that order. Westbound and juice caboose were SO GOOD. We bought westbound cans to take back to Texas. This place is THE place to have brews in Idaho Springs. Loved the chicken tinga nachos. My kiddos just had fries- he liked the fires.

AJ K.

Yelp
This sweet place serves delicious beers in an amazingly comfortable and chic setting. The Mexican lager was tasty and served in a .5L mug. It paired perfectly with the Chicken Tinga Nachos and the Green Chili. The green chili was spicy, but I was able To taste it ahead of ordering to make sure it worked for me (spice wise). Yum! I will say the one lacking aspect was service. Our waitstaff kept walking away mid conversation and the place was not busy. Additionally, it seems presumptuous when we scanned to pay and it automatically asked if we wanted to leave a 22%, 25% or 28% tip. I will be back though for the delicious beer, tasty food and ambience!

Yelp
Summary: I honestly had lowered expectations when I walked in because the vibe feels like an alehouse chain, but I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Our server was awesome. Very attentive, kind, capable, and experienced. She was juggling multiple tables with big families, but she clearly had everything under control. There was a good rotation on tap for beers and other drinks. To paint a picture, the size of the menu was the typical alehouse menu where it feels like they're serving everything and the kitchen sink. That being said, that's where the similarities end. Westbound & Down have a lot of unique items on their menu and they don't just have it there for the sake of having it there. They do a great job executing and they're not stingy on the portion sizes. The bao bun had great flavor and was cooked well. The caesar salad was tasty and enormous. It looks like it would be a great spot to watch sports games with a large party, but it's also a cool place to stop by with your family. The location itself is in a strip of touristy spots within Idaho Springs, but after visiting some of the other spots, I would recommend Westbound & Down as being clearly above the other establishments in terms of quality/experience.

Andrea G.

Yelp
Stopped here after a hike and was blown away! The buffalo cauliflower was some of the best I've had, the wine was delish (they have more than beer options!), my double Patty burger was juicy and had a ton of flavor. I will be back! Our waitress was attentive and nice and helped with recommendations!

Maria L.

Yelp
Mixed review from our visit here. Service was very slow, while we sat at the bar. They were busy and it was hard to get someone's attention to order and pay. The beers were great and the wings were the best part of our visit. We enjoyed those very much. We also ordered the bleu cheese chicken sandwich, which we thought was ok. It could use a stronger flavored sauce or seasoning. But it was cooked well. I'd be open to trying this place again, hoping this was a one time occurrence with the service.

Stefanie C.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Minus the parking situation, it's always fun to stop in Idaho Springs for a culinary adventure. My friends and I went to Westbound & Down after hiking St. Mary's Glacier, and it was POPPIN' on Miner St. I'm sure the locals are thrilled... anyways, this is a huge brewery with different sections, one of which is for coffee! I'll have to go there next time, but this time, we were seated at a booth in the brewery part of the restaurant. Would love to sit at the bar in the future. The food honestly wasn't my favorite. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with Green Chili Cheese Fries. I can't put my finger on why it wasn't as appetizing as I thought it'd be (maybe I was too exhausted from the hike) so I'd be down to try it again. Or something different. Same with the Jumbo Pretzel with Beer Cheese. I did love their beer, though. That's how I knew about Westbound & Down to begin with. I had their Spirit of the West and would totally come back for their beer any day!

Sean E.

Yelp
Hello, my old friend. Stopped in for a quick bite and a few brews and was not disappointed. The new (to me) Tofu Katsu was killer - I dug the buffalo tempeh but see why they made the switch. Pair that with a Westbound Select and that's How the West was One.

Kyle P.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our first visit to W&D, a really solid brewery and gastropub in the cool former mining town of Idaho Springs. Many different options on tap, many of them as good or better than your more notable craft breweries in the surrounding areas (Cerebral in Denver, Outer Range in Frisco, etc). The Double Juice Caboose is a great double IPA that rivals some of my favorites back in Chicago. Expansive food menu with several vegetarian options. The pretzel was fresh and tasty, as was the beer cheese. I will say that their prices are quite high, particularly for the area, but it would not necessarily be a detractor for coming back. Will be interested in trying some of their other food options next time we're in town!

Angela C.

Yelp
Westbound & Down Brewery in Idaho Springs is large restaurant compared to the other restaurants on the Main Street. There are multiple areas to sit. The brewery section looks modern and could probably host parties. That area you can see where the beer is brewed. The restaurant and bar area is my favorite! It looks like it has kept much of the historical aspects of the building. On a Saturday evening, we sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. There were many other customers but it did not feel crowded. My partner ordered the original burger with bacon and a side of pork cracklings. The burger was a huge hit! It had a lot of flavor! I ordered the cauliflower wings with the buffalo sauce. They were delicious! The wings themselves were decent sized. Crispy, but not overcooked. I have been to this location several times. Each time I have had a wonderful experience and I intend to visit again. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Idaho springs!

Dani D.

Yelp
Great food, awesome staff, epic location, tasty brews! Try the tofu katsu, you won't regret it.

Deidre F.

Yelp
I came here wanting to have a drink and meal because of fighting I-70 traffic home on a Saturday night after skiing at Breckenridge. This was my first time in Idaho Springs. The street that this restaurant/brewery is on is super cute. I wish I was here during the daytime to walk the street and walk into the other stores. I picked this location because it had a full menu and not just bar food and drinks. I was surprised by how crowded it was. I was also surprised of how large the venue space is. It seems that there was an original size and location and then they bought additional parts of the building to expand. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with a side salad. The cheesesteak was smothered and cheese. This was not what I usually envision for a cheesesteak. I did enjoy my fruit sour beer. The service was standard. I was taken back when our server sat down at our table when he took our order haha I did not like that the tables around us were still covered in dishes and food, and the floor around them was needed to be swept. There was no urgency to clean tables in the area around us after dining guests left. Overall, I had a good experience here and would like to explore more of Idaho Springs especially the restaurants and breweries on the street. I am happy that I stopped here because it had actual good food and actual good beers - you need that when enduring I-70 ski traffic!

Madison P.

Yelp
Wow! Excellent service from everyone, but especially Hannah B. Fun ambiance, kid friendly, decent food, and excellent beer selection. We had the bao buns, chili, and French fries. The chili was excellent and the French fries were top tier. The chili was too spicy for my toddler so the waitress brought us a burger patty for him and didn't charge us for it. She was knowledgeable about the beer selections, generous with tastings, and super welcoming. I love when places offer flights and this place even uses cool large glasses for the flights instead of small ones where you can't really smell the beer. We were surrounded by other families with kids and I saw her going above and beyond to honor everyone's requests and keep everyone happy. Later we came back for more beer on the back patio. It was a super fun vibe and my son loved that they had corn hole in the front. Everything was clean and there are diaper changing stations in both bathrooms. My only wish was that there were more veggie on the menu, but it was still excellent.

Rachel P.

Yelp
Sooooo good!!! Just go here if you're in Idaho Springs or driving through. We stopped in heading home from Denver (Westbound and up) and loved our dinner. We came in really tired and in a hurry to keep going. Atmosphere is fun, our waitress was awesome and helpful, and the food delicious. There is a little bit of everything on the menu. Great kids options. Vegetarian and vegan. Plus, obviously, awesome beer. I was feeling really indecisive and our waitress helped us navigate the menu. She was really friendly. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh. Tofu Katsu is like a Bahn mi but better. Impossible burger was crispy with great fixings. Kids options were perfect. The decor is modern and fun with lots of western style.

Jisaela T.

Yelp
My partner and I were visiting for a couple days from California and our Airbnb host recommended Westbound and Down. To say it was incredible was an understatement. We also had the best server, Jenae, who was kind, funny, attentive, has the best earrings and was absolutely killing it serving a huge section alone on a busy night. Also, one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. When I am craving a burger that is exactly what I'm dreaming of. The fries were also so crispy and delicious. Can't wait for our next trip to Idaho Springs.

Kristi M.

Yelp
There is truly no better stop in Idaho springs for cold brews, amazing service, and great food. Our waitress was honestly amazing. Her personality was awesome. She truly made our experience that much better. The food was delish. Absolutely recommend the ahi tuna sandwich on a vegan bun. We will deffo be back soon to eat our way through the whole menu!

Natalie Q.

Yelp
We got the chili cheese fries to start, which were great. The chili actually has some spice to it, but they put it on the bottom instead of over the top of the fries. Pretty much went downhill from there. Got the spicy chicken and nachos to split with my friend. Worst chicken "patty" I have ever tasted. Soggy breading and the coleslaw flavor clashes with the buffalo chicken sauce. Couldn't eat that. Mac and cheese had zero flavor, which I don't know how that's even possible. Nachos were ok, but not great, especially for the price. My husband had the burger and said it was good. Service was very slow and it wasn't a busy night. Nice, just a very long wait for our food. Watched people that came in after us get food before us. Overall, very pricey and very dicey. Will not be going back unfortunately.

RC R.

Yelp
A great mix of modern and old school mining town. It is really two atmospheres in one. The beers are great and the food is top notch. The burger is one of the top 5 I've had - yea, it is really that good. The folks that run the restaurant are down to earth and very welcoming. Fantastic place to stop for a drink or a whole meal. It is not to be missed when in Idaho Springs (or near it).

Jay K.

Yelp
We mostly stop in Idaho Springs for lunch on our way to Breckenridge from the Denver airport. I love the old buildings and the restaurants in this tiny mountain side community. I love Pork Green Chili and this place some of the best I've had. 5 stars for that alone. The rest of our visit was a strong four stars. My wife's chicken sandwich was served on a slightly stale bun. Really inexcusable. The limited menu has flavored house chips, buffalo chicken nachos, a very popular jumbo pretzel, and green chili cheese Fries and cauliflower wings on the appetizer side. There are only two salads. The rest is burgers, chicken sandwich and a not to common to the area, a Philly cheesesteak and a seared Ahi tuna sandwich. I'm not really a craft brew guy but I did find a brew that was quite good. Service was good, plenty of parking in the back and a really Colorado mountain vibe inside.

Amy T.

Yelp
Recommended by my cousin for the burgers and beers! For a party of two we sat at the bar, no wait necessary and service was fast. Chill ambiance, typical brewery vibes. If you are new to beer or not into that typical beer taste go for something light and refreshing like the Perpetual harvest peach blonde ale, reminded me of a fizzy peach juice on a warm summer day. The Fruit squad raspberry- barrel aged golden sour, my husband described it like a raspberry war head very sour from start to finish. There is no mistake that this is a sour beer. The westbound beef burger was a decent burger with soft toasted buns, fresh pickles and tomatoes, with a cheese melted on two patties. The fries were the best. It had a double fried texture not over salted. Honestly wanted to order another side of it but was filed up by the burger. Husband said the Philly cheesesteak was super cheesy filled with meat also very satisfying. He ordered the chilly cheese fries which was an additional $6 to the dish, it tasted more like a chili verde with melted cheese which was interesting. Overall great recommendation, would come back to try more of their beers. You can also order beer to go!

Christina M.

Yelp
I enjoyed this brewery with a cool aesthetic and vibe. We sat at the bar since tables had a wait. Totally fine since I enjoy sitting at the bar most places. We just spent the afternoon at St Mary's Glacier and wanted to take a break before heading back to Denver. Idaho Springs looked cute from the highway. It is very cute. The historic downtown area is blocked off and people walking around. There are cute shops, bars, and restaurants. At Westbound and Down the beer, cocktail, and food was all really great. Service on point and such a relaxing vibe after coming off the beautiful mountain.

Pamela M.

Yelp
This was a great place and highly recommended by our rafting guide after our excursion in Idaho Springs. This was a while back now since I went, but what a cute little area Idaho Springs is! I would go back again for sure. My friend was visiting from out of town (Wisconsin) and we did an easy version of rafting. Of course, we were starved after that as well as our ridiculous 2.5 hour drive (that typically takes 30 mins -- think twice about driving here on a Friday before a holiday weekend!!!!). We had a bit of a wait and it was perfect because we just grabbed some beers whilst chilling outside in the nice sunshine. Pro Tip -- the to-go beer is a way better deal! So, we made out pretty good grabbing beers and waiting for some grub. The beer was good, too! I think I posted a pic of what I ended up with, we tried a few first. I remember the food being good, not mind-blowing. The burger I got I remember being on the skimpier side. I heard the chicken sandwich was where it's at -- but I'm a believer that all things on the menu should be great or take them off the menu! :) That area is adorable for some touristy shopping!

Tehri P.

Yelp
Nice place, and the beer is good, but they must need to hire more help. The bartender was super rude, and basically unhelpful.

Courtney P.

Yelp
Great place to stop on your way up to the mountains! Great food and beer. Big place too! The blt sandwich was so delicious and so were the fries!! We also got the Buffalo cauliflower but everyone ate it so quick, I couldn't get a photo!!

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Love this place! We were on our way to Breckenridge and stopped to grab a beer and some food! The beer was amazing, the way Colorado beers always are, and the Tofu Kadzu sandwich was delectable! As vegan traveler, I'm always on the hunt for good vegan food! This place is a must!

Julie B.

Yelp
Westbound and Down is one of my favorite stops on the way to or from the mountains. The vibe is always friendly and welcoming here. The brews are great, the food is unique and offers new items regularly, and there are aways options for a vegetarian like me. I have always had great and friendly service and this visit was no different. It was a holiday weekend and for a Saturday stop, not overly busy. I love that the street is now made for pedestrians allowing for expanded outdoor seating which is where I sat to take in the last warm fall weather. There are many good options for appetizers but, i wanted a meal today and bypassed those on this visit - they alone can make a meal if you order a couple and share! I ordered the club sandwich substituting their tempeh for the bacon and wow - what a delicious bite this was! I ate it and the fries (soooo good!!) in no time and was sad to see it end. Note to self to find a reason to head up soon - writing this review has me needing a fix!

Yelp
We came to do some rafting and via ferretta, then stayed for dinner. I enjoyed a very good spicy chicken sandwich, my daughter had a solid burger and we also enjoyed the beer cheese fries. It was above average food (way above average for a lot of the other places near by) and the service was very friendly. I also tried a few beers- solid choices, very heavy on the IPA's though. I think maybe 10 of the 15 were IPA's.

Yelp
This is our favorite brewery in Colorado. I've been here 30+ times and it never gets old. If we're going to the mountains, we're stopping here. The Hazy IPAs are the best we've had in Colorado, no question. I think every beer we've tried has been good. The food is also delicious. Tofu katsu sandwich, cauliflower wings, lemon vinaigrette salad are all yummy. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Service wasn't the best. We got our appetizer the same time as our food. Others that came in at the same time as us were finished before we got our food. The food was pretty good. The fries appetizer was very spicy. The tofu sandwich was surprisingly good. Burger was average burger.

Yelp
This is the best spot to stop at on your way down the mountain. Great beer and the burgers are killer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the vibes are always awesome!

Yelp
This place is a regular stop for us on our way back to Denver from trips to the mountains and we stopped again yesterday after a weekend in Palisade. The food and the beer are always good and this time we had exceptional service from Hannah. She talked through both food and beer options with us, giving us stellar recommendations, and just a fun experience overall. We all had the Westbound Beef Burger with double patties. I added caramelized onions to mine. Wish this location was closer for more regular visits!

Yelp
The best beer in Idaho Springs, many GABF winners, so if you're interested in good beer, definitely Westbound & Down. Excellent beer selection. However, the atmosphere is rather cold and sterile and the service was unimpressive. We were sitting at the bar and it took 5 minutes for a bartender to break away from talking to a friend to come by and ask for our order on a Friday afternoon after skiing.

Yelp
Awesome place for beer and lunch! It does get busy on weekends and we had to wait half an hour for dog friendly seating on the back patio. There is a nice front patio and a bar that you can get beer from while you wait. They have a great selection of beers, as well as cocktails, wine and even coffee. For food, it's elevated pub grub. I liked that they had a vegetarian option of Buffalo tempeh sandwich. The tempeh and sauce was delicious but I think they could have gone with a better bun and topping options. My husband also liked the fried chicken sandwich. The green chile fries weee our favorite part! It's definitely worth upgrading to these. If you are heading back from the mountains, this is a great spot for a drink or food. I've had better sandwiches but the beer and atmosphere make it worthwhile.

Yelp
Great spot in Idaho springs with a large beer selection and American food. We got the green chili fries and buffalo fried cauliflower - both were good! Our friends ordered the pretzel and it was great. Stop by for a beer and a snack during your time here. I suggest asking for a booth - the back room is so cozy and cool on hot days!! Q P

Yelp
This place was a recommendation from a friend of mine. It's very industrial, which I thought was really cool. The menu had a lot of options so there's something for everyone. I'm not much of a beer drinker, so if that's your scene, then this is definitely the place for you. My friend and I tried the BBQ cauliflower wings & the fried green tomatoes. They were so good! Definitely want to get them again. Will for sure be back.
