The 17 Best Things to Do in Denver

"There are plenty of organized brewery tours in Denver, but it's just as easy (and maybe more fun) to create your own thanks to this interactive beer map put out by the city. Downtown has a high concentration of quality tasting rooms, and we suggest starting at Wynkoop Brewing Company, Denver’s first craft brewery. Fun fact: It was co-founded by now-Senator John Hickenlooper in 1988! Next, make your way to Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery for modern takes on traditional ales. Then it’s time for a heavy-hitter on the Denver beer scene: Great Divide Brewing Company. Finally, finish up at Woods Boss, a relative newcomer on the Denver scene that goes all in on Colorado kitsch. If you’re tired of cheesy tour guide jokes and feel comfortable ordering a pint, this DIY tour gives you Denver’s best beer at your own pace—and at a cheaper price point." - Megan Barber, Nicholas DeRenzo

Joy made this stop awesome!! What a lovely lady! She was so kind, informative and helpful!! Cheers to you Joy! Great beers, & hard tea. We sat in a common space, and enjoyed a break from all the chaos of the day. Parking was a little challenging.

Amazing taproom, the beers these guys do is second to none in my opinion. And you can order food from the adjacent Milk Market to your table. I didn’t catch her name. But the lady behind the bar was awesome. So friendly and fun, and knowledgeable about the beers. And she makes this bar a must visit place for me whenever I travel through Denver.

A nice little brewery in a cute alley in Downtown Denver. They have some different craft beers, hard tea and ciders. It's on a great location because you can get food from the milk market as well. Great vibes

Google
Perhaps the most unassuming brewery I’ve ever visited. So much so, it’s not really like visiting a brewery at all. It’s more like a food court. The beer was solid, and LoDo is cool, so don’t avoid it. Just don’t expect a “brewery experience.”

Easy drinking beer - not terribly diverse menu, but well crafted if into an ipa or lager. Beer aside the ambience cannot be beat! The interior is just as posh and inviting as the exterior is cute and clean. Perfect spot for a drink, date, or whatever! Dog friendly to the max 🐾 ❤️

Google
Awesome spot tucked down a side street of shops. Plenty of indoor seating with some outdoor options and a cool leather seating lounge. Super solid beers. The hazy IPAs are right up there with the best in the state! Friendly servers, too! 👏

Google
There are a lot of seating inside, but a lot of it sucks, there is a lounge area with what looks to be really comfy chairs, but they are really just pillows on the floor. There is a nice area where you can look outside and people watch, but the hot air from the ac vent blows directly on you. There also is some nice seating on the street, but it has been full everytime I come. Lastly, they do not have a toilet, so you have to go across the street, and into the depths of another building to empty your bladder. Beer is good though...

Walking by, saw a nice alleyway that was decorated. Saw the brewery and had 2 pints. SUPERB beer. It's almost like a throwback to before the brewery glutt, not that I'm complaining. But it's so nice to get a seriously good beer. Great atmosphere as well, I wish I worked downtown now

Yelp
Westbound and Down Brewery is a fantastic spot in Denver! Their beer selection is diverse and full of flavor, offering something for every palate. The outdoor seating is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a pint, with a welcoming and laid-back vibe. Highly recommend stopping by for great drinks and a great atmosphere!

Yelp
Great IPAs! Also picked up a most-excellent t-shirt. If you're by the stadium, check it out!

Yelp
As a beer snob visiting Denver I wanted to try as man at breweries as I could. Westbound and down was amongst my favorites. While only beer sold here in a small ally, we went back three times during our stay. Their hazy and west coast IPA's were awesome. Derive is simple counter service only and a small patio of outside seating and a small inside area as well, this is a no frills place serving awesome beer. If you're looking for good beer in downtown, here's a place you must visit.

Yelp
these are some seriously good craft beers. Really enjoyed finding this place! and it's attached to a whole bunch of little overpriced shops and you can walk around with your beer so that's a plus! there is a nice patio outside with some heaters so plenty of seating options i would say. service was great! very nice beer tender there. keep in mind though they do have hot soft pretzels there, you are better off grabbing food from somewhere else in the milk market there. But I would come back here for a good beer anytime.

Yelp
I was searching which Denver breweries won awards at The Great American Beer Festival, and found this place. One of their beers won gold for the west coast-style IPA. Unfortunately, they didn't have that one on tap. Even so, my bf enjoyed the other beers they had. Westbound & Down has 3 different locations. This place is small and located in the Dairy Block. There are some seats inside, but we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the people walk by.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem brewery! Very tiny inside a little nook with shops, barber shop, restaurants. I loved the logo and quaint look of the brewery. The woman sitting inside at the counter was so sweet, they don't really do flights but they did tasters in the standard glasses that she poured up for us. All the beer was great. I liked their sour and saison best - but that's just my personal preference. Any seating inside you can go to. Great place if you just want a quiet night out without the hustle and bustle of a large brewery!

Yelp
This place didn't have any food from what I saw but they have a small selection of good beer. It's located in a cute little alley, also known as the free market. They people in here are really chill and will help you pick a beer that fits you, lol. The service is great and a great place to stop by while you stroll down through the market.

Yelp
The hazy ipa and the Hefeweizen were outstanding. The main entrance is through the alley behind the building. Small patio and indoor seating but neat and clean. Good beer. What more can you ask for?

Yelp
I enjoyed my beer here. It was really good. Bartender was friendly and welcoming. Only thing I didn't like is the location and small space. Oh and the lighting. Too bright for a taproom. Other than that it's a wonderful space for a quick beer.

Yelp
Great beer and Customer Service. Nice vibe, heated outdoor seating in a beautiful alleyway

Yelp
The dark mexican lager and regular mexican lager here are awesome! In a really cool alley close to Union Station made for a go alternative to some other busier & overrated breweries in the area. Would definitely come back!
